Reviews of Shakespeare

We tried Big Fish & Chips, it was very large and i couldn't even finish 1 piece. It tasted good but not the best.
Also we tried the half roasted chicken. It was also not the best as the chicken was not juicy. Need to be a bit marinated.
But the place looked good. Staff were friendly somehow.

Great service in the middle of the city!!
This pub has wonderful food, especially the wings!! They were kind enough to let us hang out for a few hours with our luggage as we waited for our train. Good selections of beer and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely would recommend!

Nice place. Ordered food from an extensive menu with good choices.
And fantastic prices.
Waited quite a while for the food to arrive
But it was worth the wait. Totally delish

Had lunch here with my family. Spent a fortune. Located right on the main drag of Lothian Road. Didn't have high expectations, but it was okay. Food was okay - nice fries particularly. Menu choices were severely restricted due to difficulty in getting supplies - fair enough - but the head man found it necessary to reel off ALL the things that were NOT available - and obviously expected us to memorise these before we could choose what we DID want. Just found that a bit strange and laborious. Anyway, we mostly got what we wanted alright. Another staff member was a bit more down to earth and chatty - although it took him a long while to deliver my latte. Facilities and general ambience were strictly average. It was conveniently situated from where we had been earlier, but I wouldn't make an effort to go back. Sorry!

I already reviewed this place on trip advisor but I had to compliment them over here also. Fantastic pub will definitely be back very soon! The lasagne is amazing

Staff were amazing very helpful, we came with a large group late and couldn't of asked for more friendly happy service. Lady with short hair and glasses really went above and beyond

Most enjoyable Mulled Wine. I had the Half roast Chicken and rosemary fries, very tasty.

Nice friendly staff, after a busy bank holiday weekend they'd run out of fish and pies and decided to stop serving food at 7:30. We saw nearly 30 people either leave after one drink or not stay at all. Only one cask ale left too. Seems like poor planning to me.
