Underground bier halle with a large selection of beers from Europe and worldwide. Very popular for pizzas. In summer there is usually outdoor seating with a small bar in Gordon Street.

Never sure why they don't just half the price of the pizza (pizza was great though). The general availability of some of the beers means that the novelty has worn off a bit (reluctant to pay through the nose for beers I can easily find at the supermarket). It was quieter than normal and the food/drink was good and service quick.

Lots of beer selections. Only a couple of IPAs but they seem to try and gather beer from everywhere. The food I did not try and the pictures don't do it justice but I've since worse places with less. Four stars for friendly service and a great atmosphere. No reservations are needed which it stated when I went to their website. Says if no time or table us available then it's booked. This place was near empty.

Had a great time yesterday in the terrace area - loved the big tall heaters! Benches were a bit shabby and wobbly though. We didnt order food but everything they were dishing out looked and smelled amazing. The staff were all lovely but we found it a little on the expensive side.

I live in Inverness and every time I come to Glasgow which is usually for a gig I make a point of coming here for one reason and one reason only, the salt and chilli Wings are the Best ever.

Great selection of beer from all over the world. Amazing food, especially the pizzas. The 2 for 1 deal is excellent and should not be missed! Can be busy during peak times and weekends. They also usually have a popup tent outside (heated during the winter) that you can also sit at and be served from.

It’s a basement bar in like a cold war nuclear bunker style with low lighting levels but an excellent range of beers from all over the world. Permanent 2 4 1 pizzas aren’t really an offer at £15 each. Pizzas are tasty however. Ours were singed “burnt” round the edges. Recommend for secret meetings with enemy agents in the gloomy nooks and crannies.

Always a great meal. As you might expect from the name, they have a great range of beers from around the world. The pizza options should please anyone, my only issue would be that certain toppings make the pizza a little too oily. That said, this is some of the best pizza in glasgow.

Bier Halle is a bar based on the popular German model of what a bar should be like. It serves mostly import beers and they come in pints or the more German steiner which is a litre measure. The best thing about Bier Halle in my opinion is the outdoor seating which is extensive on the pedestrian thoroughfare outside the bar. What else? Well it's quite dark inside, it has German style benches and always seems to me a little cliquey.

I love beer, this place does too. No shortage of choice is your after something a little different. They also offer excellent handmade pizzas at a reasonable price. At present it has a large outdoor/on street seating area. Though if you are seeking ambiance then head downstairs to the basement. Though the drink is pricey it's worth it support such a unique range being offered.

Since I started venturing to Glasgow as young man, I loved discovering new places. I'd say I've been going here for close to 20 years perhaps. This is such a cool bar/restaurant. Today I sat outside with a friend and enjoyed a pizza with a cold cider. I cannot put into words how immense the pizzas are here. As part of my 40th I insisted we start here for pizza. 😁 The drinks menu is also amazing and I've sampled a good few. Stop here if you are ever in Glasgow it's superb!

It was a lovely evening in Glasgow weather wise, so we decided to take advantage and use the Bier Halle beer garden. As usual with a lot of places at the moment, you order on their app, pay and they deliver to your table. This was done in a quick and efficient manner and the prices were pretty reasonable for a city centre location. Would recommend as long as the weather is favourable.

Pre covid I really liked this bar but I went recently and the experience wasn't that great. Their app to order drinks was barely usable, I struggled to find what i was looking for. They selection available wasn't great and it refused to accept payment if you had to leave the app to verify with your bank. Hopefully once restrictions are eased they can go back to normal.

Hadn't been for a long time and visited again for a beer and pizza ahead of peasano and Pizza Express to see if the 2 for 1 pizza was still as good. Staff are still as friendly and welcoming and atmosphere was good with a full house. Only issues were that the pizza has become expensive at £16 meaning that each pizza was £8 per person. Not hugely expensive but being honest, no-one pays £16 for a pizza anywhere in Glasgow. Also, the gents at the rear of the business was horrible. The floors were soaking wet in what one can only hope was water from a leak and the toilet was blocked and full of water.

Love the pizzas here! 😍 While I'm not a big drinker, the 2-4-1 pizza deal is an excellent incentive for visiting time and time again. The drinks selection is extensive so there's something for everyone. Very casual atmosphere, but may not be for everyone as it's very dark and loud inside (although the music selection is always 10/10). In that case, can always sit outside in the heated tents come rain or shine!

I've visited this moody bar a couple of times and never been disappointed. There's a certain vibe that feels authentically trendy whilst being honest. Beer selection is the excellent, especially if you like European brands. Also, the pizzas offered are fantastic. Look out for the 2 for 1 offers on a Thursday night!

Best part: Sitting under the gazeebo in the middle of the street people watching drinking beer and eating pizza on a Friday after work in summer, with tunes pumping out onto the street. Otherwise its dark and small inside, not the best service or food. Pizzas are good for the price and awesome after several pints! Some really good beers on offer from all over the world. Pizzas are delightful, huge range of world beers, lager and spirits. I love the cheap and different flavours of Schnapps you can get. It's not the greatest to sit in sometimes, quite cramped, dark and musty and being under ground no signal but WIFI is available. I prefer to sit in the gazebo of Beir Halle outside on the street on a hot day enjoying a drink. Nice atmosphere there.

One of the first bars I ever visited in Glasgow and it became my local instantly. I love German beers and this place has an amazing range. They have a great range from many other countries too. The food here is excellent, the place is almost always packed with people eating, always a good sign.

I visited BierHalle with about 50 of my classmates after an exam. We all ordered drinks and pizzas. The staff were really good with us and said they would take our order from the table which made things much easier. The pizzas were 241 and they were really yummy. There was a huge amount of choice to pick from and everyone really enjoyed the one they went for. The selection of beers is really impressive and they also do frozen margaritas!

Large variety of cold beer. Draft or bottles. Clean glasses, friendly knowledgeable staff and good bespoke food. As long as you know to never pay full price for the pizza and get one of their offers then it's reasonable value for money. Not the cheapest place but I always feel I get value for money. Like the included hotdog or fresh hot pretzel with every stein. Phone signal sucks because it's a basement but the free WiFi is fine (once you get connected through the annoying log in screen and adverts) A great start to any night out in Glasgow!

I always love coming here when I'm in Glasgow. It has one of the best selections of world beers, and does a brilliant deal on 2 for 1 pizzas, which is always on. When we went along we sampled the Scottish Sangria, a combination of Drambuie, Triple Sec, white wine and fruit, which was really rather delicious and few too many made navigating the stair back out a little treacherous!!

The Bier Halle is okay. It is a basement bar (LOTS of steps down) with a barracks mess type arrangement of tables. They sell lots of different types of lager, all quite expensive. The food is basic, e.g. pizza and is again quite expensive. You pay over the odds for other drinks too and there is limited choice, eg for wine. The seats are not comfy. There is no music. It is very noisy with chatter. The only good thing is that it is dark and they have lots of beer options. I wouldn't rush back!

Not great I'm afraid. Love the selection of beers but they are overpriced. Secondly, since when did a very thin flatbread start posing as a pizza? Mine was supposed to be pesto covered but think chef wasn't wearing any glasses as it was just dotted on the so called pizza and then a multitude of rocket leaves were piled on top to conceal that fact. Wasn't impressed and won't be returning. Felt we were robbed!!

Huge beer selection and really nice pizzas. Their 2-for-1 pizza deal is great. The pizzas themselves are huge. They use some real, thick, spicy chorizo - definitely worth a try. Their beers are a little pricey, but if you've got a craving for a Hofbrau or a Crocodile - this is the place to be! There are only a couple of negatives. Their WiFi never works, unfortunately. And as the place is underground it's very difficult to get a mobile signal. And it's cash only. They do, however, have a beer tent on the street. It's usually packed during the summer. Downstairs, towards the back of the beer hall there's a little back room. Right next to the kitchen, and a bit less busy than the main area, it's great for big groups. I'd definitely recommend calling ahead for a table on Friday evenings and at the weekend. It gets busy, but it's worth visiting!
