This has been a popular place of mine for many a year. I went for a birthday meal with 3 family members and due to CV-19 restrictions, the tables were sectioned off with perspex screens which provided a cozy and safe ambience. There seemed to be a limited menu on offer but the portion sizes were rather large and enjoyable too. The staff were attentive and provided a table service as going up to the bar was not recommended in current circumstances. Well done Scottie.

Nice local non chain pub with sports, plenty of seats, and friendly service. Seemed a popular choice on my visit. Separate area for diners round towards the rear, where you are seated and served. Food was good and a decent portion, so stayed for dessert. Staff and owners were attentive, efficient and gratuitous.

Our favorite local. My wife and I get to spend two nights a week in this fantastic pub while our daughter practices highland dance nearby. We love their fine cask ales. Also conveniently located near Morrisons should you need to get any grocery shopping done before or after.

Outstanding service from staff. Food was spot on and tasted very nice. This was at lunchtime and the place was busy. Everyone was catered for and staff made every effort to make you feel comfortable. I had the steak and it was excellent. Cooked as requested and I enjoyed every bite. Would highly recommend bthus as a drop in for food before heading into Edinburgh City centre. Will definitely be back.
