Reviews of Arcade Bar Haggis & Whisky House
C. C.
My new favorite! You have to try the haggis nachos they are the best nachos I've ever had in my life. They top it with nacho cheese, cottage cheese, haggis, fresh tomato & green vegetable! 🥰🔥 It tastes so so good! As a starter it made us feel so full and it's for two of us (🥰 not to complaining at all).
Then it comes to the main course💝, the house special haggis it's a must try. They top it with haggis then the bottom two layers are the seasonal vegetable and mashed potato, it came with this amazing whiskey sauce. Oh my god it's so good. Then you have to try the chicken haggis dish, I don't know how they did it.😯 So the outside layer is tender bacon I think Then in the middle part is the tenderest chicken ever😍, and the center part is the haggis next, they use mashed potato as the bottom layer and surrounding it with some white creamy sauce that has black pepper in it. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's the best food ever. We could barely finish the whole meal.🤣
I would definitely come back again as I think it's the best restaurant in Scotland!
Oh, don't forget about the hot port🔥🍷, one of its kind!

We decided to eat here because it is the only place to offer gluten free haggis and I wanted to taste one. But the 5 start are not only for that but also the food was really good (haggis and also sausages) and the waiter was also really helpful with the wishy choice that again was a first for us. The interior is lovely too.
A suggestion is to arrive early because there are few seats and the kitchen is not open until late.

They earn their 5 stars easily, first of all, their Haggis is something of a miracle. It's nice it's earthy, it's just the right amount of chewy to allow your tongue to savour it's depth and their whisky sauce is the dot on the I. Add to that a crew that is knowledgeable, friendly, let's you taste their favorite whisky and stands ready with a bit of warmth and a conversation, what more would the weary wanderer want? Or do f your just visiting and sticking to the city, go there they will welcome you to paradise.

I've been able to eat haggis at a few places now in Scotland, but finally today I was able to try the Arcade and it was by far the best haggis I've eaten in my life! The consistency was perfect, the flavors were very pronounce, and yet it was delicate and delicious without a single flaw! Did I mention that the take-away/take-out service was fast and easy? Oh definitely a win at the Arcade for your haggis fix!
P.
The haggis was much tastier than I expected food presentations were like gourmet platters. Also, traditional cranachan dessert was so delicious 😋 All staff were very friendly. You should visit this restaurant at least once in your life.

Called in in the hope they would have a table and we were glad they could accommodate us. My wife really enjoyed her chicken stuffed with haggis despite her aversion to haggis and I adored my Robbie Burns. We would return in a heartbeat. Great service great food and the whisky was passable too (tongue in cheek)
A.
Overall great service. The cheese table is worth having as an appetizer, as mains the lamb burger was great and pretty filling, and The haggis is the typical Scottish dish ( I wasn’t a fan of it but that’s more personal taste). They have a pretty comprehensive list of whiskies too.
M. O.
One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The food was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and the whisky collection is worth a look, as there's a few hidden gems.
A. O.
Brilliant experience with CJ. Very personable and knowledgeable guy.
Gave us the full whiskey experience and had some great ghost stories for us!
Would recommend if you want traditional Scottish food and whiskey.
S. M. Q.
I'm not a whisky drinker however I came here for the haggis, and tbh the excellent customer service and ambience. I opted for the lamb and haggis burger which I have to say was a perfect way to introduce me to this popular dish in a 'lighter' way as the traditional tatties dish could feed potentially two people! The pickled coleslaw as an accompaniment was perfect to cut through the rich meaty flavours and need I say the haggis was superb and brought back memories of when I lived in Scotland a good 25 years ago. The staff were just so lovely as well, very chatty and attentive. Thanks team Arcade bar!

Haggis and food was nice, haggis is serve in a different way and with a unique gravy. I could’ve rate 5 if the , waitress was not rude , first she was blocking the door while taking the order of the other group so we waited for a while outside the door. When we entered it, she did not say a word, so we ask her where can we sit, we wanted to be away from the other group because there’s plenty of seats to sit on but she insisted that we are only 2 so we need to sit there next to the group tho the table is so close to them less than half a meter. Clearly the other group also was looking at us because its pandemic.
We waited 10 mins and she’s still busy, i tried to understand because she’s alone but theres only 1 group of customers plus ha. Being so hungry I stood up and ask for the menu, we can’t even order at least . Her service is really terrible, it was my first time to try Haggis, was so excited to try it being the Top and Recommended restaurant, but all ruined because of the service even the food was nice.
Y. W.
I tried Haggis for the first time here and it is delicious!! I love the waiter and waitress here :) They are so energetic and warm and recommend nice whisky for my friends! Hope I have chance to go back and enjoy the service, meal, and wonderful whisky again 😀
C. M.
Best haggis in Edinburgh! Highly recommended coming here. Great selection of whiskey. Staff friendly. Massive plate of food for the price!
V. P.
Probably the best place we had food in Edinburgh!! And yes, definitely try the Haggis if you go there!!!
I would start applauding the staff that was extremely friendly and competent! We got some tips related to the whisky experience and the food in general!
My friend had the classing haggis with mash and I tried the lamb burger with haggis, everything was delicious!!
The atmosphere was very relaxing and nice, no rush with the table reservation and not too much noise around us so the dinner was very enjoyable!
If I would have more time to spend in the city, I would have definitely come back :)
J. K.
Extremely friendly staff and very accommodating the food is exceptional and the portions are huge so makes it worth the money the drinks list is vast and everything for everyone will definitely be back when back in Edinburgh.
J. A.
The best Haggis in town. Great choice of whisky. Nice and warm interior and friendly service
L. W.
I had the Vegan haggis and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the normal haggis with whiskey sauce - best we have ever had. Friendly staff and excellent choice of whiskies. Few more wine choices for ladies who don't drink whisky would be nice but would definitely return and highly recommend
C. F.
Wow. Absolutely beautiful... funky interior and delicious food. Waiter was a bit forgetful but he was new and friendly. Will definitely be back when I visit Edinburgh again
M. S.
Absolutely fantastic place to visit! I've tried my first haggis here and thanks to this place instantly it became one of my favourite dish! Do not hesitate to pop in!
E. C.

Edited in 2021:
We came back again for their Haggis during our latest trip to Edinburgh. I'm not usually a person who eats food made out from organs, but their Haggis was really delicious and we loved it. Amazing service again.
2019:
Very delicious food and tea. Amazing service.
L. T.
Amazing place, great hosts welcoming us as we opened the door. Lovely range of food, and of course fabulous Haggis!
G. S.
Very nice restaurant, if you're in Edinburgh and want to try Haggis and Whiskey I highly recommend you go to the Arcade Bar.
Y. S. T.
Very top-notched food quality! From starter to main course to dessert. Everything is amazing! Staff is very friendly and helpful too.
C. F.
Lovely experience
So much whisky to choose from
But come for the haggis. It was superb and a real treat
The haggis bonbons as well are excellent
Nice cosy atmosphere
Not too busy
Staff friendly and attentive
Gets 5 stars for me
J. S.
Haggis was one of the best iv had in Edinburgh and the whiskey sauce is beautiful. If you want haggis in Edinburgh this is the place to go.
C. F. S.
Awesome food not just the haggis but the fish and chips and the salmon was great
A. P.
The Arcade haggis was my first haggis experience about 3 years ago. I've tried many since and now I'm back and can say with confidence that it is hands down the best Haggis in Scotland. Grab yourself the option with the Whisky sauce, you won't regret it. I also had a great Hot Tody. Only downside to the dinner was the sticky date pudding. Was a bit too dry for my liking. Will still return every time I'm in Edinburgh for my dose of haggis!
s.
Loved the food and warm welcoming staff.
E. W.
Such a cute little bar that does a really good hot whiskey!!
They also do good nachos.
D. A.
Great selection of whisky. Great food.
K.
The Best haggis in Town. If you visit, you must try haggis bon bons with amazing whiskey marmolate! And Princess Diana Haggis!

Haggis was one of the best iv had in Edinburgh and the whiskey sauce is beautiful. If you want haggis in Edinburgh this is the place to go.
A. M. L.
Overall a nice experience, Haggis is too big, can be shared between 2 people.
R. B.
Haggis was great. Huge range of whisky - really great ones. And extremely helpful and kind waitress
f. W.
Traditional haggis in modern presentation very yummy
A. D. G.
First time trying haggis with friends and it was unreal! I had the princess diana haggis and my boyfriend had the haggis stuffed chicken both were beautiful. Definitely recommend !
K. H.
The best haggis in town by far. We tried a few places in Edinburgh a no other place came close to Arcade. Very tasty, very attentive and friendly staff, nice interior, good whiskey and cranachan. And haggis... AMAZING! Highly recommended.
They also have a Polish vodka bar upstairs with some nice selection :)
T. M.
One of the best haggis I’ve had in Edinburgh. Big portions and a large selection of whisky to choose from to go with your haggis. My son devoured the lamb and haggis burger. The space is small so reservations are highly recommended during festival season.
B. B.
Had a lovely haggis, tatties and neeps, with a great whisky sauce.
Great range of whiskies but marked down one point because a dram of whisky (with no water or mixer) is overly pricey, although I realise that is common to Edinburgh.
F. L.
Tried the classic haggis here, whiskey and a pint of Scottish Amber Ale. The food was absolutely delicious, totally recommended for those trying to find a well-made haggis!
R. H.
Love, love, loved this place. Atmosphere was perfect, service was fantastic and the food and drink were out if this world! Started off with a local cheese tray, I had tomato soup, hubby had haggis, we shared sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Every bite of the meal was delectable! Beer was cold, crisp and refreshing. Whiskey tasting was superb!
J. V.
The haggis on this place was very good! Completely unexpected, as I am not a fan of haggis. We shared a very nice cheese board too and had some cold ginger beers.
The staff is friendly and the place has a lot of ambient. Cool place to stop by for some drinks and starters.
A. M. L.
Overall a nice experience, Haggis is too big, can be shared between 2 people.
R. S.
Amazing haggis with the diana sauce but Male sure u dont order a starter you may regret it! Lovely place and great service and try one of the 200 whiskeys after
J. S.
I totally loved this place!!!! Haggis are not for everyone, but you should give it a try, it has a very particular taste but the whisky sauce is amazing! The presentation of the food is amazing, the whisky selection is second to none and the dessert was wowwww!!! Get adventurous and always dive into new things!! You will not regret! Got a window seat to be able to see people walk by and people always stopped to stared at the dishes it was a fantastic experience and the service was great too!!
D. B.
Amazing food. It is of exceptionally high quality. Super tasty though a little bit pricey. Absolute worth a visit ☺️
S. B.
This was my first try it haggis and it was very nice. Nice and peppery with delicious creamy mash. We paid a little extra to have the whisky sauce which was what really made the dish. Without it I imagine the dish would be quite dry. Recommended for any tourists.
R. B.
Haggis was great. Huge range of whisky - really great ones. And extremely helpful and kind waitress
A. C. C.
Really nice place. I'm very picky with food, but after trying the whisky (still not one of my favourite drinks) I gathered the courage to try the haggis bonbons. To be honest, I would have believed if I was told it was a "beef croquete", so it actually tasted good. The nachos were good too.
L. B.
So glad I stumbled off the royal mile and found this place. Beautiful inside, huuuge selection of whiskies at reasonable prices . Friendly staff. And the food is great! Haggis bon bons are a must, and the steak and ale pie was one of the best I've had. Top quality. Can't wait to come back again.
D. G.
I came here mid-afternoon to avoid the crowds as it gets very busy during dinner and lunch hours. They have a solid whisky selection and the haggis is delicious. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for haggis. The prices are all reasonable as well.
K. W.
Great food, and service. haggis is amazing, brekky best ive found in edinburgh, including the 5* waldorf (which is a bit motorway buffet), eaten lunch and brekky and would really recommend either and no doubt dinner is great too but haven't had it yet.
N. R.
Kind staff, good whiskey selection, cool decour, and good food. The advertise to have the best haggis. We had the haggis nachos which were tasty, but not mind blowing. Great tasting hot toddy. Overall great joint. Name is a bit misleading as there is no gaming arcade on site.
C. F.
We ordered Haggis and a cheese plate! LOVED the food and the restaurant is adorable! Service was wonderful!
D. L.
Best haggis place in Edinburgh. The location is just perfect. The seats are incredibly cool. That have local brews which are incredibly good. The haggis was definitely the best meal I had in the city, and Edinburgh offers some quite astonishing food. If you happen to be in town you HAVE to try this place
D. A.
Very nice place for haggis and a drink. Selection of alcoholes downstairs, upstairs HUGE selection of polish alcohols!
Haggis on the menu is fantastic, including vegetarian opton too. Staff is attentive and professional.
4 stars only because the wait was once a bit long
S. C.
We have been here several times and have always enjoyed what we had. As one would hope, their haggis does NOT disappoint. We've had both their haggis croquettes and their haggis neeps and tatties; both were magnificently savory and tasty (plus very rich and perfect for sharing).
The space is quirky, intimate, and comfortable and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
A. R.
They do not lie, seriously the Best haggis! Wonderful atmosphere, incredible food, I wanted everything on the menu! An absolute gem of a find with an amazing whisky list too.
S. B.
Wonderful place to eat and drink traditional Scottish food and drink with very friendly staff. And only 2 mins from the train station too. I really enjoyed the Robert Burns haggis stack and cranachan pudding!
C. H.
I was in the mood for some haggis and wanted to try somewhere different for a change, given I visit Edinburgh very regularly. After a quick flick through a few menus online, this place was chosen.
I've got to be honest, this place now holds my rating of best haggis in Edinburgh, a prestigious rating not beaten in about 5 years (and more converted then a Michelin star, lol).
I had haggis nachos to start which came with a pleasingly generous serving of haggis on them, followed by the haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky sauce. The haggis they serve is very moist and light - not at all stodgy like some places serve.
Too full to try a dessert at the end, but will definely return to try other menu items.
Service was good, although did feel slightly rushed between courses, maybe because they were quite busy and wanted the table. Very polite and attentive though.
Overall highly recommended.
M. M.
The best haggis and bacon we ever ate. The whisky sauce is perfect, as well as the generous cranachan. Good atmosphere. I warmly recommend !
W.
Great little place, good selection of whisky and good beers on tap from Caledonian brewery. I recommend having the haggis nachos, also ordered the Haggis goats cheese wrap which i didnt finish due to being full. Also have vegetarian options along with vegetarian haggis. Staff were all friendly. Very nice setting for a few quite drinks or out for a meal. Be aware tables with 5 or over get charged gratuity without option, so it can pretty pricey depending on your total bill for that visit.
M. P.
The best Haggis I had so far. Amazing food, presentation and service. This place is a must to visit!!!
s.
Loved the food and warm welcoming staff.
A. L.
Came here to try haggis for the first time as it was recommended by a friend. I had a beer for courage, but it turned out to be quite good! The dish itself was delicious. The whisky sauce was key.
B. L.
Exceptional haggis that is brilliantly served. The whisky sauce is devine to the tastes. Enjoy a dram with dessert or as dessert.
J. C.
One of the best fry ups I’ve ever had, and trust me, I’m a connoisseur. I turned veggie recently and broke it for this. Best decision ever made.
(The bacon looks underdone, but it wasn’t. Amazing taste
Get the whisky flight. It’s worth it.
A. C.
very tasty thank you! recomend for everybody.
t. l.
A lovely place, well worth a stop. Great staff, warm and welcoming, nice authentic atmosphere, on a beautiful street; has some amazing looking desserts. I had an excellent soup and the menu offers a a great selection of regionally inspired delights. I also had the vegetarian haggis, which was solidly good but not at the same level as Henderson's in New Town. But I would give it another try. There are a lot of other things I'd like to taste.
B. T.
Food & Drink: 8/10
Service: 8/10
Decor & atmosphere: 8/10
Service speed: 8/10
Cost: 9/10
The best: Haggis!!!!
The worst: Small place so you need to get in early. Not suited to large groups.
Lowdown: A must try if in Edinburgh. Came back twice for an evening meal and breakfast! A+
S. S.
Excellent food and very friendly and competent staff. They claim to serve the best Haggis in Edinburgh and they are absolutely right, but you should also try the Fish 'n Chips, the batter is excellent.
H. P.
OMG mind-blowing haggis!!! We came here twice during our stay in Edinburgh and we still talk about how amazing this place is. The table by the window with throne kind of chairs is the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of Scotch and discover the magic world of haggis with whiskey sauce, my new favourite thing in the world!
f. W.
Traditional haggis in modern presentation very yummy
i.
Went here because it has gluten free haggis. There is something in it that looks like barley but it hasn't sat in my system long enough for me to tell you if that's what it is yet. I had the traditional haggis stack and it was very good. I ordered a full pint like a dope so I couldn't finish my meal but I wanted to get some cranachan to go, which they obliged me. That was okay--the oats were burnt. However, the raspberry coulis and the whipped cream were ON POINT. In all, $40 meal for one main, one drink, and one dessert.
K. S.
One, if not the best, Old Fashioned Cocktail I’ve had and it will be pined over in the coming winter months. Haggis has decent and ample portions. Service friendly, atmosphere relaxed.
J. D.
The food was pretty good (delicious Haggis!) but I found the sides a bit bland. The staff is quite nice but a bit slow. The food took a while to be prepared. Restaurant itself is in quite central location and has a nice quirky interior.
a. L.
Accommodated us 19 mins before last orders. Absolutely fabulous place. Food was amazing, service very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. What a great find for our first night in Edinburgh.
E. W.
Such a cute little bar that does a really good hot whiskey!!
They also do good nachos.
N. -. K. a. C. T. B.
Such a cosy place with a great selection of Whisky :) Had a huge portion of haggis which was very yummy. Also very lovely staff.
T. M.
Beautiful place and very good food. We ate the hamburguer and Haggis balls, both were delicious. About the Scottish desert, I didn't like, there were a lot of Whipped cream and the fruit jam didn't look homemade. If you like Whipped Cream, you might like dessert. It didn't give me any good. The prices is ok, they charge 12.5% of service. The staff are friendly.
B. W.
Great food and great staff, can't ask for more! It's super cozy and welcoming and has an amazing tea selection. Loved it.
K. A.
Amazing place to get haggis and authentic Scottish cuisine. The manager is so welcoming and will chat with you and make jokes. Reasonable prices and great relaxing atmosphere.
h. c.
1st day in Edinburgh: Haggis and a whisky flight lunch. Definitely go for the Diana sauce version. Pricier than other places but worth it.
Ö. T.
tried haggis for the first time and loved it, great place if you love your whiskey too. lovely cocktails. bit on the pricey side but well worth it
A.
I go here every time I’m in Edinburgh, multiple times per trip. Best haggis in the city, hands down, and amazing whisky list. Great location and lunch view.
F. G.
Best hagies in Edinburgh lovely smily staff also starter was nice and tasty definitely visit again 5* my favourite place thank you ARCADE BAR :)
F. D. P.
The service was a bit slow, I believe they were having some issues. But staff was super friendly and the food top level. Highly recommended! It can really be the best haggis in town?! ;)
K. A.
Amazing service from the moment you step in to a place... Peter was very accommodating and his service was superb, he is a Great addition to an establishment 👍 Haggis balls with strawberry coulis was something outstanding and this is what I call a unique cousine if you looking for something different, Burger & Haggis was something to die for...so my best compliments are sent to a Chef... Sumptuous variety of delicious high quality flavoured Vodkas was great finishing of a dinner...
We'll be coming back again as we don't want to be disappointed elsewhere whilst in Edinburgh 😉
Can recommend this place with no doubts as it's the best restaurant with a delicious homemade food in Edinburgh. Absolutely delighted with our experience.
Well done Arcade!!!👍
M. M.
Lovely little place that we nearly walked by. Thank goodness we didn't, otherwise I would have missed the whiskey tasting and the nice lunch
P. E.
Best night of our stay!
The haggis and tatties was a winner....even the vegan haggis was a hit.
The service was fabulous...absolutely loved this place
D. S.
Stumbled across the "best haggis in town" sign and decided to give it a try. It was my only haggis ever so I couldn't say but, yeah, it was an excellent meal, I loved every bite. 14£ for the haggis with its mashed sweet potatoes and turnips and an excellent pesto sauce.
D. O.
Amazing range of whiskies, over 100 I think. Knowledgeable staff to recommend based on what you like. Even if you're not sure what you like, there are "tours of the regions" with a good example from each.
Didn't try the haggis, but the cheese board was excellent. Especially impressed with the Hebridean Blue.
A. R. M. G.
Lovely place, very friendly staff, and the food was superb! Haggis was fantastic. Also has a great whisky list with various choices, tried the Isle of Jura 18 years old and enjoyed every drop of that glass.
S. P.
Amazing place, the girl who was working was so lovely and she really worked hard. Highly recommend as food was delicious as well as the drink.
M. M.
Our first trip to Scotland and on our "bucket list" was haggis and Scottish whisky. The Arcade is a quaint place with a warm atmosphere. You absolutely must try the haggis tower with "neeps" (turnips) and "tatties" (potatoes). We added bacon to ours.
The manner in which the haggis was prepared and seasoned made it quite tasty and if we should be in Scotland again, I will try it with the whisky sauce next time.
J. W.
As someone who considers himself an afficianado of Scotland's national dish haggis, I had to give this place a try after seeing that it boasts to have "the best haggis in Edinburgh." I went in skeptical, but this place proved to live up to its boast. The haggis is indeed excellent as is the extensive whisky list. It is certainly the best haggis I've had outside Cafe Royal in New Town. Give it a try!
S. H.
Simply one if the best meals I have ever had, what a gem, wish we were staying longer so we could come back, excellent staff and food out of the world, daft if you don't pay a visit.
c.
Was a very pleasant place. Lots of people. Food was delicious and portions were good. Staff was fun and friendly. Great haggis too. Very recommended.
P. H.
Best haggis I've ever tasted! Cute little place with big on flavour food decor and whiskey. Perfect place for a late lunch. 👌
D. A.
Great selection of whisky. Great food.
M. D.
Really enjoyable. The haggis, neaps an' tatties were served piping hot, exquisitely tasty, filling and quintessentially Scottish. Take the window seat for an eyeful of Old Town architecture. No bagpipes music - rather mellow jazz. Friendly service. Will return.
S. P.
Awesome haggis! The bar’s cosy and there’s also room upstairs. They have a locally brewed IPA as well.
M. S.
Haggis 🤤 very yummy great choice of whiskey, friendly staff and nice restaurant. Definitely to recommend if you are new to Edinburgh.
J. C.
Absolutely fantastic experience at 'The Arcade' last night; Claudia was most friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable on the Whisky range, providing helpful suggestions to ensure we had a great time, all while serving the restaurant single-handedly. Compliments to the Chef for a fantastic Haggis, with all the extras - superb. Obvious why it's one of Scotland's 'must dos'!
L. D.
Lovely food , but when we arrived we were told all tables were reserved except 2 stalls in the window which we could only have for 1hr , we had lovely food during this time but nobody turned up to the other tables in this time and a party of 4 came in without a reservation and were offered their choice of table !!!!! Just rude .....why lie
K. P.
We found this place throung searching blogs.
If you plan to visit this place, you don't have to doubt taste of scottish food, haggis.
in addition, recommended wiskey by staff is really awesome. if you don't have enough knowledge about wiskey, don't worry about this. all staff suggests good wiskey for you.
J. D.
Expensive but worth it. Haggis and whiskey that make you feel like you want to live there your whole life there. A short life however as this is some luxurious food. Not a bad way to go.
I. M.
I've bene there twice, first time to try the Haggis, second time to have a Scottish Breakfast.
Staff in both occasion was super helpful, very kind and polite. Definitely a good experience. Very good food as well.

One corner off the Royal Mile, Arcade is known for its haggis but the best things to order are the daily specials. I had their daily soup which was a roasted vegetable - it was to die for!
(If you peek inside and it looks crowded, just know there is another dining area in the back). It’s worth a wait!
C. S.
Great food, amazing service and atmosphere, and most importantly excellent range of drinks. The location is ideal if you are in the centre of town and adds a lot to the feel of venue with the exposed stones. Could not have been more pleased to have gone there for the evening.
R. N.
This place is truly amazing!!! Cannot ask for better food!!! ❤️🏴
J. K.
Delicious and service was great! We ordered a beef haggis burger, followed by a Basic Tour. They ran out of one of the whiskies so they gave the more expensive version!
G. S.
Amazing place! The personnel is super helpful and haggis the best! Also, good selection of drinks on the bar.
L. T.
Best haggis in town!
風. P.
Haggis and Cranachan are beautiful and delicious!! You can enjoy it calmly with the warm atmosphere of the restaurant.
L. 9.
My husband and I just walked in Friday afternoon and sat down to have some of their haggis. And we having never tried it before, thought it was absolutely amazing! For a first experience it was just perfect. Eduardo (Edward) was a fantastic server and if I’m ever in Edinburgh again I’ll for sure come back!
B. Y. (.
As a tourist, I wanted to try haggis, mostly as a joke. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The rest of our group each ordered something we had never had and were each amazed. Hands down highly recommended.
r. k.
Best place to try out Haggis.it was so good. Don't forget ask for whiskey sauce it was amazing. We tried out vegetarian haggis as well. It was a very good alternative. The only thing was the portion, which was bit big.
A. M.
Fairly extensive whisky selection pairs nicely with the traditional Scottish dinner options (i.e. lots of lamb). Cranachan is a must try for dessert.
L. B.
Good food, good variety and fair price. The only negative point is the service. It was annoying to see the guy who showed us our table getting drunk with one customer right behind us.
L. C.
Fantastic place. Lovely staff pleasant interior but most importantly of all the haggis was top notch, thoroughly enjoyed our meals and whiskeys and will be back for sure.
Visited early evening Friday 10th September 2021

Just popped in as nothing pre booked. Glad we did. Meal was fantastic. Fish cakes and salad was amazing and the signature haggis dish was superb. Would have had that every night if I could.
M. M.
Excellent place lovely food and drink but bear in mind the haggis dish is big
C. A. R.
Haggis is awesome
Bartender are friendly
Meet lots of good people there
Price not so expensive

Best haggis ever. Fish and chips outstanding. Highly recommended.
S. P.
Lovely dishes of haggis served with passion from chef's kitchen.
E. D.
Amazing experience. Great food, friendly staff. Very tasty Scottish Haggis as they promised.
One of those places where you get a great meal in a nice atmosphere.
J. D.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price.
The waitress who first served us was extremely knowledgeable on the Whiskey and helped us choose. All the staff were friendly and gave the place a 'local bar 'vibe. Would highly recommend.
M. L.
They are not lying, really the best Haggis i ever had!👍💪
Also very friendly staff
A. P.
So wonderful to have had the opportunity to visit Edinburgh and the Arcade Bar again.
I would say the Arcade is famous for its haggis tower and whisky sauce and of course that's what I had 💕❤️💕 absolutely gorgeous.
Staff very welcoming, attentive and well organised.
Fantastic meal. Thank you.
R. A.
Really good haggis & mash. Extensive whisky section and just as extensive vodka selection! I recommend the Pan Tadeusz neat. Will definitely return. 10/10
K. G.
Excellent selection of a wide variety of whisky. Staff were very helpful in recommending something new. The food should not be looked over as the cranachan I had was very good. Will be coming back to try more soon!
F. H.
An absolute gem of a place. Fabulous food, lovely location, attentive staff. One of my favourites 😎
J. A.
Great experience. Really loved the sticky toffee pudding. Place was a bit crowded and cramped but the staff was excellent.
D. T.
Best sticky toffee pudding and haggis i’ve had. Really enjoyed lunch (:!
P. A.
Really great place, amazing atmosphere and very attentive staff. Best haggis ever.
J. O.
Definitely delicious haggis.
a. p.
The best food we ate in Edinburgh on the week we stayed. Very nice Hagis experience, reasonably priced and cosy atmosphere.
T. S.
Great place. Excellent service. Food is marvellous. I did breakfast poached eggs with haggies.
G. Y.
Had the haggis and two whiskies. My tum was satisfied. Haggis was flavorful and delicious and was a good introduction for me to this dish. Friendly staff and more of a casual restaurant atmosphere. If you’re new to Scotch like me and are overwhelmed by large selection on menu, give Dalmore 15 a try. Very smooth.
L. K.
Love this place! The best haggis we've had in Edinburgh... we have tried numerous! Terrific service, great décor and ambience. It's a lovely retreat from the busyness of the streets. Good menu variety for non-haggis eater too. WE will be back... again and again!!
M. J. S.
The best haggis in Edinburgh hands down and a fantastic whisky selection to go with it
C. P.
Beautiful place. Food is very good and well presented, people very nice. We really enjoyed it and had a beautiful birthday in Edinburgh
S. M.
Friendly i had the cheese board but one off the cheeses dry and hard unedible
A. P.
Loved the haggis breakfast and they know how to serve up a great cup of tea!
J. T.
We went here with our 3 teenage kids. I ordered fish and chips - tasted good but it had about 15 bones I had to sort out. 13 yr old ordered child portion of haggis, Diana style and we all thought it tasted way good. I think it was due to the yummy sauce it came with. The steak and ale stew was very good as well. Staff was very nice. 4 stars because of the bones.
J. C.
First time trying haggis so I chose the chicken stuffed with haggis, honestly it was brilliant! Gordon Ramsay would have been proud! The crispy parsnips were ingenious and I have never enjoyed a meal so much!
Brilliant brilliant brilliant!
Definitely go if you are visiting Edinburgh
D. S.
Nice bar, great food, nice atmosphere. Interesting gents toilet design.
c. l.
Haggis :to try. It's nice but heavy. It's good for two. Or if you are really really hungry.
Cranchan: OMG to die for. Wonderful!
C. P.
The Robert burns haggis is worth every mouth full absolutely beautiful well reccomend to visit when in Edinburgh thank you so much 👌👌😍 will come back again when im back here 🤤🤤
K. K. P.
It was great taste... Very neatly mixed lamb heart liver with whisky sause it was great..
A. P.
Very cozy and pleasant bar with great selection of whiskey and amazing haggis. Staff was very friendly, helpful and fast. Definitely will visit them on the next trip to Edinburgh!
S. “. S. D.
Outstanding. Simply breathtaking food, friendly knowledgeable (and patient) staff took 3 novices through the menu, and helped craft a perfect evening
Thank you so much!
B. G.
The name is not for nothing. This is an institution for Haggis! Arcade got a sceptic like me to embrace Haggis. It was perfection on a plate.
Eduardo , the bartender was spot on with his services.
Its a must visit place.
D. G.
One of the best places in royal mail. a large selection of good Polish vodka.they also serve food😅
G. G.
Great food. The Haggis was terrific as was the salmon starters. Dog friendly. Extensive whisky selection
L. D.
Delicious haggis, great whisky, cozy place. Lovely staff, highly recommended
M. R.
Amazing food! Amazing customer service. The lady and gentleman working today were truly exceptional and friendly. The portions were a bit on the large side, shouldn't have had a late lunch and an appetizer. Will definitely be coming back in the future. Reservations recommended, as it was rather busy on a Monday evening.
F. D. V. B.
Came here looking for the "best haggis" in town and ended up having the absolute best mango cheesecake of my entire life (and the best haggis too). I would totally recommend it. Nice attention was also key on the 5 star rating.
L. B.
The ambiance was eclectic and everyone was warm and friendly. The music was fun and the perfect volume for conversation. I ordered Steak & Ale Pie and my husband ordered Pork, Stilton & Asparagus Sausages. Both were delicious! Stop by and enjoy a pint! You won't be disappointed.
N. P.
A group of 16 on a casual Monday evening.
It was amazing! Couldn’t not point out anything wrong!
Lovely atmosphere! Lovely staff! Delicious food!
ROSIE was perfect! She’s a credit for this business.
Made us all feel welcome and warm.
When coming back to Edinburgh, I’ll a 100% come back to this restaurant!
S. D.
Massive plate of haggis, which almost justifies the price. I went here for the haggis. The price was higher than on the website, about 14 pounds. I added whisky sauce so it came up to 16.49, I believe. I loved my Cosmo cocktail, it had just the right amount of sweetness and cheered me up. Cocktails seem competitively priced. Waitresses are nice. Not many blokes hang out at the bar here, probably because there are no barmen, and the waitresses are Latinos and Americans. In terms of atmosphere, it felt a little awkward. 80s music played faintly in the background. Since the women's World Cup and Wimbledon was on, it would have been better if they played something on the screen. Go here when you have money, and for a treat. May be better to sit upstairs so you don't have to listen to the barmaids gossiping with each other when they're bored
N. B.
Pretty amazing experience to round off a business trip. Didn't have a reservation and turned up with a party of 3, only had to wait a few minutes before being sat down at the loveliest table. Beer = good. Service = good. Haggis = goooood. Would make the London - Edinburgh trip again just for that. Great all-rounder.
F. D. V.
Just came back from the dinner. All I can say is that the food was really amazing. The Haggis it's absolutely delicious and I could eat it everyday. The Staff are very nice and friendly.
M. L.
Best haggis un Edinburgh ! Thats true ! Service is very pleasant
J. G.
Maybe my fav place in Edinburgh. Absolute amazing selection of drinks. And the haggis was fantastic. I different take on a classic Scottish dish. I really can't say enough about it. And the staff were extremely helpful and very informative on the drinks they served. Definitely one to go back to. And definitely one to try if you haven't already
B. A.
The best haggis tatties and neeps you will get in the town. Service was awesome. Polite and very friendly , overall an awesome experience 👍
A. W.
Beautiful (and large) starter of smoked salmon and horseradish cream cheese on crackers! Amazing haggis (went with the Prince's Diane!) which was beautifully plated with 'tatties & neeps'. Cheeseboard was a little underwhelming, but hardly necessary after those two courses. A wonderful bar with lovely staff! Will be recommending to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
V. B.
The food was excellent: I obviously went for haggis and sticky toffee pudding. I chose Princes Diana Haggis, which was served with Drambuie liqueur, which was a real treat.
I just walked in and was lucky enough to get a table straight away (it was earlier than 7pm, though), which surprised me being Good Friday and, obviously, the weekend.
The service was incredibly quick and the waitresses helpful and attentive. Overall, a great experience and I'd love to come back next time I'm in town!
Note: I have overheard they don't accept small children, so families might want to consider another place.
D. J.
We were just here for breakfast, but that was excellent. First-rate haggis (yes, I know, what does that mean?), good Scottish eggs, black pudding. It's its own cholesterol management program in reverse. Oh, and the staff were extremely friendly. We have to try the whiskies later...
J. H.
First trip to Scotland and my partner was insistent that I had to try haggis! Only problem is I am gluten free and it can be a challenge to find food at the best of times, let alone haggis! We were amazed to find this place, which had a very friendly atmosphere as well as a great selection of whiskys which was a great addition to our meal! I have to say the haggis was AMAZING and we will definitely be having haggis again on Burns night. If it's anything as good as this I will be very chuffed!
S. J.
Loved the Haggis dish. Yum.
D. S.
The title of the restaurant is perfectly apt. The food is exceptional and whiskeys comprehensive. I had the haggis stuffed chicken and couldn't believe how delicious it was. Do not pass this place if you're just visiting! Great lunch spot.
E. K.
Very friendly staff who were more than happy to chat and recommend a whisky! The food was amazing! Ordered the haggis with neeps and tatties, with whisky gravy, the portion was large and just tasted gorgeous! Highly recommend!
R. G.
As good as it looks! Best haggis in town...
김.
First time to try haggis here. It was very successful. The main dish was great and haggis bon bon with kale was really excellent. A little expensive but this bar has a nice atmosphere. However, it was difficult to understand that I was led to a corner seat.
A. C.
As a tourist I cannot judge authenticity, but the Haggis dish was excellent and unlikely to offend anyone with a North American palate. Not to understate it but it reminded me of Shepherd's pie, (hamburger and potato), but instead was haggis and mashed turnip. (I'm not a fan of turnip but it was great). Great way to feel adventurous and have a great meal.
P. T. A.
Loved loved loved!!!! If you’re in the mood for a drink and dessert this is the place.
C. Z. (.
First time in Scotland from Australia. Never tried Haggis before. Was a little scared of it to be honest. Ordered it here and omg. Very delicious!!!. Very good service too. Left me wanting to come back for more. Definitely recommend :)
R. T.
I ordered their famous Haggis stack, and it was very good. Megan ordered the steak and ale pie and she loved every bite. The veggies served on the side where fresh and delicious. I had a lot of fun exploring their 100+ whisky menu, which was very educational.
I. K.
Chilled out bar with a massive whisky selection. Try the Haggis!
a. p.
The best food we ate in Edinburgh on the week we stayed. Very nice Hagis experience, reasonably priced and cosy atmosphere.
J. P.
Amazing food, lovely staff, great haggis!

Had a delicious vegetarian hagis

It was amazing! Couldn’t not point out anything wrong!
Lovely atmosphere! Lovely staff! Delicious food! …
F. K.
Very tasty food 😋
C.
Haggis highly recommended. Love it or love it!
d. f.
Best Haggis I have ever had would highly recommend
K. P.
Great place for haggis
M. J.
Great customer service, craft beers, and as you would hope the haggis is excellent.
S. R.
Very nice Haggis with some heat to it (not spicy, but pepper-y). If you do pick the Haggis make sure you get the whisky sauce, the bacon option is (despite this Haggis' intent moistness) too rich and dry - it doesn't go down easy.
A. D.
Fantastic haggis, really awesome atmosphere with the chilled music and intimate atmosphere
D. S.
"The best Haggis in Town "
That was what is written above and that - is absolutely True!
I have never eaten Haggis be4 and I dont like Inside Stuff (lung, heart, lever etc) but this was just totally tasty, 2gether with the Perfect Whisky Sauce!
And Klaudia - which was our waitress - is a wonderful Person and did a great Job!
M. S.
Food is epic, and in very very healthy portion sizes. Highly recommend the Princes Diana Haggis dish.
Staff were a bit slow and less helpful than I expected in the centre of the tourist area of old town Edinburgh.
Good selection of whiskeys, but poor selection of whiskey cocktails.
S. W.
The food here was incredible and they have a huge list of whisky. I had a gluten free haggis which might have been one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Highly recommend!!
J. C.
Great final meal and whisky before catching the train out of town
S. G.
Fantastic food - the haggis tower with the whisky sauce was incredible as was the chicken stuffed with haggis. Great selection of whisky too. Friendly, helpful staff. Booking recommended.
C. “. S.
Had a great experience...the haggis appetizer is a good intro to the flavor, the Chicken w/ haggis stuffing was delicious! The whiskey collection is exquisite and provides an excellent opportunity to explore the range of flavors.
L. “. B. B. S.
I went here twice and I confirm they do the best Haggis in town! I tried haddock & chips as well, both dishes were exquisite! One cannot come to Edinburgh without having their superlative haggis. A must.
m. c.
Great service and drinks but I was really disappointed by the haggis. I did try it couple of times before in the highlands but this one was truly to rich on pepper for me, I was missing all other tastes. Maybe it was a one time issue, need to try again.
T. H.
They don't say without a reason that they serve the best haggis the town.
If you have the chance, order the haggis with whisky sauce, but also without the haggis tastes excellent.
J. R.
Hamburgers as slow food
They've got a board up asking their patrons for patience because it takes time to prepare good food. Fair enough - but 30 minutes for a hamburger & fries?! I was the only customer, several people came after me and got their haggis in minutes. Upon enquiry I was told takes 30 minutes to grill a hamburger patty. That was news to me. (And got me a bit worried)
When the food finally came, it was lovely: great fries, great haggis hamburger, lovely red cabbage slaw with raisins. Just bring some time.
A. X.
Beautiful place, delicious food. Relaxing atmosphere and attentive service make you feel most welcome. Tried my first Scottish breakfast, haggis & black pudding. Amazing.
K. S.
The Robert Burns haggis with sauce is worth waiting for....and you will wait. Staff was a little strange, there was a loud, garbled speaker like a drive-thru going off, splitting the bill was a chore. Kitchen closes at ten, so no dessert for me. Too bad these things detract from a really nice meal and great whisky selection.
C. C.
Very nice bar with helpful staff, highly recommended for a breakfast
F. W.
Awesome food, I just ate the best haloumi burger of my life. My husband‘s haggis was perfect as well. Great dessert, service and music!!
m.
A friend recommended it to us and to have the Haggis tower "It was the best thing I've had in my mouth".
We'll we've had the "Princess Dianna Haggis" and feel that the build up and anticipation was met.
A fantastic dinner with great service.
R. M.
I love this place! Always go here whenever we come to Edinburgh for whisky and haggis. Never had anything other than the haggis, neeps and tatties (with a side of bacon) but why would you choose anything else when it is so delicious. A really great looking little cafe bar with lots of little details to the décor
C. H. H.
Nice, laid back, restaurant with friendly staff, serving classic scottish dishes. Went here for a birthday dinner eating haggis and cranachan. Very delicious, no need to be scared at all. Large portions, go with two courses.
J. C.
Tried the haggis, it was amazing, looked just like in the photo, a very generous portion, and have been dreaming of it since. Was also pleasantly surprised at the prices, obviously not a "cheap eats" place but really good prices for what you get.
Staff were friendly and service was very fast - we only had 45min free, but food came really fast so we were in and out in 30min.
K. T.
They do vegan haggis but without any sauce. Sorry but it's really not hard for a cook to make a vegan sauce! The waiting staff are lovely and it's in a nice location.
B. W.
Great whisky, second haggis ever but super delicious. Highly recommended. Also seems like they had to turn away a lot of folks due to popularity.
S. v. (.
5 Stars - but this place cheats.
Why? Because it focuses on serving the best haggis and whiskey. How can you go wrong there? Brilliant idea and pulled off perfectly. The food is great and upstairs is a good laugh too.
Get some hag' 'n' snag down you before you go out for a drink - satisfaction guaranteed
G. D.
This is a very cosy little restaurant/bar. We had the haggis with neeps and tatties with the whisky sauce which was very nice. The staff were friendly and prices very reasonable! They have a large number of whiskys on offer and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
D. C.
Delicious food in upstairs bar. Haggis balls with kale crisps were excellent. Didn't take cards but oddly has a cashline on the premises!
J. “. N.
Great place. Haggis and Polish vodka are perfect match.
S. g. F. t. i.
Was in Scotland and had to get some haggis and Scotch since I've never had either. I'm generally a vegetarian and a bourbon drinker since I'm from the states. After a few whiskies and some haggis here I made a soild executive decision to get wasted in Edinburgh. This was about a year ago this but I still remember that night. Great times. Highly recommend.
S. K.
I've been in twice - once on a Saturday and once on a Tuesday. Saturday was quite lively and there was a short wait for a table, Tuesday was very quiet, only a couple other tables were there. The service was excellent both times. The atmosphere and décor is lovely, very cozy and cute, and doesn't feel touristy in the slightest. On the Saturday they were playing some of my favourite indie tunes, and on Tuesday they were playing some rad 60's/70's stuff. The food is excellent; both times I had the Princess Diana Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties (That's turnip and potato, folks! Not sweet potato!) and it was equally as good both times. The sticky toffee pudding was divine, but they were unfortunately out of toffee sauce on my second visit, so we opted for the cheesecake instead, which was also lovely. The whisky menu is extensive, though it was somewhat wasted on a non-whisky-enthusiast like me. Overall, I do hope I get to go back before my 5-month stint in Scotland is up!
J. E.
Excellent restaurant for traditional Haggis as well as some more modern twists (Haggis nachos were awesome!). Great selection of whisky to go with the meal. Fully recommended, will be going back! :)
P. a. K.
Very interesting Scots dishes and great haggis! I had the starter called haggis Bon bons which was fun with a whisky marmalade and melt in the mouth kale. Warm cozy atmosphere in the section off Cockburn. My only complaint was a very obnoxious walking talkie going off with calls from the kitchen. Not sure if this is a regular thing but they really need to figure out another way as this was terribly disruptive to the vibe.
J. P.
Amazing food, lovely staff, great haggis!
K. L.
Amazing haggis. Staff are friendly and it's such a nice calm atmosphere. A++ I will certainly be heading back and it's a definite recommend.
O. H.
Brilliant decor, fantastic food, and friendly staff. The haggis was delicious and extremely filling. Relatively cheap for the quality and amount of food.
r.
What can you say besides the best haggis in town.
T. H.
Excellent food and drinks. Party of 6 each ordered something different from the dinner menu including starters. Everyone loved their food. Staff were lovely and provided excellent recommendations. Price was very reasonable for the quality of food. We will definitely be back.
N. M.
Arcade is a very friendly place to enjoy Scotch Whiskey or taste the Haggis dish. The staff helped us find the appropriate whisky type, through a VERY long list! Absolutely recommended!
J. P.
My first taste of Haggis. Very tasty and a great venue. Thanks!
P. M.
A bit disappointed. I think when any establishment gets high reviews it has a lot to live up to. It's a nice cosy atmosphere but more bar than restaurant. My lamb burger was a bit tepid. I think they got our order and the next tables mixed up. Anyway it was worth a visit
G. M.
I've been here 4 years ago and was best haggis... Now.. still the best.. and lot of whiskeys to test... my wife had a lamb burguer and was excellent to.... it's a must when you are in Edinburgh.
A. C.
Fab staff, wonderfuly quirky decor and the food is simply devine. As a haggis novice this was the perfect introduction to it in many shapes and forms, needles to say, we loved it!
P. M.
It's true that they serve the best haggis in Edinburgh. Highly recommend!
B. M.
Great little place, the Princess Diana haggis was delicious. The atmosphere was cosy, staff friendly and service fast. Their whisky selection is also somewhat mind boggling!!
J. A.
Does exactly what it says on the tin; great haggis and an excellent array of delicious whisky. Service with a smile and very reasonably priced. Love this place. Thanks
S. S.
Great service, best haggis I've ever had and great selection of whiskys. Lovely staff and cool interior, highly recommend.
K. H.
Great place on the royal mile. Good service and nice ambiance. We took the haggis tower. If you order that don't forget the whisky sauce, really compliments it.
Y. N.
Really nice place: quiet, romantic atmosphere, elegant design and tasty dishes. I came here to try Scottish haggis , and it was suberb. Service is on high level.
J. W.
This place has great food! If you like the unexpected, you have to get the Haggis Nachos! The presentation of the traditional Haggis is amazing! If you're in the area, this place is a must.
J. G.
Nice beer on tap on a fair selection of whiskies in a warm and relaxed environment, right in the centre of town. The staff were really friendly and the food genuinely looked great (we were just in for drinks but will return for a burger at some stage).
R. D.
Nice and quiet place to enjoy a drink & food in the centre of Edinburgh. Might be hard to find in side alley but well worth the search!
T. K.
Very cosy atmosphere and nice drinks. We had soup of the day which was amazing, and than tried Cranachan, but the oats used in it tasted like if they were very old.
A. M.
Best haggis I've had in Edinburgh. And a wide selection of whiskeys. A bit understaffed maybe, but they were very nice and attentive. Highly recommended!
A. S.
Amazing food, great service and one of my favourite places to eat.
M. C.
Had neither whisky nor haggis but the food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic! A cute pub-like place that is open late near the royal mile!
M. M.
I tried my first ever Haggis here, and it was very good! I suggest to try the whiskeys here, too. All and all I had a very pleasantly Scottish evening here. The staff, too, was very friendly. I do recommend it!
B.
Really good food (haggis, neeps & tatties) with a layed back feel without slow services.
D. A.
Awesome place in heart of old town Edinburgh right near the Fringe Festival if you visit in the summer, but all in all, a great place for good food and drink with a lively staff and traditional Scottish menu. I would recommend this place highly as a good place to rest and orient yourself for what else you’d like to see in the city.
S. R.
I keep coming back to this place on my visits to Edinburgh. The signature haggis is absolutely delicious! Great selection of whisky too.
P. J.
Probably too expensive for what you get. Small portions but well prepared.
Drinks are pricey too...
N. S.
Haggis was delicious
Having dinner in a quiet place is a great place
N. V. d. B.
We been here a few times when visiting Edinburgh. Ate our first haggis here, it was delicious! Worth a new visit.
S. P.
Nice ambience and good food. We had Scottish special haggis with whiskey souce which was really nice to have but you feel bit expensive.
M. M.
Very tasty and quality is good! I tried the typical haggins with whiskey sauce and It was amazing!
The Place is nice but a little expensive. Anyway the best haggins in town for my point!
J. R.
Had veggie burger. Nice but chips were greasy. My daughter had chicken and haggis, chicken was burnt.. but my daughter too nice to complain x shame as nice place x
S. S.
Great Atmosphere and tasty food. Haggis was excellent, Lamb Burger was good. Would recommend going here if you want to try Haggis!
J. A.
We got what we wanted ..it looked good and there was 2 empty plates..nice place..nice staff and nice haggis..all good.
M. S.
Loved this place! The chicken stuffed with haggis was creative and delicious. The soup of the day, lentil soup was also delicious. Would highly recommend.
D. N.
First time eating haggis. It was delicious. Will be going back for sure. Nice establishment with fun details and good service.
L. S.
Good service, very patient with customer service, and prompt with the delivery as promised. I am very satisfied.
M. C.
Amazing food. Lovely restaurant interior, although ruined by trip to the 'heavily grafiteed toilets!' which are a stark contrast and a letdown for a nice restaurant. Also, a strange choice of eastern European tv and also music for a Scottish themed restaurant! The food is the saving grace here.
M. C.
Waited over one and a half hour for our order to be served. Haggis was very good but overall quite expensive for taste and size of portions.
S. B.
Good food and great atmosphere. Haggis was awesome and there’s a huge variety of whisky to pick!
M. J.
Great customer service, craft beers, and as you would hope the haggis is excellent.
A.
Epic haggis. Great restaurant serving traditional British food, book in advance as it gets v. Busy on weekends and at peak tourist season. The haggis tatties and neeps stack is a must!
L. S.
Very cute, food was okay, the portion was small. The drinks were good but a little expensive. Great place for haggis though
P. G.
Massive portions. Good food and super tasty haggis. The chicken stuffed with haggis is also very nice as is the vegetarian haggis option!
S. P.
Cozy space, right in the heart of the old part of Edinburgh. Haven't tried any other haggus to compare this with, but sure it was good. Also good selection of whiskies. I'd go back.
K. A.
Lovely little cosy bar/restaurant. Delicious haggis, great selection of whiskeys. Lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
S. S.
The place is good enough for a one time visit. The food is ok, the ambience is ok. The waitress was eastern european and did not seem to care too much about making the guests feel at home.
E. G.
Excellent place to try the famous haggis, one of the best places in Edinburgh. The prices are reasonable, the taste and presentation of food is very good!
L. L.
Food was nice but not amazing
J. S.
If you go you NEED to try the haddock and chips, best in town.

Tried Haggis for the first time here, with the haggis bombons and omg it was amazing!! Went three times during my 3 day trip.
C. B.
Friendly staff and great haggis as well as a wide selection of whiskies. A great place to introduce someone to Scottish food.

Arcade Bar, in Edinburgh serves the best haggis in the world. Great whisky and service. Stop by if you can.
R. W.
Found this on a lark, but was really pleased with my choice one I got in. The decor is top notch and will keep you interested. the Food however matches and you have a complete success in making a stop here. I always get a little worried when a place tries so hard to present you with it "authenticity" but this works and I would recommend it any time.
Y. F.
Was told it is THE place for haggis, so i had to come and order that, with a side of a 15 yo single malt.
I highly recommend the whisky selection, but found the haggis meat too salty, and the rest bland.
K. W.
Very tasty Haggis. Seriously good whisky selection with good description on menus. Loved it.
