Reviews of Drygate Brewing Co.
J. D.
Awesome place. Really friendly staff welcomed us and we had some amazing food. Lots of beer on tap and there is a small shop to buy the beers you like. The upper terrace allows a beer in the sun (if you're lucky with the weather) but there is more than enough space inside as well. You can make a reservation, but it was quite calm when we went. We had a great time!

Having been to Drygate before, due to the pandemic it has been a couple of years now. The bar / restaurant has lost none of its magic, would even say it’s much better. Excellent choice on the menu and the staff were very attentive. Well worth the trip and would highly recommend this to anybody in Glasgow.
L. D.
I went once for drinking, I had an amazing beer (reverse the polarity).
I also went there with a friend for a brewery tour, as soon as we got there the staff told that no one else had booked the brewery tour so we had a private tour. It's been great, the brewer who guided us told us a ton of super interesting things about the story and the different beers that they make. One of the best brewery tour I have ever had. After the tour we had the included beer tasting together with him, he deeply explained the 4 beer we tasted, it's been very interesting and fun. The tour+beer tasting was 20£, which is not little but it's definitely worth it, we had a guide for two people only! The tour lasted 1 hours and the beer tasting 15 mins. We also took some chips (very standard) and some great haggis croquettes, those were expensive (7£ for 3 croquettes) but very good as well so it's fine.
They also have a little shop where you can buy beer glasses, shirts or beers obviously. All the things in the shop are very high quality and very good looking, I personally took a glass (4£ very nice and fairly priced and a shirt, very nice as well but overpriced at 15£)
The brewery is good and the staff is super you g and friendly. It's overall a little overpriced, but everything is high quality and I find correct supporting the cause, you're paying a premium but you're supporting a great business.
Keep it up guys!

Good food and good beers. We went twice for lunch. I highly recommend the beef and bone marrow pie. This place has ample seating and is very clean. We sat across from the bar, and the bar tender took his time to carefully craft every drink he made.

Simply loved this place! recommend to all
Huge selection of beer and the food was very colourful and delicious. Tried the vegan burger and was probably the best tasting one I ever had
S. R.
The fish and chips were some of the best I’ve ever had. The beer was good, my husband really enjoyed the Orinoco. But the dessert is literally one of the best things that I’ve had in the past five years… Gingeraffe Sponge was to die for… so good, that I forgot to take a picture. 😁
E. M.
Had a late lunch here today after the 1.00 Tennents Brewery Tour. The food was absolutely delicious and the service efficient and friendly. I had the Small Plates of Mussels and the Seabass with side order of potatoes (so so delicious) and broccoli. Honestly so very tasty. Husband had the Cullen Skink and the seafood Pasta. Great value for money too! Would highly recommend.

Can’t believe I’ve stayed in the East End of Glasgow for over 2 years and only just visited Drygate. We had such a pleasant experience going there. Staff are really friendly and quirky, decor is funky, and food is top notch! Best fish and chips in the East End. Also enjoyed our side of Mac n cheese. As well as this, they have a decent size drinks menu - including a big selection of IPA’s and ales. I tried the Disco Forklift Truck and really enjoyed it.
R. R.
This brewery was very close to our Airbnb, and it seemed to be very popular.
We see why now. They have a lot of different beers available, and the decor is very nice, and the space is massive. There’s an outside, an inside and and upstairs terrace.
Service was mostly good.
The poutine fries we ordered were not at all good, and they were an insult to the original Canadian version, but since we ordered them, we had to eat them. I’d get something else when going back.
H. M.
All the beers we had were delish. They didn’t have a tour available but the host (Ross) was very helpful and talked us through a lovely flight. Food was also very good. Would definitely recommend a stop here.
S. M.
Good place for beer. The nachos can be skipped. Fried pickles were great! Disco forklift beer is my fav. Dog friendly 🐾 The bar could use some board games for customers to use while there

Updated Review on 18th of Nov:
Decent beers, nice venue, however the food was quite disappointing with the exception of the haggis bon bons that were delicious.
I had the burger (£13) which was a single patty that looked and tasted way to similarly to an iceland frozen burger, also the toppings and bun were far from as exciting as one would expect in a known microbrewery. The chicken sandwich my friend had was “acceptable” and the chicken shawarma were “decent” in their own words, but would not recommend either for the price.
Staff were friendly’ish
In response to the staff reply: the 1 star was by mistake as you can clearly see from the rest of the review (other than the burger) we did enjoy the venue, the beers and especially the haggis bon bons. I’d still really love to hear the truth on the burger which was exceptionally disappointing for £13. Looking fwd to your reply

Had a great time enjoying a flight of beer and a pretzel 🥨 🍻 beer options were plentiful and the space was great - sat up in the bar not the brasserie. Staff was friendly at first but seemed a bit annoyed to help with takeaway cans at the end of my visit 🤷🏼♀️ still a cute spot!
K. V.
Really tasty food and a wide variety of Delish brews. We were so well looked after by the amazing staff and had a wonderful time. It is also definitely good for larger groups and you can also try different beers as they offer 1/2 and 1/3 pints 🍻
B. R.
Great brews and a great space. As a Canadian, the poutine was interesting if not quite right but I give you two thumbs up for trying! Highly recommend a stop if you have time.
N. C.
Great selection of beers from this local microbrewery. You can pick 1/3 and 1/2 glasses so you can enjoy multiple flavors.
The negative point was the burger. It came with the patty essentially burned which had to be sent back to the kitchen. Sadly the second burger was also extremely well-done.
The staff was however extremely polite and kind.
S. H.
Hanging out with the dead is nice, but doesn't compare to living at Drygate. Beers are true to style, with a wide variety. Also the benches may seem huge, but if you think so... You're sitting wrong.
a. v.
A local brewery with delicate flavours and a lot of IPA beers. We had good time there to taste the real Glaskow beer tstes.
D. H.
Decent beers and decent food, served with a smile. Had the biggest side dish (of poutine) I've ever had, it was like a meal in Itself.
G. F.
Great place for a drink and something to eat - we’ve been a few times and it’s been consistently good.
A great range of craft beers and drinks to choose from. The food is to a really good standard.
It’s clean, open spaces with plenty of room, and a great outdoor space with cover.
The one thing to note is that if you bring a dog, it’s best to mention this in the booking.
K.
Went for a gig and was hugely impressed with the place. Venue space is great and the bars both upstairs and down are excellent. Outdoor seated area perfect for a pre-gig pint. Amazing selection of beers too. Oh, and the band rocked.
S. S.
Nice tour with tasting and good beer.. A nice restaurant as well. Absolutely recommended.
M.
Food was fantastic, chips with truffles and parmesan was gorgeous, nice atmosphere, big windows allowed you to even see inside the factory.
M. D.
Brewery outlet so thought just a bar and some tables but it is so much better, amazing food, loads of beer taps, good staff and service.
g. m.
Great place, great beers, food was good too..staff were a bit all over the place, but we had a nice meal.
B.
Lovely staff, spacious modern pub and good vibes. Great beer selection - we had the spare parts sour which was amazing and orinoco stout, rich and full of flavour. Soup of the day as on the picture was cauliflower and apple, creamy and comforting and inferno disco thighs were crispy and sauce rich and spicy. Worth paying them a visit.
F. d. B.
Loved the beers! The food was very good! We didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. The atmosphere was perfect.
C. B.
Super venue, fantastic service with first class food and splendid drink selection + for dog friendly folk, they are also made welcome... can't wait until the next time
R. R.
Nice selection of craft beers on tap. Interesting flavours like calamansi which I have not tasted before. Pub grubs like burgers, sliders, pork chops which are done well. I really recommend the burgers as the beef was flamed grilled well and the side of onion rings was extremely crispy. Good venue with different areas for sitting. I will recommend to give this place a go.
L. S.
Great pub, has a downstairs that serves a full menu and a bar upstairs with a bit more space and big tables with a bar food menu. Good range of beer and other drinks. The chips were excellent and there were other vegan options that looked good too
K. S. K.
Nice little Brewery in Glasgow. Taste their own beers in their Taproom with view to the production. The food and service was great, and the price was very acceptable for both food and beer. We recommend getting a beer flight to try a wider range of beers.
S. F.
Awesome place. We had dinner at the brasserie after arriving to Glasgow from the States, and Drygate was the perfect welcome to Scotland. Delicious food and beer, friendly staff, cool location. Would love to go back and get a tour of the brewing spaces.
J.
Came here for a beer event a few years ago, and was blown away by the selection of local brews on offer in the competition that was being run at the time. It Was a wonderful atmosphere, with a great selection and friendly staff.
Every intention of exploring it once again the next time I am in Glasgow!!
A. S.
A wide selection of food and drink. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The appetizer was delicious! The beer was lovely and had quite a few styles. The bathrooms were very clean.
M. G.
Went for the recording o Breaking the News, staff were all super helpful, had a couple breakfast rolls that were cooked perfectly. Bought some beer from the take away section to take home and the staff were excellent taking time to explain the beers I didn't know. Definitely want to come back next time I'm in Glasgow.
O. R.
Wonderful experience! The bartenders were friendly, answered any beer questions, and the beers were excellent.
M. S.
Didn't have food but it looked amazing. Great beer choice and really helpful and knowledgeable staff. The decor and atmosphere was great. Wish it was my local.
R. C.
This restaurant/pub situated next to the Tennants factory in Glasgow has a cool rustic industrial vibe, everything from the interior to the plates used to serve the food. On my visit I had the fish and chips which was a solid fish and chips not the best I've ever had but still really good, the people I was with however, had much more interesting food than I one had a seafood tagliatelle which was his recommendation and the reason we went to the restaurant and my other friend has the burger of the day which wasn't really a burger but a spicy chicken with bao buns which looked amazing. I think it is a little expensive but I personally think the prices are well worth it.
The one problem I had with the place was the music choices which is not a major issue obviously but it did ruin the atmosphere just a little with it's 2000s pop. But like I said it's not a major problem it just bothered me a little especially because of all the other details that have been put in to make the environment cool.
Overall, a really solid restaurant I do very much recommend you eat here and I think it is a very cool place.
J. D.
Came by for a pub lunch and drinks. The beer they had was tasty, although the selection was smaller than usual. They were also out of unpasteurised Tenant's (odd sitting next to the factory). We had starters and they were very tasty. The poutine was flavorful, crispy onion rings, and wings well seasoned. However we didn't stay for mains; the menu seemed more limited than normal and nothing jumped out for lunch. I look forward to coming back, but not quite 'normal', hopefully just minor reopening hiccups. Hopefully back to five stars as the menu and drinks get back to full swing.
G. W.
A bit industrial upstairs in the bar in terms of decor but we had a booth and were happy with that. The bar was busy so queuing at the beer was the norm, not used to that in the age of in app ordering. A huge selection of beers etc on draft but not exactly what you would call cheap considering the location.
R. V.
We enjoyed our experience, nice location, lots of beers and friendly staff. We would come back to Drygate for more beers
K.
We shared 3 starters (between 2 of us) and enjoyed the cider and watching the work in the brewery. The food was fantastic and had really good flavours! Friendly staff too.
B. H.
Fantastic beer and food. The Scottish lager was exceptional, as were the mussels, curry, and fish and chips.
R. L.
Came in for drinks, but couldn't resist the food, just had some small plates but it was delicious. The selection of beers is amazing the Trinitone Raspberry beer and Orinoco Mocha stout were brilliant.
H. G.
Had food before going to a show and it was so delicious. We didn't have too much time to stay though which was a pity but we'll definitely go back and have a leisurely meal.
P. W.
We were up in Glasgow for a match at Hampden Park and my mate who's a real beer monster sorted this brewery out pre match and it certainly didn't disappoint, great choice of beers, 3 good stouts and a top class shop downstairs. Would certainly go again. We didn't try the food.
M. O.
Outstanding craft brewery and restaurant. We loved it so much we came back a second time. Perhaps a dozen taps on draft ranging from pilsner/lager to PA/IPA's, an award winning stout (+1off varietals) and a few sours. They have a moderate selection of canned beers with a two-tier pricing system (takeaway vs onsite). Beers that are taken offsite (takeaway) are priced very attractively, although it's just a couple more pounds to enjoy them there. A good idea in case you want to bring craft brew back to your homeland. It is a short walk downhill from the Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis. An excellent option for lunch (taps on at 11am, kitchen at 12noon). Cashless only when we visited. This was our favorite brewery during our 3 week Scotland adventure. Dont miss it!
M. B.
Really nice admosphere, pub food and an amazing Orinoco Mocha Milk Stout, one of the best stouts I have ever tasted. A must try when you visit this place.
C. I.
I had just one day to spend in Glasgow and I couldn't have chosen a better place for dinner and a drink. I had a lovely, flavourful saison, paired with an equally well-presented, and well flavoured grazing board and aubergine dish. Service was prompt and friendly, and overall everything was well-priced for such quality beer and food.
D. P.
Excellent brewery to visit, eat, have a small tour and taste the Tip Flight Beers on the large terrace and beer garden. Just next door to Tennents and Caledonian, its open even on some holidays.
D.
Decent yet simple core range beers.
Very good limited edition beers.
Some nice wiskies and good food

So I've held off making a review of this place mainly due to my own forgetfulness (not that you could forget this place as it really is something special)
I've been her a total of 3 times over the last year only due to me coming through from Edinburgh and this place never disappoints service is always excellent on the one occasion we came a few months back and hadn't booked they managed to get us a table and while we waited invited us to wait I the upstairs bar.
I see some people do complain about the food honestly while I can understand somepeople saying it's expensive the prices are really on par with other resteraunta and the quality I've had everytime I've been there has been excellent more recently I opted for the burger of the day while the cup final was on upstairs and it was hands down the best I've had burger was slightly medium which is a personal preference and the toppings and flavour was excellent.
In terms of beer selection everytime I feel like I'm in wonkas factory there's always so many I want to Try but I'm normally hit with some restraints (mainly time and my liver)
There is a clear reason why everytime I'm through I will happily head there for lunch my only critism is that everytime I've ordered I watch all the other food go by me and want it all.
Keep up the good work Drygate and hope all the team have a great festive period!
P. E.
What a great place. I was going here with the girlfriend for a gig and we decided to do the whole package. We booked a table and turned up an hour before the doors opened for the gig. I found the staff to be helpful and they seemed to have good knowledge on the extensive list of craft beers that they have. The food menu wasn't the normal burger and chips that you can get from other micro brewery kitchens. It had a lot of really nice looking food but we both settled for the Moroccan lamb. It was served with couscous and a flat bread. So much flavour and we both just loved it. The open plan kitchen is good, let's you see where the food is being prepared. The venue for the gig was upstairs and it has it's own bars inside and outside the actually area. The is also outdoor seating that is partially covered. I was very impressed with the whole set up and I think Drygate have just got it all spot on.
D. H.
Outstanding beers and even better food! Really impressed with this craft brewery as an Aussie visiting Glasgow.
D. S.
Always worth a visit ☺️ ,love this brewery, always come here when we visit Glasgow, friendly staff ,good food, great beer ,great atmosphere, can't fault it
A. L.
This place is jointly owned by the Tennants Brewery next door and does craft beer plus food. It's a good idea to book a table as it can be busy though it was quiet on the night we went. The food is pretty standard comprising upmarket burgers and related items but you are there for the beer which comes on a big menu with some strange names in either cask or keg. There is a huge selection at the bar. There is also a shop where you can buy beer and related merchandise. Worth a visit for a special occasion.
E. G.
Good food, fresh and tasty! Beer was very good! The only two bad points: the smell of the brewery process and too much truffle in the Mac & cheese
D. L.
The oxtail lunch set was heavenly if you can handle spicy. Awesome selection of IPA so this review is definitely biased be Im a huge hop head. The truffle mac and cheese is great too.
M. W.
First of all it took us a while to be seated for unknown reasons. There were plenty of seats available and plenty of servers walked past us blindly paying no attention, which wasn't a great start. The food was very good and didn't take very long at all to be served. The burger tasted good and was very juicy. Drinks wise they have plenty on offer, whether it be beer, gin, rum or wine - there should be something for everyone. We did wait maybe 15-20 minutes for a server to come with our bill, in the end we went to the bar to pay instead as we got fed up of waiting. Overall a nice place but the service could be better.
a. g.
Lovely place, excellent food, great beer selection. A little pricey for some of the beers but they are microbrews so that comes with a premium.
Great little bottle shop and tours available too, we went on a Wednesday lunchtime and it was still busy and popular.
R. S.
Brilliant visiting from Brooklyn closes place to Brooklyn brewery and others. Ian showed me around the brewery, since we have one down in Florida. top notch. must try if ur in the area. proper brewery experience for everyone. Love Life God Bless.
P. B.
Super dog friendly!
The other ‘local’. Huge choice of beers, beer flights and food, recommend either Fish & Chips or the Ox Tongue Burger washed down with a pint of Seven Peaks.
Fabulous friendly, knowledgeable, efficient staff who will make you feel totally at home.
Sit downstairs and watch the beer being brewed before your eyes in the on-site brewery.
Big screens upstairs for the sport in the beerhall.
You can’t go wrong.
J. O.
One of my favourite places in town for beer and good food.
There is always plenty of space to seat, which I really appreciate on Fridays and Saturdays.
My favourite dishes are duck with lentils and bacon. Incredibly tasty. However, they used to give a full thigh and leg of duck whereas now (November 2017) they’ve changed to other parts of the duck. As a result the portion may be slightly smaller than before.
I also order coconut and passion fruit rice pudding, which I love.
Apart from the food this place is well-known for the beers on tap. There are so many, perhaps about 20 beers on tap. It is such an incredible place to taste Scotland in the 21st Century!
I have been there many times and will repeat again... and again.
Photos attached: duck dish and coconut and passion fruit rice pudding.
A. M.
One of my favourite breweries! I highly recommend Bearface Lager and Disco Forklift Truck. Food has always been delicious. Staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
C. B.
Friendly staff and great with my baby today too, creating a wee bit of extra space. Excellent Covid safety and mask wearing, sadly not by the kitchen staff. Wanted to tip but the machine didn’t say anything and was already ready to go - I didn’t have cash on me, sorry! Will be back 😃
D. B.
Within walking distance of the city centre this is worth s visit.. A large selection of beers , Spirits and Cocktails is available and they do food too.
A. K.
Quite a good experience. The staffs were attentive and willing to help on making recommendations. Their dessert is recommended.
They’ve a wide selection of both bottled beer and poured beer. Ranging from sour to sweet and pils to stouts.
However, you’re not allowed to drink in the outdoor bar area after 10pm. So might not suit you if you enjoy cozy and quite environments.
S. K.
Visiting Drygate is a MUST. Fantastic range of their beers plus wine etc from everywhere. Friendly, helpful, informed and kind staff and as for the FOOD. WOW. There are some classy chefs working here. You’ll have a fab time. Go
R. K.
We absolutely loved our visit to the drygate brewery. The place has a really nice atmosphere. The food was amazing, we all had the beef and oxcheek burger as it was soooo good. We would all definitely recommend Drygate. The shop was really well stocked as well, so much choice. Definitely worth a visit.
M. M.
Stopped here before we went to dinner for a drink. Had a flight and all beers were good!
B. B.
Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, great food/drinks selection (freshest Tennent's you'll find outside of Wellpark, which is, well, round the corner) and quality food.
Recommended.
G. K.
Family lunch. Comfy seats , tasty food and delicious beer. Everyone impressed , we'll be back.
A. W.
My mom, Stepdad, and I went to this place when another restaurant wouldn't seat us. Nice atmosphere and a nice window view of the processing of beer. We ate a recommendation they told us about and the food was great. Fish and chips and burgers were great. Wonderful experience.
R. R.
Waiter forgot our meals..2 hours later we walked out finally being fed. Something strange going on with the waiters and customer service because I'm sure they could do better? Drinks were for free as a result so we were happy in the end.
A. T.
Amazing beers, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and great food, couldn't have asked for more!!
F. R.
Taken by a friend and fell in love at the first taste of a stout! Amazing range of beers esp dark ones, urban ish interior design with fantastic food and the most unique is the fact that it is possible to eat, drink and watch the brewing process behind the glass separating the brewery and the restaurant! Outside there is a upper/low ground beer garden also.😎
A.
Great selection of beer I.e. many different IDPA'S to try out. Food looked good and was popular for Saturday lunch.
B. C.
Not quite sure what to expect but what a great place. Fabulous food and great beers. I had a very malty stout.
And importantly our nervous dog was very happy.
E. B.
To be honest, this was a place I was planning to have lunch and few beers at. The restaurant is kind of a basement and on my visit, there was a bad basement kind of smell. I stayed there for a minute, just to adjust and order my food, but it was too much to bare. So just went out. I guess this is typical for the place, so if this does not bother you our take few minutes to adjust, is a nice place for food and beer. The food served on the tables was looking good and tried a Drygate beer at another bar, which was also good.
A. H.
Nice place to wander into, with picnic bench seating outdoors, in addition to the large indoor space.
The beer selections were quite interesting, with the flights being recommended if you are undecided.
A. N.
Plenty of good beer on tap, with a fantastic variety of different styles. Great atmosphere too with the different areas catering for all. The food also was excellent, though incredibly filling! Was quite happy to eat all of it though! Will definitely be back! A little clinical with its concrete floor, and the lack of soft furnishings made it quite noisy, but very minor drawbacks. Ideal for a night out with colleagues!
E. C. S. S.
They did not charge for the soup my friend did not like. Instead we all had fish and chips which we liked! Of course we tried different types of beers, it is really too much for someone coming from Efes-Tuborg world :))
S. C.
Amazing evening at the Drygate Brewery Co and only a 2 minute walk from where we are staying. Going back tomorrow evening as well and have booked husband in for brewery tour. Had the steak, out of this world, as was the beer. Thanks for a great evening.
E. W.
Really great brewery. Their beers are all delicious, with a wide variety of beer types and flavors. Good food menu as well. Their bottle shop also has a really good selection.
M. S.
Really good beer and the food is also very good. Nice atmosphere and nice staff.
J. B.
We really loved the tour and the location. Of course they also serve great and unique beer. A must-do!
L. É.
Great place. The tastes of the beers were very particular but not bad.
The food was okay and the service quite swift.
Friendly staff. A place to go.
G. R.
Great choice of beers and relaxed vibe. Food is tremendous as well, well worth a visit. It's also got a fantastic live music venue upstairs with surprisingly good acoustics.
C. J.
One of the must try restaurant in the city. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Food are great, love their wide selection of beer. Recommended to order lots of various 1/3 pint beer, it’s interesting to try out various homemade beer.
I came here on a weekday night, which was not crowded and relaxing. But if you are planning to come on weekend, I heard it is better to reserve a table online as it could be quite crowded.
The location is right in the city centre with free parking provided. Just go there try it, you won’t regret it.
p. g.
Dog friendly. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of beer. Great layout and vibe in the venue. Lovely food and a varied menu with reasonable prices.
G. J.
Great place to spend time, drink some very good beer and eat absolutely amazing food. A brewery tour is available 3x on Sundays for 10£ pp with 4 beers - 1/3 pint each, included. There is also a bottle shop with a high range of beers available. Just love it! Will definitely go back.
T. c.
Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, the drinks even better. A nice relaxing way to spend an evening.
S. G.
Great place for a beer or bite to eat. Lovely staff and a great menu.
S. A.
Out for lunch with friends, 2 babies as well and Drygate couldn't have been more accommodating. The staff were brilliant and so helpful. The food and drink as always were also top notch! A table full of great stuff for a very reasonable price! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
S. C.
Love this place - you'd never know it was there but if you're visiting Glasgow Cathedral it's just down the hill. Food great and an interesting selection of beers.
D.
Amazing beers. Specially liked the Orinoco stout and the IPAs. Ask for a flight if you don't know what to get, they'll prepare one to your liking!
E. s.
Cool venue, good snacks but good to have a bit more variation on beers
P. N.
Great Brewpub in Glasgow. They have a great range of beer to try. A flight of four of their beers and their steak sandwich made for a great lunch. The steak sandwich was delicious. They also have a small bottle shop with all of their beers and a range of other beers from around the UK to take home.
M. L.
Exactly what I hoped the experience would be. Great food, great service and a great beer selection! 🍺 Not to mention very dog friendly.
M. J.
Beef dripping chips were amazing. Love some of the beers for a while so couldn't wait to visit.
L. S.
The tours are great, really interesting. Love the beer, especially the breakfast stout. Helpful staff always willing to help you decide what to put in your flight.
A. B.
Great place to meet friends for a drink. Dog and child friendly with a wicked selection of beers. Try the flights! Good 0%/low ABV selection as well.
If you're a veggie, the options are fine, Nice sides and small plates. Definitely more of a meaty spot though.
B. S.
A very nice place to go for a drink and some decent food. We went in a Sunday and unfortunately a good few of the guest beers on tap were finished prior to being re-filled/re-delivered on Monday. Regardless of this, definitely worth a visit given the ample space and outside terrace.
M. L.
Good selection of beer. Especially enjoyed Trinitone Grapefruit Blast and Corbie. Nice vegan options on the menu and a cool space with view into the brewery. Lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere.
S. M.
Nice tour, amazing selection of beers in the bar and and nice options to sit out, in or on balcony
F. P.
The tour was fantastic - very informative, and often very funny. The beers available were all delicious, and the tour guide made sure there were tasters available for those with gluten and lactose intolerances.
R.
Great space for trying new beers with good food. Also a bonus they were showing the football!
M. S.
Great place for food - great knowledgeable staff - and wonderful beers (of course).
D.
An excellent range of beers and other drinks in a pleasant and welcoming taproom.
J. L.
Excellent service, phenomenal food. As vegetarians we felt super comfortable and they gave us plenty of options. The falafel, sweet potato burger is awesome. Definitely recommend!
L. P.
Great night out, good quality food, live music very intentive staff
F. D.
First time here. Won't be the last!
It was a good place to meet a large group of friends in conditions that felt safe. Lots of selection for drinks and the food was good.
m. V.
Fab craft beer! I tried their two IPAs, they were really nice. I specially recommend the session IPA. We sit in the upstairs terrace on a sunny day 🌞
M. H.
Some super beers on offer and a really cool ambience inside. Option to sit outside too. Loads of space. Haven't had dinner there yet.
D. T. (.
Great pork dish and beer! Highly recommend the craft beer here as there's variety and they're really good. Had really good stouts here (the one in the picture was a 6.7% abv stout)!
R. H.
Best Brew pub I've been to in years. Absolute fabulous collection of beers and the menu is lovely. The food quality is way better than I would have expected and the cost for the afternoon was very reasonable.
G. D.
Fab beer and cracking food. Well worth a visit. Have a taster at the bar before you order your beer flights. Make sure you get what you want, lots of different tasting beers to choose from.
A. C.
Pretty awesome spot, great food and loved my beer flight.
J. J.
A must do for any craft beer heads visiting Glasgow. Great beers, food also looks good however we did not eat any.
J. S.
The food was pretty good, I had a burger and my partner had the rib eye. And the beer was good too, a fine range.
P. P.
Great day out for adults had a great guided tour by Nick very funny and informative. A lot of tour takes place outside so best if weather is fair.
M. T.
The email saying considering your order it will arrive in 15 minutes... Two pints on a Thursday evening, half empty place... A piss take in my opinion. It took them longer than that 😄. The petty me looked at the time, 17 minutes.
A. S.
The beer is mediocre but the food is excellent. Mediocre beer is the expectation for neighborhood brewer. Drinkable and convenient
j. m.
Had a great night at the drygate. Excellent selection of beers. Was there as part of the Glasgow Jazz Festival. Great venue.
A. F.
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant! As an offshoot of the Tennent's brewery the craft beers here were excellent. And even better was the food. I had the Pork Black Pudding and Chorizo Burger and it may have been the most flavorful burger I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend. Very cool building and nice heated beer garden as well. Great atmosphere, wish I had time to go back! Anticipate a wait as this is a very popular place on the east side of town.
L. W.
Overall the food was above average, the service was good and the restaurant itself was impeccable.
The restaurant is positioned behind the Tennants brewery and if you didn't know it was there you'd probably miss it. The courtyard was quaint and immaculate and reminded me of a lovely summer beer garden. When my partner and I entered we were greeted quite quickly and shown to our table, the server didn't tell us her name but she was really friendly. We were given the food menu and a clip board with the list of drinks. The drinks list was on about 6 or 7 pages and advertised a large selection of larger, IPA, stout, wines, spirits and coffee.
Our drinks order was taken (larger was off the menu tonight so I opted for the Apple IPA instead, very good considering this is the first time I have drank an IPA). Then, our food order was taken by a different server who wanted to get us drinks, obviously some miscommunication between the servers. I had the Mackerel to start and David had the soup of the day (tomato and basil), the appetizers were phenomenal and I can't recommend them highly enough. The mains were a little different, I ordered the sweet potato and falafel burger which was flavourful but somewhat dry, I had to keep taking a drink after every bite, David's fish and chips were good and the standard for most places but the batter was a little soggy.
My observations of the open plan kitchen was that most of the chefs were very sanitary and would clean after every plate left the pass, one thing I did notice was one chef carrying a dirty tea towel on his shoulder, which any chef would know is a tad unsanitary. The restaurant was 5* for cleanliness and all plates, glasses, etc were removed and the table cleaned as soon as the customers walked out.
The bill came to £45 for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 pints, not bad at all in my opinion.
Also I'm extremely picky about restrooms and I have to say that, although they need a good lick of paint, they are kept to an impeccably clean standard.
Overall, I would go here again
N. d. L. D.
Very friendly staff with nice recommendations. You can actually see the brewery part through a glass wall while you're enjoying your beer.
S. R.
Great beer selection and tasty food. Definitely worth a visit.
S. S.
Great place with great service. We went for an afternoon drink on a weekday. Huge selection of beer. Rosemary fries are delicious.
E. N.
Excellent beers in a very relaxed space
L. B.
It is a busy place but still has an intimate atmosphere, amazing food and great drinks. We weren't rushed or given the bill in advance. Just generally an enjoyable place to spend a saturday night! If you're lucky, you get a seat by the kitchen/prep area where you can watch the food come out...it all looks delicious!
J. M.
Great experience. Guide Alice was excellent. All had a great insight into a Glasgow institution
J. M.
Great beers and great food but quite a slow service. Not much attention paid by the staff, they mostly stood together chatting rather than offering drinks or taking away empty plates. Even seen someone have to go find staff to buy beers from the bottle shop because no one seen them enter, or checked to see for themselves.
s. k.
We took the tasting menu of four mild and four string beers. It's a must visit place when in Glasgow.
S. D.
Great place to eat and drink locally brewed beer. Try the beer tasting board for maximum enjoyment.
Note that the online reservation system usually claims there are no tables available when there's ample space in reality.
R. H.
It was amazing!! every staff was friendly, the food was perfect and Drygate Pilsner was really good. +reasonable priced. 추천합니다 꼭 가세요! 버거 꿀맛.
K. S.
Cute brewery with good food and a nice beer selection.
L.
Great service and amazing food. The veggie burger is one of th best have tasted! 🍔
S. C.
Food was 1st class and so was the waitress that looked after us would certainly eat there again
T. P.
Amazing food and beer selection. Would frequent if I lived in Glasgow.
I liked the beers that I tried here which included the oatmeal stout and their hazy IPA. Solid beers!
I was not expecting the food to be as delicious as it was. My wife got the curry and I had their soup of the day and poutine and they were all phenomenal.
We walked to drygate from George Square which wasn't too long but it was sketchy looking at night.
M. U.
Very good selection of beers. Very interesting and lovely place, it has a great layout and is very spacious. However, the prices are rather expensive, £12 for a vegan burguer quite small size...
Also, the personnel were very irascible and not great to us. They had a tone of exasperation and bad treatment to the clientel that was very annoying. They seemed busy and maybe more people were needed, but that's not a reason for rolling eyes when someone asks for 2 minutes to decide what they are gonna drink.
M. W.
Off street secure parking and a great industrial vibe, friendly and attentive staff, beers were outstanding (Stouts/porters) poutine was well worth a try, mains were a little overcooked (all 3) would try again for sure.
K. B.
Overrated, beaf was soaked in fat, potatoes undercooked. Only fish and chips were good.
S. T.
Great beers! Reckon the place could go with a more casual vibe (it feels a bit restauranty) but otherwise it's great!
J. J.
Burger of the day was fantastic, tennents unpasteurized on tap which is very drinkable
T.
Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice beers.
B. M.
Great scottish food to accompany the large variety of tasty beers brewed on the premises.
r. k.
Great selection of beer and surprisingly fantastic barley risotto... Great ambience and lovely staff.
S. H.
Polite and welcoming staff, good service and incredible food. Will definitely come back when visiting Glasgow again.
D. N.
Excellent beer selection and pricing. Chill atmosphere. Friendly service. A must visit.
L. G.
Good beer, good food, was a blast. Ate there in the afternoon so we didn't had to wait at all.
A. K.
Nice beer ✌️ loved it
D. C.
Great atmosphere + beer selection. Perfect way to pre-drink before visiting Necropolis 😂
T. P.
Cool looking place with good craft beers, large selection. Great to go with a group of friends, would not recommend for a date or anything formal. The staff was friendly but not great at their job, and the chips were the saltiest thing I'd ever had. Would go back for drinks in a group. Don't expect much from the service.
R. B.
Food was really good. There is great atmosphere to this place. Highly recommend it!
N. E.
Impressive range of different but well-executed beers. Food was good, too
C. B.
Food was great with brilliant service and show was great well worth it
M. J.
Lovely wee brewery. Nice family vibe for food and a few locally produced beers. Would recommend. Had burger and 3 thirds of a pint. Wife had fish and chips. Really tasty and good size. Great outdoor area.
b. h.
Went here for a drum clinic so my review is really this as a venue for live music.
Sounds amazing, and the beers awesome just be careful it's strong.
D. W.
Nice brewpub with large selection of tap and bottled beers. Not the cheapest place in Glasgow. Nice outdoor areas for when the weather is nice.
B. C.
Great selection of beers! And amazing food especially the black pudding burger! Cosy but spacious atmosphere too and attentive staff. Would highly recommend
J. H.
If i could give 6 stars I would. Great food, fantastic drink menu, prompt service, and the staff all looked like they were having a blast at work! Don't miss it.
T. K.
Delicious beers and great food. The staff was nice and the location is nicely designed and offers views into the brewing rooms.
A. P.
I discovered Drygate Brewing when visiting the Cathedral. Went in for a drink and enjoyed so much the beer and the nice atmosphere that we decided to come back next day. I recommend the Scottish breakfast, it was amazing. The staff is friendly and prompt.
K. F.
Amazing beer, food and peeps! If you haven't been here you're missing out !
A. W.
Good advice on beer choices. Great staff always willing to help and crackin food.
P. J.
The food is good and the staff are attentive. The beers are nice too
J. M.
Interesting location of a restaurant in a unique brewery. You can see some of the factory stainless steel tanks while eating or drinking. You sit on rustic wooden benches at wooden tables. The acoustics made the place hard to communicate and the place felt quite noisy. The food was tasty but would not deserve a Michelin star. There are plenty of beers with odd names to choose from. There is free parking possible right next to the gate. Currently temperature checks are required before you enter the restaurant.
B.
A great experience. Our drinks were running late due to a ticketing issue but this was quickly resolved. Also really enjoyed the steak.
A. I.
Went with friends to brew beer and it was great. Had a few beers which were excellent and the food is awesome too. Highly recommended
I. C.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Very tasty food. I had sea bass and chilli noodle salad
P. S. D.
Kitchen close at 21:45 (9:45 pm). Great please and experience
L. P.
The food was fantastic and the staff made the place even more magic.
Ps.: the best fries I have ever had
C. S.
Great food, decent beer, nice venue with friendly staff.
S. L. (. L.
Incredible beers but their steak frites are next level! Served blue with garlic butter - wonderful!
L. G.
What a fab venue! Staff were beyond lovely and special shout out to Eddie on the door, absolute smasher 😊 can't wait to come back!
B. H.
Great ambiance, beers, service and food. Always a favorite
D. H. (. F.
Excellent service and really impressive food. Nice ambience and good venue for stag party.
A. M.
Brilliant craft beer/ale in a very funky environment. Highly recommend getting a "flight" to try four or more drinks.
E. L.
While I absolutely adored the Berlin-like atmosphere, and the beer selection is good they are probably understaffed and the staff working there isn't as friendly as they could've been. The app ordering system is not great, and the food while quick was way over salted. The fries where almost inedible that's how salty they where. I would come back for a beer, but not for the food.
L. W.
Great, rotating selection of craft beer, with the kitchen providing soul food to soak up what yer sampling. ;)
N. T.
Great brewery taproom. Was really looking forward to trying the beers as down south they're lesser-spotted! The Chimaira (Helles/Bock) was superb. Also stayed for dinner, food was great, good veggie and vegan options, might have seen a bit more variety on desserts but that's fairly standard for any tap room in my experience. Attentive, friendly and accommodating staff.
J. C.
Great grub & great beer - enuff said!! 🍻🥣
A. Z. S.
Awesome food. Try the pork belly and the duck breast. So delicious!
P. C.
Went to a BBC recording for Break The News. Fab events space. Great toilets, reasonable bar prices and lovely friendly staff. I noted the lovely smells coming from the kitchen below for the cafe.
M. D. Y.
Very good beer selection and good burgers 🍔
K. S.
Great staff, excellent beer and tasty food. Nice views of brewers at work. Highly recommend.
S. F.
It may be attached to Tennant's Brewery but this is the furthest from Tennant's you can get. A ridiculous selection of bottled craft beers from around the globe alongside a revolving door of beers on tap. Get schooners or half pints so you can sample more without ending up on the floor!
A.
Great chill place, beer and mood
D. M.
Nice staff! We only had a coffee but beers were very tempting. The inside is definitely better than what it appears from the outside!
t. n.
Great place for some craft beer and excellent atmosphere. Didn't eat when we were there but the food looked and smelled delicious.
D. C.
Great selection of beers. Can have a flight of 4 if you can't make up your mind. Food was excellent as was the service.
L. B.
Lunch at Drygate was awesome. Great food and even more amazing beer. If you’re nearby, STOP BY!!!
J. C.
Nice place first time here, will come back. No cash just card payment
D. A.
All food and drinks currently to be ordered via app. Service good, but food wasn’t that great to be honest. Lots of places around serving much nicer food. Lovely decor though, and I’m sure has a great ambience during normal times. Good precautions in place for corona virus. As you would expect there’s a good choice of beers and would recommend you stick with the alcohol only!
D. M.
Excellent selection of beers, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
M. H.
Good choice of beer, bit slow service but with a large group
K. K.
Really good beers and great food!
P. M.
Nice quirky bars and good bar meals. Good service. Staff friendly and helpful.
C. B.
Brilliant venue and bar. Covid rules and guidelines are followed and staff are superb.
B. D.
Great place for beers and food. Lots of big tables if you're going with a group.
E. D.
Great beer, atmosphere and food.
A. 5.
An excellent brewery tap with a great selection of Drygate and guest beers. Easily walkable from the centre.
D. N.
Very nice selection of beer and whisky and friendly and helpful staff
F. L. E.
Fantastic beer and very cosy! First time I've ever had a Indian Pale Lager.
S. G.
Big selection of interesting beers to try out in a nice setting
c. e.
Tasty beers. Lots of seating. Very reasonably priced
A. M.
Delicious food, great beer and friendly staff!
J. B. S. I.
Completely over performed what I expected from a brewery. Top 5 meal of my life. Great beer. Pictured is the duck.
m. d.
Great grub great booze. Great night out
S. M.
Great outdoor space and some pints you won't get elsewhere tried a braw one that was like expresso martini. Certainly different
D. V.
Nice food, easy going atmosphere. Nice view of the brewery itself.
M. G.
The food was great and the drinks were even better. The variety of quality liquor was fantastic. Tried an 18 year Whiskey and was not disappointed. The servers were younger but very attentive and friendly. Would recommend this to anyone coming through the area. It is also fairly close to the airport. Great for large groups and will not disappoint those with a taste for finer alcohol.
T. M.
An amazing brewery with amazing beer. Great atmosphere, plenty of space and good food to boot. If I lived in the city I would be there most weekends no doubt. Well worth a visit.
S. M.
Very cosy,enjoyable place,nice staff.
J. R.
Great selection of crafted beers. Let down a little by one rude waitress, all other staff were great.
J. M.
Visited a few times for food and drink, didn’t think too much of the food. There’s often a long wait to get things from the kitchen. Menu is a bit out there - ox cheek burger? What even happened to normal beef burger?
They have put a lot of seating into the restaurant and the small bar area is almost forgotten about so it can be difficult to find a seat sometimes. Shame since it’s a brewery you would think they would want to focus more on the beer?
Great selection of rotational beers on offer. I was surprised to be charged £4.50 for a can of disco forklift truck when it was sadly not on rotation. Given that it’s brewed there and you can get a can in Tesco for less than £2, I’d have expected a fairer pricing strategy?
Overall would recommend.
C. L.
A very friendly and welcoming place to socialise. Dog friendly and they are treated like small stars by the staff. I had the vegan burger which was very tasty.
C. B.
Awesome service and excellent food. The beer selection is great, but I've sticked to their own beer, no regrets! Female Bartender was very knowledgeable about all beer options and was able to recommend me one of my liking. I've had a beer burger and it was also very good. 5 stars, super recommended!
B. S.
Great modern beer & good grub to match.
Friendly and accommodating staff even when we arrived without a booking on what seemed to be a busy night for the kitchen.
Great selection of beer available in the bottle shop from local breweries and those from the other side of the world.
They do brewery tours as well which we just missed unfortunately.
If you want to explore what Scotland craft beer has to offer then this place is a must.
N. M.
This is a little gem of a place! Interesting tours and interesting beers
A. E.
Great brewery with some amazing beer 🍺 and food 🥘
R. W.
Fantastic venue. We experienced it attending Big fish Little fish on a Sunday afternoon, the brilliant family rave event. The staff are great, always very helpful and cheery. Fantastic food (especially the burgers!). The venue is large and open with quirky details. It is family and dog friendly too.
L. C.
Great place in every regard- lovely staff, fantastic food and even better drink. Definitely recommend.
M. B.
Awesome venue and bar. We attended a friends wedding reception upstairs and had a blast. Bar staff were great, they kept the queues moving but still spent time to help you out. Fantastic beer selection. The bar area downstairs is a great place to meet for a drink and a blether.
P. F.
duck leg and featherblade steak are amazing!
P. G.
Incredible venue. Food is perfect. Portions are very satisfying. Burger, steak, soups. All good.
There is a big collection of beers. Definitely recommend trying a few of them.
Service is great and fast.
During the summer you can also sit on the outside area and watch sports on the big projectors.
There is an upstairs area for a 'club-ish' experience. It's not open every night.
L. S.
Fab place! Great food! The gingeraffe dessert was epic!! Lovely place to chill. Would recommend!
c. r.
Nice big beer garden with great food available, about a 10-15min walk away from merchant city.
k. b.
Great selection of beer, great food, great music!
B. Y.
Lovely food and good beers. Can go with family for lunch and dinner with friends
S. D.
Great beers, with a core range that they keep all year long, plus seasonnal/experimental ones that keep changing, always interesting at the very least, really good almost all the time.
They also have a selection of Belgian beers. A small selection but at least they have some, which is rare up here.
Really friendly place, enjoy the beer garden on sunny days.
Please note that I've not had the food there, so I can't judge/give feedback on this, but I was told it's really nice too.
S. W.
Great craft beer location. Now well established on the Glasgow scene. Great for their distinctive beers and some pretty good food. They also run a whole range of events which are varied and great fun.
J. A.
Great beer, great venue, great food and great staff, what more could you want.
B. L.
Had a burger the other day and was pleasently surprised. Yes I know its only a burger you would say but I have a burger regularly at different establishments if out and about and I was very very happy with this burger it was freshly made and was full of taste and texture, melted cheese running off the side. Oh my, getting hungry just thinking about it.
Can honestly say it's the nicest burger I have had in a long time.
Looking forward to the next time
P. B.
Great place for an afternoon of drinking. Plenty of outdoor seating for when the sun is out. We drank most of the beers that were brewed on site, and enjoyed them all. Food was good too, really enjoyed the lamb pizza.
A. L.
Phenomenal brews, solid menu. Huge thumbs-up.
j.
Had been going here since not long after it opened a few years back until I moved away from Glasgow. Whenever I’m home, I make an effort to visit. A huge selection of interesting beers on tap and bottled. They also serve decent food and have a little takeaway shop for buying some interesting beers. Beer hall style upstairs and a very good vibe especially at weekends with a nice mix of clientele. Recommend for beer fans.
I. L.
Went here for lunch mid week so fairly quiet. Fairly typical pub grub, burgers, fish and chips and the likes, but one or two fairly unusual options, e.g. venison. Well prepared and good service. Unfortunately, wasn't able to sample the beers, which from past experience are good.
G. C.
The beers are great. The space is great, with view into brewing area.
Food however, has gone downhill. And the service was beyond casual. Had to go up to get their attention twice as they just stood and chatted amongst themselves. Shame, really.
S. ç.
I went to the concert here and it was good for the concert. And also you can see the brewing area which is cool.
C. L.
Great place! Good atmosphere and great staff. Really good selection of both draft and bottles and they even got their own bottleshop inside the bar. Lots of seats both outside and inside. If you are in Glasgow and you like good craft beer this place is the place to go.
D. H.
Amazing selection of drinks and plenty of seats. Has a great outdoor seating area for when the weather is warmer.
Great for a crowd as well as for a quiet burger the day after. I recommend the chicken burger with triple fried chips!
i. g.
Family of 5 went for dinner on Friday night at 7pm. Hadn’t booked so a challenge to get a table. Lots of draft beers but no Amber ales - which is my preference. Had a Brisket Bun and fries. This turned out be a regular over cooked burger with some mushy pulled brisket on top. Disappointing for the £15 price. Other burgers that the group looked similarly over cooked and dry. Server didn’t ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked when he took our orders - which I should have realised was going to lead to the burgers we got. On the ambience front the music at 7pm was a shade too loud for a dining area - difficult to have a conversation across 5 people.
Overall my wife and I wouldn’t return. Other microbreweries do it better.

Great place for a meal. Awesome food, great beers and very friendly staff. A brilliant experience
a. p.
Great place for lunch and to pick up some craft beer from the shop
D. G.
Stayed in an Airbnb near here and this became our goto spot for drinks and snacks. Decent selection of craft beers and ales but a few more choices would go down well. Food is good and the staff were very nice.
A. C.
Good selection of beers. Good natured staff. Great venue for Celtic Connections late night sessions with plenty of space to chill out away from the music if you need a break.
C. S.
This place has a great atmosphere, very laid-back, the food is good and the beer selection makes want to stay even longer. I had their milk stout which I liked, hopefully one day I'll get a chance to try some more.
J. F.
Great staff, and good gluten free options on the menu. When visited had a separate fryer for gf options
L. H.
Visiting the brewhouse restaurant was a delight. Beautifully cooked, hearty food which was perfectly complimented by the excellent, very reasonably priced beer on offer. Portion sizes could be a little larger. The building itself is very quirky. After the meal we made our way upstairs to a private ticketed music event, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the preformers were incredible!
M. S.
Drygate is legit. I had a beer flight of IPA, lager, hef and stout. All of them were ace. The highlight was the Drygate beef burger. Fire.
L. Y.
Attended a couple of comedy shows at the venue, never had any issues and decent priced bar too.
G. L.
I adore this place. They are hosting my small intimate wedding and have been so accommodating with everything. Blair is a great guy, and the staff are so laid-back and lovely as well! That, and the FOOD IS TO DIE FOR!! They can even accommodate for Vegetarian/Vegans and make it tasty!
M. M.
First time visit with a friend. Will definitely have to return.
A. M.
Good space, not what I expected, didn't have food so will go back and do a review but good tunes and service. Very pleasantly surprised
J. B.
Great venue, went to see the Vintage omnibus, friendly atmosphere, although seating a little random, left saying,we will be back.!!
S. W.
Great night at the brawcast. Choice of spirits are limited, no Jack Daniels! Also quite a cold place with hard seats
C. C.
I was unaware that I even done a review let alone rated this place 1 star.
This is a very good establishment , nice food and good atmosphere. Definitely be eating here again.
Apologies for the phantom review 🤷♂️
J. W.
Good beer including gluten free larger. Has an industrial vibe with a good atmosphere.
S. R.
I had a half pint and the most delicious hot chips I've ever had here, when I went to pay my card declined (so embarrassing!) but my waitress was SO lovely and said not to worry about it, it was on them! So, so lovely, 10/10!!
A. M.
The surroundings are a bit basic and the service could be a bit quicker. However; the choice of cask and keg beers is fantastic and the quality is spot on. As for the food, would be difficult to find a better burger anywhere in Glasgow. And the chips are sublime. Will be back.
T. M.
Fun Brewery to enjoy some extraordinary beers. Nice industrial charm !
J. D.
Warm atmosphere with excellent staff who made us feel very welcome. Beer was pretty good too - Imperial stout was delicious
t.
Very nice little place to meet up and enjoy some of their tasty beers and food. Staff are friendly and helpful.
T. L.
Large beer selection, nice sunny patio.
O.
I really like Drygate. It's a fantastic place to live clost to. Since it's a large venue, there's always been seating available, so it feels like a safe bet to go when out with friends. There are always great beers to be had, and pretty decent hearty pub food. Excellent place for hosting events as well.
D. M.
Great beer. Good burgers.
A. R.
Booked on the tour and for food. The tour was alright but there was no beer on the tour which seems essential for a brewery tour. The free pint afterwards was good but could have a used a taster or 2 on the way round the brewery. The food was good and the portions were huge!
T. L.
Very nice place right next to the much larger Tennent brewery. Flights are available and they have a mix of their own beers and other local breweries. Prices were good for drinks, did not try the food, but they certainly looked popular for a weekday.
Y. S. T.
Incredible selection of fantastic beer. Food was unexpectedly good. Fish and chips and pan fried scallop were amazing! A very good place to relax and hang out!
L. S. L.
Best chicken burger in Glasgow by far! All their food looks amazing and there are some really nice waiters and waitresses. It can be quite noisy and I'm not a big fan of their beer (but they also serve other beers than their own so that is good).
J. K.
Well organised for Covid-19 safe lunch with family.
Good selection of beers, maybe for later after pandemic rules end though!
Also dog friendly and handy for walk in the Necropolis on a clear day. Great views over Glasgow and beyond.
C. A.
Went for a meal midweek, still a good atmosphere and busy without being too packed. So many different beers and ciders to choose from you can keep going back to try different drinks. Friendly atmosphere and good venue. Well worth a visit
J. C.
Great vibe and atmosphere, water available to help yourself, avoids having to queue for bar staff to dispense to you.
K.
Absolutely fantastic experience, gentlemen that took care of us had a lot of knowledge about brewery and beer in general. All the staff was lovely and the view from the restaurant/bar bit into the actual brewery was great, very entertaining I would recommend it to anyone!

Cool vibe in the outdoor beer garden. Went on a perfectly hot sunny summers day. Tried a paddle of beers, only a few of them appealed to me but that’s the nature of a tasting paddle I guess. Food was fairly standard, nothing bad but not spectacular.

A little out of the centre of town, this place is worth a visit for beer and food during the day and beer and music in the evening.
They make their own beer which is usually very good. There's a wide range of styles in bottles and on draft.
I've seen DJs here in the evening and there's a decent soind and room to dance.
P. W.
Great bar food but with an extra twist like ox cheek jerk on the burgers. Wow! Amazing range of beers both from the brewery and other brewers. A great little bottle shop for take out too, with reasonable prices. A must- do for beer lovers in Glasgow
J. N.
This is must see if your in Glasgow. This great craft brewery resembles many in the US and in all the right ways. The selection of beers is pretty crazy for a small place. The cask English pale ale was excellent. As a bonus, they're a restaurant as well! The fish n chips weren't bad at all. Be warned, there wasn't much parking, if any, so go on foot to save the trouble.
T. L.
The food was lovely...the garlic mushrooms were fantastic.. my husband enjoyed the variety of beers.. the staff were very friendly and helpful..
D. F.
It's got everything I want in a brew pub. Great food, good beer, nice interior. I also took the tour here, which although I have taken many other brewery tours, was entertaining and the tour guide was engaging. There's also a small bottle shop with some good finds.
W. H.
Good selection of beer, however everything is done from an app right now so very little staff interaction. Facility is nice and clean, only stopped for a pint but the food looked really good.
C. W.
Drygate Brewery took me by surprise with how great it was. It's spacious, serves lovely food, and has a nice atmosphere - especially in the sun as they have lots of outdoor seating. They have a big projector up for watching the football at the moment too. They have a really good gluten free pilsner on tap which is useful to know for anyone with a sensitivity.
Definitely going back someday soon.
L. R.
Food was really tasty, beer was great and they were very clear and responsible when it comes to operating by covid guidelines. Would happily recommend.
D. D.
Nice place, nice staff and nice beer. But table service needs staff to be more attentive to customer needs.
R. K.
One of my favourite places in Glasgow. The beer taps are full of home made beer and guest beers from £3. The bottles in the fridge are incredible as well. Food is great, downstairs is more restaurant and if you upstairs you can have pizza and burgers. Great atmosphere sitting in the shadow of the actual brewery.
C. B.
Beer terrace is awesome in the summer. Good food for reasonable prices. I'm not a fan of craft beers but the Drygate Apple Ale is pretty tasty! (in bottle though, for some reason the tap version tastes different and not as nice)
M.
Great beer, very moderate decoration and atmosphere... Could have done so much better with a help of an interior and a landscape designer.

This is long overdue, but my wife and I had our wedding reception at Drygate in August 2018 after being married at the city chambers (we're both Americans who fell in love with Glasgow and Scotland years earlier). The staff were incredible. Blair was beyond helpful and we couldn't have done it without him. Everyone enjoyed their time and it was the perfect place to celebrate the marriage of a couple of beer lovers from America. Glasgow is really the greatest place with the warmest people in Scotland and we're so glad we could celebrate here and throughout Glasgow with everyone we met.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Music was far too loud, and not very good at that; we saw folk coming and immediately leaving. Food portions were small and quality was variable, with some items being delish and others (eg the chicken wings and terrine) not tasting fresh, or overpowering (eg delicate mussels flavour being drowned out by the strong pancetta flavour). The beer was great.
M. S.
Wonderful beer and tasty food with good vegetarian options. We dined here with my parents and we had a sample of all their beers which was a fantastic way to start our evening. The sausages and mash were succulent, the fish and chips fried to perfection, and the falafel burger delicious. What a fantastic surprise when desserts arrived and met our high expectations following the successful dinner, the Drygate doughnuts are mouthwatering! Please try them, a real killer!!!! Excellent service too.
B. G.
Really nice staff, big variety of beers from all over Europe. Also delicius Fentimals, botanically brewed drinks!
J. A.
What a fantastic place!
Great drinks, great food and brilliant service. Definitely worth a second visit, and I'll be back!
K. B.
Always in love with this place! Best pints in Glasgow and the food.... You just can't go wrong! Dog friendly and staff are first class. Highly recommend.
J. M.
Delicious beer with plenty of outdoor seating & a nice ambiance

Been a few times now and I remain impressed. The range of beers is quite extensive for what is still a rather small brewery. What I like about this place is that, from the restaurant and bar area, you can see the brewing room. Not been in during working hours but I can imagine it adds another dimension to your drinking experience when you can watch a potential future pint being brewed right before you.
The place itself has a bit of rustic/industrial chic to it. Wooden tables and chairs meet bare breezeblock yet it makes for a charming place where you could easily see a firepit going at night whilst a group huddle round, have a chat and enjoy a drink. They don't have a firepit but they should.
The food there is typical of any pub or bar and hasn't disappointed. The staff are casual, friendly but always professional. If there's an issue, just grab a member of staff and they'll be right on it to sort it out. They're also very knowledgable about the beer that's brewed and sold on the premises so, whether you have no clue about beer or are a complete brewhead, they will be more than happy to talk to you in detail about what they make.
So then, my summation of Drygate is that it makes for a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy an interesting beer whether you go there specifically or as part of a walking tour of Glasgow. Being located next to Tennents and very close to the Necropolis and Glasgow Cathedral, it's a very worthwhile stop if you're a local or just visiting.
P. S.
Very friendly staff, absolutely amazing experience, great selection of beers. Unfortunately burgers buns along with the fries are a bit too dry and the coffee wasn't the best. Loved the slaw though.
K. J.
It's a decent pub with great outdoor seating. Has plenty beers available and good pub food. However the use of plastic cups when it gets mildly busy dropped it from 5*. As pointed out below there is a carpark for DD's! Bathrooms are decent.
S. D.
Brewery with restaurant, bar and car park. Great choice of craft beers mainly IPA style. Food freshly cooked and great quality. Friendly staff and service. Just next to cathedral.
C. K.
We tried here because we saw online that they accepted dogs. They even provided a little bowl of water for Mila, our dog, which was really nice of them
Alot of the staff would come up and give her a wee pet, they were really nice :)
The place is quite trendy industrial with some cool music in the background, definitely a trendy place to go
We ordered the burgers and they were cooked perfectly, genuinely one of the best burgers I've had around Glasgow
They came with a portion of chips that are cut so thick, they were heaven
We did a bit of a nosey and saw some plates of fish and chips go bye and they looked the business
Would definitely recommend to go for a burger and a pint, being a brewery they do have a decent selection of beers
Dogs are more than welcome which is really good and they have a function room and decent outside smoking/deck area
Would definitely be good during the summer to sit outside and have a pint!
Overall impressed, food was good and staff where friendly and it had a decent atmosphere , definitely recommend a visit
G.
Very good pub grub, the burgers were excellent even the chips had loads of flavour. I was with a group of about 20 and the staff made a good job of matching up people to orders. A bit of a walk from the city centre.
V. C.
A really cool place where you can see the brewing process while having a beer.
The service is not excellent, the people working there could not be bothered!
Other than that, the craft beers are interesting and worth trying!
C. R.
Great place for a night out. Huge tables, great beer fun staff.
K. B.
Awesome pub next to Tennant brewery
S. C.
A very trendy Glasgow spot, indoor/outdoor seating with a good menu, lots of great beers and live sports. It also has a large event space in which they hold craft markets, live music etc..
It's close enough to the town centre to walk and it has options for vegetarians/vegans.
Unfortunately the service was not great. The food arrived quick and was perfect but I found the guy behind the bar to be rude and there was some confusion within the service team.
J. M.
Went on the "Through the glass" tour which was fantastic. Great selection of beer and very interesting and comprehensive overview on the creative process of what you are sampling. Make sure you ask for Chris who is simply one of the best brand ambassadors of a craft brewery I have encountered!
S. H.
This is a brewery cafe that you could take a non-drinker to, the food is so good. I've been a few times now and we have always finished everything, special mention for the flat-pack sandwich, and the vegetarian risotto, both were excellent. And as for the beer... Get a flight, there are so many options! I was a bit gutted they had stopped 3/4 of the ones I tried last time, including the only IPA I've ever actually liked, but they had new options which were also excellent- and the staff are more than happy to help out with suggestions and recommendations. Oh and there's a bottle shop inside too... Beware it's quite exciting!!!
L. M.
The vegan burger was amazing. Would definitely recommend booking as it was quite busy, especially on weekends. Service was great as well.
s. k.
Just back in Glasgow after a few years living in Canada so was pleasantly surprised to find this place had opened near my flat. It's seems like they have some decent events happening on a regular basis, there was a market on when we visited. They also have a good beer selection with plenty of rotating taps to choose from, to eat we had fish n chips, cauliflower salad and a side of mac n cheese. Both our mains were really good but the mac n cheese side was not great, the cheese sauce tasted of nothing but garlic and the texture of the sauce and pasta reminded me of the stuff you get from a packet. Overall I would recommend this place and we will be venturing back to sample some more beers.
S. H.
Food was amazing and gig venue was great. Staff really nice and fab service.
G. T.
At a wedding reception here great selection of beer on tap and friendly staff, well worth a visit
d. d.
Visited last night as part of Celtic Connection (Dalgres) the upstairs event and bar area. The concert area was excellent, great view, great sound and the beer was awesome. Downstairs was very busy on a Friday night with food being served, booking would be advisable. Overall a great night at Drygate.
J. H.
Superb selection of cask, keg, bottled and canned beer ales and lagers.
Good wholesome pub grub.
Well priced beers and food.
No rip off.
Beer hall bench and table decor.
Not to everyones idea of comfort.
But the beer and food make up for the decor
A. R.
The place is really cool, lovely environment. The beer selection is great! Plenty of choice. Food is OK but service is a bit slow.... they took a long time to bring the food.
M. M.
The burgers and triple cooked chips are to die for. Out of space and glad eye beers are the best according to my better half whereas the Spanish vino is too enjoyable. Nice surroundings and really lovely staff make this place a pleasure to visit
T. M.
Excellent night, but maybe a bit on the expensive side.
M. H.
Drygate have an amazing range of fantastic beers both in-house produced and from guest breweries. The food is superb and the premises, very child friendly. The staff are always happy to help, friendly and are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about beer.
M. F.
Great atmosphere with long tables like a German bier Halle. Great selection of tasty craft beers. Just a shame the part we were in shut so early on a Friday evening.
G. F.
We came here for the kind of pre-wedding event last week. We had SO much fun. The pizza was great, food was delicious (albeit pretty expensive) and service was good. The BEER omg... Huge selection and everything I tried was awesome. I loved the West coast IPA and the mango.... Something. Also, I'm not a huge fan of sweets but they have a cider that tastes like strawberry jam.
C. N.
Fab friendly staff. Huge range of beers including a large number of their own brews. Very laid back atmosphere. Loved it.
D. E.
Excellent menu and beer selection. Servers were prompt and helpful with menu and sight seeing info. Food was unique and well presented! We will be back for deserts 😎
I. R.
I really enjoyed it here, the food was great and the atmosphere is appealling. The only down side that I had was the tour. The guide was not confident with public speaking and as a result spoke like a machine gun on speed. This was compounded with a thick Glasgow accent!!!
A. P.
Good food and good drink. Nice atmosphere, and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. I asked what dark beers were on tap and they immediately grabbed four glasses and let me sample them all.
D. l.
Good bar, liked how you could see the beer being brewed as you enjoy a drink.
S. R.
Good microbrews, there's not really a bar to sit at so this isn't the best place to go alone. Great open spaces with big tables so would be great for groups. I saw a big group do a brewing tour
K. L.
Urban market every second Sunday is brilliant. Dog friendly and very clean. Beer is beautiful and they have a nice little bottle shop too. Really friendly staff and prices are great!
B. M.
Really nice. Good good good food.
A. G.
Great gluten free options and cute dogs
M. R.
By far the best place i had been during my scotland trip. Really enjoyed the atmosphere there and especially their friendly staff. They've got absolutely amazing beer as well as delicious food. Would absolutely recommend it!
D. C.
Great place to see an event, show or talk. The ability to 'taste' a wide range of Drygate's self brewed beer also helps! Good for food apparently; although I never had some to verify the other reviews!
K. F.
Outstanding service and great beer! Tried the mango pale ale ...very flavorful while the scotch ale was smooth and rich tasting. Recommend pairing with the sour dough and dips
S. S.
Plenty of quality craft beer on offer, including a few guests. Food looked great but wasn't sampled. Great venue for anyone seeking out good beer.
H. C.
Nice attentive staff. Large list of beers to choose from displayed well on the menu. Tasty lunchtime food menu. We were served quickly and the food was lovely!
W. H.
Beers are great, could do with more guests, but the service is below par. Waiting for every order and the bill when the bar isn't even a third full.
C. S.
Didn't have food so cannot comment
G. C.
This was my first trip to Drygate Brewery and I was very impressed. They have a wide range of excellent beers, brewed onsite. The bar staff are happy to let you sample the beers and are very knowledgeable. Food was excellent too.
B. A.
Excellent tour and excellent beer. Particularly impressed with the extensive knowledge by the staff member who led the tour. I'd highly recommend.
Didn't order food but it smelt amazing.
S. N.
Drygate is all about some grt beers comes from their own brewery, Awesome place... grt food... fantastic ambience and fantastic people ( Staff ) around.. they really make u comfortable ... must visit!!
C. M.
Food is okay, so are the drinks, staff helpful and friendly
K. T.
I visited Drygate on a Saturday evening as part of a table of four. The upstairs bar was closed and the downstairs bar and dining area was busy, so since we had no reservation, we were forced to move tables twice during the time that we were there. This isn't a massive hassle, but it would put me off going back without booking first. The draft beer selection is just okay - the craft beers aren't particularly exciting or varied. The bottled beer behind the bar might be better, but there is no beer menu so it's difficult to know without standing at the bar for ages. The beer selection in the bottleshop is better, but it is offsale only. Food on the menu downstairs just isn't worth the money - it's attempting to be high end, but the ingredients and presentation don't really stack up. The food that the upstairs bar serves is better all round. Overall, Drygate is frustrating because it could be excellent, but the combination of service, food and drink prices and menu choices always take the shine off. I'll probably stick to visiting for a few outdoor drinks in the summer and the odd trip into the bottleshop.
T.
An expensive but worthwhile night out. Offers a great range of Drygate craft beers plus over 50 or so guest beers so you will be spoilt for choice. Excellent beer garden in the summer otherwise plenty of space inside when it's cold and wet. Also has a dedicated indoor area for hosting live music events.
G. T.
A brewery the also has a popular bar /restaurant. Food is very nice and the beer selection is great. There's a good bottle shop with a variety of international beers along with drygates owners offerings. They run live music and comedy events there along with a small market (check their website for details). Not too far from them merchant city and very handy if you are visiting the necropolis.
A.
Drygate hosted a zoom beer and cheese tasting for my work team last night. Jamie was top class and the beer, advice and cheese were absolutely excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.
C. C.
Very stylish venue surrounding the brewery itself, with glass panels giving you a view of the process. Wide range of beers available, plus excellent food.
A. K.
Excellent! Good range of beers of all kinds, very good wine, great venue.
Covid safe!
D. M.
Great for sitting in the sun trying new beers.
B. R.
Really friendly staff serving a fab range of beers. Such a nice atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon too
E. D.
American style hipster brewpub but don't let that put you off!
Located in the baleful shadow of Tennent's Brewery, which the barman was at pains to tell me they have nothing to do with.
Fantastic selection of beers; funky layout with outdoor seating for when the weather obliges.
g. f.
Great food and a great range of whiskeys all of which are promotional . The table service was delivered prompt and with a friendly manner all at reasonable prices . The window in the restaurant looks on to the brewing drums that makes the lager not sure what they are called but it is a nice touch . Caters for all party types and sizes good for birthdays stag and hen doos
T. G.
Nice place to kick off. Big but not crowded, it's good not to sit in other people laps
T. D.
Granted, with Tennent's being involved in this microbrewery joint venture you'd expect it to be well turned out but Drygate certainly doesn't disappoint!
This place is huge but doesn't feel cavernous. The craft beer menu is strong, if slightly centre-of-the-road, and the food is excellent value. There's ample seating inside and out and, upstairs, there's another bar that serves up events. Sundays feature live DJs spinning some reggae.
The kind of place you could easily settle in for a long afternoon session, which is just as well as there's not much else nearby. Drygate is worth the trip, though.
B. M.
We had dinner here on Friday. The pizza was really great. But the fried chicken was absolutely devine. Good vibe and so many different spaces to sit.
J. D.
Huge selection of beers, draught and bottled, their own and from others, including bottleshop takeaway. The knowledgeable staff give great service. The downstairs restaurant offers a varied menu while more casual grub is available on the upstairs, beerhall-style benches. They show the sports up there as well, if you like the sports.
C. W. T.
Excellent food and beverages. Try the beef dripping chips and low alcohol specialist brews.
A. V.
Friendly staff, cool environment, indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly, good beer.
M. S.
Great beers, great outdoor space in summer time, the music is good (also it's not stupudly loud) and the food is much better than it needs to be. Go there, you'll enjoy it.
J. P.
Working away in glasgow and saw the place. Looked once looked twice then thought...hmmm a quick drink tasting... then next minute i was loving it.
Great atmosphere and good vibes... fantastic selection and the food was lovely.
Would recomend to all, noticed they also have events such as comedy, food tasting also the odd rave great day out in my eyes.. 🍺🍺
B. Y.
Great variety of beers, really something for everyone.
Food is good, albeit maybe a little pricey for what it is.
Dog friendly too
E. O.
The food was great, the beer was great, and the atmosphere was very cool; the only reason they lose a star is because on a relatively quiet Sunday evening our server was pretty slow and inattentive. Otherwise I do recommend!
L. M.
We really like this place and cycle here a lot for dinner and drinks. The menus are a little confusing though as you can only eat some things out side and sometimes different areas can be closed off for events. So you kind of just have to show up and see whats what when there. Recommend it though :)
R.
A nice place inside with some interesting beers. I will be back to try some food. It smelled absolutely lovely
S. G.
Cannot recommend enough. Fantastic food, great selection of beers & very friendly staff. Would visit again anyday & recommend you check this place out if in Glasgow.
M. W.
Large selection of beers if you're into that sort of thing but also a decent selection of spirits. Food is also fairly good with some decent options available
The lunch time steak sandwich is excellent for the price.
D. S.
Extremely busy for a Tuesday. A lacklustre welcome at the door, although staff did get friendlier as the night went on. Beef and ox Cheek burger very tasty. Sadly, bottom of brioche bun disintegrated as it was soaked in grease 😥
L. B. (.
We stopped here for lunch on a day when they weren't offering tours. They have a variety of what I would call "upscale bar food" (with a few vegetarian choices) and a predictably large craft beer selection.
C. M.
Love this little gem of a place. I was never a beer drinker until I came here. I have been converted!!! Must confess I have never tried their food although it looks amazing.
J. M.
big areas for decebt sized parties. I don't drink but the people I were with were all over the mango beers. the world waits till I stop drinking to make drinking interesting 😁. anyways big screens for football in a plus and love music on the go at times too. cracking food and decent vibe in here.
A.
Exceeded every expectation. Beer was great. Food was great. Service was great. Highly recommend.
S. R.
This is the place to come and chill with your friends to have a nice cold beer (or other type of drink, they sell both) and the food here is amazing! The atmosphere is awsome and their beers are delicious.
M. V.
Loved all the beers on tap. It had a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was pretty good too and the staff were very friendly
P. M.
Really nice lunch and brilliant selection of cask and craft beer as well as other drinks. Staff efficient and attentive so really enjoyed it and had a nice time.
D. G.
Great music, good section of beer, atmosphere is just right~
B. C.
Great food and drink. The music was very loud and thumping for a Saturday afternoon. If the ambience was a little bit more relaxed I would have rated it higher.
J. S.
A great brewery with an excellent selection of beers and some pretty nice food. It is an active brewery so you can see the workers working on their next creation from where you sit!
J. M.
Lots of taps to choose from. Great sun trap when Glasgow is lucky enough. Drygates own beers range from the orrible to the delicious - so try your luck. Food upstairs in the bar is decent. Few open spaces where they hold comedy shows/beer festivals etc. Worth the stroll out of town.
A. M.
Loved this gin tasting night well worth money and met some great people too.
M. E.
Great beer, great food, didn't have a reservation but they still found a place for me!
B. N.
Cool decor, great beer and really good selection to choose from.
P. D.
Great selection of beer.
Very on trend industrial looking decor.
Serves food but not to my taste.
Wouldn't rush back but I'm not "trendy"
