Reviews of Dows Bar
Lovely pub, nice Guinness. Bar staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome on my first visit. Relaxed atmosphere. The first pub when you come out of Queen Street station and a great starting point for a Glasgow day or night out. Will definitely visit again
No food. Stop off for railway journey as right next to Queens Street Station. Pop in. In need of make over. But great atmosphere. Pop in pub . Toilets aghh. . But can't fault the staff. Not always busy. 2 people only one day. Midweek was dead as a dodo.xx
Train was cancelled so came here for a pint while I waited. Directly opposite queen Street side entrance.
Was rather busy as was expected for a town centre/train station bar. Didn't have to wait long to get served.
The bar itself could have done with a bit of a clean up, didn't once see any of the staff clean the bar in the hour and a half I was here and there were 4 members of staff in at one point.
The staff themselves were friendly and polite and a bit of eye candy which is always a bonus.
The prices are pretty steep here. Not sure if that's because of the location they know they can charge that much, but there are also a few other bars in the area that are cheaper if you could be bothered walking up to a hundred meters. Can't remember the last time I paid almost £5 for a pint.
Next time a train is cancelled and I fancy a drink, I think I'll check out a different bar.
Would recommend if your knackered and fancy a pint, but if you want a drinking session then I'd definaltly get yourselves a bankloan.
Been in a few times whilst waiting on the train. Was served by gillian, fantastic barmaid. friendly, engaging and interesting. Would definitely visit this pub again due to warm welcome you get. 5 star.
Well run pub its a good pub with genuine people from Glasgow and other places its beside the station and you get all sorts of group's of people coming in to have a good laugh and a crack it's an all round good boozer by the way the door man good guy who organised the seating area for everyone who could be fit in with the covid over now well the rules it's going to be a busy pub and well liked by me and my mate we went into the pub around 3:30 pm we ended up getting the last bus home from Glasgow to Edinburgh we got lucky that's how cool the pub is you don't want to leave ha ha ha
Best wee pub in Glasgow karaoke on Friday and Saturday is excellent, great staff great atmosphere recommend 4 stars
Nice wee stop off the train.Good prices friendly staff. Will call in again.
First pub coming out of Queen Street station, as always, great wee pub, and staff so friendly, 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
We love this happy friendly wee pub,,,warm,,with a good clean pint..
Next to the train station so always good for a pint before or after a journey.
Excellent had my daughters 40th birthday there good evening
Top place, always lively with friendly people, not to mention perfect for Queen St Station
Great, friendly bar staff, great traditional pub
We sheltered in here from the rain. White wine was excellent
Friendly service and a good pint all you need 🍺
Handy wee pub for a quickie between train journeys
Good place for a quick drink next to Queen Street Station
Excellent wee pub in the heart of the city 👍
Very reasonably priced, and nice bar staff.
Proper wee Glasgow boozer beside Queen Street Station. Basic range of draught beers. Greatly improved since my last visit around 30 years ago when some bam was throwing chairs about and I had to hide in the toilets!
Great pub handy when your waiting on a yrain
Was there on Friday night had great time.
Great atmosphere lovely friendly crowd
Handy bat for Queen Street train station
Wonderful atmosphere great karaoke night
Quiet wee pub with friendly staff
The barman was very friendly and I received an excellent pint of Belhaven Best. Toilet and hand washing facilities could be improved.
Great pub and great pint
The barmaid working was very helpful
Luv the place both customers and staff
Could do with a right good refit.
It’s a proper pub don’t get me wrong but could do with a freshen up.
But the beers were good and it was a good laugh with the folk that were in. Great for a beer before getting the train.
Traditional Mans pub situated next to Queen St station. Not somewhere to take the girlfriend or to impress someone but reasonable priced drinks and chatty female bar staff with good patter. Ok for a few pints before heading off elsewhere.
Popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting to catch train to Edinburgh from Queen Street station. A bit dated and toilets reminded me of going out to pubs in my younger days......Cold and smelling of pee😱
Very much a traditional old Glasgow pub. Been in the same spot for decades, directly opposite as you leave Queen St station and is a small but lively place.
Great prices for a city centre pub and the staff were friendly. Place was clean but In dire need of a makeover, feels like a pub from the late 70's.
Large function room upstairs and usually a Karaoke & live bands.
It can get a little rowdy on a Saturday especially around the time the football finishes but never usually any trouble.
Full of real honest Glaswegians and tends to be the older crowd who frequent the place.
Invariably this pub is my last port of call before I head for the train home. Without fail the staff are courteous and accommodating above and beyond considering I and my compadre have been drinking elsewhere.
Lovely friendly pub
Cheap, cheerful and friendly.Right next to Queen St station so ideal if you fancy a refreshment before your train. It was stiflingly hot inside when we were in don't know if it's always like this or not?
Was like going back in time. My wife and I only popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting on a train from Queen Street station.
The toilets smelled the way I remember from years gone past......Stale urine 🤢
Happy just before the train
Good pint of stella 4.0
I can't fault this wee bar, it's right next to the train station and it's handy for everything. Cold beer, I can bring my dog and if you stay later, you can catch karaoke on the weekends! Very friendly.
Despite the name change - from the Vale- the pub hasn't really changed much. It's not bad for a stop off for a beer waiting for, or just off the train.
Excellent pub! Great place for a pint when you’ve just got off the train though it’s such a welcoming place it rarely stops at one!
Great pint of Guinness
Next to queen st station
Great wee pub. Always a good atmosphere and perfect location to catch the last train home.
Traditional pub, you need to try these places before they are all gone. Good pint before getting on train.
Nice old fashioned bar. Drinks very reasonable for City centre. Shows live sports. Staff were friendly.
Prices a bit stiff for a casual couple o pints.decor a bit grubby, but good staff and a great mix of people to meet n chat with.bonus that its direct across from queen st station.
Good time
Handy old mans pub right next to queen street if u want a drink only, look no further and watch the weird and wonderful pass by. Not sure what its like for entertainment at weekends
Fantastic bar staff and atmosphere. Very helpful to anyone that needs a quiet beer.
Great bar. Places looks great. Friendly waiter and the beer is really cold and good
Nice little pub, right next to queen Street station and much more comfortable to wait for your train here than the station
Great wee place, been coming here for a few years after work, is very welcoming. Great bar staff 👍
G8 we pub friendly inviting and there a few g8 singers in there on kareoke and g8 for more local pubs and station food whatever your choice 💋
Standard old fashioned basic pub. Central for Queen Street Station. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Popped in for a drink on a Friday night on way to the station. Decor a bit dated but atmosphere nice.
Traditional pub, cosy atmosphere, no loud music or televisions, friendly bar staff.
Great wee pub before you hop on the train, good pint and clean bar.
Very cosy and busy little pub, drinks reasonably priced, a fun place to visit
Could do with a serious decorating job. It's an OK bar, staff ok and in a great location. Sticky carpets though...
Rough, ready and impossibly friendly - truly a diamond of a pub especially if you pick up a microphone and sing a song! I'll be back for sure.
Found this little gem recently, great pub with a very friendly atmosphere, had a date and we ended up in Dows, had a brilliant laugh and we will definitely be back 😎
Lovely strageticly placed pub...only down side is that they do not take debit or credit cards.
Cozy little bar right off Queens Station. Cash ONLY..but meet a lot of traveling folks who need to wait till the crowd dies down.
A pub thats been around for ages alongside Queen Street Station. There is a function room for hire upstairs, which is good enough for a party of 20-30 people.
Lovely service, bit pricey for a local boozer, but comfortable for a quick pint.
Great wee pub
Proper bar good pint of Best, got served quickly, pleasant staff..no Proseco sh**.
Small and quite pub. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Love this place
Good wee pub with friendly atmosphere. Bar was understaffed though for a Saturday afternoon

Friendly staff and decent atmosphere. Reasonably priced for a city centre pub.

Will not win awards but a decent place to have a pint just outside Glasgow Queen Street train station which has no facilities whatsoever.

Great staff really good homely food and a great place to watch football with a pint
Nice place great wee pub bar staff friendly and typical Glasgow punters and banter 🤣🤣🤣
When you've got a real need to experience a genuine quality 'dive' before they're all gone. Cheap as chips.
Bright lights mean you are unlikely to fall asleep and miss your train.
A handy place for a pint prior to catching train. Amways pop in for one after football.
Right outside queen street train station..good booze ..friendly staff..busy so keen prices...fall oot the boozer right onto the train ..easy...hic ..slurp ..fart..!!
