Had the best night at the quiz night in Planet. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere, excellent entertainment. Highly recommend ☺️

Visited for work and also caught up with some mates on a visit to Edinburgh. I am a London lad (formerly of budapest) long time London......cannot believe I walked into this place and felt at home. I loved the warm fun friendly welcome from the staff. How can I forget this... I never will they had my favourite soft drink on tap.... this obviously goes with vodka and sometimes can give you wings!!! Miles ahead of London. Thank you, thank you and thank you xxxx

Although it wasn't open as a club during my time in Edinburgh, there was still a great atmosphere while it functioned as a bar, with friendly staff and other customers, as well as delicious cocktails (that are a bit on the more expensive side)

Absolutely love Planet Bar Great staff , lovely atmosphere. A nice safe environment. Planet is great for a nice quiet drink during the day and also for a right good night out in te evening. Would highly recommend for anyone when in Edinburgh 😁

Cant wait to get back to Planet for a great meal. The staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to provide amazing service. The DJ's are always happy to take requests and theres nowhere else id rather go on a Friday night with the fabulous drag shows

Superb Sunday Lunch! We were very impressed with the menu choices and the food quality. Very good value for money with huge portions!! Service was excellent and Johnboy and his team were very attentive. The social distancing measures in place are well thought out, everything spotless, hand sanitizer available throughout and well spaced out tables. A great selection of cocktails, gins and lots of fizz available and not expensive! Would definitely recommend!!

Was in on Friday night and the place was full with everyone having a great time. I was really impressed by the décor it has all been done up and open plan now with comfortable booths, really nicely done and great entertainment and music. The drinks are very reasonable with a great selection of shots and cocktails. The owner John-Boy was as always his charming self; chatting and having fun with the customers, the way it should be.

Planet Bar is excellent for a drink or maybe more. It's my second time here but the Barkeeper still knows my favorite drink (Gin Bull). They never heard about it but are now professionals in mixing it. 😊 The interior is like a combination of Scottish pub and playground. You have little games on the tables to spend times with your friends. If you got a chance to join the happenings in here just go for it. The stage in the back is always in use for sth. like karaoke or the national Drag Superstars. Love it here. Thanks for all and see you soon again😘 Your german admirer Max

Just had brunch from the brand new well priced food offering. The menus is diverse and have a vegetarian option. I had build your own eggs benedict with bacon and avocado. The other half had haggis balls with irn bru sauce and chicken wings with Coca-Cola sauce. All three dishes were phenomenal and would highly recommend.

Wow! What a bar! These guys couldn’t do enough for me and my 13 friends! They really made us feel welcome! Accommodated us on the Hen Party, gave us free prosecco and even looked after a pair of heels as we continued our night! Would definitely go back!!

The best cocktail of our city bar!👍 Unique atmosphere and great bartenders There is a little trick to get a free cocktail and a separate room for 2 hours, you need to register for 909gay,com 👍and give the bartender a profile number. The drain should work👍

Had a nice end to an evening out in Edinburgh here. Didn't actually know it was a GLBT-bar when I entered, but that didn't matter at all: had a great time and met some very friendly people. Perfect place to go to and leave all your worries on the doorstep.

Visited this bar on a day trip whilst on holiday in Blackpool. Never been to Scotland before and was lucky to visit this bar first. I didn't visit any others as there was no need! The owner manger was so friendly as were all the staff. HIGHLY recommended!

Best in Edinburgh since covid and before the prices have increased dramatically!! I.E for example a double vodka and cola is now £4.80 where other places are cheaper! Tennants £4.10 for a pint! But, saying that friendly staff make you welcome. Drag acts on Friday night and various entertainment during the week! (Before covid happend hopefully soon be back to normal!! Cheapest bar in Edinburgh's gay scene and never fails to provide tacky lights, cheesy music and an all round camp fun. The service is great, I have never had to stand at the bar for too long, and the selection of drinks is decent for being a small pub. They always have drinks promos on and during the week the drinks are particularly cheap. The DJ often talks a bit too much and the music is almost always chart music with gay classics like Cher and Madonna thrown in. Not to everyone's tastes but great place for the start of a night on Edinburgh's gay scene.

Possibility of playing some board games .... Clean toilets .... Correct price 5 pounds two lemonades and peanuts. (Original) Bar gay mais pas franchement hétéro friendly.... Service correct sans plus.... Déco intérieure bof bof.... Préférez la terrasse bien plus vivante.... Playlist sympa... Possibilité de jouer à quelques jeux de société.... Toilettes propres.... Tarif correct 5 livres deux limonades et des cacahuètes.
