Great service. The bar staff are really friendly, even going out of their way to do us a shot that isn’t on the menu. A really nice selection of drinks here and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The Abode, in fact, is the best kept secret if you are looking for an afternoon coffee. If you're looking for a better coffee you had better pack your bags and get on a plane France or Italy because you will not find one on these islands. The owners take coffee very seriously, but that is only tempered by their wine selection. Their wine selection is only is at the mercy by which France, Spain, Italy, and other great places is willing to send them. They have an awesome selection of local beers. I can never settle on choosing which one--much to the annoyance of the staff! If you need that cheekie late night caffeine boost, forget that Jägerbomb nonesense, the Espresso Martini is what will set you right. Now, I am a simple man, and sometimes I just want a hot chocolate. Their hot choc will set you right if you have had that long day ...

I’d never been here despite living near by for years. Walked past it loads. First time here, loved it. Super nice staff, incredibly friendly. Good menu (orange wine and sangria! Very unusual). Everyone is lovely. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic! Such a warm greeting as soon as I walked through the door. Great wine list. The beers on draught as well as the bottled selection are all winners and the sharing boards hit the spot perfectly. The owners were so lovely that I will definitely be back! I was in Abode yesterday and it was just lovely! The atmosphere was so welcoming and the service was fab. I enjoyed a mulled wine in such a cosy corner of the bar and to top it off my doggy was welcome too!! Amazing place. Thank you!

This was a good place. Chilled atmosphere and at a central location down in Leith Walk. Very friendly stuff and also the place has a pet friendly policy. A good selection of beers and wines. The only thing this place was lacking was character. It was nothing special, but still a good place to go with your friends and relax.

One of the best bars in Leith, the cocktails taste incredible and the draught beers are great, comfy living room feel with the sofas and chairs. Great for groups if it's not too busy as you can pull some chairs over to another bit.

I love this bar. I'm often in Leith and just want a tea or hot chocolate in the evening. This is a very relaxed place that I feel comfortable in. They have stopped the tunnocks tea cakes 🤔 and replaced with biscuits, not so nice.

Lovely, atmospheric place in heart of Leith. I love Boda's bar staff, always smiling, always there for you with a nice story for a little chat. Wheelchair accessible. Clean. Large selection of drinks and snacks. With lovely small function room that you can hire for free. Also equipped with many board games 😉 I like to come here for a small drink in the middle of the week, when it's quiet and not that busy. Highly recommended!

One of the best pubs of Leith Walk. Boda Bar it's a specially a cozy place and the atmosphere is very relaxed. If you are a fan on swedish ciders, they have a really tasty cider brand. I completely recommend to visit the place an have a drink because you will get a very friendly stay.

I have recently found my way back to Boda. It has been a while, but I rekindled my love for the place. I have carved out some time on a weekly basis to find some peace, away from all the noise and some cosy 'me' time. I can say that I now (again) enjoy coming here. They have my absolute favourite Scottish Beer on tap; Black Isle Organic Blonde. I open a tab and make myself comfortable in one of the pillowed window seats (sometimes even take my shoes off), fire up my Kindle and enjoy some gaming, shopping and reading. Customers, regulars and staff are very friendly. Yes, Boda! You are back on my radar!

Picture a bar in your lounge and that's Boda. It has a relaxing, laid back atmosphere with comfy sofas and seats. Usually good music. No TV to kill the mood. Just a place to kick back with some drinks and chill.

Boda is a really charming bar, just situated off Leith Walk, or as my friend Alastair Cauchie puts it in the reviews below "home". There is a range of beers on tap both craft and more recognized, plus plenty of bottles of all your favorites. What I most like about Boda is the atmosphere and decor - shabby chic giving it the feeling of an eclectically designed living room rather than a bar. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. One of the best bars in Leith and amongst the best in Edinburgh. Visit!

Loved this new bar! Such a warm and friendly atmosphere and the owners really make you feel at home. And a really exciting wine list with a great variety of wines from all over the world, including Lebanon. Loved the Neropasso red from Italy, so rich, silky and smooth! Will definitely coming back!

I love Boda, it is really cosy. lovely hidden backroom that you can book out. I wish I went there more often, but usually hard to get a table when it gets busy, I usually end up at Victoria a short distance away as it is owned by the same folks.

I really love Boda. It's small and relaxed, like being in your nanas front room. The bar staff are friendly and helpful. It's dog friendly and there's usually a canine to befriend stretched out on the floor.

Every now and then, you come across a bar which makes you wish you lived in the vicinity just so you could visit more often... Boda Bar is one of those places. As Leith's first Swedish bar – there are now 4 by the same people – it's cosy, comfortable and serves up the best ciders, hot or cold. It's also one of the most welcoming bars you'll come across. Whether it's with the staff or the regulars, chances are you'll find yourself having a good old natter about something completely random. There's good social events too, from car boot sales (without the car boot) to wii games nights. I'd be there more often if I could!

Boda is somewhere to visit in the winter, when it's cold, wet and windy outside. You walk in and immediately feel the warmth and cosiness it radiates. Subdued lighting, mulled cider and a relaxed atmoshere definitely make it a must visit on Leith Walk.
