It was sooo a lovely place and a great Sunday roast restaurant. Duke of Wellington is very close to Ustinov College, so many students of Durham could enjoy this place. The price of the course was excellent. The amount of food and taste of food and dessert was super nice. But I was sit next the column and that table was so uncomfortable. It was too small to move my body, and because of the column, waiters and waitresses couldn't see me, so I couldn't order the menu easily even though I booked previously. Except for the table, it was outstanding in many aspects.

It was slightly stuffy (hot night no breeze!!) but I was massively stuffed and finished the wine outside - glorious steaks, golden chips and delicious vegetables and only a short walk!!

One of the few places that I trust to ALWAYS have both great food and even better service. Always clean, always welcoming and honestly always super tasty. Latest visit I went out my comfort zone and went for a burger and so did my other half, we chose the Ultimate burger and the Cow & Chick burger and both were excellent. Will definitely have again!

Standard pub chain menu, but lots of vegan and other healthy options. Had many meals here and all have been well cooked. Staff are extremely friendly and good real ales.

One of the main courses served was not what we had asked for. Even though the kitchen had closed ( it was past 9 pm), the kitchen staff were kind enough to make the dish my friend had asked for so that she did not have to remain hungry. This gesture was highly appreciated.

The food is delicious, fantastic choice of menu and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Been here several times and will continue to do so.

On Sunday we went for brunch before going to Newcastle. We arrived in need of tea and coffee as we were half asleep still. By the end of the brunch we were awake alert and happy. The people the staff Diane our waitress was so kind it really set the day off wonderfully. Thankyou we will visit again.

Meals here are amazing, staff are brilliant, and the atmosphere is great. Only thing they could do to get an extra star is get food to us faster next time - and yes, there will definatly be a next time. Fantastic food.
