Loved this bar. The music was great, decor was really interesting and the lighting and atmosphere was cosy but lively at the same time and drinks were delicious. The drinks menu was extensive without being overwhelming and the ones we had were really good - Autumn Sour, Pumpkin Spice Latte Espresso Martini and the Marzipan Espresso Martini. Service was great, super friendly and attentive but our particular highlight was how helpful they were for vegans - they have a vegan coffee liqueur alternative to use in their espresso martini menu instead of the standard Kahlua, and the servers were really knowledgeable of their ingredients so could point out other alternatives for us. This was really appreciated as a lot of bars show either a lack of understanding or lack of interest when it comes to vegan alcohol so for this reason alone we’d rate it really highly. Add that to the great drinks, atmosphere and service and our whole time there was really enjoyable. Must visit if you’re in Edinburgh!

WOW!!! Dan and the crew are amazing!! Wonderful music/atmosphere and the drinks are AMAZING!! Top notch cocktails with great prices. We went to Raging Bull 4 of our 8 nights in Edinburgh and were very happy. Dan makes a PERFECT old fashioned with a toasted orange slice. The wife really enjoyed the Spice Boy. Yummmm!!!!

Must visit when in Edinburgh! Very quirky cocktail bar with a great vibe, super friendly, attentive and helpful staff (who know how to make a mean cocktail). The cocktails were creative and delicious and they had a good selection of whisk(e)y! Ask a server to help us pick the right dram and he knew his stuff and picked it perfectly! Incredible!

Nice place with lovely cocktails - Lychee Martini & Jamaican Me Crazy were the ones I tried. No food or snacks atm which would have been nice but there was a sign indicating that food was "coming soon." Being on my own, I felt quite conspicuous sat at the counter between the front door and the main bar area, where I'd been seated, and I felt that I stuck out like a sore thumb. I should have asked if I could move or maybe I should try to own being a solo traveller a little more !? I'd defo go back if in the area tho. Staff were fab.

Bar was really cute looking and service was lovely. We were excited for good cocktails but were very disappointed with the quality we got for £20 of drinks. My espressi martini had a ton of foam and just tasted like cold coffee. My partner's drink was bitter and not very tasty. Everyone else here raves about the cocktails though so maybe we just got a bad batch :) ambiance was nice!

Nice atmosphere, was quite quiet around 8pm on a Thursday bank holiday weekend (Jubilee) so we got two seats without a booking. Friendly staff but a bit slow to get our first drinks given how quiet it was. One very nice cocktail - Cheeky Tiki Others cocktails we tried: Jamaican Me Crazy Summer Old Fashioned Tiki Negroni All of which were not really to our taste. Just of £40 for 4 cocktails so a bit pricy for the quality.

Really nice atmosphere and decor; quiet enough to hear your partner but loud enough to pretend you didn’t. The espresso cocktails were top class and seating comfy. Don’t miss the special cocktail board opposite of the bar on a whiteboard. Also, there is a downstairs that seems especially cozy for large groups or an intimate date. I loved that they were open on Mondays; be sure to stop in and support this gem.

To make it simple, there are three things I think about The Raging Bull: - A wonderful overall atmosphere (much like Boston's own, Cheers). - Experienced and passionate staff that will always show dedication to providing a great service in accordance to the highest standards. - A great drink selection, comprised of both my favourite classics but also very creative cocktails built on the staff's palpable experience and love for the craft. I would make this my go-to bar if only I lived in Edinburgh!

Just ok. Drinks were average. Service was a bit disappointing as I ve asked for a table at off-peak time, they refused as I had no booking was made even though the shop was half empty and made me go back an hour later that somehow found a table even though the shop was more crowded.

We held our wedding reception at The Raging Bull on the first weekend that bars and clubs were out of lockdown. Despite the pressure and length of time that they had been unable to hold an event like this, they accomodated around 50 of us like it was no big deal! We held a (Covid safe) team night out at The Raging Bull with a cocktail masterclass. There are a LOT of rubbish cocktail making classes out there and this is absolutely not your average hen do / how to make a tequila sunrise. The bar team Connor and Andy were fab. Super-knowledgeable about cocktails and ingredients. They were happy to let us loose behind the bar and between us we got to make at least 10 different drinks including their signature Espresso Martini (amazing). Even the self-taught mixologists in our group learnt something new. The pre-event comms were great, nothing was too much trouble. Venue has a relaxed speakeasy vibe, drinks fairly priced and highly recommended for anyone who fancies a decent cocktail in Edinburgh.

Cocktails & staff in this bar are amazing!! The barmaid, Courtney, was so friendly & informative about the drinks on offer. She suggested a few cocktails and my fav by far was “Rum to Ritches” - she was so spot on after asking what things I liked. So completely worth it.. Yum! It’s smaller than I thought inside but I preferred that as it was a really cosy atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

I enjoyed my night here in the basement. My only issue, and it's not even a big deal, is that the decor is very Gatsby-esque but the music played is rap music. You expect some obscure 20s swing music or something but get Nas. Its like sitting in a jazz bar and hearing Slayer, it doesn't really fit the expectation. Apart from that, it's great.
