Rough old bar but not in a bad way. A time warp. Even has an old tabletop arcade game. I have removed one star because a three course lunch doesn't cost £1.20 anymore

Love this place, my whole family have come in here for lunch for nigh on 35 years now and we all adore it. Had my first trip back after all the lockdown madness for lunch on Saturday with my friend, this is my go to place for birthday lunch every year! Isabel is fab and always knows what we are going to have. Superb service and terrific value, please don't ever change :-)

Myself and friends start our regular monthly Saturday day/evening out at the Star Bar. What a great start it is to our day out, we arrive just after 3pm and leave about 6.30pm. Great prices and service with a smile from the staff, and Andrea in particular. The measures are 35ml. Therefore, we only have two pints each, and then it is on to the doubles! ☺ The live entertainment from Ronnie and Kenny must be the best in Glasgow, and it is Free!! Music to suit everyone, from the 60's to the present day, keep up the good work guys!!

Second visit and they already remember my name. Everything you want in a bar...the lounge side is my favorite. The customers are somehow more friendly than the staff (who are amazingly friendly). Come in, chat for five minutes, and have instant friends.

Has a great local feel with friendly and people. The food it great and cheep berfore 14:30 you get a three course meal for £2.50 after that you can get fish,chips n peas for £3. They did jus put the cutlery ect without setting it and they took the sauce away before i finnished my meal but it's no big problem for me. Also had a good pint. All in I would recomend it to anyone.

The star bar is a glasgow institution, and an honest to goodness wee belter of a place where anyone would feel welcome and catered for. I often go there on the way home from the office and i go out of my way to visit when I can. Very reasonably priced and 3 sheets for a smashing 3 course meal is crazy value. I encourage everyone to give this cracking wee shop a try. Best pub in glesga!
