It's ok. The decor is quite modern. The staff good. We went for a deal on 3 starters. They were small. Don't expect to get full from these. But were quite tasty. If you are wanting a side with drinks it might work, but not a substitute for a meal.

Wetherspoons style pub but with a lot more character. Live sports on TV and music playing in the background. popular with the locals and can get busy on a Saturday. Good amount of seats and a large selection of draft beers. Not as cheap as the nearby Wetherspoons but overall would say its a better atmosphere and a more mixed crowd.

Good atmosphere for a few pints, waiting staff and the owner (James) were very friendly and accommodating. Decently priced drinks and lovely food, would recommend coming to this establishment 🙂

I was in yesterday after 12 I was greeted and served by Karen, I had the haddock chips and a pint of larger. The fish was cooked perfectly. Nice clean pub great prices and very helpful staff will definitely be back and I will recommend the james tassie to my friends and family

It's a Spoons and, if you like Witherspoons, it's a good one. Big and cheap for both food and booze. Only Street parking and busy. But plenty side streets and shawland center a wee walk away. Good cocktail pitcher deals across all Spoons but strength depends on who's serving and can be variable

My husband and I are regular customers at James Tassie. The staff are very friendly and nothing is a bother to them. Both Joe and Charlie go out of their way to accommodate my sometimes strange requests. The food, although typical pub meals, is tasty and presented nicely. I would recommend Tassies to anyone looking for a pleasant place to have a drink or meal.

Good food at reasonable prices. They have daily food promos. There must be a dozen tv screens showing various muted sports channels. I think for big events they put the volume up and offer specific food and drink deals.They play quiet music the rest of the the time. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. It is a wheelchair friendly venue. The toilets are upstairs which is always annoying.

We managed to come across this dog friendly pub that also serves the best Scottish breakfast ever. Everything cooked to perfection and piping hot, just the way I like it. Staff were very accommodating and offered a bowl of water for our wee dog Faith. The bowl was plastic and I explained the Faith was fussy and only drank water from a silver bowl. Yip our wee dog proved herself to be too posh for plastic. My daughter nipped out and purchased a silver bowl, so 3 delighted customers, emptied our plates/bowl. We left the bowl behind the bar for other posh dogs to use until we visit again. Thanks again to the bar staff and chef on this morning. Anne-Marie, Aislin and Faith.

I like the place. Drinks are good and cheap hovewer yesterday we tried food for the first tjme and we were not satisfied. I ordered veggie soya burger which was burned and hard as a stone. It was very cheap byt still not worth it. I would rather go eat somewhere else. Also disabled toillet smells very bad... Reccomeneded if u wanna jump for quick beer.

I recently visited this pub after hearing some good reports .... The pub is very clean with fantastic sport coverage on huge tv screens around the premises.. The beer is great at prices which has to be the cheapest around, also I ordered some food which was first class and again very reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly. I will be visiting again All in all I would recommend.

This is a basic Barras pub with average food at a reasonable price, deals on cocktails and very sports focused. At the weekend they have a DJ and is usually filled with a younger crowd. It can get very messy with spillages not being cleaned up as quickly as they could be as the staff are overworked at the weekends. The staff are friendly and as efficient as they can be.

This place is alright for a wee pint and I presume some food to, though, I've never tried it so can't recommend. Only been here to have a beer on the way home to do a bit of reading. I've once seen a couple of under agers hanging about here but they were swiftly moved on, just trying their luck for a cheeky drink :)
