Great pub staff brilliant. Had my retirement do on Saturday night nothing was any bother for the staff very attentive. What amazing atmosphere everyone friendly. Highly recommend can't wait to visit again.

Food amazing. Huge portions. Everything freshly cooked and piping hot. Fish and chips fabulous. Service slow but they did come and explain and apologise there was a problem in the kitchen. Toilets very clean and staff friendly. Definitely recommended.

Good quality standard pub fare at very good prices (2 for £10 all week is hard to beat). Difficult to pin down the atmosphere, as it seems to switch between a student pub and a local depending on the time of day, and also sees regular visits from 'sub crawls'. Staff are generally helpful, and we've been going back for years, as it's quite local for us.

This is our local. Really good pub. Mix of customers, some old some students. Best bit is the staff. Can be a pain getting served sometimes due to its layout but you don't mind as it's got a really good vibe. Sunday Roasts are amazing value and tasty.

Great wee pub. Dog friendly. Pity about 1 particular staff member who insisted on shouting at us about the rules instead of talking to us like a human beings. Wont be back because of her and her alone. Shame lovely pub but experience was ruined by her attitude towards paying customers.

Popped in on a rainy afternoon, hotel very close.Staff were really friendly and Karaoke was on , so we decided to stay for a bit of entertainment.The Karaoke lady, whose name I forget , was , very pro active, very nice to all clients. We were entertained by the regulars and enjoy our 2 hours. Worth a visit.

Jackson's is a good pub near the centre of Glasgow - perhaps one of the best - where I had some good draught drinks and food as well. Great prices for the daily lunch, with only 3.5£ you can be really satisfied. But let's come to one of the best parts of this place. The Sunday Roast. It's one of the best in the entire city and a bargain for its price (5£). Tasty, delicious and a good portion as well. Last, but not least, the staff has been very kind, specially with a foreigner like me, who still has to get used to the glaswegian pronunciation. I can't wait to go back and pay a visit.

Excellent food and really lovely staff. Pop in for a drink and you could be here all day due to the friendly regulars or Michelle and her karaoke sing-alongs. Just a brilliant bar, get yourself along.

Went in for a quick drink only. The staff were friendly but no one had stocked up the fridges from night before so diet coke instead of water. Looks like it's popular with men of all ages.

I really like this place. Reasonably quiet, good food, good beer selection, very chill. Also, £5 Sunday roast is great! They show sports, and it's got a fairly regular crowd of old men, it's not super hip and young, but I like it because it's relaxed and you can chat without fighting over loud music.

Sports bar for locals and visitors alike. Original brickwork with modern touches decor. Drinks cost a tad more than elsewhere, but the great attitude of the bar staff compensate. Worth a visit.

I have attended Jackson's a number of times with it being closest to my flat. I enjoy the atmosphere and find the staff very friendly and helpful. The beer selection is ok, if not extensive, and the food is a good standard. Jackson's often has live sport and has a lively vibrant atmosphere most evening's. Make sure you get here early or you may not be able to get a seat!

Great little “old man” pub near cowcaddens subway station! Well priced. Also neatly decorative fish tanks around the seating areas with real fish which was pretty cool. Nice place for a local drink plus free wifi. Also a wee section of books to pick up or leave your own!

People tend to forget about Jackson's, but it's ideal when you are a bit tired of the usual City Centre places. Food is brilliant and an ideal venue to catch the sports if you don't want a jam packed noisy pub.

Jackson's is a great wee bar offering reasonably priced good food and drink. Clientele is fairly mixed with student types and then the older guys nursing their pint and hauf. good selection of beers, wines and spirits and big screen tellys positioned around the bar regularly showing the big matches or whatever top sports are on that day. Very handy for the Centre of town and within a stones throw of Sauchiehall street and also Cowcaddens subway station.

Went for sundy roast, was disappointed with the meal, the plate was cold, that made the food cold, the meat was chewy and only a small wee slice of beef on plate!!! Must be a new chef ? As this place used to be great for food.

Welcoming staff, great service and a roast beef Sunday Lunch for a fiver, old fashioned values that have been forgotten over time, with a Chef that has pride in his presentation that the apple pie was something looked and tasted, wouldn't look out of place in a 5Star restaurant would definitely recommend and return to this place.
