8 of us booked a table for a birthday outing. Got seated no problem. We'd already decided on carvery and even at 7.30 there was still plenty available. I personally settled for beef and turkey. But there was also gammon available. No garden peas though, only mushy 😔 But that's me being picky. Also drinks and takeout desserts to be had. Every member of staff was really friendly with us. Think some also enjoyed seeing the huskies after. More then happy to return and recommend to others

It's been a while since visiting here and it's been okay, but not brilliant. The decor is definitely in need of a refresh. Food was okay too, what we had wasn't great but not terrible either. The chicken sharer had good and bad bits about it. The nachos and southern fried chicken strips were really good as were the dips, the skewer was good too. The wings were not good, just plain fried with no seasoning and quite fatty. Deserts were again just okay. The sundaes were nice but both of them had missing sauces making them just ice cream in a sundae glass. There were also loads of flies in when we visited which got annoying. A few changes and a "bit of polish" and it could be really good here

I booked a table and carvery dinner to celebrate our anniversary, an was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic choice of veg selection available. The lady chef Hayley who served us went over and above to help us with our choices and was very polite. Staff members at the bar were also very helpful. A lady named Kayleigh served us at the bar she was lovely. Will recommend the carvery 100%!! Best meal out I’ve had in a long time

Had a lovely meal here tonight. Steak was beautiful, peppercorn sauce was on the hot side 🥵, just how I like it. Service by Rebecca was attentive but not overly in your face. Looking forward to my pudding as they have amazing deserts. Ordering via the app to the table is convenient - only downside to our trip was that the tables could do with a good wipe as they were a little tacky.

Came here for my Father In Law's 75th Birthday dinner. Warm, welcoming and an inviting atmosphere. All staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The only recommendation I'd make is garden peas, not mushy & mustard for beef, not horseradish...although it was a nice change!

Another pleasant meal. We had the standard carvery which was very nice. The selection wasn't as good as last time, but we came late, so it was probably near the end of the carvery. Overall, the food was well cooked and reasonably priced, and Pam made sure everything was perfect for us. Deserts are amazing. This is definitely a place I would recommend to others.

I've been staying in a hotel across the road this weekend so have visited here twice for Dinner and once for drinks. Rachel was a standout with her helpful and enthusiastic service, really good. To be fair all the staff are tops. The food was ace, carvery delicious. They have a great little ice cream area with lots of flavours for adults as well as kids. They also have some of the best cake I have ever seen. You have to try it, you wont be disappointed! 👍🏻

Had a wonderful dinner here tonight. The peppercorn sauce, which was a bit spicy and exactly how I like it, went perfectly with the steak. Pam provided attentive but not intrusive service. Looking forward to try the wonderful looking deserts next time!

We recently stayed in the Holiday Inn Express very close to Woodfield Farm for eleven nights out of which we ate here nine nights! Need I say more?!... The first impressions are of a building/ restaurant that is a bit tired and in need of a refurb., however don't let this put you off! All the staff that we encountered were great, there is a good choice of food (including a really good carvery) and the food itself is excellent and reasonably priced. My thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well 👍

Spot on carvery as usual, Straight in seated polightly as always. Really good atmosphere, The mega cakes are amazing! After a slice of mars attacks i was done. I would have given 5 but they ran out of pigs in blankets but all round top notch.

Called in to woodfield farm with my mum and just had to have the carvery as the smell of it hit us as soon as walked in. The lovely Kayleigh served us, she was so friendly and helpful as were the waitresses. The food was absolutely gorgeous Will definitely return. :)

Had an early tea 4:30 so the place wasn't full. Some seating areas were cordoned off which made it seem busier than it was. We were able to walk in and chose our own table and then you could either order from our table via a downloadable app (we have now done that for next time) or go to the bar to order. There wasn't much of a queue so that didn't take long. Non alcoholic beer is available either on tap or in bottles. Our food was not long in arriving and was very nice. We had a dessert also. The 'Mars attack' cake was a slight let down in that it didn't look like the cake on show. It didn't have any of the fancy bits on top (no sprinkles or bits of mars bar) but it was huge so I asked for a take away box so we could have 2/3rds of it at home later.

The venue is sadly looking a little dated now, but the food is good, there is a good range of drinks also available. A great outdoor area perfect for sunny afternoons, while the pièce de résistance, in my eyes at least, is the cake away, and more specifically the Mars Attack. Admittedly probably my entire daily intake in one slice of cake, but totally worth it and as a keen runner it is important to treat yourself once in a while.

I never leave reviews but we had such a great experience how could I not ! Firstly the staff kindly fitted us in between bookings. Kayleigh on the bar was fantastic she was so lovely and helpful, she helped me work out the menu and delt with all my questions patiently, she asked the kitchen to specially do two sausages for my son and one of the carvery ladies kindly got him some pease from the kitchen as they didn't have them on the carvery, to be honest nothing was too much trouble the whole experience was a great and the food was lovely Kayleigh even did the kids some fab ice creams ! we would definitely visit again xx

All you can eat breakfast 🥓🍳 and refillable tea☕ - £8.49 (bargain) 👍 Done this a couple of times before as a treat. This morning I met some friends . I booked a table this morning at 07:25 for 09:00 and we all tipped up an hour and a half later. Our table had it's reserved sign on it. We paid at the till and received our plate and mug and set off to collect our drinks and food. There was an abundance of sausages, bacon, black pudding, hash browns, mushrooms, chopped tomatoes (I think fresh halves of tomatoes but not positive) scrambled eggs, fried eggs toast (brown and white) butter packets and jam or marmalade packets. All was hot. I'm vegetarian so I didn't eat the obvious bits, (they do cook vegetarian sausages to order but they're not my preference) My friends obviously enjoyed everything as there were no complaints and they went up for a 2nd serving. All the staff were friendly, helpful and had plenty of time for you even though they were busy. I shall continue to visit for breakfast treats (and Cake-away. But that's a whole other ballgame 🍰👍😃 ) Tuesday 13 September A few months on and Google asked me to update. I went in this morning with 2 friends and the price has gone up by 49p, which is nothing when you think how EVERYthing has shot up just lately. The food was all still there as before so no complaints there. The staff were all cheerful and friendly as before. The music is loud enough to be clearly heard, but seems to be not there when you're talking so that's a perfect balance in my view. In fact everything seems just as before, which to me means they haven't rested on their laurels and have continued with their good standards. Just realised I forgot the Cake-away food later 🤔😕

Another pleasant meal. We had the standard carvery which was very nice, not as much selection as last time, but we did come later this time, so it was probably towards the end of the carvery. Came in to be greeted by the lovely Kelly and advised of the new menu. Have to say I’m really impressed at the new breakfast menu and ordered the poached eggs with avocado on sourdough bread: it was delicious! Prices were really good and the classic breakfast ( for my daughter) was a hit. Haven’t been here for a while as it’s off my route but will definitely be back!

I came here with family for a carvery. It was pretty good for the price. A small carvery was 5 Quid during the week. That was enough to fill me. As usual they ask you which meat or meats you want (veggies get a larger plate and can fill up on vegetables). There was plenty of choice of vegertables and we were also offered a Yorkshire pud. Ther's plenty of gravy and sauces. They have free wifi. They also have a kiddies playing area and seats outside

Came with my partner & two children. Ordered the jerk beef and i wasn't disappointed. The beef just fell from the bone and was cooked perfectly. Excellent staff too, very attentive and helpful. Can't fault the menu selection and the desserts here are to die for. In my particular experience, myself and my partner both ordered the large fish and chips. The fish was particularly greasy in both cases and left a bad taste in our mouths for a while afterwards.

I went to Woodfield Farm for lunch yesterday and today. I usually have beef at the carvery but yesterday I had turkey as the gorgeous Rebecca informed me that cranberry sauce was available round the corner at the end of the carvery. The turkey was lovely and made even better by the addition of the cranberry sauce. I did notice there was mustard so today I had the gammon, which just melted in my mouth. A word of warning the mustard is not a namby-pamby sauce so use it sparingly. Rebecca was very helpful and carried my plate back to my table for me and arranged a table close to the bar and carvery, which was useful as I have some mobility issues. Rebecca is very easy to spot as she is the best-looking girl there and definitely worth one, so I gave her a £5 tip, which she absolutely deserved.

Great pub for most purposes - family outing, having a drink etc. You get a free scoop of ice cream if you leave a review. It is similar to other places however it doesn't have as many options for food as other places would have. I ordered Macaroni Cheese and it had a slight burnt taste which I thought was just one bit but it had that weird burnt taste on all of the meal. I would recommend this to families, people that like to go out for a drink with their friends and people who enjoying parties. I would dine at Woodfield Farm again.

We have just been for carvery and what a bargain it was 1 adult and 2 kids carvery and a ultimate diet coke which did all 3 of us and was £12 absolute bargain. As I looked at the meat the beef looked dry but when she cut the edge piece it was cooked perfectly melted in you mouth. Not very often my kids clear there plates at tea time but as u can see they have. Excellent food reccomend to everyone.

Had a carvery... Was typical carvery fare...not too bad, but what you expect of a carvery... Plenty of choice... Further review...went for a buffet breakfast this morning and was very good. Food is nicely prepared and laid out...plenty of variations. Only criticism I have of the place is that it is in need of a make over.. Looking a little tired now, but I understand one will be done in the future...Would make such a difference to the ambience of the place. Friendly staff too. Amend star rating to 4...from 3. Would give it 5 if decore was improved..

Called for breakfast this morning, had the buffet breakfast…. Which came with unlimited tea, coffee and toast. Kelly and the staff were brilliant, the place was spotless. Only thing I would ask is for the choice of tinned tomatoes rather then or aswell as grilled but that’s personal choice. Either way we will be back.

Lovely carvery, I would suggest highly to pre book on a Sunday, the only comment I can make is, some of the veg could have been done a little bit longer, all fresh veg, and home made yorkshire puddings, didn't have room for a pudding, as a large dinner was ample enough. One thing, ladies toilets need fixed, it’s a month between our visits and they’re still broken! Dogs.. now barking dogs whilst eating is a no no.. all customers were complaining and one couple walked out.. please sort this out.. The ice cream was ok though. Overall not a good experience. The staff were friendly and helpful but the tables and decor have gone well past their refurbishment date. We’ll allow a Covid19 partial excuse for that.

We’ve just had a carvery here and I have to say this is the safest place we’ve visited to eat during these very strange times. There’s a guy on the door explaining everything you need to know about safety procedures and the one way system. Everything is cleaned and there is no contact with staff, they deliver drinks on trays and the carvery is done all by a member of staff. We were very impressed and felt completely safe. The food was great and we will definitely be back :)

Booked a table for myself, my partner and 2 young children as it was my Birthday and a family member had mentioned they come for the cake away, upon arrival we could see it wasnt too busy, we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table which was a table for 8 just by the entrance to the "play area" and i noticed smaller tables near the back that wouldve been more ideal as we had other families children running by and one child/toddler even grabbed my infants foot causing them to cry as i was feeding them, obviously the children arent the staffs responsibility but on my booking i noticed it said famies with children would be seated in the family area, no parents were in sight. Onto the meals, i ordered the macaroni cheese for myself, which tasted amazing but the portion size was on the small size and left me still hungry, my partner was satisfied with his burger, and my son had the kids sausages, mash and beans, all of which are things he usually eats all of, but he only ate one of the sausages a few of his beans, and a mouthful of mash, i tried to encourage him to eat more but i could tell by the texture of the mash exactly why he wouldnt eat it, it was practically solid on his plate, Still feeling hungry, i took my son to the bar with me to order an icecream, as hed seen in the display one he wanted with his favourite sweets on (strawbs) i also had a look and saw a few flavours i liked the look of, so i asked for a strawberry for my boy and asked for the crunchy munchy sundae for myself, to be told that it wasnt availible (there was definitely crunchy ice cream in the display) and that the only sundaes availible were brownie which i chose and something else that seemed more basic, once id paid the server said they would bring it round to our table, my son was devastated when his arrived as there was no sweet on the top which is what made him choose that flavour, and mine was very dissappointing, there were chunks of ice through the icecream as though it had freezer burn, so i feel i had just paid over £4 for a bit of squirty cream and a few tiny brownie pieces, was like the display was there to tempt you but the icecream was probably served from the back, probably wouldnt go again.

We have always found the meats on the carvery cooked to perfection and this visit was no different. The only one thing that wasn't up to scratch were the roast potatoes, they actually looked like they were done in a deep fat fryer, I didn't bother having some but hubby said they were edible. The huge eclair was beautiful, we had to take it home with us, we just couldn't manage to eat it. When we did eat it, it was perfection. The staff were very friendly. I like the idea of a wooden spoon being in the cutlery stand, when the staff ask how your meal is, they then take the wooden spoon away so others know you have been asked.

Myself and my family ate here fri the 18th of June. We had our daughter with us who has additional needs. She chose to have a carvery. Robbie was the guy who served her. He was very patient with her. She is gluten free. Robbie explained to her every thing all the different veg and meat. He was so patient with her took time to let her choose what she wanted. Very important for her to learn how to make choices. She absolutely loved it. There should definitely be more staff members like Robbie in other places. Would make things so much easier for vulnerable children and adults. Food was amazing lots to choose from. Large portions. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back. We love local so it's a 5 minute drive for us. Hope to go there again very soon. Can't thank Robbie and the staff members enough. Definitely made our evening less stressful ❤️

Ate with Mrs D last night. Carvery shut at 20.00 when we arrived but ordered from the main menu. Food portions nice and large compared to London. Prices unbelievably cheap compared to London. Staff friendly and helpful. Food tasty and well cooked. Mrs D's G&T was huge. I think it was a double. Cannot fault northern hospitality. Will be eating there again tonight.

Had a wonderful experience although asked for a half portion of chips if that was half I'd hate to see a full portion as I still left some food was excellent my partner ate most of hers as well was going to have pudding but not sure where I would have put it as to full after the main course but will try next time we go menu was plentiful something for everyone the stake was a tad over done but put that down to eating it last will definitely be going again. As for covid restrictions all was taken care of by the staff who were well trained and polite also very helpful all in all a joy to have lunch there as said will definitely go back

Nice place, welcoming staff and no only do you have various choices on the menu you can opt for the carvery instead!!! Cakes are what you call HUGE so a desert portion could feed 2 or 3!!! Normally it's desert was tiny and hardly worth it!!! Didn't have any but saw lots coming out for others 😊 Lovely young waitress called Jess spoke to us, asked if everything was ok and it was. Then another waitress asked us the same and asked if we would give feedback. Great customer service thank you!!

This is where my lovely partner & I go for our Sunday dinner every Sunday! We go quite late 6pm, after the busy period has passed. The carvery is amazing value for money and always tastes great. If you're not into carvery the main menu has something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans and is always cooked great. The people who work at Woodfield Farm are always very friendly, polite and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone at any time of the day and week.

The best covid secure restaurant I have been to since restaurants opening again, everything clearly explained to you, exactly what is needed, unlike some places. Using the order at table app was great, order drinks, with you in under 5 mins, food was quick too but still good quality. All the staff were friendly, nothing too much trouble, would happily take my young family back here again

Had breakfast this morning. Food was lovely. Only suggestion I have is with regards to kids breakfasts. They obviously don't benefit from unlimited tea and coffee, and they should get a fruit juice instead. To be fair our server was really understanding with this. Not so impressed as when we stayed over the road in August for a week n used the pub everyday. Felt staff couldn't wait to get us out the door Food had to be ordered by 845 which is fine. We assumed that was main course. Apparently its cakes too. So we didnt bother with pudding of coffees which lost pub about 30 quid. It was only 9pm fgs! Didnt find staff were really interested and never said goodnight when we left which is a must in places I've worked, good manners! Ringing the bell for last offers at 930 n then at 9.39 coming round n telling us to drink up! We know everyone has to be out by 10! One or two were really efficient though n had good banter! Working in the industry for many years think a few need to learn that customers pay their wages just a little more interest in their work n customer service. Foods good, drinks good. Service needs improvement in some areas

Fabulous family pub and restaurant. The menu is fantastic with unbelievable prices. Thoroughly recommend either the Hot Chicken & Bacon Salad or the Curried Chicken Skewers. Big portions so no need for a starter. Desserts are brilliant too...ice creams, cakes, sundaes. Gets busy but worth going.

Average food at regular prices, the place looks scruffy on the outside & inside. 4 people eating, two had something off the main menu & two had the carvery. The food off the main menu looked crudely put together (slap-dash) although one person enjoyed their meal the other hardly ate it. The carvery meat was excellent but everything else was poor, looked like it had been sitting there a while. In summary I only ate there as I was staying in the nearby hotel & fancied a few beers with a meal..... what actually happened was we had 1 drink ate some of the food & left. The pub has no atmosphere & the staff looked fed up. If I owned or managed the place I'd be embarrassed. ****We ate here last year on our way upto North Yorkshire and it was much much better **** The place should be a gold mine!
