S. S.Warm and welcoming staff in a lovely little pub with a homely feeling. Prices are fair, portions are a nice size and everything served in a timely manner. Cheesecake especially was delicious!

A. H.Can't fault The Rose Tree at all. Love the new look and the new menu. Chose the Mediterranean chicken parmesan with chips and salad. Didn't go with a starter as I didn't know how big the portions would be and I'm so glad I made that choice! The chicken was beautiful and had just the right amount of topping, the chips were homemade and absolutely amazing. The service was pleasant and professional and after going here with friends can't wait to take the hubby!

L. A.First time I called in after a walk I ordered the garlic mushrooms on ciabatt bread which was supposed to be served with salad. There were lots of mushrooms in a lovely sauce but just a leaf of rocket. Second time I ate there I was given the chicken curry when I had ordered the veggie option. This weekend I ordered the garlic mushrooms again but this time there were only about 3 mushrooms chopped up and hardly any sauce, in fact no sauce really. Come on Rose Tree , you serve good food , keep it consistent please
D. H.Small traditional pub, restaurant. Good choice of meat for Sunday lunch. Service was a bit slow. Waited a while for drinks then food arrived after about half an hour.
Meat was nicely cooked as were vegetables, but mash potato wasnt very hot.
C. P.Very nice pub on the outskirts of Durham City. My last trip there was20 years ago, and like then, this visit didn't disappoint. Good home cooked food, and very helpful waiting staff. My 89 uear old mother thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Thankyou.
