Nice atmosphere, fantastic big screen for the rugby, cheap drinks, food a bit basic (but tasty nevertheless, no complaints about that). Kept trying to upsell spiced bacardi when I asked for Morgan's, no idea why, it's rot gut. Having a combination lock on the gents toilet cubicle made it a bit bizarre, I wasn't asking for the code to do a number two 😀. Thanks to the staff in general on Saturday afternoon for their good service and banter

The Greenmantle is a great place to have a drink with friends. However, the prices remain high at £5 a pint for the location it's based. The atmosphere is great, and I think will get better as the pandemic blows over.

My first time in the Greenmantle yesterday and all I can say I was mesmerized and automatically felt at home. The staff were fantastic, especially one who was funny and made me smile and laugh. The drinks and food are average prices and I have to say it's probably the best Guinness I've had in Edinburgh so far. I'll definitely be back there a lot. Definitely worth a visit. Dog friendly too.

Good pub grub, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Menu is limited to burgers, scampi and the likes - so don't expect a restaurant experience. Live sports are shown on occasions and they also have live music on a regular basis. There's a good selection of beers, wines and spirits too. Student discount available. Enjoyable experience every time I visit.

We went on a Monday and had the 2 for 1 burgers! The burgers were delicious! We were there during the World Cup and they were streaming the games! The place was packed pretty quickly, but it wasn't suffocating or claustrophobia-inducing. We also had the chocolate cake which was delicious! I would highly recommend eating here!

Whilst they changed their menu in the last 2 years, the buffalo burgers are still excellent. The staff are very friendly and always go out of their way for you. And in general, it has a nice, cosy feel to it that hasn't been lost even after refurbishment.

By far the best burgers in town! Friendly staff and recently renovated. The owners of bar is also environmentally conscious... Given they don't give plastic straws with drinks (you can request a biodegradable straw should you really want one).

A fine drinking establishment with excellent burgers, friendly staff and a fine selection of spirits and ales. Must recommend the land lady Isabelle Almond, ask for her by her full name and be greeted as a family friend with hugs and smile, a true gem of the Edinburgh community.

You're making your way back into the city from Arthur's seat, tired, wet and cold. All you want is a comfy place to sit and recover. You see a sign- Greenmantle Bar. Inside you find what you were looking for and more- great music, good booze, reasonable prices and haggis, neeps and tatties to rival any in the city. Pricey (in my opinion) at about £5 a pint. Also, my friend ordered mac 'n' cheese with bacon, which was brought without the bacon. This was followed by a basket of six chicken goujons which only contained five. To be fair, when we complained about the missing chicken, two extra goujons were freshly cooked and brought to us right away.

(Translated) We had a £ 18 menu which includes 2 cheeseburgers, onion rings, nuggest, mixed fries, and garlic bread. Generous portion and all very good. The downsides are that the place is badly done, wherever you sit the cold air of those who come in / out or worse the smell comes from the bathroom we also asked for a dessert and it took us 30 minutes to then tell us that it was finished . (Original) Abbiamo preso un menù a 18£ che comprende 2 cheeseburger, onion rings, nuggest, mixed fries, e garlic bread. Porzione abbondante e tutto molto buono. I lati negativi sono che il locale è fatto male, ovunque ti siedi arriva l'aria fredda di chi entra/esce o peggio l'odore che arriva dal bagno inoltre abbiamo chiesto un dolce e ci ha messo 30 minuti per poi dirci che era finito.
