My first visit to Hugo's and will definitely not be my last. The venue is fantastic. There's loads of space, comfortable surroundings and a good selection of food and drink. The staff were friendly, helpful and made sure that no-one was left hanging about or waiting for service. A particular commendation to Lucy who was working that day as she was particularly happy and helpful. All in all a very good place to visit for food, drink or both. Price-wise it's not the cheapest but by no means is it exorbitant and worth it for the surroundings.

This is specifically for the Six Nations "outhouse" added recently. Fantastic venue. Was able to take the dog in and sit in relative comfort while watching the Rugby and getting a fantastic fish finger sandwich. What Saturdays are made of. Only suggestion I could make is putting up some monitor speakers for the TV sound, as it was clashing out of synch front the various TVs. Not a big deal. Well executed set up by Ciaran as always.

Wasnt must to write home about. My sister had the mushroom soup she couldn't eat it as it was so spicy I had the roasted tomato again was very spicy but edible. We both had the chocolate brownie , the sauce they used was like a bar of chocolate that was melted in microwave; didn't enjoy it

Went for a surprise lunch. Sat outside in the sun and was very enjoyable. Had Staroprammen, lovely pint or two. Had haggis chips, very large portion but good value for money. When in the area again, would defiinitely make visit.

Always a lovely place to go for a wee drink. Staff are polite and friendly - we were let in buy the owner who chatted away to us until a table became available. He ensured that we had completed our track and trace forms and all of the staff were very attentive. At busy times, you might get your meal before your drink :)

This cafe bar serves convenience food, which is not our thing, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We went there purely because it is close to home, expecting mediocre pub food. Instead, we had a fish pie and beef stroganoff that were both very tasty. It is understaffed and we waited quite long before getting a menu, but after that the service was not bad at all. Most tables are high, better suited to drinking than eating, but it was not too uncomfortable.

Decent enough for a draft or bottle but cocktails are nowhere near the level you'd get next door at Louis Brown's. Service in general seems to be standoffish and I've been a few times now since opening with no improvement in this regard. Dare I say seems like they train the kids here to perhaps maybe one day graduate to working at Louis Brown's? The place, aesthetically, also looks like it was plucked right out from the Costa del Sol. A look that only really works ironically. Saving grace - huge beer garden.

Foods great, drinks are great, price is ok, service times lets it down. Takes over half an hour for drinks most of the time. Ive been 3 or 4 times now so not just a fluke or because it was busy.

Had a great night celebrating a birthday. Fantastic food, really attentive staff and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was spot on! The macaroni with the smoked haddock was devine! Can't wait to go back!

I watched a TV sports fight here, between a Mexican fast food enthusiast and a bunch of muscles this was an important fight for some reason. Very friendly staff and nice beer. Great place to sit outside and watch grumpy old people in the Tesco car park try and figure out who's going to reverse out the parking space first.

It's so good to have a beer garden back in the bay. A wide selection of food is available as well as drinks and cocktails. A very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff as well. Great for drinks outside in the evening or a meal at any other time of the day. 5 stars.

Great wee local cafe. Staff are exceptional. Great choice of local produce selected from local farmers, grower's, crafter's and baker's. I would highly recommend this hidden gem of a café to anyone looking for great local produce at an extremely impressive price Pure quality each and every single time we go. I cannot speak highly enough about this superb wee café. A must stop for all of the local community and surrounding areas, one to make a regular thing of! Don't miss out on the perfect wee gem!

First visit to this new incarnation of a restaurant/pub. Food and decor are nice however I found it very very noisy.. difficult to hold a conversation. Food was good but portions are too large, there must be lots of food returned to the kitchen, very wasteful.

We recently met up with some friends for a light meal and a few drinks at Hugo's. For a bar in a residential neighbourhood, the drinks prices are very expensive. The food is not that great. Quite disappointing. Atmosphere lacking. Completely empty by 9:30pm on a Thursday evening. We thought Hugo's would be a convenient place to meet up with friends for a quick meal or a few drinks now and then. I'm not convinced.

A great facelift for a Dalgety Bay landmark. The new bar location is inspired, allowing staff to serve customers inside and outside in the Beer Garden. The picnic tables and parasols are a great addition to a previously underused garden. Occasional live music. Only one niggle - does the football have to be on right behind the band? Surely that screen could be switched off when there's live music on? No sound, but very distracting, and, IMHO, downright disrespectful to the act. Otherwise, full maks & highly recommended.
