Used a voucher for a Sicilian wine tasting experience and wasn't disappointed. Staff were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines. Food platter to go with it to complement the wines. Superb in every way. Tasted 2 white, 1 rose and 2 red wines. All brilliant. Worth a visit on it's own. Well done Veeno Edinburgh

Great pre-marathon carb-loading session! The service was generally very good and hospitable, with the friendly waitress helping us to make informed decisions about what dishes to have. The menu seems limited for dinner but this is a place that does a shorter menu very well: the pasta was delicious - all fresh and all very good portions. Knocked a star off because they forgot to make one of our dishes and instead of just admitting it, they were going to serve it up 5 minutes before they wanted the table back, until we insisted they cancelled it. On the whole though, a great experience and would return.

Lovely place serving great food & wine. They had no pizzas when we visited, so opted for cheese & bread sharer with some crisp Pino Grigiot, which was very nice. Would highly recommend the espresso martini, the best I have ever had.

2 friends and I went to Veeno for a wine tasting on Saturday night - what a great experience. Carlotta guided us through the experience telling us where the wines came from, what made them unique and what meat or cheese went best with each wine. Carlotta was friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly interesting. As well as the 6 wines we tasted we had a huge platter of meat, cheese and bread. The atmosphere in Veeno is relaxed and you can almost imagine you're abroad. All in all a great evening and would highly recommend. Good value for money too - I'll definitely be back.

We had an incredible time on a 'taste of Sicily' experience. The food was amazing, the wine was incredible, and our host Kat made the whole experience unforgettable! We arrived at 6pm and were the last ones to leave around 10.30 after having enjoyed our evening so much we decided to spread out the courses and the wine and take our time. Kat was brilliant; she was a delightful host and despite being madly overworked and short staffed, she really made us feel welcome and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our time. Give her a raise!

My friend and I booked this for a nice Friday night dinner and we weren’t disappointed. Stephen took care of us from the moment we arrived, he was kind, engaging and very funny. We decided against the meat and cheese platter but the ones we saw looked amazing - instead we opted for pizza which was amazingly delicious - also very reasonably priced. The toilets are nice and clean as well. There were times when the music felt a little too loud but there is a great vibe in this place and if you’re looking for a meat and cheese platter this is the place to go. There’s also a great drinks selection. Massive thank you to Stephen - you really made the visit great.

A lovely place with a distinctively Italian character - the selection of wines by the glass is good, and you can even get tasting notes for most of them which is quite rare. Delicious pinsa. Cheerful staff. Also had fun with pasta straws (their specialty :D). Would be happy to be back

Stopped off for a light bite for dinner and Stephen was super welcoming. They had a sign us saying they are a little light on staff due to the pingdemic but you wouldn't have guessed, the service was impeccable. The food itself was great and was prepared quickly and was super fresh. Mama mia, this was an amazing experience. A lovely welcome from the staff. I had the Selezione Premium wine tasting that included 5 beautiful glasses of different Sicillian wines and a delicious spuntini sharing platter, including different meats and cheeses, breadsticks and other yummy food and dips. Also a side plate of bread was served. George was very attentive and charming as he explained about all the different wines before serving each glass to me. Loved my visit here and will definately be returning soon. Would highly recommend if like me you enjoy all things Italian. Being here reminded me so much of my recent trip to Italy. 🇮🇪♥️🇮🇪🍷🇮🇪♥️

We had the four wine and platter I Quattro Rossi. This was a lovely balance of very tasty wines with a mix of bread, salamis and cheese each complementing each other. We followed that with the "sweet couple" tiramisu and sweet wine. The pistachio tiramisu is to die for. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere.

This place is a little treasure, great food and wonderful wines. Sitting in the sun outside in Rose Street, what a great way to spend an hour or two.

Amazing place! We were gifted the wine tasting for 2, we expected to only be there an hour, we were wrong! The server brought us a huge plate of nibbles, and talked in depth about how they make their wines and how to pair them with the food, then they left us alone to enjoy the experience. We tried two whites, a rose, two reds, and a dessert wine. Also included was a homemade tiramisu, the best I’ve ever had! We were there for 2.5 hours and didn’t need dinner that evening! The experience was about £40 per person. Would recommend to anyone!

We went for a three-course wine paired meal. Beautifully decorated inside. We were sat on a table of two for the three of us which was a bit of a squash. Starter and main were gorgeous, we weren't a huge fan of the desserts, so would have liked more than just two options per course. However, would definitely return!

Very good food and wine, after a bit of a false start. The three women were overrun and we didn’t get asked for drinks or food orders for ages, however they were very apologetic and a couple of glasses of prosecco were a nice complimentary touch. Drinks were very good, the Hugo Spritz was great, and good organic red wine, and my dry white, Grillo, was lovely. Food was excellent, delicious caprese salad, seafood pasta, side salad and breads. Service got better but they struggled at the start. Made up for it however.

What a spectacular evening at Veeno! It's a cosy restaurant with phenomenal food and wine, I would suggest a glass of their very own Nero D'Avola.... A real treat! The atmosphere is vibrant and the service is second to none, Francesco has welcomed us and made us feel special! He advised us to try the Pinsa...absolutely amazing! Thanks Francesco, thanks Veeno! Lovely! We went for trip to Sicily wine tasting and were given some really lovely wines to taste! The food that accompanied the wines was also really nice, there were some very unique items on the food board that paired well with the wines. We especially loved the home made tiramisu, it was absolutely delicious. All in all, a very nice evening!

Went here a few days ago and loved it. The staff were friendly and the decor inside was very stylish all round. The food was fantastic and at a good price. We didn't have any wine but if it the quality is nearly as good as the food's then I'm sure it's great. It's also nice not having a service charge added to the bill, which so many places in Edinburgh do.
