First thing is to try Wasabi here . And then everything after. Excellent place to try the East Asian food. I tried the Sushi and teriyaki chicken and smoked salmon. Absolutely wonderful taste. There is nothing junk here and you can also choose some bubble drinks along. They have hot as well as cold food options. I would highly recommend to try the Wasabi here. Such a current in your head and it will open up every nerve for you. Lol. Be careful.

Ordered bao with mushrooms, mochi and salmon sushi online a few days ago and I just wanted to say how pleased I was with my order. Everything was very delicious, tasted fresh, arrived fast and was packaged well. I would definitely order again :)

Tasty, good quality food! The sushi tastes great and you can tell the quality is quite good. It is a little on the expensive side. If you decide to eat the food in the store you will be charged an extra fee. Very convenient take-away shop.

We arrived to the store close to closing and staff were kind enough not to turn us away and make us our order, despite the shelves being empty. Really yummy food, absolutely love eel dons and this one did not dissappoint. The sushi was also really good, fresh, rice cooked well. Definitely recommend coming here for fast sushi. Was interested in this place as soon as I saw they were opening! The price is super cheap, the staff are absolutely lovely and were super helpful when an item I ordered was out of stock! (I LOVED the cute drawing thank you~) The sushi tastes really fresh, and is very delicious and the matcha milk with egg pudding was SO tasty!! Everything from here is very reasonably priced as well! Preparation and delivery time is super fast as well! I genuinely think this has become my favourite Asian restaurant in Edinburgh!!

Fantastic sushi in Edinburgh; decently priced for fresh fish. However, the kitchen staff are leery and creepy. I have mentioned this to staff and they have been told off but really uncomfortable for a female customer to come in and be stared at like that. Would recommend you have a discussion with your staff to act professionally or fire them. This has been my experience twice in a row.

Not a fan of the sushi here, could be more flavourful. If you want some decent sushi I'd recommend Bonsai instead, although you'll have to wait for it to be made. Seating here is a bit limited too, so stick to it as a quick grab-and-go, and you'll be fine.

One of my favourite places to eat on South Bridge. A decent selection of food to pick from, some quite exotic stuff like eel too! I usually go for the Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl which is delicious! Not a huge amount of seating but usually able to get sat somewhere.

Best Japanese place in Edinburgh. Gluten and Vegan friendly. Bento has the highest quality, fairest price Japanese food that I had the pleasure of trying in Edinburgh. They ensure that any allergens are clearly communicated via labels at the food corners. The only negative point is that they don't offer any gluten free curries, which is my personal favourite of Japanese cuisine. However, the shop is very vegan/celiac friendly, so I would recommend it for people with special dietary requirements.

Got here by chance. Sushi and sashimi were very good and tasty and food portions were very good! A lot of variety of dishes. I like the fact that they also had steamed buns and dim sum and gyozas. Place is clean and there are places to seat. The only thing that I would observe is that their racks seemed a bit empty which meant that you had to order the product you wanted and wait. So maybe that will not make it a full fast food thing, but if you don’t mind the wait, it’s actually very good.

My wife and I had a hurried lunch today. The place is clean and nice and the food top class. We had eel rice box and chicken teriyaki plus some dumplings and must say the rice boxes are the best I have ever had anywhere. They are £9 each but top quality and superb taste. Didn't like the bao but the gyozo good. The bao texture not quite right. But this is a go to place for quality food in Edinburgh.

Rather nice sashimi place for take out or sitting in. Went in a couple of weeks ago to pick up takeaway and have my own sit in and there was a bit of an issue with the bill but they promptly fixed it for me. As far as prices are concerned the fish is increadibly fresh, the portions are pretty good and a great location. Have been here a couple of times and I've never been disappointed.

Sushi was Nice, unfortunately we didnt get wasabi at all and WHY didnt we get any chopsticks? This may be a cultural thing but arent there supposed to be chopsticks with take away food? We order for a Nice amount of sushi and we didnt get any chopsticks. We had to eat with our hands like cave people since we are staying in a lodge and there is No kitchen for cutlery. So now my hands smell like salmon and seaweed. The experience was Not as good as I hoped, may have been better if we got chopsticks. Also the deliverer was 15 min late.. So my gyoza was cold and the Bao also. Seaweed was very Nice with the soy beans and carrot inside. Made iT a bit more exciting.

Great meal. Quick feed which was reasonably priced and very tasty. There is large open fridges and hearing ovens which you can choose whatever you want ranging from curried rice and meats, teriyaki meals, dumplings, sushis and sashimi. They do bubble tea as well for anyone who likes that. The only reason I marked it down is the shear amount of packaging that jist gets flung into the bin. They make no attempt to recycle or separate packaging.

I feel like Bento could be a really good place to have a quick (and healthy) dinner, but a couple of things need some work. First, the positives. Front of house staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Good range of food on display, ready to eat and reasonably priced. Negatives: Just two things really but they did significantly spoil things. First: relaxing and atmosphere-appropriate music being played out front totally clashing with the back of house staff playing music on their phones (didn't realise I could hate Uptown Funk anymore than I already do, but this experience was an eye-opener). Second: hot food is kept out front in what would best be described as ideal bacteria-growing conditions. I had the chicken teriyaki and miso soup and both were lukewarm. I have no idea how long the food was sitting there but there is no way that it is safe to keep cooked meat sitting at that temperature for even half an hour minimum. I honestly wouldn't have minded waiting to have the hot food prepared. So, two things, Bento; one, have a shift manager in place keeping the kitchen in line, no point in them serving good food if they're killing the atmosphere at the same time. Two, sort out your hot holding before your next EHO visit.
