M. F.It's a very lively place. Good fun, food is pretty good. The service isn't the best I've seen, but I'm assuming it's the concept. You have to order everything at the bar, if you've never been there you might wait a while. There are phrases regarding kings written on the the ceiling. Flags from many countries, but I didn't see the Mexican one... Other than that, it was a good experience.
A. W.Really enjoyable food, friendly service but felt slightly understaffed with only 2 on the floor for the majority of our stay. Our main course came fast and was delicious but we agreed could do with a minute or two longer just so it's a bit warmer.
Dessert was lovely as you can see in the picture but took ages to arrive which is the main factor behind a 4 star rating over 5.
You'll enjoy your meal here alot and it's a lovely atmosphere and restaurant itself but might have a slight wait if your unlucky

S. B.We are regular visitors here and is our go to place for a nice drink and good pub grub. There is plenty of seating inside a some outside if it's a nice day. The app makes ordering easy now too.
W. R.It's a pretty good, large pub and the best place in town to watch anything sports related. Loads of TVs, plenty of seating and evening some 'private' booths with their own TV. Good staff too . Will definitely be back here for the 6 Nations.
T. 2.Went in on a Friday lunchtime to grab a bite to eat with the family and can safely say the service was quick in getting out our drinks and also with delivering our food. We had two toasties and a chicken wrap. All was cooked perfectly, not a single fault. Definitely will be back for more of the Rump Steak toasties.
I. R.Went to 7 Kings with a large family group of 20+. We sent our menu choices in advance as advised by the manager. On the day the service was smooth and the staff were very polite the food was well cooked, hot and looked delicious. Everyone in our group, including the 4 children were happy.
A bonus is there is parking just outside at the back of the venue.
j. m.Quite noisy due to footy being on but got a bit quieter after the game finished. Food was good and didnt have to wait too long at the bar to get served. Staff were friendly and helpful.

B.Nice witherspoon-esque place but prices are a bit high and the owners REALLY REALLY need to put the heating up a little bit you shouldn't have to sit with coats on like most people were in a pub... the drinks prices have went up to help you with heating bills etc not to profiteer from. Also not much atmosphere the last few times we've been in, except for the occasional annoying roar for a goal on the hateful football game being showed.

f.After a walk round the glen with our dog we fancied something to eat and the staff at the 7 kings could not have been more accommodating, thrilled we were able to have our dog with us while we had something to eat! One of the staff members I believe called Connor/conna was so nice to our dog bringing him over a water bowl and some treats! Very attentive and well looked after, will definitely be back! 🐶

The food on the whole was pretty good. But one of our party had a steak and asked for it medium and it came well done. Also, not a lot of accompaniments with the steak. Only 2 onion rings which were pretty small in size.

The fans were watching the football on the TV, and they were rather merry and exceptionally noisy, which did affect our experience, but that wasn't any fault of the Seven Kings, whose staff couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. My friend and I are gluten free, and we were brought a special menu with free from options. Food was fine, and the bill was extremely reasonable. Would definitely go again - but perhaps not on a busy football day!

Overall, it's our go-to place when visiting Dunfermline.
g.One of the better pubs in the town, with a fairly typical selection of drinks and decent menu. Might have earned an extra star, but if you sit through the bank you will be treated to the frequent sound of the gents door slamming shut and disrupting any conversation, as the closing mechanism has been broken for months (has been mentioned to staff).

On the plus side nice pub, good real ale.
Even though I don't smoke, probably has the best smoking area in town !
Not eaten in here for over a year, was ok, but that's it.
The exception on the staff front is the waitresses, who do a great efficient job.

C. F.Wonderful place to have a family meal. Despite there being TV's with sports on it, it's not your usual "sports bar". It's family friendly and the food is spectacular. I photographed the plates of food before and after, completely empty, says it all.
The staff are very friendly and not scarce in numbers. Easily identifiable and happy to help. I've never experienced a huge wait at the bar for a drink, even on a Saturday, early afternoon. The food service isn't the fastest at peek times. However, I'd expect a minimal wait of 40 mins after order taken. Considering how busy the place was, the time past quickly and I don't think we waited that long. There were seven of us and our food was brought to the table with good timing so we could eat together. After finishing the meal I could see why so many people were happy to wait a little for the food. It's often busy, therefore popular.
There are several types of seating, booths, tables with chairs, bar stools, high tables to stand at and more. I think this attracts a wider variety of customers. It accommodates a broader range of customers age range, I saw families with small children all the way to the elderly, on their own or with a few friends. There also included a few groups of people in their (20's?) socialising and appearing to be enjoying themselves.
There is outdoor seating at the front and back of Seven kings. The front is a great sun trap, on the corner. The outdoor seating at the back is much smaller in size and doesn't get the sun, it's a sheltered veranda. On a hot day it's rather nice to sit out there after a meal and cool off with the metal seating. It's a smoking area with ashtrays provided. I can't say for certain if the front outdoor seating is smoker friendly, there's far more seating for people eating out the front.
In my opinion Seven kings isn't pricey, or inexpensive, mid range, depending on your budget? Also depending on what you order, I'd say it's certainly good value for money, considering the portion sizes. Even the children's menu has generous portions, probably suit some adults?
Seven kings has an excellent service. The food was delicious, hot, worth the wait and I'd certainly recommend. I have returned myself. Clean and tidy premises. They cater for a wide range of customers. Even suitable for children, aged 5! Which I wouldn't have expected.
There is disabled access and also disabled toilet facilities. There are high chairs available. There are steps into the premises via the bank entrance, although I doubt many people enter that way as ther front entrance is on the main street. From what I gather most people using the small verandah at the back to pop out to get a cigarette. There are probably only 3 or 4 tables out the back. I've not saw anyone eat out there, that's not to say you can't though.
You can go eat or enjoy a coffee, drink, pint and sit outside or inside and watch sports or catch up with friends/ family.
There's Pittencrieff park right by, if you fancy a stretch of your legs after a meal in Seven kings, it's a great place to take a walk to. There is also more than one play park in Pittencrieff, age appropriate if there's children. However, the park has big grassy fields, so you can be far from the parks and get peace sitting on a bench.

The "seven kings" are the Scottish kings who sat in Dunfermline when it was Scotland's capital in ancient times.
Attractively laid-out with many booths & side areas, the bar has many TVs and shows football, golf & other sporting events.
There is an attractive and reasonably-priced menu of snacks & meals.
There is a wide range of beers, ales, wines & spirits.
The staff are attentive and friendly.
Extensive pay-and-display parking (daytime - free in the evening) to the rear. No on-street parking nearby. The front of the pub is on a one-way street.
Opposite The Glen, a large park endowed by Andrew Carnegie.
Very convenient for many shops, restaurants, clubs and pubs.
A short walk from Dunfermline Bus Station.
P. L.Good atmosphere, good beer, good food and right in city centre. Just been for lunch, new management. New broom sweeps clean. Fully decorated. And the menu is just as good.

The Seven Kings is spacious and fairly well laid out.
It was quiet on the day I was there, but still busy enough that there was a decent atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and quick to see to our orders, and from what I saw of others customers too, they were very helpful if anyone had any questions or needed help.
The food was really well cooked (we had burgers), with good flavour. My only criticism, if you can call it that, is that you get a LOT of food! I couldn't finish my meal, just because there was so much of it. It was a shame to waste some of the burger, but I honestly couldnt finish it!
The only reason I didnt give the place 5 stars is that it was my first visit in ages. If they are ALWAYS at that standard, then they definitely get a 5.

L. T.Visiting Dunfermline for grandson's Basketball Scotland training when we went to Seven Kings (didn't know it was Children's Festival celebration, so very busy). The food is well-cooked bar food but most impressive were the efficient, friendly and very kind staff who responded excellently to my personal requirements. The owners, however, should invest in more staff because they were run off their feet - well-done bar & kitchen staff👏😁
