D. A.Good venue for a pint and a gig. Small, rough place, that's exactly what you need on Friday's night!
I. N.An nice underground pub with hippie atmosphere and live music. Staff was young and cheerful. They might charge you for an entry if there any gig or concert is on. Place is wee bit small but decent enough. Washroom were clean and odourless.
B. B.I was in a good party last Friday in Henry's, it seems a small friendly place, as long as my friend wanted a last drink, which is ended up that the security guy put her out in a very aggressive way. ( she is not more than 5.2 foot) She was not doing anything that she deserved that.
The place is nice but that security guy maybe needs some words. He was pushing, pulling almost kicking her out from the bar very irresponsible.
K. S.Cool spot with quite a unique scene for open mic night (Monday). Bar is dimly lit with pretty casual vibes. Bartender was friendly while serving delicious beer. No complaints.
M. E.Best bar in Edinburgh, specially for a monday, when they have open mic night and sometimes some amazing artists perform. If you are looking for something posh this is not your place, if you are looking for a cool weird vibe then this is your best choice.
L. A.It's a total dive, but it all works. The open mike night is as random as you could expect. On the same night we had a surly accordian musician, some German poetry, Schubert, beatboxing, a local band, and a keyboard/cello duet playing hypnotic electronic music. Awesome.

P. o. M.I only had the one night in Edinburgh, I'm glad I spent it here. Monday night open-mic. Friendly, a bit dank and musty, dog wandering around. Cheap beer. Perfect.
j.It was amazing for music, live bands were phenomenal, but some of the staff were friendly, others were not...rude in fact. Great venue for music, not great customer service.

K. C.Sweaty little basement bar, and all sort of achingly RAWK. Henrys showcases an ever-revolving roster of live music - mostly local bands - with plenty of dirty rock'n'roll and alternative bands. They frequently do theme nights and host spoken word and comedy as well. It's everything you'd want from a basement bar - murky, low-fi, and kind of sticky, with cheap and rough booze on sale. There's a lot of heart and soul at Henrys, and the punters there are usually enthusiastic, friendly, and fanatic. It's just ace.

M. v.Henrys Cellar is definitely not for everybody. It is however, a real important space for Edinburgh's new bands and acts.
It's a basement bar that hosts some gigs and club nights with a very lo-fi approach, but nonetheless, professionally. I'd go as far to say Henrys is to Edinburgh what the 13th Note is to Glasgow. DIY is key over there and you'd need to watch the listings and see what takes your fancy to make a visit. Pretty good place to go and support your local scene.

Simpatico locale con una bella atmosfera. Per Halloween ho passato una serata diversa, bella musica, gente aperta e di varie età. Si balla in allegria e si facilmente amicizia, con un buon bicchiere di birra in mano. Mi sono proprio divertita!
M. B.(Translated) A curious bar. A small dancefloor offers the possibility to dance. I was there for the Rocksteady Event. The DJ uses old illustrious technique. The mood was good. Toilets were absolutely unacceptable. So if you want to have a nice evening here is wrong, because the bar was not so inviting. But if you want to see a messed-up small club and the music likes, is here for little admission (5 pounds I paid) well advised.

Eine kuriose Bar. Eine kleiner Dancefloor bietet Möglichkeit zum Tanz. Ich war zum Rocksteady Event dort. Der DJ nutze alte illustre Technik. Die Stimmung war gut. Toiletten waren absolut inakzeptabel. Wer daher einen netten Abend haben möchte ist hier falsch, da auch die Bar nicht derartig einladend war. Wer aber eine verkorksten kleinen Club sehen möchte und die entsprechende Musik mag, ist hier für wenig Eintritt (5 Pfund bezahlte ich) gut beraten.
