Really nice atmosphere and great friendly staff. I just had a few drinks but will definitely be back to try the food. If you’re interested in eating I would highly recommend booking a table in advance as seating is limited. I saw a lot of people turning around as the hadn’t booked ahead, no fault of the staff so please be kind to them as they’re doing a great job. #scottishmadlad

Lovely place in the old town. The food is great, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The haggis is great and if you're after a decent snack, the loaded fries are to die for and are truly loaded.

We had a wonderful experience, the service exceeded our expectations we were a group of 4 two mothers and two teenagers, we celebrated our friends son 18th birthday 🎂 the waiter and waitress were very friendly and attentive I wish I took there names to thank them personally for such a wonderful night, the food was delicious, the live music the deserts we were overjoyed will definitely recommend, and will definitely re visit.

Went to visit The Piper's Rest while on holiday from London. There is a huge range of food and drinks which included many traditional Scottish dishes. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the cocktails were very yummy. I would definitely come here again when I come back to Edinburgh, highly recommend.

A nice pub to stop and have a drink in. Just located just off the Royal Mile in Hunters Square. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere. You could enjoy a drink inside or sit outside and watch the world go by

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The pipers Rest, the staff were very accommodating, it was like a home from home atmosphere, very warm, food was traditional and tasty, would highly recommend especially if your Visiting Edinburgh with your beloved Pet as our Pet dog was also allowed to enjoy this experience with us.

Came here twice during my trip. Good prices on food and drinks. Not the biggest selection of whisky but good bottles and the prices are better than the tourist traps that are around the corner. A good watering hole if you’re undecided on where to go and don’t live locally. As to food, I got the fish and chips and they were pretty decent given this wasn’t a specialty. My friends got burgers and they were hefty babies. Will be back for sure next time I’m visiting !!
