It's a pub and a restaurant and probably one of the best places to grab lunch with friends as they have a well built menu with a variety of tastes. They serve it with great quality and most of the time with a smile. It's not too expensive and the food is really great. Just don't forget to ask for your favorite level of meat as they do turn to overcook by default.

We had a great time here yesterday! The food was delicious, and great value for money! The lovely waitress Sarah was very accommodating, polite and helpful. She recommended the Butchers Cuts Board, and we got a lobster as an add-on. We shared this dish between the two of us, but it can easily be shared between 3-4 people. Would recommend 100%, we'll definitely be coming back!

We went for Sunday lunch and loved it. I had a very hearty braised beef dinner. Huge Yorkshire pub. Ate the lot!!! Too nice to leave any. Veg cooked perfectly and the carrots actually tasted off carrots! Nothing drenched in butter which we usually get in other restaurants as hubby hates butter. The gravy was lush, thick and tasty. The hubby had the pork, daughter had the chicken which was a whole breast and not just a couple of slices as a our friend had the gammon and it was all devine. Sorry didn't take any pics this time.

Environment was great, fast service and lovely people. They did not have a vegetarian option for sunday roast and the waitresses very kindly went to talk to the chef and arranged something. Food was lovely. Worth coming back.

Average. Lacked halloumi on a Saturday afternoon, one of us was not a meat eater so ordered something else only to be told they didn't have that either (no mozzarella so were offered brie instead). Worrying for a restaurant on the afternoon of probably their busiest night of the week. Seats were comfy but definitely not enough space behind the seats to sit comfortably let alone get in and out. Fairly expensive for what it was. We're expecting something well above par and we possibly got slightly above par. I would go back and I would give them another chance. Closing thought, is it a pub or a restaurant?

This is a mixed review that I really didn't want to write. We were there on GCSE results day to celebrate our boy's exam success. We had a really tasty meal - three excellent steaks that were cooked exactly to what we ordered. At £30 for two rumps plus a cheeseboard to share, it was also excellent value. My son's sirloin was equally beautifully cooked. We also loved the decor and the general ambience of the place. So this really should be a nailed on 5* review. The only reason it isn't is simple. The waiting staff weren't on the ball. They delivered the mains but didn't call back to check if all was ok. We tried to get their attention but failed as they were all around the till and looking the wrong way. So my wife went to the till and informed them that the green veg we ordered hadn't arrived. We had a bottle of Merlot and a coke, but also wanted some water for the table. Again, we failed to catch anyone's attention so had to call to the counter. I've worked in pubs and restaurants - the young lad who was working that night was trying his very best, but he was carrying the others to be honest. Would we go again? Of course because the food was excellent and also excellent value on Special's night. However, I don't know who was in charge that night, but they weren't keeping the staff focussed. Sorry.

Absolutely top notch open steak sandwich for lunch. Food was exceptionally good. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Need Moretti instead of the cheap high margin Madri but at least they had Staropramen as an alternative option.

Beautiful place and beautiful food! Would of given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the manager/ supervisors attitude as soon as we walked in the door. We were greeted with eyes looking us and down (not even a smile), then the look we got when we said we didn’t want to look at the wine menu (we both don’t drink wine) was not very friendly (was very intimidating having her at the front) . The other members of staff were fantastic along with the food. The interior is very modern and romantic, and I loved the set up of the restaurant. Would definitely go back just hoping that particular member of staff won’t be on shift. But thank you for a beautiful steak!

Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch today. Loved the way the meal comes plated - no passing around dishes of veggies. All cooked perfectly. Great choice of good wines. Carafe of water brought to table. Busy vibrant restaurant. Waiting staff pleasant and attentive. We will certainly come back.

Absolutely delicious! After hearing amazing things from friends, we enjoyed lunch today for the first time at Stirks. The venue is gorgeous, food was lovely and the service was excellent too - we took our 10 day old baby daughter with us. I think our waiter was called Luke and he made our experience very enjoyable.

Had booked a table for this pub, which is a must, but wondered if we could just go in for a drink before our allotted time. We turned up to find a queue outside waiting to get in. There is a separate side for drinks, we found, and sat and had a nice couple of drinks before our meal which were served by very happy engaging staff. We had our pizzas, the menu is alot more extensive, which were very good indeed. An excellent place for food, drink and great service. Only a four star because we want to go back and try something new from their menu.

A lovely pub to chill and relax in, the staff are really attentive and fitted us in twice without a reservation. The young lady looking after me and my partner last night was really helpful and chatty. The food is great, we had pizza dishes and the pasta dishes which were really tasty. First time visiting. We didn't book for Sunday lunch as we had our pup with us. While driving into the carpark a member of the bar staff said dogs were welcome in the beer garden so we went there. There was no one around while my OH had to park elsewhere as it was full. I waited and tried phoning the restaurant twice but no answer. I went to the bar and ordered. There was about 30 mins wait but the beef and vegetables were beautifully cooked. The young lady on the bar brought our dog a water bowl and made us feel welcome. Recommend you book!

I stopped in for a cold drink on a hot day in May 2018 The interior is well laid out, clean and the staff were welcoming although the massive TV with Sky Sports News on it seems out of place. Asked for a pint of diet coke, was given a coke glass no where near a pint size (£2.30). Sat in the beer garden which catches the sun nicely in the afternoon and has some nice furniture. Sadly it is a bit of a mess (hundreds of cigarette butts, broken glass and litter).
