Reviews of The Water House - JD Wetherspoon
T. H.
Came here today very quite was served super quick! Good value like all spoons only gripe I had was the poppadoms was swimming in grease! Didn't touch them also the seats in the booth was so uncomfortable needs upgrading throughout highly recommended the newer weatherspoons in town
M. D.
The Waterhouse in Durham. It was my first time in the pub and I was well impressed with the atmosphere. I would recommend anyone who is out for a good night out in Durham to go their. I'm adding two photos to my review so you all can find the place.
J. S.
Had the gormet steak with chips and the other half had lasagne. Lovley meal. Deserts were delicious and the staff didn't mind when we asked to swap sauces on the deserts. £5.50 for 2 bottles of bulmers is a decent price too. Will most definitely be back.
S. C.
Relaxing haunt we twice enjoyed for lunch. Grabbed a booth down the steps away from the open area. A traditional pub decor with cheaply priced ale. Didn't have to wait too long for the food. Smaller options for lunch.
G. C. (.
Stopped in for a breakfast whilst on a short break. Easy walk to town, cathedral, castle etc.
Good breakfast selection and decent price. Usual Spoons selection of drinks.
Food was a little slow coming but waitress was very apologetic. Good quality food and well cooked.
Friendly staff.
J. R.
Getting a bit tired and could do with a decorate and new chair material but good selection of drinks at great prices. A local favourite amongst the over 30's but still a lot of younger folks. We like it
s. m.
If you can brave the less well off, and mentally challanged minds you will be rewarded by some amusing banter and drinks at a 3rd of the price of any other establishment, heaven help us no wonder JD Wetherspoon lost money last year.
P. M.
Good range of beers, food is great - burgers and pizzas recommended
b. m.
Nice place for a drink. Table service was quick and polite despite it being really busy.
Good prices too.
K. G.
Good menu and reasonable prices. The service is really good. I recommend the spicy feast pizza and wings.
J.
This place can get very busy, so tale sittings can get sparse. However, the food is excellent, though the menu is the same as every other Wetherspoons pub. We have been a few times now and had no issues with the food or the service.
Again if you're looking for some place quiet this is not the place, it's smack bang on North Road and is very busy what with there being no bus station at present.
Dont let the appearances of the outside of the place fool you, I was quite surprised on how big he place is.
P. T.
Very convenient to the bus terminus. Friendly staff. Lots of spaces for a quiet sit or small social meeting or gathering. Usual great Wetherspoons features.
M. C. C.
Lovely bar staff nice couple of pints. Lots of different cliental. I saw 2 guys go in to the toilet with wash bags and then straight out the door so they were just using the facilities
D. E.
As like all wetherspoons. Great value. Excellent beer and food. But no longer have bottles of heniz bbq sauce or Helmans mayonnaise. Now to get bbq sauce you have to pay an extra 60 pence. I believe you can still get this from other wetherspoons
N. R.
Good cheap comfy pub but needs music on a night, also some people get too wasted come afternoon, need to keep an eye on the front of house a bit more, someone sleeping against the bin was a bit weird but was a one off, been for meals during the day and was nice, kids portions could b a little bigger and the 2 for £10/12 is gone, breakfasts are cheap and cheerful tho, and still have curry/steak club lol
S. G.
A good place to have a nicely priced meal and a drink, we had different curries which were served fairly fast and were both good, the drinks were good too, the staff and regulars were friendly.
P. L.
Enjoyed a nice drink and bite to eat. Friendly staff. Thank you
S. C.
Had two meals here while visiting Durham and enjoyed both visits, you can't beat a wetherspoons for great value!
H. Q.
Food is wonderful... it’s a Wetherspoon after all
c. k.
Love it that you can order food and drinks while sitting at the table, however, salads are a bit expensive hardly anything on it,
K. S.
Drinks were decent but it was a Saturday evening so it was busy, staff try their best at these times, even better being able to order from the app.
K. G.
Amazing place! :) Delicious food, tasty beer, good mood! You can deliver food by app, when you are sitting at the table.
Very nice!
J. M.
Always busy very good value nice staff just needs a bit of a revamp
R. 1.
Another great Spoons but why, oh why are the staff so grumpy and rude? There are some stars here, don't get me wrong - Craig being one - but mostly there's no cheerful acknowledgement of you and too much chatting at the glasswashing station! The app doesn't help and often the bar is jammed with customers and no staff to be seen as they're off swanning about doing anything but what they should be doing! Customer service is paramount but most of this lot missed the training session! Come on Tim, I've visited Spoons from Cornwall to Edinburgh and this customer disinterest is endemic in too many of your bars!
R. O.
Bit smaller than normal Spoons, but still great for a meal and a drink
G. G.
Nice pint of Punk IPA after work!
S. G.
Good staff service. Used the app to order to our table and service was very fast and polite. Typical 'spoons fare, bit greasy but you don't go to a wetherspoons for fine dining do you? All in all really good.
E. H.
Good always to a decent standard whenever I come here. Never wait too long. My 10 year old son loves coming here, we've been coming together for 4/5 years &never had a bad meal yet. I absolutely love whetherspoons chips 🤣 they're so good. Nice big breakfast. Lovely yummy pizzas. My son loves the bolognese & choc brownie pudding
A. B.
Great food friendly staff. Lol as usual got lost looking for the toilets.
M. F.
Very nice surroundings and great prices a great place to meet up with friends on a day out.
S. D.
Brilliant time at the Water House, had BBQ ribs spot on,, 10/10, staff brill so friendly, went out of there way to make I enjoyable 😉been Today, brilliant staff..
C. G.
Food moderate not value for money real ale on electric so far to gassy
D. E.
Great food.. quick service... good value..
M. P.
As always great beer.As always there is always sonethibg not right with food.
In this case cold peas and fisg dry.
None alcholic drinks are robbery, more so if you ask for ice in them
D. K.
Top pub... such a shame Tim Martin has put it up for sale 😞
S. Y.
Staff are helpful and work hard, but the atmosphere is a really somber one. Great for if you want a quiet chat but not somewhere I'd go other than while waiting for a bus
t. h.
Food was great. Staff were polite and helpful. Pub was clean and well managed. Downside toilets were upstairs and could use a bit of a face lift.
I. S.
Staff are really overall decent people, pub needs a major refurbishment. One of the smallest outlets I have been in for a City Centre. Maybe should look for a more suitable location in Durham City. (Bishops Mill in Walkergate) May struggle for decent location elsewhere in City boundaries. As said lovely staff.
N. S.
Just called in for a pint while at Durham staff good place good nice pint 👍
m. k.
Not badly priced but could of done with extra staff as took about 20 minutes to get a pint when i walked in.
g. r.
Nice enough pub very busy at weekends
c. t.
It's a wetherspoons, cheap drinks and right next to the bid stands. Can't go wrong.
W. J.
Went for a quick pint and to hide from the lite rain. Only a small pub tbh..seating is the main problem due to its size.its long and narrow. The loos are up the stairs , which is common practice for a weathspoons / toilets are ALWAYS tucked awsy up or down many steps..The staff were very nice and drinks cheap enough..
L. H.
Good food polite and well mannered staff
A. W.
Well kept, fish and chips with a pint of Guinness great deal
K. F.
Staff so friendly food good I'm not local but people there made it chattie great all together
J. W.
Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful from replacing a spilt drink to table service ordering they made us feel welcome from the start of our visit til the end.....highly recommend if your visiting Durham it's cheap and cheerful but doesn't skimp on good customer service.
J. N.
Good place, although it was really busy the service was very quick, staff are polite and professional good choice of drinks and reasonably priced.
s. s.
Food better than expected with a large variety of choice, excellent value for money
J. D.
The staff are friendly and the service is fairly quick, but the portion size and the quality of the food on offer isn't great.
I feel if this was rectified this place would be a much better place to visit.
S. C.
Tis what it is...and that is a Spoons, clean & tidy, Tim may be a £₩@£ but his staff deserve our support boycotting his pubs will only cost those guys their jobs and the staff in Durham are wonderful. Don't see it as lining Tim's pockets see it as keeping decent people in jobs. End of lecture/rant.
m. w.
Nice pint nice place cheap prices friendly staff
D. M.
Excellent food and drink, all at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of choices and all very good.
R. H.
Not the best Wetherspoon in terms of the eating areas and atmosphere but the fish and chips was up to the expected standard and worth ordering. We preferred the other Wetherspoon in Durham, The Bishops Mill, but both are very popular.
R. R.
Nice pub good atmosphere welcoming
A. O.
Lovely breakfast, served very quickly.
M. B.
Great place for a drink and food at affordable prices
M. B.
Traditional Weather spoon, good quick service, food good.
T. M.
Nice place good venue and good pint.
J. M.
Good food, quick service, reasonably priced drinks, what's not to like!
J. C.
Staff always professional good customer service, working real well under government restrictions.
P. D.
Typical Wetherspoons, you know the drinks and food are going to be good and reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Can get overcrowded at times.
D. R.
Brill pub, cheap drinks, great service
D. b.
Busy when I went, but easy to get drinks and seat eventually. Not much of an atmosphere. But depends whom your with I suppose.
S. l.
Great place for a quick bite to eat anytime of the day. Very reasonably priced and with great staff.
D. M.
Nice atmosphere, fair price. The service, however, a bit disappointing
S. K.
Great food and nice waiters
d. w.
In need of a make-over but good atmosphere.
k. n.
Went in here for our tea the menu suited all budgets. We had chicken burger fries and a bottle wine that soon turned into 2 bottles wine!!! ,as we were content sat there. There was no music, but thats great while your sat eating and talking. Sometimes its nice to go in a pub where you can have a lovely drink and a chat!
Great place!
D. W.
Very friendly, social atmosphere. Toilets needed sort out. Apart enjoyed.
M. H.
Great pub good food and a good selection of beers at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.
D. R.
Great food good customer service
d. p.
Great service and honest prices, nice pub food as well.
A. P.
Good price for 2 pichers £10
A. P.
Your standard pub food. They have great weekly specials like curry night on Wednesday and steak Tuesday. They always have drinks deals on as well. Ordered a steak and eggs the other day and they forgot the eggs. Explained the situation to the manager and he quickly was on top of it and the eggs arrived 2 mins later. Good service and friendly staff.
L. P.
A nice quiet place. Great staff, lovely breakfast I had there and will definitely come here again.
J. G.
Was busy Wednesday teatime. Drinks reasonably priced. Lovely hot chocolate.
D. C.
Breakfast spot on.
Meal last night good.
Staff good
Very busy Saturday, not as bad since.
J. K.
Lovely pint of Guinness in hete
R. M.
Cheap drinks, cheap food. What more could you want. Better than some places that charge nearly double.
J. H.
Spent a great evening with family. Reasonable prices and helpful staff
j. g.
Great little boozer with great ales etc and great food , well worth a visit.
j. S.
Service was a bit slow using app but overall food great, and social distance adhered too.
R. H.
What more can you say...easily the best value for food and drinks. A great place to meet friends and no loud music so you can actually talk to each other.
T. S.
Very good , excellent food and great service
J. K.
Quality, friendly place with a lovely outside area sort of overlooking river. Good price food & drink
T.

D. B.

J. A.
We all loved what we got 3 kids meals scampi, sausage, chicken nuggets and I had the pub menu chilli worth every penny 😋
Z.
A good place for a cheap meal and drink, can't really expect much else from a Wetherspoons
X. G.
Amazing food, extremly fresh, prices are reasonable, would defiantly go there again
L. D. C.
Staff welcomed you at the door, explained about how they were operating. Hand gel and table service available. Food was quick vfm and tasted fresh. The pub is spacious, clean and good decor. Good to be back..
A. W.
Excellent value for money, efficient and friendly staff, just wish werherspoons staff, not just here but in all branches would wipe down tables, a sticky dirty table is a regular thing in most if the 'spoons' I've been in, luckily usually have wet wipes I can clean table with
H. B.
Always a good one. Much smaller than the bishops mill (which is about 10 minutes away) but it doesn't have those silly club nights so its much quieter. It does attract a lot more locals but you shouldn't go anywhere in Durham with the intent on avoiding them seeing as they you know, live here.
J. B.
Nice place, resable prices and lovely helpful staff
M. K.
Lovely food good prices lovely clean place
C. J.
Welcoming and helpful with great value food, well prepared and delicious.
E. C.

D. B.
Delicious food and quick service
T. T.
Lovely staff, a bit grubby , well cooked
J. H.
Just love wetherspoons, good range of beers and the food is value for money and tasty.
C. N.
The fridge for bottled beers is still not working which was the same 2 weeks ago.. and they still try to sell warm beers !!! Redicoulous!! The fridge is now empty so cold bottled beers again :) but are weather spoons that skint they can't afford a replacement ? .. :/ come on Tim get your venues up to scratch!!! - upgraded to 4* from 3*
m. l.
I have not given the Waterhouse 5 stars as the staff and management are having to cope with the restrictions imposed by the local lockdown and the national limitations imposed by the government...however, it is being well run and supervised.
All credit to the staff who are coping well under difficult circumstances.
D. H.
Food really nice & super value
A. P.
Nice place to have a drink, good atmosphere
D. D.
App saying some meals are out of stock but people ordering the out of stock items with the staff no problems
C. S.
Hard to park nearby. Food very good. Staff very helpful and friendly.
C. S.
Very nice food, staff were really friendly and it's cheap too!
I. L.
Me my wife and two friends went for a drink and something to eat last night. The food and drink were spot on but that's not what I would like to review really. What made our visit so enjoyable was the staff who were all great but especially a lad called Ben . He made us so welcome explaining the menu and what specials we could have. I do hope wetherspoons value his service as much as we do thank you very much again Ben.
F. M.
Food came quick plates taken quick good experiancr
d. p.
Good food and drink at affordable prices
M. J.
Boose very cheap, had a great night. Place was full but no trouble.
j. o.
Good food friendly staff
H. h.
Busy Saturday evening, place was mobbed. Downloaded the App, ordered food and drink, came within minutes... All good. Impressed with the service. Just a shame we got shifted politely from our seats at 19.45 to make way for dance floor lol.
B. S.
Standard weatherspoons good prices standard cleanliness bar staff are nice however. The unfortunate fact is when I came, there were not enough serving for breakfast time and the bar staff operated go down the bar method of serving rather that keeping track of who was there first. Food was good, however when the breakfast arrived most of the items weere luke warm, drinks were fine. I can imagine as it is quite small it would get full quickly.
C. F.
Had another very good steak with a glass of Merlot. Food unbeatable value, efficient and friendly service, handily placed in town. Covered in scaffolding at the moment so you could easily miss it if not careful and that would be a pity!
D. L. R.
Really enjoyed our meal would definitely go back
P. W.
Late Saturday night the place was a dirty mess
S. L.
My muffin was fabulous and my coffee was superb. The staff were so friendly too!!
M. Y.

D. L.
Lovely young lass serving the food.Foods spot on!Lovely and very good value!!
J. S.
Food was below average and no action taken be staff when a complaint was made!
T. G.
It's a Wetherspoons. You knew what to expect. Although I hadn't expected them to have run out of food.
C. M.
Great little place to start a day out in Durham, especially if your an ale drinker as they offer a great range of beers at what is in Durham an absolute bargain for a pint. As with all weatherspoons they offer a fantastic selection of food and drinks at a price the bank balance loves. Another tick in the box for Tim Martin and his team
R. C.
Usual good value Wetherspoon, love the app quick service
L. S.
A good Wetherspoons pub. Decent range of beers, food is reasonably priced and tasty and the staff are friendly. There are tables at the front and booths at the back and the place has a nice atmosphere.
J. R.
Cheap drinks and a good vibe!
J. L.
Lovely food. Helpful staff
n. k.
Always good in a weatherspoons and they do the best pizzas anywhere. Fact
D. W.
Ideal place to eat and drink in this town
v. l.
Awesome breakfast. Nice, tidy and clean pub. Recommend
D. C.
The beers are cheap and it's easy to get served, it's a good place to start a night out
P. B.
Exactly what you want from spoons, plenty on the menu and good atmosphere.
A.
The food was okay and it came quickly
E. B.
Very quiet first time ever have I seen it so quiet all because of covid very sad to see
C. B.
Clean and tidy friendly staff and food was nice for a quick bite to eat
C. W.
Fantastic staff, adorable, can beat a the burgers deals
L. G.
Draughts were off. Barmaid was useless. Asked for rhubarb gin with ginger ale, & "Just a couple of ice cubes", & a pint of Magners. She poured the gin & tried to add lemonade. Stopped her & while she went to get the ginger ale she filled the gin glass with ice. She then said there was no ginger ale. So I had it, I was going to say neat, but very watered down (even though I'd emptied half the ice out). She took the money for both drinks, then served 2 other people, before I had to tell her colleague we were still awaiting the pint. "Have you got everything?" she asked! Finally she brought it. No apology though. We didn't stay for a second drink.
T. C.
Cheap enough to go to.....but food is often just warm....
l. a. s.
We visited new years eve and found it had plenty of room, pleasant staff, good prices, would go again!
E. B.
Always know what your getting although the bacon is iridescent
E. S.
Cheap beer..food simple cheap but nice. Service very good. Occasionally you'll bump into a few drinks but never no issues.
K. J.
Staff friendly, food is lovely definitely go back again.
n. d.
Typically a weatherspoons, but very well run in these strange times. Service very friendly
A. W.
Great service. Lots of seats. Pretty rowdy lots of stags and hen parties. App works great. Good was good for price. Salad was a bit limp.
D. G.
Usual spoons with a good selection of ales and the standard menu and offers. Situated opposite the bus station it is a common starting point for a night out. Staff pleasant and helpful, worth popping in.
B. J.
Typical Wetherspoons, cheap beer kept well good atmosphere, staff attentive.
P. A. m.
Great place to meet people and cheap place to drink
H. P.
I had a "Lentil Roast" there - made with lentils, spinach, mushroom, red pepper, and carrots. It was the greatest thing I've ever tasted. I cannot find anything close in the U.S and have been trying to recreate the recipe ever since! The people there were so nice. The chef actually ran out and told me the dressing I ordered wasnt vegetarian, and they refused to take any tips, even though I tried to leave a huge tip for the great service! (i'll never understand tipping over in the UK..)
R. C.
Found it hard to sign in for T &T , due to QR codes. missing, but otherwise a very pleasant visit .
J. M.
Good choice of real ale and reasonable prices we'll worth a visit
O. C.
Typical Wetherspoons pub. Comfortable and good food on offer at a reasonable price. Good beer price. It can get crowded at times.
T. R.
Nice Pint, Typical Spoons.
K. M.
On this visit the staff where more interested in chatting between them selves than serving customers. The pub itself is great, fantastic choice of drinks and good food.
S. D.
Good food great service
S. G.
Good table service using the app. Really nice breakfast and quick.
S. C.
Lovely, typical whetherspoons
P. R.
Great value, .99p pint deals on at the minute.
s. e.
Very good but very busy. Think door staff delt with the very drunk Young lady, who laughingly insisted a near 58 year old bloke needed to show I.d. very well and with dignity, bless her.
J. D.
Very quiet by normal standards. Half price food welcome.
P.
Was fine bit too many stairs for me

a. w.
Perfectly cooked steak
j. m.
Very nice pub
Only fault is smoking area is the last area to get afternoon sun
l. g.
Nice pub, nowhere near enough seating though. Went in on separate times on Saturday and couldn't sit down at all. Toilets could be better looked after too
B. M.
Typical wetherspoons.
Can be a bit hard to get served when busy as Bar area is crowded.
Prices slightly more expensive than others I have been to.
R. J.
When we sat down at a table for a meal there was a dirty cloth obviously been used to wipe the table left on the table they brought knife and forks didn't take it away then brought our meals out and still left it .sorry not good enough Witherspoon's . Food was ok though .
D. R.
Cheap drinks, decent food. It's a wetherspoons, no more no less.
A. E.
Great spoons in heart of Durham .

T. B.

D. C.
Spoons really... The staff are super friendly compared the one in my town
D. J.
Lovely staff decent grub
R. P.
Decent pub but the toilets are a bit of an ordeal. Not the staffs fault. The clientele don't understand the concept of flushing. Not a one off either.
R. P.
All ways a good place for a breakfast.
M. S.
It's a Wetherspoons so you know what to expect: decent food and good beer for great prices. Nice and quiet, especially compared to the other Wetherspoons in Durham...
G. B.
Busy student pub , great if you are a certain age 😉
D. C.
Nice place. Great value.
M. S.
Nice bar always busy.
C. G.
An absolutely wonderful little pub. Brilliant manager, lovely staff, and great food and drinks. Would definitely recommend.
J. D.
All right bit dark nice staff
E. B.
We didn't stop long as we had alot to be doing. Lower score more die.to the crowd brought in than the establishment itself. Knocked the experience.for us
J. G.
A Weatherspoons in which it's nearly impossible to get a seat just about all of the time regardless of how busy it is. An awkward layout results in two ways to reach the ladies and gents restrooms. This place is a multi level double storey labyrinth. On the plus side it has an open fire and it's close to the main bus stop and taxi rank so commuting to and from this place when your plastered and clearly can't drive is easy.

I ordered food at the bar and were served at the table within 15 minutes, despite the place being very busy. Service was excellent and food hot and decent.
P. O.
Weatherspoons, what more to say! Standard fair, good selection of beer at cheap prices. Beans were cold on breakfast
I. F.
Typical weatherspoons pub with cheap beer and food. Love the outlay. You walk into to the middle level and there are upper and lower levels. Free WiFi and USB charging ports.
M. H.

Always use Weatherspoon pubs to eat. Very reasonable prices and nice ambulance.
F. S.
Decent Wetherspoon pub. Pleasant staff, good selection of real ales (and other alcohol), and decent food. Sometimes oppressively busy on Saturdays.
R. E.
Great place, affordable prices.
k. N.
Went out tonight on "super Saturday" the staff couldn't have been better. Courteous bouncers and attentive bar staff. To be fair it was really quiet but the staff were on the ball and very mindful of the covid protocol. Well played to all the staff in weatherspoons tonight, especially given the press about Mike Ashley and his employment rights.
B. B.
This place has improved over the years. I had a good brunch and an excellent pint.
S. J.
A nice Wetherspoons with good food and a pleasant atmosphere.
C. H.
Better than the faker at the bottom of the street.....could maybe do with a makeover as its looking a little dull. On the whole, it's a Wetherspoon pub, so decent food & drink and friendly staff. 👍
P. D.

Traditional British boozer Good and cheap beer and lots of old fashioned rules like no music no TV and no swearing
R. C.
Excellent customer service and very comfortable atmosphere. Yummy (and affordable) food too!!
J. C.
Nice food but the pub itself needs a bit of an update. Seats were ripped and torn needs a good refurbish..
S. S.
Its ok, no music though, let's it down for me on that score but reasonably priced drinks and food.
P. B.
Prompt service food was hot
A. W.
Bit on the small side but cosy and friendly.
Y. F.
Durham Water House. Friendly staff. Good selection of drinks and food was good. The only negative was the location of the air conditioning because it made a certain part of the pub really cold whilst it was working.
p. k.
Canny place just over the road from the bus station which is the ideal meeting point.
Good food service and staff.

Called in here for some lunch while visiting Durham, food and drink very good, A lot of older men and women in to boozing beware of the bad swearing which can be very loud.
D. A.
Lovely place and very reasonable prices
M. W.
OK but only 1mushroom and no black pudding unless you paid extra
M. D.
Ok for an average wetherspoons. Food was not very warm service was slow and atmosphere a bit dull but ok
B. W.
A nice pub and cheap
R. O.
Polite staff and always feel welcomed by them. Food and drink good for its chain of pubs. Marking it as 3 stars due to the situation it has with something it sadly cannot control....the locals. Frequently by 8pm it is congested by drunks that behave in prehistoric manners which is all they have in terms of manners. With it being on a dirty high street next to a major bus station, it attracts homeless bums that come in with the days 'earnings' stinking of cannabis and being general morons. Shame as the staff really are a merit to what could be a really good pub.
M. A.
It's becoming a familiar haunt for me as there are some quiet spaces to sit with a drink or, of course, that great price Weatherspoon's food and drink.
J. H.

Good value busy pub with friendly staff. 50 yrs from the bus station.
J. R.
Respectable drinkers bar. I hit the venue on a Tuesday evening on a rare visit 'downstream' to the city from the Toon. Upon entry top drinkers were evident. No family related carnage here and nobody eating.
Soon enough, a party of students rocked up for their tea. All girls dressed to party. The grub looked great: mostly burgers, and it landed sharply on their slab. They demolished the lot.
I had to bail to my function soon after. Whilst Durham City ain't a place I hit much (a few times a year), for Wetherspoons action it doesn't fail to please.
L. W.
Cheap and cheerful but experienced strange smells around the bar
n.
Cheap beer, always seems to be filled with the older crowd during the day, can become quite busy
G. H.
It's a nice enough place - reasonable prices, but situated in a part of the city that is desperate for regeneration.
N. G.
Just another wetherspoons. Gets very busy at weekends with daytime drinkers - not somewhere to take small children.
R. L.
Nice Weatherspoons pub good beer and friendly staff
E. H.
It's your average chain pub, cheap drink and cheap food. Toilets aren't cleaned enough. And look is tired and aging.

E. M.
A friendly pub a good menu something for everyone
c. h.
Delivers what it says on the label! Spoiled by one of the most miserable bar staff person, currently at wetherspoons in Sutton coldfield Birmingham and I think the trend is catching! I work country wide and use wetherspoons regulary and find there is always a member of bar staff who would rather be some where else and has no time for being polite.
If you are not happy in your job then leave and stop piling you misery on the customer.
R. P.
To many people.Just hear for the cheep alcohol
T. R.
Wait for ages to get served at times, but good cheap food and drink.
