OK so, yes, it's a Yates. So you do know what you're getting. But, that's no bad thing. The cocktail menu is 2-4-1, and that's a long island ice tea heaven for me, and they're made really well too. This one has a nice little seating area at the rear, which made stumbling home a wobbly doddle.

First time visit and was very impressed. The Mighty Stack burger was absolutely delicious, massive and not that expensive. Drinks were fairly cheap as well. The place looks well kept and the staff is friendly. There's a nice atmosphere. They also have the best chicken wings I've ever had.

I came here with my brother for breakfast. A traditional breakfast was 2.79 a person and includes a free drink. We went for orange juice. There was a generous serving of orange juice. The breakfast was decent and filling. There was too much black pepper on the mushrooms and tomato IMO. There's pepper on the table so why not let customers add pepper if they want to? There';s free wifi. All in all, very good value for money.

At Yates we always get quick service. The mixed grill was lovely but steak was tough. Last time we came we were given a free cocktail. For a friend's birthday. Yesterday it was my brother s 70th on St Patrick's day were were given Guinness hats . THANK YOU . WELL BE BACK XX

Highly recommend! Myself and a friend was organising a surprise hendo for our other friend and queried about beer bong on a Saturday but there was unfortunately no spaces available to hold downstairs. However, they kindly let us use one of their tables upstairs and also provided some hen party accessories which was such a lovely gesture. It really made our day, huge thank you to all the staff😊

I feel it is unfair to give this place less than 3 stars as i have no real experience here. On my first day of working in Doncaster for a week I came here for lunch at 12.45 only to be told there was a 45 minute wait for food. I counted 12 people in the bar who were not eating so it's possible they could have all ordered food hence the wait. Unfortunately it was too long a wait before going back to work. I returned a few days later to eat after work. I arrived at 21.00 but was told the kitchen had just closed. Disappointed again I did not return. The place looks lovely & the menu looks reasonably priced but unfortunately I never had the chance to try. Shame the kitchen closes so early.

Nice venue for a drink, great selection of alcoholic beverages. Really nice food and the menu does have some good choices. Can get really busy between Friday and Sunday and rowdy. Rest of week it's fairly busy, the food comes quickly and was cooked very well. Staff are friendly no issues there, well worth a visit.

Been here a few times drinking and a few times to participate in quizzes! Love going there as its a lovely open plan pub with the bar running down one side about half way down. Nice large smoking area/Beer garden and they also have pool tables upstairs which im not sure on time of availability but it looks pretty cool! Also pretty decent prices and they do some amazing shots, the chilli one nearly killed me off! Lovely staff too, had a few people deal with some issues I have had straight away so very good customer service! Thanks Yates, will come back soon

Great pub and the food was great however there was a few problems during our visit. Firstly, the worker using the till did not know how to use the till(possibly hadn't been trained properly?) and it took us a while to order our food. Secondly, when we ordered our drinks the worker had to keep getting a new glass as most of the glasses she picked up were not clean which showed signs that the dishwasher wasn't working correctly. The food turned up fairly quickly and was presented quite well. I would recommend this to the locals and anyone that enjoys eating at pubs. I would dine at Yates again.

Lovely food and staff are fab except for the small lady with blonde hair that has a face like a slapped arse that works there. I have had the pleasure of being served by her and also witnessed that she can be quite rude and abrupt to customers!! Apart from this problem I would recommend.

After a fun filled day at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster, we decided to visit Yates. Food was great, service was great and to top it all, we were stuffed. Only concern was that Chelsea was winning against Spurs and the TV's were very loud. Other than that, thanks for the service!
