Reviews of Harmonium
G. N.
I am not a vegan but I love vegan food if it is well prepared. Here the kitchen is nice, the staff is nice but I felt there is a big problem. When I went through the menu I noticed they are mimicking non vegan food. I tried dishes like this and they were always just following the original one from behind. It is not different here. I honestly don't understand why vegan kitchen needs to follow the "mainstream". There are so great dishes with veggies what are individually good. With anything else I was satisfied with. Make the food original and this will be a perfect place. With dishes like this only vegans who miss their meaty dishes will enjoy the food and for a sustainable future non vegans eating more vegan food is important. I willing to join in for some nice original vegan food. Good luck in the future, make it work for all of us.

Loved the place really nice vibe and styling, also the food was amazing and the staff were lovely. I had vegan (ofc!) mac and cheese with fries and garlic bread. Gorgeous hot cookie for dessert. Also tried the hoisin loaded fries they were so good!
J. E.
Fabulous vegan food place. Varied menu and everything we had was amazing. I had a huge artichoke starter (photo) and a great haggis main (ate before realised I’d forgotten the photo) Friendly staff and they even allowed dogs and bring them a bowl of water! Fabulous and will be back next time I’m in Edinburgh
G. B.
So great food. All vegan. Had the haggis quesadilla from main selection. Even though I am not vegan, had to order another one to make sure it was that yummy. It was. Great cosy place with a slight labyrinth to get to the loo, but after 2 pints it's actually adventurous. Highly recommended it!
P. K.
Delicious vegan food with excellent service in a lovely relaxed ambience. Will definitely come again. Plus the vegan fish and chips are amazing

When I planned to come to Edinburgh this was one of the places I wanted to visit!
The staff where super helpful and attentive and the food was unreal too!
I got the truffle shuffle cheese & bacon burger and upgraded the chips for truffle fries ( as you may be able to tell I like truffle)
The hand cut chips were so nice and the burger was oozing with flavour too.
I still had room afterwards so opted for a deep fried pineapple fritter with ice cream which left me in a food coma!
Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for some tasty grub and it was 100% vegan too!
A. R.
So glad we gave this place a try! The whole menu is vegan so there’s loads of options from comfort food to really innovative dishes. It’s great value for money and delicious. The team there are super friendly. Definitely recommend!

I had Christmas Dinner last week at Harmonium and it was the most festive I’ve felt in a while! I had been to the other Harmonium in Leith, this was my first visit to East London Street. My meal was super tasty - the Seitan smothered in delicious homemade gravy, the veg with cheeze sauce, the perfect roasties - I could happily have eaten this every day in December and not got bored!
J.
Lovely place, squeezed us in at lunch last minute. Food was good quality and service was attentive. First place I have been to since Covid began that we have had service like before.
D. H.
Truly excellent restaurant. Casual, friendly vibe. Lovely staff. Vegan black-pudding, bacon and mushroom scallops were tops (I’d never had vegan black pudding before), as were the loaded fries. The main (a Mexican-inspired dish incorporating vegan haggis) was delish. Every town/city should have a place like this.

So happy with my experience here. The crab cakes were gorgeous. Very happy with pizza and "fish" and chips. Unfortunately, too full to try the desserts but I would happily give them a chance for these again! Superb service and speedy food prep. Staff all masked and very sensible. Entrance to restaurant and toilets all have a one-way entrance/exit system.

It was a nice evening, and the food is really tasty and not too pricey.
The no fish and chips and the Mac and cheese (vegan) were particularly delicious, tho I must say I like to know what I'm eating and the kind of protein and meat and dairy replacement used which is not mentioned anywhere on their menu or website. I think it's cool to have that info available for education and inspiration :))
Our waitress was like the rest of the staff, super polite and efficient, but as disabled customer I would have liked them to pay a bit more attention to the accessibility considering I was in my wheelchair and had to move things out of my way quite a few times to be able to move throughout the restaurant (high stools were blocking part of the entrance to the accessible toilet, a sign with info about drinks narrowing the path to the tables etc) but hopefully this review can help and make the staff a bit more mindful!
A.
The service was phenomenal, so friendly and attentive and I even got a new playlist on Spotify to follow! Atmosphere is very laid back and the decor is lovely. The food was good but was let down by the starter, our starter of scallops was really bland, the pea purée didn’t taste of anything, the mushroom scallops needed seasoning, the black pudding was a brilliant consistency but tasted of nothing. However, the mains were to die for! My fried rice was delicious and my partner had macaroni cheese which was mouth watering ! Such a friendly, laid back, welcoming. creative little place to go and amazing value for money. Highly recommend x

Superb Vegan restaurant in Edinburgh. The food was excellent. The haggis pizza is among the best I've tasted. Great value for money. Staff were friendly and efficient. Give it a try you won't be dissapointed.
V. B.
Food was really tasty and there's an excellent selection of choices. The decor and atmosphere are great and staff are helpful and polite, only thing I'd say if you wanted to stay for a longer time, a lot of the chairs (that I noticed) are hard wood/benches rather than comfy, relaxing chairs. But we had a lovely meal and drinks and would go again.
R. H.
Great bar slightly off the beaten track! I asked for a spicy margarita which they hadn't made before but they very happily gave it a go for me. It was delicious and the prices and service are excellent!!
s.
Stopped in for Brunch. Lovely atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. The servers are super friendly and delightful! Tried the pan seared king oyster mushroom scallops, chipotle haggis quesa, and the no-fish and chips. Loved them all! Highly recommended for both vegans and non-vegans! Will definitely visit again.
C. B.
Great atmosphere and nice cocktails. I was impressed with vegan scallops and Vietnamese fries (definitely worth a try).My friend had vg fish & chips but it lacked flavour (seaweed or sth to taste/feel like fish). Staff are wonderful, friendly and all Covid guidelines are superb.
A. B.
Best vegan mac n cheese I’ve had!!! I love how they do a small portion as well for those who find it hard to eat a full meal 🥰🙌🏻 staff always friendly and nice whenever I visit love this place so much
s.
I am a woman really dislike the fact that I have to share toilets with men. The toilets are separated into the ones with 'cubicles' and the ones with 'urinals and cubicles' which means that any dude can just walk in the 'cubicles' bathroom as he pleases. I did not feel safe in those toilets, and I am adult, i just wonder how more vulnerable women, such as teenage girls would feel...
c.
Tried a bit of everything and every single bit was unreal. The artichokes have no business being that good!! Great atmosphere too and nice service. Plan a reservation as it's very popular (and it should be!)
L. F.
Plus:
+ Nice ambient.
+ All vegetarian dishes.
+ Plenty of Gluten Free options clearly labelled.
+ Plenty of drink options - Including non-alcoholic options.
Could improve:
- The kitchen might close earlier that you might expect on a Saturday night and you don’t get a forewarning of it. We order deserts and we were told “Sorry the kitchen is now closed”.
- We found some of the dishes too hot for our taste. Perhaps the spiciness could be optional or be clearly labelled. For example, we had to leave the Mulligatawny soup and Jalapeno Hush Puppies to the side because of how hot they were.
s.
I tried Harmonium for the first time when they were still in Leith. The new location is much better and the menu has definitely improved. What was missing was something with spinach or aubergines because I don’t remember having seen any dishes with these. It would be good to start thinking beyond vegan burgers and pizza
N. F.
A lovely place with really good vibes. Excellent food and it's reasonably priced. My non vegan friend also loved it!
F. F.
Great food, great beer and excellent service
K. W.
Great drinks and food with friendly staff! Had the Il Greco pizza and the macaroni and cheese which were both great choices. It’s great to be able to go to a restaurant that is fully vegan and have so many choices.
A. M.
Amazing food, large portions, great atmosphere. So good we went 3 days in a row. You will not be disappointed. Your money will go far. Beer and cocktails available. Perfect for any occasion and family friendly. Always check the specials board.
S. G.
The best vegan food in Edinburgh!
H. M.
Amazing food, worth the wait. I went on a Sunday night and the place wasn't full when I got in, but it quickly got really busy. I was so impressed with the awesome menu - I haff to keep reminding myself that it really was all vegan! I had the purple sprouting broccoli for a starter and it was one of the best veggie preparations I've ever seen at any restaurant. It was served on a bed of rocket with vegan feta pistachios and a lemon wedge. So delicious. I had asked my server what she suggested for the main; she set me straight onto the chicken burger. It was delicious, but the best were the fries dusted with nutritional yeast and truffle oil. The only down side was that, while every ounce was friendly and helpful, the food took an awfully long time to come out. But it was worth the wait.
M. W.
If you're vegan then this is a place you have to go try, even if you aren't vegan I would highly recommend it too. Some of the dishes you wouldnt believe were vegan. Lot of different things to have, as well as specials which vary from day to day. If you like a cocktail there's a few to choose from, as well as an extensive spirit and beer menu. Would definitely go again.
H. K.
Vegan restaurant with a big menu, mostly focused on meat imitations. Nice selections of beers and cocktails too. We had a pizza and faux fish and chips, which were pretty good. I would personally prefer just good vegan food though, rather that trying to imitate meat dishes. But I am excited to come back and try more of the menu!
C. K.
Absolutely delicious vegan fish burger. Also had the baked cookie for dessert. Can reccomend both!
T. C.
INNOVATIVE, TASTY AND FILLING
Wasn't too busy at 1pm on a Sunday so was able to get a table fairly easily. We had to wait a few minutes for the kitchen to transition from serving brunch to lunch so might wanna come here a little after 1 to avoid that wait. However the food came out quickly after we ordered it.
The Vietnamese Loaded fried were awesome! The hoisin sauce worked so well with the fries and made them extremely moreish. This provided a great combination of crunchy and sweet.
The No-Fish and Chips was super close to tasting like fish and chips and it was rather tasty as well. The banana blossom replicated the taste and texture of fish extremely well.
Highly recommend this place to anyone!
K. B.
Very tasty food, lovely service. Good atmosphere and location.
T. S.
One of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh!! Amazing food, cocktails and atmosphere, absolutely love it 😍
K. M.
the food is amazing! the vibe is amazing and the staff are wonderful. even if you aren’t vegan this place is a MUST try. even just for a drink
L. W.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious vegan meals (review from my mum who doesn't have a Google account 😄)
J. A.
Imaginative plant-based takes on Scottish bar fare. Lovely digs, great craft beer selection.
K. G.
Lovely chill spot for vegan food! The mushroom scallops were very memorable and the service was amazing!
T. S.
Delicious meal here with friends. Very chill with excellent food. Service was good. Defo be back when in the area.
H. M.
This palace is fabulous for vegans and non-vegans alike who want to get their teeth in to some "meaty" alternatives. The seitan chicken parmigiana is one the best I've had (including those with actual chicken). And if "fake meats" aren't your thing, the vegetable dishes are great too. Only thing I maybe wouldn't totally recommend is the steak unless you reaaaaally like seitan. It was very good but it's a LOT of straight up seitan which can get a bit much after a while. Friendly staff, good beer selection and general pleasant surroundings. Will be going back for more v soon!
E.
The food tasted good but we waited some time for it. Unfortunately the deserts portions were very small and the afogato was full of coffee and lacked the ice-cream. The place was also freezing cold and despite our complaint and waiter suggestion to close the front door... it never happened.
V. C. P.
Great vegan food. Really like the ambiance and the stuff were lovely too
S. M.
Absolutely faultless. A stunning meal here with an entirely animal product free menu which some incredibly creative dishes that I cannot wait to go back and try more of, especially the mock fish dishes which is a nice touch considering the proximity to Leith docks and dishes that vegans don’t always find on restaurant menus. Would definitely recommend you check this place out if you want to try some awesome plant based food.
A. M.
Great take on making vegan food appeal to non-vegans! Amazing options (food and drink) and a lovely atmosphere (pub like). Would definitely come again!
S.
Amazing food, good portions, great value, good service. Some of the best comfort food in Edinburgh. The Mac and cheese and the Vietnamese fries are unbelievably delicious.
C. H.
The food was outstanding! Very reasonably priced and we didn’t have to wait long in between courses. The staff were very attentive and friendly, service was excellent.
C. C.
Couldn't rate the visit higher to be honest!
Despite being a bit early the staff still seated us and we were informed there may be a slight delay in food orders (fair enough we were early and it was busy)
All the staff were great but a special mention to our Server McKinley who was very attentive and recommended great dishes which were prepared brilliantly and drinks to compliment them. Absolutely above and beyond service which is why I felt the need to mention him in this review.
Also very fairly priced, only downside is I wish we could've stayed longer and had a few more drinks before our movie.
Will absolutely return and definitely recommend to others.
K. E.
First time here. I am not vegan and find it rather ridiculous that meals are referred to with 'meat' and references. I also hate any restaurant that allows dogs into the premises. The pizza was nice and very filling.
E. P.
The food here was excellent, it didn't really feel like being in a traditional vegan restaurant, more like a "normal" restaurant that just happens to be vegan.
I can thoroughly recommend the burgers!
Service was a little slow (Saturday lunchtime 13:30) otherwise would have been five star
A. H.
Fabulous Vegan food - the mushroom scallops were divine and lovely staff
o. t. i. e.
This was my first foray into vegan alternatives, and I have to say I was blown away by how good they were! Everything we had here was delicious in its own right but some of the items were genuinely just like their meat- or dairy-based counterparts, in particular the black pudding and the fish and chips. I especially enjoyed the Vietnamese chips, and the truffle burger was just exceptional! We didn't have anything to drink while we were there, but I have to say that some of the cocktails sounded really good, so I'd be keen to try them the next time I come back, and there will be a next time!
W. S.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and we had a very pleasant experience.
We felt that the mains portions could have been more generous. For example the haggis quesadilla could have come with nachos or even a side salad to the round off the dish.
N. J.
We had a lovely Christmas roast dinner here. Unfortunately they ran out of the gluten free roast but made up with extra veg. The service took a little long but the staff were friendly. The place looked very festive and cozy!
S. M.
The small plates and starters are amazing. My boyfriend and I went for the grilled lemon artichoke, scallops and corn. All of which was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The cocktail menu is great, all cocktails were made really well and delicious.
The mains were good as well, but would say the small plate selection is better. I had the battered no fish and chips, the chips were great, as was the batter; however if you get some banana blossom on its own it's quite bland- could do with some nori flakes. My partner had the pizza which was also great, couldn't fault it.
The staff were lovely, we were served by a tall guy with a pony, who had lived in Glasgow for a while. Fab service. We'll definitely be back.
R. C.
Service was friendly and helpful as always, and the food was excellent. Those hush puppies are so good, as is the philly cheesesteak pizza. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. They also have a very wide selection of drinks. The place has a lovely vibe and great music is always playing. One thing to bear in mind, is that the toilets are downstairs, via a one way system, so you have to walk through the basement to get to the other set of stairs after visiting the toilet, which will bring you up to beside the bar in the dining area.
I'd recommend this place to anyone, the food is delicious, it just so happens to be vegan, which is an awesome bonus.
E.
Christ on a bike. This place is epic. Had the oyster mushroom, cheddar and jalapeno balls, 'fish' and chips and the Truffle Shuffle burger. Every single things was incredible. We booked our next visit while we were still eating...
B. A.
Good restaurant with a decent menu, staff could be a bit more attentive.
H. C.
Wonderful food, great menu, good location - loved my time there! Inventive, satisfying dishes that you won't find anywhere else.
L. L.
Loved it here. Good vegan options, price totally acceptable and the service was awesome!
P. D.
Great tasty vegan food with gluten free options, very friendly attentive staff who are on hand to answer questions about ingredients, the chef is usually on hand to answer any query
T. J. (.
I'm not vegan but was very pleasantly surprised with the choice and taste of my meal.. Only downer was the milkshake.. Was £1.90 and came in a small carton.. Could so easily make amazing milkshakes with delicious oat milk in glasses that could woww.
C. S.
I honestly love this restaurant, its dog friendly too, i regularly travel from Haddington just to eat here, the no fish and chips i have with Vietnamese or truffle oil fries just to mix it up, they use banana blossom, and tartare sauce mushy peas the works, the menu is extensive and gives fledgling vegans ideas to go on with and try to replicate, but the prices here are so rediculously low you'd be better just reserving a table today,!! i would give them 10 star rating if i could, Dont change a thing, its perfect.
S. C.
We were looking for a dog friendly first and foremost, which this certainly is, vegan was a bonus for the vegetarians in the group. Food was delicious and filling. I had the 'fish and chips' (beer battered tofu, with lashings of chips, mushy peas and sourdough bread) - YUM. A great cocktail and other drink selection, and service was also great. Would absolutely return!
M. C.
After loads of research on vegan spots to eat harmonium came up a lot. We didn’t think we’d get time to visit but happened to walk past as of a lunch time and stopped in. I’m so glad we did. One of the best vegan restaurants we’ve eaten in. McKinley was an amazing server. Humorous, courteous, attentive and extremely good at his job. After some of his recommendations we had Thai crab fish cakes, scallops with black pudding and shared the fish n chips.
What a meal. The starters were beautifully presented but tasted so good. The fish n chips were incredible too. All rounded by a biscoff and caramel cheesecake (we only had because judging by the quality of the rest of the food - it would be good) which was incredible. The food was top notch and gutted we only got here on our last day. Top of the list on our next return to Edinburgh.
D. J. M.
Amazing. It's a vegan place and I am not vegan, but their food is bang tasty. Had mushroom scallops and the "truffle shuffle" burger and it was just so tasty. You can tell how good a place is by their chips. Their chips were perfect. You don't have to be vegan to eat here. You just have to enjoy food.
L. K.
Amazing as always! Great food, great drinks, wonderful service.
S. M.
Great vegan food. The best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had (including non-vegan macaroni and cheese). Good service. 100% recommended.
M.
The 1/4lb burger was fantastic. Cheese melted really well and tasted great. Would definitely recommend stopping in here for vegan food.
A.
Vegan food in Leith!
Great little place off the beaten track near Leith serving great vegan food! I especially recommend the pizzas, I've tried these before and they were great!
B. M.
Good food and nice place for the lunch but the staff could have been more welcoming
O. C.
Brilliant food, lovely atmosphere and the friendly staff managed to fit us in without a booking. We will definitely be back to try more if the menu. We had the banana blossom fish and chips, absolutely amazing!!
Looking forward to coming back
V. W.
Incredible food and lovely service at this amazing vegan restaurant. This was easily the best meal of our trip to Edinburgh! Try the mushroom 'scallops' and vegan black pudding, you won't be disappointed!! I highly recommend Harmonium.
C. H.
Amazing vegan restaurant near the Water of Leith. A varied menu, Harmonium offers pizza, burgers, sandwiches and pasta dishes, as well as starters and fantastic cocktails. I had the Caesar salad and the creamy kale pasta with truffle oil and smoked aubergine. The starter was great and the pasta was the best pasta dish I've had in a restaurant. Stylish space, friendly staff and incredible food and drinks - I cannot wait to visit again!
J. R.
Another vegan place. Good mac'n'cheese and great pudding too. Ate too much! 🤣
S. W.
Fantastic all-vegan food which was perfect for my first visit to Edinburgh. I didn’t know the area but this restaurant was highly rated - rightly so!
The food couldn’t be better and the service was incredibly useful and welcoming. When I visit the city again this will be my first stop!
J. M. (.
Amazing food. I had the scallops which were lovely. Can't recommend the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti enough. Massive plate of deliciousness. No photo as I wolfed it.
A. A.
Nice place to have drinks, food and a conversation that doesn't require shouting over loud music.
Waiting staff were nice and service was quick.
Food had a good variety with multiple starters, mains, burgers, pizzas and few desserts.
P.S. You do have to pay £5 per person when making the booking.
S. C.
I am not a vegan, my daughter is hence why we book to eat here. I wasn't to sure but thought I could give it a go.
To say the food was amazing is a massive understatement, I couldn't believe how tasty it all was. We will be visiting again in Summer when we are back in Edinburgh.
As must for everybody 👍👌
C. C.
Great little bar with some good and some mediocre snack options, but the main menu looked much better. Beware you can't order food from the stools!
M. M.
Always brilliant service and some of the best vegan food I've had before. The first place I head whenever I go through to Edinburgh. Good beer and wine selection too!
C. v. S.
Lovely vegan restaurant with good beers in the bar and tasty sea-themed better-than-usual pub food. A fave.
M. J.
Loved it! Great, creative food, well seasoned with lots of flavour, would definitely go back.
C. G.
Really excellent food ! We had calamari, colliflower, scallops to start really good !! And scallop pasta with a slice pizza for mains , it was fantastic! We'd deffinatly go back if in the area again .
Y. P.
Had a lovely meal here with my partner. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and thoughtful.
r. s.
Great food, lovely cocktails and great service. Rustic tables and chairs but this all adds to the atmosphere
L. G.
Incredibly creative. Vegan take on British staples like Fish&Chips and Hagis (among others), delivered perfectly in a very chic-cosy interior. Kind staff. Make sure to try the scallops and the Biscoff cheesecake.
G. d. V.
BEST burger ever! I loved the place, the decoration downstairs and the food is incredible! The staff was also really nice. If I lived in Edimburgh I would go every week.
A. P.
Great place for vegans! It's definitely one of my top favorite vegan restaurants in Edinburgh so far. The food is really delicious and there is a variety of interesting dishes to choose from, with a few gluten free options available. The atmosphere is warm, romantic and relaxing, with friendly staff. I will definitely visit again soon.
G. M.
Have been to Harmonium a few times, love the Vegan food. Good choices on menu. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.
W. M.
Ive eaten in some fabulous vegan restaurants, this is not one of them.
P. T.
Delicious food, friendly staff, would recommend to anyone looking for a chill place to eat or drink :)
m. c.
Came here for drinks only but tried their 'Vietnamese-style' chips, which were excellent. I would certainly endorse their snacks and would like to try a bigger meal. I bought beers from Pilot and Leith breweries, both local. 'Leith Juice' has lots of body and a banana-ish background whilst Pilot's beer was crisper with more prominent hops. The site is a real sun trap. You can sit outside during the day It's a lovely place to be on a summer's day. Staff work hard so that you don't have to.
J. C.
The food is amazing but the service is slow. I was worth the waiting though.
T. L.
All the dishes were very tasty and delicious!!
O.
Great vegan food, decent beers too. There's not many cafe/restaurants out there with a decent beer selection. Prices are fair. Love the gender neutral bathrooms. Although I got my kill witnessing the sheer panic from some customers at the absence of of 'boy/girl' toilets. Great little place will definitely be back again.
D. R.
Vegan burger and chips was tremendous 🍔⭐️🌱
C. D.
Some of the best food I have ever had, in a lovely environment.
Word of warning though, service can be pretty slow at times but relax and enjoy a beer - the wait is worth it.
D. R.
A paradise for vegans and a great eye opener for non-vegans too. Harmonium should be applauded for their efforts to prove vegan food can be just as indulgent as animal-based choices (and a whole lot better for the planet). As a non-vegan, my comfort food cravings were fully satisfied. We need more places like this.
D. H.
I loved the food especially the cookie desert! 🥰
J. L.
Cool spot to have great vegan food and cocktails
K. M.
This is a fantastic place for vegans and non vegans alike. The food is lovely (real comfort food) and the cocktails are excellent. I went to Edinburgh for a week with my boyfriend and we loved Harmonium so much we had dinner there twice. I can't recommend it enough!
E. W.
Preferred the layout of the previous location however none the less food standard still great and delicious
L. S.
Very friendly staff and prompt service. Loved their new menu and am excited for any changes on future visits - always a must when in Edinburgh!
N. G.
I love their comfort food, though a bit heavy, it is a good treat occasionally. But it's not a place for health food, in the waiter's own words "we don't do healthy options here" lol. So you go there to indulge your senses, the food will definitely leave you feeling full. And it's delicious.
J. G.
We called in here when we were on holiday in Edinburgh. Menu is varied and offers a good range of different options. Being a completely plant based restaurant it was good to be able to choose what we wanted without worrying about ingredients. We opted for two different burgers, both of which were delicious. We had a side of vegan mac and cheese, which was the best that we have tasted. Great place to eat, would definitely go again when we are back in Edinburgh again.
K. Y.
Amazing, amazing food. I'm not vegan but EVERYTHING I ate was fantastic. The servers were wonderful. The only disappointment was that they'd sold out of two things we wished to order, but the replacements were awesome. Will be back when we're next up that way!
K.
Delicious and innovative plant based food in (sunny) Leith!!
D. D.
I cannot rate this amazing place highly enough, the food was fantastic.i had a great chocolate mousse. The oyster mushroom scallops were delightful.
L. M.
Nice vegan meal, very reasonably priced as large portion sizes!! Quite busy the evening we were there, advise booking. Attentive staff, food cooked to order. We will definitely go back.
S.
Forget that it's all vegan, enjoy the meal, and then remember it was all vegan. This place is much needed in our lives. Rigatoni, just saying...
A. L.
Best vegan pizza I've ever had. Generally up there with the best pizzas vegan or not. The cheese was actually gooey and delicious. My brother got chicken parmesan (vegan), which was also a delight. Definitely will come back if I'm in Edinburgh again!

The best vegan dining experience I’ve ever had - beats anything I’ve had in four years of living and working in London! Extensive and well-curated drinks menu, lovely atmosphere and decor, and the food is just incredible. I cannot recommend Harmonium highly enough - just go!
B. S.
Great restaurant that will please vegans and non-vegans alike. I got taken there by a couple of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the variety of the dishes on the menu (which do not over-advertise the fact everything is dairy/animal-free which is a clever move).
Affordable menu and drinks which I believe are roughly the same that used to be on offer when V-Deep occupied the premises, at least for the beers on tap.
Definitely a must try if living/working/passing by in the area. Wishing them the best of luck.
M.
In a city which offers so many vegan eateries it's hard to choose a favourite.
But Harmonium is probably my favourite.
THE best vegan soul food you will find in Edinburgh.
Would 100% recommend the 'chicken burger' and the mushroom scallops.
J. G.
Not at all a vegan here - I was a bit skeptical when my wife took me here. But it blew me away. The food was incredibly tasty, with excellent portions and great prices. I ordered the peanut noodle dish; It was filling, and I walked away feeling great. Additionally, my wife is not only vegan, but soy-free as well (for allergy reasons), and she was able to choose between plenty of options as well - a tough ask, historically. Over all, I was extremely impressed with this spot, and it had me rethinking vegan food. I'd be a regular if I lived in town. Mission accomplished, Harmonium.
A. B.
Good food. Good atmosphere. I actually knew some of the songs. Friendly staff, excellent selection for vegans. Socially conscious too. My bill had an incorrect item, but it was corrected without any hassle. Definitely check it out!
P. W.
A great flavour experience at Harmonium. The starter menu has a three-for-£13 offering which allows for an exploration of flavours and textures and makes for a very enjoyable lunch. Pair these offerings with a cocktail, such as cigarettes and coffee, and then half a pint of real ale for a thoroughly satisfying experience. The food on offer won't be found anywhere else, which makes the Harmonium a great culinary destination.
M. f.
I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian. But out of interest I went with my wife to see what was on offer. I have to say that this place delivers a great eating experience regardless of your dietary requirements or preferences. I have been twice now and have enjoyed each visit. Good beer and a badass cocktail selection. Well worth a visit.
L. L.
I have eaten at vegan restaurants all over the world, and this was by far one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of trying. The traditional pub environment was really nice, and the food still had a local flavor and global cuisine as well. Service was great and accommodating to a large party. Wish I could eat there again soon!
L. G.
Phenomenal experience. Very trendy, intimate vibes and amazing menu. Everything is vegan and labeled for soy, and gluten and nuts. I had the Lo Scozzese pizza and it was perfect! Highly recommend for a culinary experience that vegans and omnis alike will enjoy.
D. M.
Great vegan food and dog friendly. Small menu so after 6 or 7 visits I'm running out of options but what I have had has been good except the crab cakes starter and thee fish and chips main course. They are the 2 things on the menu they should replace as they are the least tasty. Not alot of smiles from the staff. Found one or 2 of them to be a wee bit too cool for school but on the whole a good addition to Edinburghs emerging vegan restaurant scene.
F. S.
The best vegan restaurant I have tried so far. The cheeseburger really seems and tastes like a meat burger and it is all vegan. The staff is super friendly too.
R. P. G.
This place is just awesome. I'm mostly a carnivore and my girlfriend has persuaded me to try to adapt a vegan lifestyle, this place helps when craving such things as pizza or cheesecake! I swear I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between their pizzas and the real thing! Great selection of drinks too.
S. K. H.
Absolutely fabulous. We three (a meat eater, a vegetarian and a vegan) ate here while visiting Edinburgh. One of the best vegan restaurant meals any of us have had. And we travel all over the world. We had the spicy pizza, the scallops, the broccoli, the panko chicken, and the peanut noodles. Super delicious, inventive, and bursting with flavour.
E. M.
Wasn't sure what to expect as I'm not vegan, but love trying new food. I have to say the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing and the food really impressed me. Also the prices are really reasonable and you definitely get dishes you couldnt easily make at home. Look forward to coming back again soon!
M. N.
Quite possibly the best vegan meal I have ever had. Went the full mile and got an appetizer, main, and dessert and they were all perfect. A meal that I'll dream about for a long time! (PS I had a king oyster mushroom 'scallop' appetizer, and a creamy kale pasta with truffle oil)
R. J.
The best vegan restaurant I've eaten in... and there has been a few. I went with my family (non vegans) and they enjoyed every element of the meal too! The selection, atmosphere and staff were all top notch and looking forward to my next visit
D. G.
Utterly remarkable restaurant. Tonights meal ranks as the most unexpected and best I have experienced this year and to be clear I've eaten in two Michelin Starred restaurants within the past couple of months! King Oyster Mushroom Scallops as a starter, which was delicious and an incredible Harmonium YLT Chicken burger for main. If I had walked in off the street and ordered I would have been none the wiser that this is a vegan restaurant, not a bit of meat or fish in sight. My wife loved her lentil and truffle pate starter followed by chicken parmigiana. Great food and great wine. A fantastic introduction to the scope and delights of vegan dishes. As a confirmed "curious" meat eater this menu blew me away. Brilliant guys, hope you continue to grow from strength to strength, chalk up another convert, be back soon.
J. S.
All of the food we had was delicious, and there were plenty of good drink choices. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. I agree with reviews that say it is good for non vegans too.
S. S.
Delicious food, from soups, starters, main courses and desserts, everything was fabulous. Congrats to the Chef and team. Superb. Great spot for vegan people to chill out with like minded people knowing that everything served there is free from animals, guilt free and ethical!
E. F.
Very delicious. My menu highlight was the artichokes and haggis quesa but all was good
H. M.
Nice atmosphere, really friendly staff, great food.
Lovely place with a proper pub vibe (the nice kind). Typical pub menu, only it was all vegan! We both had the macaroni cheese (which was my favourite dish before going vegan) and it was gorgeous. My omni partner declared that if he hadn't known, he wouldn't have been able to tell it wasn't dairy cheese! My garlic bread was tasty and a little different, being made with a huge slab of sourdough instead of the normal baguette, and his chips were just the right amount of crispy. The desert menu was a little small and while tasty I wasn't convinced of the value in comparison to the mains. Though maybe that was just because they didn't have the chocolate cake I was craving.
R. E. S. S.
Yes there is a lot of choice for a fully vegan place, but oh wow, the food (only had two dishes so far) was the most scrumptious thing I have had in a long time. Well presented in an airy setting. Cannot recommend enough.
M. W.
I'm not vegan so hard to rate but food and service were delicious so I guess its good!
A. L.
Loved the food here. It's a perfect mix of casual and indulgent. All of the menu items (including the extensive cocktail list!) are very thoughtful. I recommend the 'chicken' parmesan! A native sitting at the bar next to me opined that its the best food in Leith
G. S.
6 stars! Exceptional food (no-fish and chips especially), great prices, fab service, well stocked bar.
R. C.
I enjoyed my experience from the second I walked through the doors.
A cool and relaxed restaurant as expected with most vegan restaurants.
My burger with cheese and jalapeños was out of this world.
My daughter and her friend Maggie, had several delicious dishes I tried including the artichokes and the cheesecake was to die for!!!
Thanks guys and hope one day you open a branch in London.
A. N.
A great vegan place with a decent bar. Me and my friends couldn't stop trying each other's dishes, everything was delicious!
Heartily recommend this place, I will definitely come back again. :)
A. G.
Food was amazing staff were lovely. The menu was a bit confusing at times as it used the names of meats but didn't explain that it was a vegetarian/vegan version. Other than that it was a very good experience!
S. M.
Food was wonderful (I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but my friend is vegetarian)! I can highly recommend the crab cake! It was packed (Wednesday night) - we had booked a table online. Service was friendly, though due to the busy-ness was a little slow when trying to order extra drinks etc. Would definitely go again and would recommend it to herbivores and carnivores alike!
T. P. P. P.
The most exciting vegan food in Edinburgh; all their dishes are wonderfully experimental recreations if classic non-vegan dishes, except even more delicious. My carne friends ASK to go there, it’s become their favourite place to eat. Thank you so much for the incredible food!
J. E.
Can't fault the food however we arrived as brunch service was coming to an end and lunch service was starting and we had to wait over an hour for our food. The service was a little abrupt as well. However, if you're looking for vey tasty vegan food then highly recommend!
H.
I loved Harmonium so much that a lot of other food I’ve eaten since has come off worse! A really cosy wee place with friendly staff and a fully vegan menu. It was a bit boggling- I wanted to eat everything! I had the pho which was really good, loved the seitan. The star was the sweet spring rolls- apple and cinnamon and so good. Both cocktails I had were lovely and overall just a super experience.
A. S.
Delicious food and cocktails with OUTSTANDING service! We rocked up without a reservations and were seated and served within 10 minutes during the festival when we had messed up and left not enough time to eat and get to a show in town. Thanks to these guys, we managed both. And it was fab veg goodness too.
D. R. M.
Very good food! I was a frequent meat eater until start of the year , I now only eat vegetarian food at home mostly for the planet and then for the poor mistreatmentof our beautiful little animals . I was so wanting a cooked breakfast but I settled for the faux chicken and waffles.....it satisfied my meat craving! It made me think I could stay vegetarian without needing to forfill my meat urge. ( I am dyslexic but hope you understand)
D. F.
Brilliant food and service every time! Made for a happier birthday for me 😊
P. N.
Really nice meal here. Food was delicious, though menu a little confusing since it's a vegan place but menu references multiple meats and fishes. Idea is that it's a vegan take on those foods. Everything I've tried is really tasty though.
K. B.
I want to say I love this. I’ve been twice now. EVERYONE I know says they love this place. I REALLY didn’t enjoy the first time but was so convinced by people saying it must’ve been a bad day that I went back. Second time was better but still not amazing. I think there are specific things on the menu that are really good ie a couple of the pizzas, the ‘scallops’ and the tofish but I just found everything else a bit...weird? I’ve been to other vegan places with lots of animal product replacements but it’s just missing the mark here even though I know the person that made the menu for this made the menu for one of my favourite eats ins...so yeah sorry 🙈
J. C.
Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic classic burger and fries! Definitely recommend this place and the ginger beer is delicious :0)
L. F.
I'm not a vegan but went here with my daughter-in-law who is. I was fairly impressed by their menu and the food was great which I wasn't expecting. Vegan or no it's a nice place to eat and drink.
K. P.
I love going here for lunch (deal Mon-Thu), and the food is always delicious! The mac and cheese is pretty much perfect every time I go! Could do with some cushions on seats though, especially if they want us to stay and spend money longer!!
H. C.
Venue was nice but the Christmas meals were very plain in taste.
A. R.
This is an amazing place to go and eat and has the added benefit of being purely vegan and so would very much recommend it to eat
R. J.
Good vegan food, good prices. Portions are on the smaller side so if you are a big eater then make sure you order a starter, small, middle and dessert.
Decor looked good, get a view of the chefs in the kitchen. Downstairs and toilet still needing overhauled, I assume that's coming in the near future.
L.
Not being vegetarian or vegan I was unsure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Staff were really nice and the food was very tasty. Some clever vegan tricks were pulled to convince me that my mac and cheese actually had cheese in it.
B. H.
Just has a lovely evening with three friends at Harmonium. One is vegan and the rest of us are not and quite frankly a little sceptical about eating at an all vegan restaurant. With the first bite of my VERDURA MEDITERRANEA pizza i was no longer sceptical about vegan food and i was singing the praises of the chef. Each of us chose different dishes and we were quickly sharing to find out who had the best dish (I believe i won). Dessert was the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream AND the pineapple upside down cake. We shared each dessert oohing and aching over each morsel. This was truly an impressive meal from the friendly server to the laid back atmosphere. This is a ‘not to be missed’ stop for anyones visit to Edinburgh Vegan or not.

Finally Leith got its own 100% vegan restaurant!!! Food is really nice, everything made from scratch, even their own vegan mayo! Bit pricey tho and reservation may be required but the atmosphere and service is really nice and friendly. Definitely recommend their version (of course 100% vegan) of 'White Russian' drink, yum!!
I. M.
Too notch veggie fare, enjoyed their peanut sauce brown rice noodles quite a bit, as well as a decadent chocolate fudge cake. Really high quality of food preparation, exceeded only by excellent service.
Z. K.
This is so far the tastiest place I've been in the UK. You think the dishes in UK are boring? Not in this little hidden (and very beautiful) gem. Everything we had was delicious af even the omnivores said it was the tastiest food they had in Edinburgh.
M. B.
Great food every time we visit. Burgers and pizza are amongst my favourites, as is the mac n cheese. My wife adores the ToFish supper.
The waiting staff are always friendly and chatty.
We try to pay a visit here every so often and it's worth the 10 mile drive to Leith just for the food, but the ambience of the place makes it even better.
They even allow well behaved dogs also, which is a huge bonus too.
Keep up the good work.
K. S.
One of the best vegan mac and cheese dishes I've ever had and a very good affogato for dessert. Good adherence to social distancing and good overall atmosphere
M. I.
It was our first visit to Harmonium and im delighted! The atmosphere was really laid back and friendly. The (all vegan)food was divine. Im sure even fussy cranky meat eaters would love it. The chef is a genius. Good size portions which was nice too. I was driving so didnt get to try any of the great selection of spirits.....so I have to return. It would be rude not to!
S. D.
Loved the food. Took a non vegan there and she loved it.
_. _.
I'm loving this place. I wish I'd found it sooner as it's my last day in Edinburgh. I had the filet o' to-fish burger and what a meal it was!!! The food is amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. Can't wait to head back already!
R. F.
Always great. The new location suits this vegan gem. Kind and friendly service, unbelievable menu and good range of drinks.
B. S.
Great vegan food! We were craving vegetables and Harmonium didn't hold back. Loved the artichoke appetizer! They cut the artichokes in a way that resembled chicken drumettes - so clever.
T. T.
First Vegan resturant. I love my meat but this place showed me not everything that tastes good has to breath first. Loved it. Great taste, ambiance and staff.
S. T.
Incredible vg food, drinks were top notch and staff all super lovely. Can't recommend enough!
H. A.
This is a really nice place to have a tasty meal and chilled chat. Had the No-Fish and Chips which was really yummy! Staff were friendly although was urged to leave towards the end by a member of staff and it was not a pleasant feeling thinking I overstayed my welcome but other than that I really enjoyed my time there.
P. S.
Okay, so we didn't realise this place was all vegan until we received our food (d'oh) but that wasn't really an issue here. The food itself was a wee bit hit and miss. On one hand, the smoked tofu banh mi was delicious, spicy and really satisfying and the macaroni cheese was nice and creamy (if a little bland) but on the other hand, the funghi pizza was oily and had a weird bitter aftertaste and the vegan burger was dry and very bland. Another problem was the service. The staff weren't very enthusiastic or attentive. We felt like we were bothering them when we asked to order drinks and we mostly just went to the bar to get our own. The main issue was that we waited almost an hour for our food to arrive and when it came it wasn't totally worth the wait. I can see the need for a place like this in Leith and I would go back for the banh mi but the service needs to jump up several levels to compete with other places nearby that have vegetarian/vegan options on their menus.
C. H.
A birthday treat for my Vegan partner. As a carnivore, at best flexitarian, I find it difficult to judge vegan-only places but Harmonium was a very well done restaurant despite its self imposed restrictions on the menu.
The atmosphere was modern, cosy and welcoming for two visitors to the city, and very accommodating of my severe nut allergy.
I would have liked one or two options not built around the 'meat replacements' on the main menu section; but I opted for the chicken-style burger which was fairly authentic, and the fries and salad accompaniment were excellent.
My partner had the 'chicken' Parm, which she devoured with glee. Harmonium could give many traditional restaurants a run for their money. Drinks were also excellent with a full cocktail menu and some.interesting bottled, canned and draught beer selection.
N. B.
Gorgeous food, well presented and really helpful waitress.
Not keen on the decor, feels cold and utilitarian.
It said to me you're in a vegan restaurant and you've got to suffer to enjoy this food!!
N. B.
Great food and friendly staff
M. S.
Very nice bar with delicious vegan bar food like burgers, no-fish and chips, mac n cheese, and pizza
F. M.
Excellent food and I'm NOT a vegetarian. I am recommending this to anyone who likes good food. Good wine and good cocktails too. I've been there, seen there and done there and I'll be back.
R. K.
We stumbled across this lovely place whilst wandering around Leith. The food was excellent and the service was great. Our waiter was there when needed, but not intrusive, and our drinks were lovely, and brought to the table promptly. It was very refreshing to find a place I could order anything off the menu, and know it suited my dietary requirements.
G. G.
I had a great pleasure in my first day in. But, when I came back I asked for a To-fish and I came back home disappointed. Cold, oily and soft chips, "tofufish" boring and very oily. No salt. No flavor. Did I mentioned oily? Sorry guys, I really think you should reconsider this dish on the menu, or improve it! I loved all the things I had a day after!! I will come back for sure!
A. T.
Very nice vibe, all vegan food.
K. M.
By far , it's one of my favourite vegan places in Edinburgh. The food tastes amazing and the staff is super nice ☺️ I've been many times and will definitely come back!
K. H. T.
Service really bad. We waited 30mins for a starter of broccoli. The mains were just as slow... not great at all. Which is a shame as it was not that busy! However the food was amazing very very tasty and we were given free drinks to compensate us for the wait.
R. B.
Best vegan food I've ever had. Burger taste exactly like meat. Plus great service friendly staff.
J. N.
Fabulous meal can't believe it's all vegan. Best I've had, would highly recommend this place. Friendly helpful staff and no rush to usher you out.
T. S.
Wow! What an absolute gem of a restaurant. Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere Best vegan food I've ever had in Edinburgh. I will definitely come back.
J. R.
Delicious food & cocktaila, great place and good vibes. Friendly staff.
S. D.
It was pleasant walking around in Edinburgh
L. M.
The BEST vegan menu Ive tried so far, and pretty decent service also. Please try the oyster mushroom scallops! Will come back!
B. A.
"All drinks and food contain no animal produce" is quite simply the best statement any Vegan/Vegetarian can hear or read while out for food and drinks. Sadly though, many of us dining out have to often contend with either the classic dilemma "well, I can have that so long as I ask for it without that" or even the ever helpful friend or relative announcing "He/She's a Vegan you know!";cue fussy eater awkwardness. Relax, none of that nonsense is to be found here. Just a great food menu, including desserts (I know right?) and loads of drinks to choose from too. What are you waiting for?
s. r.
Really good food. Best vegan burger I've had. Mushroom scallops were great too. Only downside was kinda slow service.
B. M.
Vegan restaurant in Leith.
My daughter had a very good non fish made of banana flowers in batter.
My partner and I are I had some delicious soup and some chips with chilli.
There is a good selection of drinks.
J. Z.
Newly crowned best vegan restaurant in Edinburgh - the Tofu fillet o'fish is a million miles better than the dish it purports to ape, and I say that as a non vegetarian. Better for a light lunch than a major blowout though.
R. S.
Amazing selection of vegan dishes. Specifically enjoyed the seafood inspired items, as they are more challenging to find elsewhere. Friendly staff and lovely building.
Q. M.
amazing restaurant, food was perfect, good for plant eaters and omnivores alike, the food is all plant based and you couldn't tell the difference between the real thing. and service and staff were great
S. H.
Lovely food, shame Harmonium feels it has to hide some menu choices behind meat ingredient names. Showcase your vegetable ingredients because they are amazing.
T. W.
As a vegetarian of 30 years I was amazed how good this place was. No hint of brown gloop on a menu which made me salivate just reading it. Well curated selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Recommended for foodies of all persuasions.
W. B.
Really good vegan food! Varied menu, with local foods and beers where possible. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Going back for sure!
W. M.
Wow, what a place, food is so good I didn't notice or care there wasn't any meat. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely staff too. Oh, and the bloody Mary's are top notch.
A. B.
Great vegan restaurant, friendly staff, amazing food and excellent drink options
S. B.
Great food, was very annoyed at a 20% service charge because we were in a large group. As a whole we tend to tip more than fairly but a mandatory charge for bringing a large amount of custom to a business was a bit irritating
J. B.
One of the best meals I've ever had. The mushroom scallops are amazing. Great selection of beers and cocktails too.
P. K.
We visited edinburgh to see my sister and her family and my sister found this place as my wife is vegan, I had the vegan burger which is one of if not the nicest burgers I have ever had, we also left our bag there but just a quick call and they found it for us and held it until we could return.
C. Z.
Absolutely delicious and exciting food, excellent cocktails, and wonderful service from awesome staff. The decoration and vibe is so nice too, beautiful wooden tables and plants and generally just lovely. Thank you so much! 😄
T. M.
Best Vegan restaurant I've been too. Burger and pizzas are amazing and best pint of Heineken You Can get almost anywhere. Healthier options available.
J. L.
Amazing food and staff member McKinley was super helpful with recommendations and great service, really friendly 😁
H. G.
As usual, Harmonium didn't disappoint. The food was excellent as was the service. All you could wish for after a good theatre performance to let the day end on a very pleasant note.
T. R.
Great selection of vegan food; pizza, noodles and salads were great. The service was excellent, and walking around the pier after dinner was also great.
J. N.
Absolutely fabulous if I could award 10 stars they would have them staff food atmosphere amazing well done xxxx
L. M.
Just fabulous. Great vegan food. Good GF options. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Superb deserts. Highly recommended. Good one guys!
M. K.
Really great vegan food and atmosphere. Thank you
B. W.
Fabulous vegan food in a relaxed atmosphere. Not trying too hard and focussing on the food bringing top results. We ate everything we ordered.
J. D.
just, thank you for letting the world know how vegan food can be so perfect! a pure pleasure, great service, beautiful place, i can only recommend! :-)
b. p.
As a meat eater, I thought I'd give it a go. The food is very good, not the best but very good for Edinburgh. Drinks are cheap, the venue is great and the staff are efficient and friendly
G. K.
Went there for lunch and had a quarter pounder with chips for 6.50. Best vegan burger I ever had. Homemade mayo too.
Waitress was lovely too.
L. N.
The food was incredibly delicious, but the service was incredibly slow. The staff didn't seem to be concerned with how long we had to wait for our food. The atmosphere seemed a bit snobby, but over all the food wins.
F. F. x.
Great vegan food and a laid back atmosphere to go with it.
My friend has been recommending the place for ages and am glad I finally went.
W. R.
Varied and interesting selection of food. My burger (the 'Chicken YLT'), although it was delicious, was a bit scanty on fries. Lovely selection of beers too.
G. F.
Really impressed with the new venue and food was lovely. Have to say, visited Tuesday 12/10 and the staff were fantastic, absolutely amazing service
J. E.
Good range of vegan alternatives to classic dishes such as burgers, pizza, calamari etc. Service was slow and food a bit too salty, but good atmosphere and well worth a visit.
A. G.
Best vegan food in Edinburgh and great cocktails!
D. U.
Delicious food, reasonable prices and lovely staff and atmosphere.
M. L.
Food, service and beers were amazing!

Harmonium is great for a chilled vegan meal and drink
D. Q.
Very reasonably priced, good food, didn't occur to me that it was vegan until afterwards. Comfortable atmosphere.
M. R.
Lovely vegan pub. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, excellent menu mixing traditional standards with more exciting, modern vegan options.

K. T.
The best Scottish vegan breakfast.
J.
Great vegan food. Highly recommend, nice place for family or friends. Very dynamic and imaginative menu
C. M.
The burger is life changing. I eat meat and I didn't think a vegan cheeseburger that satisfies could exist but I stand corrected. Worth a trip!
A. L.
I went here with my partner and have to say that the food was some of the best I've ever had! Amazing atmosphere and decor also.
A. S.
Excellent food & Prices, Great Service, lovely place

Lovely venue, nice staff but didn't really enjoy the food.
P. R.
Amazing food. A real treat regardless of you being vegan or not. Seitan burger with nduja salami was fantastic.

Brilliant service, food and drinks. We had 4 different drinks, 2 entrees, 2 mains and 1 dessert and they were all spot on! !!
E. E.
Really good food. Very reasonably priced, would highly recommend!
M. A.
Tasty food at a fairly reasonable price. I misread and didn't understand the menu was wholly vegetarian, this didn't spoil my enjoyment and the service was great. Highly recommended.
J. M.
So good to go to a Restaurant and it’s all vegan. Food is absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back .
C.
Wonderful food, friendly staff, great drinks. Very busy, book advance or you're likely to get turned down
A. W.
Delicious food, (even for non vegans!), good beer and service. Pizza dough is excellent!

J. S.
Pleasant, helpful staff and excellent vegan food.
N. W.
I am a non drinking omnivore, who found this vegan pub very friendly with excellent food. Perfect for our small staff lunch
G. A.
Fantastic freshly produced vegan food - but don't think of it as vegan - it's just food, done really well.
R.
The best vegan food you will ever taste. The surf and turf is the greatest
R. B.
Superb vegan food, excellent cocktails and friendly, welcoming service. Highly recommended.
M. A.
Like the food here but service was mostly lacklustre (we had a male waiter who was great). Our booking couldn't be found & it was sorted out but we found the service unfriendly.
S. C.
Absolutely love this place. Such an amazing range of vegan food, great atmosphere lovely place to visit!
M. S.
Possibly the best vegan restaurant I've been to (and I have been vegan for well over a decade). Highly recommended.
M. G.
Food seems simple, but each dish has clearly been well thought through - beautiful food and hipster atmosphere (as you'd expect)
S.
It was my first meal in Edinburgh which left me speechless. Awesome food served by lovely people! A MUST TRY!
J. O.
Good vegan menu and could friendly
