Spry was incredible. Fantastically fresh and delicious tasting course with delightful wine pairings. Incredible service from the team who worked seamlessly, whilst being super friendly.

Don't usually write reviews but had to share about this amazing place. Wines were sometimes unusual but great. Food was excellent. Small plates well put together, the cicely ice cream was very special. Atmosphere was beautifully done, all round a top class dining out experience

Great selection of wines. Bit disappointed on the food side, but other than that it's a brilliant and cosy bar with a vibrant atmosphere. Will be back!

Beautiful new wine bar on Leith walk! Very relaxed with a homely vibe! If you are interested in natural and vegan wines this is the place! Best burrata since living in Italy... Oh and chocolate raisins with the bill...yes pls

Fantastic selection of organic, natural wines and brilliant small plates of food. The staff all know their stuff and it really shows! Absolutely worth a visit

Delicious homemade food and natural wines with very smart interior and attentive service. No complaints.

Went there last week, it was very busy (no table or bar spot left) and they still took time to make us try wines and give us recommendations. The wines are tasty and from all range of prices and the vegan mushroom pâté is very nice too!
Amazing service and great place, will come back!

Amazing addition to Leith Walk. Great wine, lovely little plates and excellent staff (so knowledge and friendly). Our new most visit place

Recommended by few friends and the manager at Noto (another place you should try), this is definitely the best wine place you can find.
Relaxed atmosphere, broad wine selection, great service, food is perfect.
This is the ultimate spot for treating yourself or go for a date.

Great staff and fantastic wine and menu. Room feels a bit sparse and echoey due to Covid regulations. But definitely a very affluent hipster venue - if you like that kind of thing.

Spry Wines is a favorite of ours. We discovered it shortly before Lockdown last year and since reopening for sit in, it has quickly become a favorite spot to catch up with friends and family. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the owners cannot do enough for you; always smiling and ensuring your time there is enjoyable. Spry Wines is a great spot for all occasions whether its to have a quiet relaxing time trying some new wines or catching up with some friends for a fun night. Oh and the chicken dumplings are an absolute vibe, delicious!

What an excellent place to spend a few hours. They really excelled in every way that they could. Run by a couple who are passionate, knowledgeable without the usual pretentiousness that many places with this standard of wine and food can sometimes have. They offer you a very unique experience and a journey of flavours with food and wine pairings that is by far my best experience in Edinburgh in the last 10 years. The food is unique, well thought out and expertly delivered. Similarly the wines are well sourced with many from small wine producers with amazing stories of who produces them and where. All the information delivered in a relaxed and informative way and he is patient and never once made us feel awkward if we asked more about wines that we didnt know about but instead educated us without judgement. So if you are looking for a high end culinary experience with warmth and unpretentiousness, this is the place for you. Plus, you can buy any of the wines you liked to take away. Well done guys!

An excellent natural wine restaurant with really nice eats and super nice service.

Rather plain premises, decent wines, not many seats. Not terribly cheery staff.

Without a doubt my go-to place for wine now, being a fan of fruity red wines personally, the staff here are very friendly and know exactly what wines are up your street. Never had a bad experience here in the few times visiting 🙌❤️

Great addition to the Edinburgh wine scene. Friendly and knowledgeable staff in a comfortable atmosphere where I am certain I'll be spending a great deal of time with friends imbibing. The wines are very fairly priced, and are all delicious and sourced from smaller producers spanning the old and new world, offered both for drinking-in (£10 corkage), and for take away. By the glass options are also offered, all of which are superb.

My wife and I went at (late) lunch time on their opening weekend and they were offering their retail wines corkage-free - who doesn't like an offer... ?
We chose one of their mid-range whites at £17. It was excellent value. But bear in mind that it's now £27 with the £10 a bottle corkage. Still reasonable value but I don't think I'd have left the Bar with quite such a wide smile at this price.
As to the food, there's a small selection of light bites. Everything we tried was at worst very good. The clams in particular were excellent but this was a "special".
They are also doing a single draught beer which will change from week-to-week. I didn't try the one they had on (a Manchester-brewed, Koln-style, I was told) but will do so o/r.
So, I'm giving 5 stars tentatively because everything was very enjoyable and the owners (staff?) were very welcoming and knowledgeable. A definite must-try and very welcome addition to the local eating/drinking scene. But I do wonder if that £10 corkage will put people off...
NB their "house" wine (red, white and rose, I think) were all £10, so £20 with the corkage.

A brilliant addition to the area. Spry brings forth an excellent selection of sustainable and natural wines, a range unlike any other in the capital, paired with a unique selection of light bites and a perfectly curated atmosphere. Being able to sit down and learn about a particular glass of wine from the knowledgeable and friendly staff, or being able to quickly buy a bottle on the go, Spry is a breath of fresh air to Edinburgh's wine scene.

Interesting wines by the glass. We didn't have any snacks this time but they were interesting and tasty last time we were here.
