I went to MacSorley's on a Saturday night. A live band played, the crowd was lively, and I had a fabulous time! It was the first pub that I patronized since I have been in Scotland. Thanks for the welcome MacSorley's!

Been dropping into this place for a pint for years when up in the city.. Nice horse shoe bar... Nice surroundings... Staff are always pleasant.. Usually get a wee bit off food... Nice wee venue for live music.. Though most off all it's always a good point...

Visited with my mother and daughter. Enquired at the bar if it was ok for children to be in there for a drink. Was told yes up to 8pm. Ordered a drink sat down and about 5 minutes later was approached quite Rudely by another member of staff demanding that we could only stay if we ordered food for my child!

Cool bar, good selection of drinks (when available) lots of taps off on Wednesday evening when we went. Weirdly the best part was checking out all of the posters and artwork on the way to the toilet 😳 YIKES

Inconsistent door policy. Dropped in last night for a drink with a few friends and the big bouncer on the door said "You need to wear mask". Others complied but I don't wear a face mask, trying to explain that I'm exempt but he wasn't for having it. I pulled out my exemption lanyard which I Iuckily still had on me from work earlier and put that on and he let us in, but not without quipping "You just got that online, didn't you?" (Well technically yes, that's how you get them). We then saw several others being allowed in without face masks (mostly females it has to be said) so guess it was just a test to see how difficult we were!

I was there as one fifth of a band entertaining the crowd during COP26. The bar was very busy and the customers all good natured and enthusiastic. The staff all very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend all to visit here and enjoy the hospitality.

Class pub. Great atmosphere. All wooden decor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. 3 x chicken burgers with haggis and chips 6 beers and a kids meal 55 quid. Tea time Sunday when we visited so can't comment on night time trade but would visit.

I was out visiting the Xmas markets at St.Enoch Centre when decided it was time to go in doors for a few drinks with my family. We went to MacSorleys and the was pretty busy being a Saturday night. We managed to get served reasonably quickly and the live band was great. We had a dance and a few more drinks because the atmosphere was buzzing.

We got to experience macsorleys on a 40th birthday party who travelled over from northern Ireland last October 2020. Brandan was a fantastic host and so was all there staff. Caller in here after getting a bite to eat in advance lib. There was a relaxed atmosphere from the minute we entered and the live musician was banging our good tunes. There was also some people up dancing, adding to the convivial feel. Thought the draught beer selection could have improved though.

My husband and I went on 30/11/13 to hear the jazz. Its a nice atmospheric pub but the barman (with the baseball hat) overcharged my husband by £2 for a vodka and lemonade. He charged £4.50 and when I questioned it he refunded me with no hesitation. It left a sour taste to be honest and I dont like a pub where you cant trust the bar staff. Will we return? maybe but will be checking what we get charged.

Nik is amazing! We wandered in for a pint and stayed for hours because Nik is engaging and personable. He made us feel right at home at Macsorley's even though we are very far from our home in Southern CA. Macsorley's is a great place with a fantastic selection of beers and great food!!

Visited MacSoreleys a short while ago and have to say I thought it was one of the best venues we found in Glasgow. Friendly, great service and drinks, and enough music on every day to keep even the most hardened aficionado happy! Girlfriend didn't want to go in, I can only assume coz it wasn't posh enough, but when her Botanist gin and tonic was served in exactly the way she wanted it, without instruction or asking, her little face lit up, and I knew we had a home for the weekend. Find it, visit it, enjoy it......and say hello to the manageress (I assume), who is an absolute delight and made our visit even more memorable.

Rowdy old school live music Irish boozer with polite big lump geezers on the door. Decent selection of drinks. Ceilidh style band on when I went who played modern and traditional songs in the ceilidh style. More smiles and atmosphere in 2 minutes in this place than in 50 minutes in the massive crappy boring soulless Wetherspoons opposite. Be warned though, the bar staff are busy and you need to be pro-active to get served. It’s like my old mum used to say....”Shy bairns get nowt!”... Would recommend for a visit.
