First time here as it was recommended by the friend I was lunching with.
We both ordered something different and went "hawfers".
I ordered the carvery calzone and it was actually very delicious and the gravy was scolding and chips fresh.
My friend order the butter chicken burger which again was very hot, fresh and delicious.
We ordered dessert which this is where I wasn't so impressed!
I ordered the strawberry shortcake sundae - well - it came with only one dollop of vanilla ice cream in the small glass and totally disguised with loads of that fake squooshy cream and a small sprinkling of biscuit on top. Didn't see much strawberries in it either and it cost me almost £5 - not good enough for that price in my opinion.
Overall the place was tidy and cleanish, never used the toilets and staff were polite.
I'll give it 8/10 👌🏻

Excellent spread from the roasts. tatties and veg. Always a wonderfull meal. Not to expensive recommend sticking to the iced water.

Surprisingly good. Went there for the first time for a Sunday roast and have to say it was banging, absolutely delicious they had choices of 4 meats, and gravy is thick as it should be.
Went there recently again and I will keep going back

Can't beat a Sunday Carvery! The Food was good and staff were pleasant. Dinner was most enjoyable.

The food is good pub grub and good value, however, they should have more condiments on the table ready for customers. I had scampi and chips and after asking twice for vinegar it finally turned up when I had three chips left. Just leave the vinegar on the table with the salt and pepper

What a lovely, family and dog friendly place. I was part of a Craft Fair on Saturday 8 October 2022. Grant and his team were so friendly and helpful. Food was good and plenty of selection. Thanks for making the day a great success.

Came here disappointed to find out this wasn’t a buffet considering how little meat they gave us. The price was appalling, £6.50 for a kids meal and Therefore value being terrible as my son absolutely DEVOURED this meal. Food was a 5/10. I don’t blame the staff for this as they are very kind and are just doing their job but I am definitely not coming here again. Would honestly rather go to McDonald’s for a night out.

Breakfast is great value for money buffet style all you can eat and a good selection of items to put on your plate.
The carvery dinner is also excellent value for the price can't fault any of the food I had.

Booked here for buffet breakfast at 11, instructed we could sit anywhere as it was quiet, no other instructions on how ordering etc went. Went up to buffet asked where the plates were, was told you have to pay first & we give you plates….they dont do straws which wasn’t great with having young kids. Food wasnt great most was very hard over cooked, i had to ask for fresh toast as the stuff they had out was so hard it was inedible, the tongs for picking up food were super hot i had to use tissue round them so if my 5yo picked it up she would of had a sore hand they were that hot. Not a great experience overall unfortunately.
