Brilliant pub! A lot bigger when you step through the front entrance. Warm, cosy surroundings & plenty of seats next to TV's darted throughout. Staff all very welcoming & quick speedy service and decent drinks range on draught, as well as plenty of spirits to choose from. Can't wait to visit here again soon ☆☆☆☆☆

Armstrongs what a place. They couldn’t of been more accommodating. A cosy environment with an electric atmosphere, with tardis feel as you walk through the building. What a lovely pub. As your walking along the street it is a hidden gem. There’s a large heated beer garden where your furry friends are allowed. Jacqui is so pleasant with a great product knowledge and amazing recommendations of her products. I usually drop in when passing through and as I say it’s a lovely hidden gem so if your around make sure to keep your eyes open. The Guinness is lovely. Obviously I tried it before I took the picture. Keep up the good work. Hopefully passing through more often.

Love coming to Armstrongs when working locally. Decent drinks on draught, pool tables are good and excellent beer garden. Staff all very attentive and make you feel welcome every time I am in, especially wee Jackie who’s a wee gem!!

Great local pub with lovely staff, especially Jackie who as manager makes sure the place is spotlessly clean, and rules for social distancing and mask wearing - for everyone’s safety - are adhered to. Good selection of beer, fantastic beer garden hidden out the back, and a good range of weekly events including a weekly open mic night. Most of all, a consistently friendly welcome and a covid-safe place to enjoy an hour or two with pals. Highly recommended!

Fantastic pub on Glasgow's Southside. Great selection of beers, fantastic atmosphere, and totally dog friendly. Our boy Jim loves it, you can see the smile on his wee face! Live music, pub quiz, great prices, all the sport on tv, pool tables, beer garden, dog friendly...what more do you need from a pub? And all a short walk from the house. Went in yesterday 28/8/20 for the first time since lockdown, and although there are a few changes in place for everyone's safety I quite liked the fact that I was shown to a booth where your drink is brought to your table and you can settle your bill before you leave. I do still miss the times before Covid when I used to go in after work and the buzz of being able to stand at the bar with mates and enjoy the banter. I hope this will be the case soon, cause Armstrongs is a great pub and does a great pint of Stella.

Went in at 10 pm on Saturday 5 Sept. Extremely impressed with their response to Covid-19 and the measures they have in place to keep everyone safe. Very controlled with only 2 people at a time in the smokers area, screens between tables etc. Thanks to the lovely staff for a great evening. It felt a very safe environment. Mary Crocker

One of the 2 last "pub" pubs in the area. A favourite on match days or for hen pecked husbands on weekday evenings. Good for pool, good for drinking in the beer garden, good for watching sports on the big screen but not too good for beers as the choice is very generic. Definitely improved since my first visit but still a long way to go to be the best pub in the area

Don't let the front fool you, it's massive inside. Old school pub with good mix of customers (and dogs) perfect for a relaxed afternoon pint. They don't serve food, but are happy for you to take your own in.

This is the best pub in Battlefield. Don't be put off by the small entrance. It is very large, and also you can go upstairs. It also has a beer garden. The staff are so friendly. A FAB place.

This is a pleasant bar with a lovely beer garden, useful for smokers and just for a drink in the open air. However, some weeks ago I was refused a drink at the bar. When I asked the reason, I was told the Manager had seen me "snatch the mike" from the professional girl musician. This was utterly untrue. I wanted to try playing my fiddle along with this girl who herself handed me the mike. We didn't actually find a tune that we both knew, so the attempt fizzled out. But I am angry that I was accused of doing something I DID NOT DO -and therefore I am unhappy about going to Armstrongs again. (Anyhow I broke my hip on 20th Dec and cannot walk there just now). If I do try going there, I hope I can be served in the circumstances.

I'm known as Cami in Armstongs. This is oneof the few pubs left you can call your local. But it isint hard to become a " local " as the bar staff are all friendly and helpful. No problem to big. As being disabled at the moment they go out there way to help as much as they can. Even at busy times. Disabled friendly. But all welcome. The place to be.
