I’ve been here a few times for drinks and it’s a nice place to sit out and enjoy the world go by. Visiting post-pandemic, the restrictions don’t take away from the experience. The waitress who served us was really lovely - happy to stand and chat for a minute. The toilets could be doing with some maintenance work - locks, doors, toilet seats all in need of repair. Otherwise they’re clean but I’d expect more of a place like this. The only down side was that a lot of the gins we wanted to order weren’t available. It’s also not cheap - between £8-11 for a drink.

I had been to Cup/Gin71 before, but not for a long time. The service was excellent and remains a lovely little hide away. The tea and food menu had been reduced since I last went but still has quite an interesting range. Great tea and coffee. Got the breakfast bagel and it was packed with lovely sausage, omlette, hash brown and bacon on a seeded bagle. It was tasty but very dense, neither my husband or I could finish it. Nice, but will not be rushing back.

I never written any review. But Gin71 hits every point of my expectation and recommended me the Glasgow gin which is perfect on the rock. Of course the service was amazing. First time in Glasgow and I felt welcome here. People who like Gin should explore here.

I love Gin71! The merchant city venue is a hidden gem too, with outdoor seating and a bit of peace in the midst of the city centre. The drinks are ‘reassuringly expensive’ and they offer non gin cocktails and wine if gin isn’t your thing. The staff are quick and friendly. I had breakfast here recently which was ok, not the best I have had around this area though but I would go again for brunch.

Loved the marquee area outside the actual restaurant as there were no tables available inside. There were blankets on chairs and heaters dotted about too as it was chilly out. My friend and I had enjoyed lunch elsewhere and just stopped in for a glass of wine each before going home. Plenty of staff, all wearing masks and sanitiser on the tables and track/trace on the menus. Loved the atmosphere and ambience and will return

This has to be the best gin bar in the UK. Seriously, it has everything!! Unique concept, unbelievable gins, when the suns out, the best setting and the waitress was class as well! Great to see a English girl working the Scottish crowds as well in there!. Can’t wait to head back there soon!!

OMG 😃 what a lovely dining experience we have just had here at Gin71 They have got it just right the food, the timing between courses was spot on the service perfect . The Waiter Lewis was charming!! We bought an Itison vch for the 5 course taster menu wasn't sure what to expect but my goodness the chef has got it just right.. there was a choice of having complimentary gins or wines between each course at an extra cost which we found was a fair cost and so informative and useful for us to take away we will be definitely returning in the near future.. highly recommend this restaurant ☺️

Fantastic range of gins (and lots of different tonics). A lovely outside setting if you are lucky enough with the weather. I was impressed with their COVID precautions and felt very safe during my visit. The staff are very knowledgeable and can help you select a gin if you are stuck.

Place is busy but always manage to get a seat even if you need to wait. There's plenty of room downstairs and up. The prices are great for food and drink. And good options for the kids too. Staff are lovely despite how busy they get. Always our go to place when up in Glasgow.

Love the selection of gin available, the afternoon tea is very filling and the food on the regular menu is too. Came here one night for the tasting menu- would highly recommend! Can be pricy though which is why I've taken a star off.

I really enjoyed this place. As someone who does not actually drink booze, this place is great because the mocktails and fruit juices are dead tasty. But all of the drinks look good and the people there were really nice. Good service. And isolated away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre whilst being smack in the middle.

What a great time! My friend is in town and she is gin drinker so what other place would we go?! The gin menu was overwhelming at first but our waiter explained the whole thing and made it so much fun! We went with flights of gin which are so creative and so good! The food also was wonderful!

What can be said, if you like Gin this is the place for you! It's all Gin, with every kind of mixer you can imagine. I saw extremely limited food offerings. The location is in an alley, which is cool and laid back. There is a steady flow of foot traffic that make it feel like you are not too off the beaten path. The place doubles as another restaurant/bar during part of the day. It was around the corner from our hotel but it did not become our watering hole. Like I said, if you like Gin this is the place.

Hidden away in Merchant City this is a fantastic spot for the gin lover. We had the gin flight giving a nice sample of 3 different find accompanied with prosecco and macarons. Great way to spend a Thursday night.

Nice, cosy establishment, or it would be if the door wasn't opening every 5 seconds. We were only in for drinks and I kept my jacket on the whole time but I felt sorry for those who were eating as there are customers and wait staff opening the external door constantly. It will be much worse as winter bites.

It's a bit hushed and 'coupley' inside - not much of a buzz to it. Menu is a combine your own G&T concept, which should be simple, but the menu doesn't make it so. Actual drink when it came was very nice. No options for bar snacks, which was a bit of a disappointment. Unless you want to spend all night gazing into your partners eyes, across the melting ice in you G&T glass, there isn't much to keep you there beyond one drink.

Visited this branch of Gin71 today (15/2/20) with the Mrs and absolutely loved it, we were served by a young chap Declan who was absolutely brilliant nothing was a problem all staff very good and efficient and had a wee catch up with Michael the manager, over all fantastic experiences again and will definitely be back and would Highly recommend.
