Reviews of Maggie May's
M. U.
Mixed late bar with laid back bouncers and friendly staff. The under enthusiastic DJ plays anything from Deacon Blue (!) to dance music and keeps the crowd happy. Some of the clientele can get a bit over-boozed but that's to be expected at 2am!
D. M. D.
Friday night out with my work colleagues. Decent place with live music. Price for a pint just under £6 which I thought was a bit pricey but it is the city centre.
Only 3 stars because it is card only. I prefer to use cash, I didn't have my card on me but thankfully had my phone to pay for drinks.
L. E.
Welcomed by friendly & professional door staff. Inside the bar the service was superb with a wide choice of great drinks. The live music was excellent to create a terrific atmosphere!
E. C.
A fabulous night with friends at a favourite space to go to. Love the new cocktail menu, but miss some of the old food. We used to enjoy the mixture in cluckin' chicken, so if there's anything we would change, it would be that, please! On the whole, we still love our nights at Maggie May's.
J.
Great atmosphere with loud, live music. There are quieter places you can go to chat as well. Drinks are decent and all round nice venue.
A. M.
Great vibes, friendly staff, and this vegan chicken burger is the best thing I've ever eaten (vegan or otherwise)!
A. M.
Good venue for a beer or live music, watched the football and it wasn't too busy, the live music was great. Prices decent for merchant city, good service, what's not to love apart from the queue generally if you turn up at the wrong time because it's a great bar
E. L. (.
Delicious food! The servers/bartenders were friendly and helpful with confused tourists. The food we got was awesome and reasonably priced! The mac and cheese rivals American mac and cheese (and I'm saying this as a native Georgia girl!) The decor was unique with album covers from a variety of rock artists from the 70s-90s. Very cool place, highly recommend checking it out!
8. w.
Changed it now pretty decent downstairs is good size but the size of the toilets they are tiny I hate it! And I've not tried the food still, but it's a pretty decent place still good atmosphere
T. H.
I wish I got the servers name! She was friendly and knowledgeable, a pretty blonde who made us feel right at home... The food was better than standard pub fare and there is a decent amount of vegetarian options. Drink options are many and if you're into gin, this is the place to go! Live music is nightly!
T. D.
Nice place for a Night out.
Service was pretty Quick and great atmosphere and a band playing.
J. B.
Great location and nice to get a seat outside, only downside is card only payments. I'm a barber and most of my clients pay cash so this was a bit embarrassing when I offered to buy first round amongst friends only to find it was card only I understand this is a relatively niche issue for most and in no way will deter me from returning. I scored 4/5 as I'm a big craft beer drinker and they never had any IPA/apa on draft. Love the venue and decor though
R. A.
Nice place to hangout for drinks with live music and band.
D. M.
Have been in before and really enjoyed the burgers but was a little dissapointing on this occasion. Got the southern fried burger but it was more batter than chicken. Still decent for a quick bite to eat in a good venue, will be back to give it another go.
S. T.
Stopped here for a drink and a meal before a concert at the Barrowlands. Food was good and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.
v. d.
Outstanding night.......defo made up for the fact Guns N Roses were cancelled!!!!!! I totally rocked in here!!!!!
F. G.
My partner & I used to go there a lot. It was always a bank holiday weekend treat. Sunday evening dinner then Maggie Mays till the wee small hrs, but we began getting turned away by the doorstaff - last time we attempted to visit was following an evening in the Pavillion Theatre. We walked across town to be turned away at the door. Maybe we're too old now?
B. W.
Went for beers at the weekend and decided to have a hotdog. It's supposed to be black pudding and haggis. Whatever was on it was burnt to a crisp, The hotdog was like rubber. Others had burgers which looked edible.
A. C.
Maggie's is a Glasgow staple with its dirty burgers. Unfortunately since lockdown the choice of local and craft beers seems to have been significantly slimmed down as apart from the Heineken stalwarts there only seems to be 2 Williams Bros. Big shame as the choice used to be more extensive
B. D.
Front end staff is nice. Live music is good. Kitchen served me a sandwich like this. All the burnt was intentionally turned to the inside.
What an embarrassment.
P. B.
Maggie may's is ok. The service is ok as well. When celtic game finishes it does get very very busy but not overun.
I did not eat so not sure about the food. The screen to warch sports are placed in all locations. There is also a failry big screen as well. It is unlikely that someone cannot watch sports live.
A while back they used to have live music, I have not seen it for a while...
They have Seating outside as well. Not sure about heaters.
A. C.
Went in on a Sunday and music was good, drinks are reasonably priced and food is very good. Macaroni cheese toastie is recommended
A. T.
The place has got a good vibe and plenty of options to choose from at their Bar.
c. m.
Great food and drinks! Can get very busy - especially when live music is on.
s. m.
Nice place. Great staff. Magic cocktails.
A. R.
Lots of TVs for sports, themed cocktails, big portions for dirty fries, quick service, and lots of tables for big groups
p. s.
Decent place with good TV sport options. However it is very expensive for many drinks
H. C.
Food was amazing last night- the chicken was absolutely beautiful! Bit expensive though. Also found it weird that the toilet doors were wide open- could see guys at the urinals and a few women said that men kept accidentally coming into the ladies, thinking the ladies toilets were in another section of the venue
L. F.
Good place to catch food, a few drinks and sometimes a live band 🍻🎸🎶
I. C.
Lovely, friendly staff, great food and good music. Absolutely love Maggie May's.

.
Really nice thin cut fries. They do several other types of chips as a side for your main but from a choice of six they only had two. I chose thin cut and they were just as good as McDonald's but probably twice the price. The main meals served in this place are so small I was tempted to order something from the kids menu to see how they could reduce the size and still charge money. The food is tasty but the portion size is far too small for all the dishes my group ordered. Also the cheese sauce on the macaroni was very watery. On top of this, the staff act like they are trying to be friendly but give the impression that they are over worked and always have something else to rush to do. The outcome being as soon as you sit down they are asking for your order even though they haven't given you time to look at their small menu. They also seem to huddle together the eating customers into one corner of the food area leaving half the place looking empty. Best thing I can say is that their chips are nearly just as good as McDonald's
C. J.
Food was amazing and didn't have to wait too long for food to arrive. Cant wait to go back.
c. l.
Was excited to go here then was really dissapointed. Payed £8.50 for a mocktail . When it's advertised at £5.00 for cocktails. So really didn't understand why the mocktail was more expensive. Cool decor and lovely staff . Just a bit pricey for drinks .
M. W.
Had the whiskey go go haggis burger with skinny fries and was delicious! Also had a live band playing which help add to the atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.
K. M.
We went as a group of 15 people. We had some drinks, a few guys in our group ordered the veggie burger - chick pea. This was burnt. I didn't enjoy it much.
But there was live music, and it was a good day out.
f. m.
Staff were great , we were in a hurry and they served our food in double quick time, food was excellent too. Seemed to have a good atmosphere and the act which had just come on also appeared quality. Which we stayed as our show was cancelled when we arrived. Will be back. Only 4 stars as we weren't then long enough.
J. “. S.
You can go hear to watch NFL! The only drawback is the cost, great life music, nice staff.
N. 2.
music far too loud toilets tiny and musty, staff really friendly
M. v. E.
Nice, friendly pub. Quite a big place. They have 4 large T.V's and so I presume they watch football & other sports. Prices were good. Various seating choicez
s. d.
I stay across the road from this establishment and have only been in once or twice. The 5 stars is for the professionalism of the front door staff. Efficient and professional and without a doubt some of the best in Glasgow.
From watching from the window, of my
own flat to personal experience these guys are top of their game. Asking a patron for a light for my cigarette they quickly realised i was no threat and quickly and quietly sorted me out without any drama or hassle.
I have been fortunate in my younger years to be heavily involved in the security industry and I'msee these guys doing a great job in a sometimes extremely hostile environment.
C. M.
Great staff & brilliant atmosphere. Lovely place
L. A. C.
Not the best draught beer or cider. Good music though.
A. P.
Cool spot. Has a nice underground zone as well seems great to party or drink before a party. Had the deep fried mars bar, which, kitch as it sounds was delicious
s.
Great place for a drink with good atmosphere and the staff are great
A. S.
They don't put the commentary on for football, so if that's what your going for it's not the best.
M. B.
Food was excellent, service was friendly, drinks were perfect, and the atmosphere was fresh. Deep fried haggis balls were the perfect way to say I tried haggis. They were delicious by the way.
L. F.
Great night with a fun live band. Bar staff were friendly and just great atmosphere throughout.
D. Z.
Had a nice pint over there.
Rock chill atmosphere, would recommend 🤘🏼
M. S.
Amazing, food was fantastic and brilliant staff. Shame about lockdoen because I can see this place having a great atmosphere. Worth the visit if you're in Glasgow.
d. w.
Good sports bar if you like golf..A pub that only took cards..
F. L.
Lovely friendly staff, good service and food was delicious
m. b.
Fantastic music and cocktails. Live music was banging.
A. D.
Went to see our wedding band, breat atmosphere, good selection of beers n spirits, we had food aswell which went down a treat, defo be back
K. L.
Food was really good as was the cocktails 🍸
J. C. A.
Very nice environment with very good beers. They are keeping really good safety rules due to covid with proper social distancing.
M. L.
Good burgers, longer opening hours, good service!
s. d.
Brilliant service and brilliant night playing Guns N Roses and other rock tunes all night
C. S.
Great pub in centre of the city!
E. G.
Nice Spor Bub with friendly people and live music.
B. T.
Great pub, great atmosphere, always good music with something for everyone
K. Q.
Great place at any time of day, love the food and love going for drinks too. Dog friendly and staff are great!
Y. Z.
Most amazing experience at Maggie May's. This was my first visit to Maggie May's and we immensely enjoyed the four hours we spent there, the most hospitable and welcoming and friendly place we have ever visited in the city of Glasgow. May long it continues in future.
J. W.
Having the choice of adding goats cheese is always a winner for me, but the massive slice here? Heaven!
D. R.
Newly refurbished great atmosphere, good food .
A. H.
Great pub in the center of Glasgow. Really friendly staff and doormen. Will definitely visit the bar again.
S. G.
Had a lovely time here... The live music and all is awesome.. Real fun to hang around
J. M.
Good music & reasonable prices on drinks
L. W.
Decent wee venue, we arrived late and stayed late.....staff were on the ball, doormen were a delight great wee venue....despite the rod Stewart connotations in the name.....!!😂👍🏻
I. R.
Nice place to watch the footy during the day. A wee bit of a different story in the evenings. The band was really loud and the queue for the bar was three deep. Stayed outside for the majority of the night to be able to hear myself think. I would return but only during the day.
T. C.
Cracking pub, live music venue also. Big shout to blue milk who were on when I was in. They were awesome. Food was great too.
W. R.
It was either 3 or 4 stars only because it wasn't absolutely amazing food that I'd come back for. The burgers were OK, not bad but not on the level of some of the other outlets in Glasgow. Service was also ok and the same was for the atmosphere. Space is large so plenty of seats. I would give it a go if you've never been but don't expect this to be the best burger you've had.
S. C.
Great venue, live music is quality
S. C.
So glad this place reopened! Came in the other day for a few drinks - the girl at the door was lovely and informative about the drinks collection, our server took our order quickly when we sat down. The buzzers for the drinks don't seem to work though, but we were sitting near the bar so could see they were ready. Overall good experiance, so pleased Maggie mays is back
S. D.
Dunno if I'm just getting old, or the musics getting worse in Maggie's.... Used to be Indie, Rock... Good tunes, went in and was pish 00's, 10's dance music, disappointed.... Should have made the trek upto Firewater
P. G.
Very nice place food excellent and the staff are so polite and can't do enough for you love the place will be back very soon
B. B.
Recently been refurbished and looks great. Some good live acts on in the evening and opens late (3am) too - although expect bouncers on the door. Best place to go after a gig at the Barrowlands. Good selection of drinks but they aren't the cheapest I won't lie.
The food looks really nice too (but I haven't tried it myself).
P. K.
Great place and family friendly
L. H.
Good food and drink at a reasonable price. a range of different types of seating depending on if you want a meal or just a drink. Friendly and efficient service. I watched a football match in here as they had lots of big screens. I'm not sure what they show when there is no game on. I would go back here again.
C. D.
Always have a great night in here, good music, nice door staff and bar staff.
A. C.
Good drinks and atmosphere
I. M.
Great night . The staff are first class and very friendly. Thanks for a memorable retirement do.
J. K.
Nice place, friendly staff, good selection of drinks. Dj was really bad though, unmatched beats on CD decks? Song choices were good and eclectic but the chosen order made no sense and whatever he was trying to do was not working out. Room for improvement definitely.
Y. P.
I used to like this place more than I do now. I feel like the bar is pushing out single customers like me as the lounging chairs have been replaced with tables and chairs. That aside, this bar is pretty good. I've always enjoyed the food and drink. The staff are friendly and the bar has a good selection. The general vibe is good as well because it's a live music venue. My only gripe is that over the last couple of years, they've ousted the laid back singleton customer. The menus have good Scottish fair, which is appreciated. They play sports most Sunday afternoons. So I would find it hard not to enjoy myself here. I just wish they would re-implement the relaxed atmosphere from before, rather than convert the bar to a restaurant.
W. W. (. W.
FABULOUS food and friendly staff 10/10 The waitress with the lovely long hair with amazing green highlights was very nice, helpful and friendly. The macaroni and garlic bread were AMAZING 👌😊👍
R. M.
Went with a group of friends for a drink before a prearranged event and found it a little expensive.
A round for 3 people, ordering a Morreti, a Dark Fruits & a John Smith's was around £14 which just seemed too much for me, however I'm not a city centre drinker & that could be town rates.
The food being served looked great & the servers & bar staff were attentive with enough space to stand or sit but still .. a little dear for me.
D. E.
Fantastic food and a great selection of drinks. The staff are very friendly and eager to help, especially Niki whom I have spoken to a couple of times. Only one criticism, the seating is a bit naff, and the dining area resembles a cage. Other than that, it's a great place to go.
C. D.
Really cool vibe paired with an extensive drinks selection. Considering it's usually busy, the staff do well to cater for the numbers - attentive staff and fast service. Great rock music choice (albeit, not overwhelming). Delicious food available, from main meals to nibbles. Downstairs 'nightclub' is a welcome addition.
L. W.
Restaurant service great, food pretty good and bar staff typcial for Glasgow. Bar was pretty busy when I first went in and certain areas of the bar aren't serving areas so can be a little annoying if you only notice it after a while and everyone is cramped into the service areas. Not sure what the reason is for this. But not a big deal. Always enjoy a visit here.
G. R.
Had a good night music was good but felt prices was high for drinks and tables were not being cleaned when sitting down
N. C.
I loved this place. Great ambiance, not to busy and great staff. I had the chilli with rice, my brother had a burger and my mum had the mac n cheese.
Well the chilli was nice but the mac n cheese really was the best ever.
They took awhile to get us our order but they comped all our drinks and didn't charge for my brothers burger.
Definitely the place i would visit again in Glasgow
A. M.
Lovely lively bar, hope to return soon
S. S.
I give 5 starts as service was exceptional. However the main attraction I was there for gets 2 stars only. I'm a fussy customer and they served me without bating an eye when I came up with my moaning. Food we've got was very good. However, this seems to be the only place in Glasgow advertised as one where you can play table tennis. This cost a fiver and we were brought downstairs, where table tennis table has a massive colorful ad on it, which makes it impossible to play as you can't really see the ball in this madness of colours. Bats are absolutely wrecked and there is a massive collection of poles and pillars around the table which makes it impossible and dangerous to play around. Table tennis was the main purpose of my visit, so 2 stars for that. I'm sure this place could be a great Ping Pong spot, but the table needs to be painted up/replaced and set up well between the obstacles. My advice is: don't charge for the bats and balls, just take a refundable deposit for it, at the end of the day people will come to play and get food and drinks in your place, so you'll get your money back. 2 stars for the ping-pong facility. Sorry :(
S. S.
Another must in Glasgow. You'll never meet anyone who doesn't like Maggie May's. Great staff, great music. Live performance every single day. One of the few pubs that's opened till 3 am everyday. Would not change a thing about this place!
S. D.
Nice enough place. Staff up to scratch. Bit pricey for Glasgow Cross but. Could've got the same order for 60% of the price at 4 or 5 locations within 100 to 200 yards. Otherwise fine.
C. R.
Guy playing frightened rabbit on the guitar was awesome
M. S.
Great place. Good food and drink at decent prices.
Pure rock and roll atmosphere.
Usually busy on the weekends.
Lunch is quieter and a good bet for a good time.
Staff are nice 👍
R. J.
Pub grub food. Chicken was as expected. We didn't quite like (or ate) the coleslaw & the dipping sauce. Enjoyed the cocktails and the price for the drinks was good.
D.
Good place,live band on,
K. H.
Very good food and had excellent service from a blonde lady with no tattoos. She was a bit of a gin expert! There was also great live music, and the drinks were delicious! Vegetarian friendly!
n. s.
Good varied music with some live bands. Good reasonably priced food usually served quickly. Some outdoor street seating. Staff are friendly and efficient. Some more unusual brands of beer and lager served (e.g.. Fraoch)Good for couples and groups as varied seating options are available.
T. S.
Nice range of beers nice atmosphere and no drug dealers lurking in the toilets.
Take note "The Treasury" in Airdrie.
A. S.
Popular joint. Very busy (Saturday afternoon) but decent number of staff serving so got our food and (several) drinks fairly quickly. Food (large sharing platter) was very nice and the staff were pleasant & attentive.
One mild criticism, it was very, very noisy, so mibees no for any first date intimacy :)
K.
Popular city centre pub restaurant, usual range of beers, American style food. Bench and booth seating, staff friendly but very busy at weekends. Good tribute band on Saturday.
A. M.
Nice environment, great food and friendly staff. If you're looking for a blend of Scottish and American cuisine it's the place to be! Would highly recommend the haggis balls starter🙃
S. C.
Decent music and space. Good amount of seating. More for the uni students, at least in the basement level. Up above is slightly older music for the non-student groups. Prices are ok. Bottle of prosecco was £22.
S. M.
Great experience! Staff were very helpful and friendly, went for lunch and had my 6 week old baby with me and the staff were very accommodating. Food was excellent, alcoholic drinks looked great with wide range of choice, good music, nice mixed crowd of people.
M.
Had lunch today, £9.95 for three courses (bargain!) and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Pleasant, friendly staff, clean facilities, would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon! I'm sorry I didn't try this wee gem sooner. My new favourite place to eat!
C. B.
great staff great food lovely place i had a lovely time there
N. M.
It was nice without a band actually, it's usually so loud in there you can't hear yourself speak. I love music but I was talking to someone so it was nice sitting at a wee table by the window getting a chat without blaring music.
B. S.
Had lunch and drinks here while out in Glasgow starting our Christmas shopping. Staff were fantastic and offered table service which was nice. Food was lovely and the whole place had a nice feel to it. Clean, tidy and very friendly.
t. a.
Great live music with good atmosphere
A. R.
Great bar and awesome selection of drinks (my favourite rum).
It's too loud for a non club, even in the restaurant it's very loud. Turn the music down a smidge.
G. G.
Good bar/restaurant situated on Trongate in the Merchant City.
I believe it has just been refurbed and it looked pretty smart all round.
Drink prices were reasonable and they have a great selection of beverages for all tastes.
I cannot comment on the food as we did not order anything but the dining area looked really good with some nice window seats.
They also have some nice booths with TV screens and also there is a basement section for live music which is very popular at the weekends.
One of the better bars in the Merchant City and it's worth a visit if you're in the area for drinks or food.
S. B.
A good place to enjoy with friends. It was fun.
A. H.
This was a gem on Saturday night Sunday morning
Great music and drinks
J. D.
Another great trip to Maggie Mays
G. T.
Good spot for a pint after the football. Good crowd and a decent Guinness too.
G. M.
Service not so friendly the two times I visited = 1 star gone.
They'd run out of zero alcohol beer on 1 of my 2 visits. Attitude of "what's the problem? Drink juice" from bar person = second star gone.
These are my reasons for 3/5 overall rating. I know most people won't be interested in no zero alc-beer being a reason for down rate but important for me and non alc drinkers in general.
M. A.
If you are looking for a great night out in Glasgow come here. There is often a live band playing in the main bar. They have an extensive range of gins and other drink selections. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The bouncers are firm but fair and always on the ball. The food is good and always recieve great service from the restuarant. Bar down stairs is well laid out and open till 3am. Booking a table is recommend for this popular and always busy place. 5 stars all round.
J. W.
Used to love this place years ago but after their chef and they changed the menu was awful. After a long time decided to try it again, and it was genuinely really good. Very impressed, nice staff also.
D. D.
Good food.
£4.80 for a single house vodka no mixer I thought is a tad pricey..
j. p.
Nice place to hangout and chill. Music was bit tad too loud, but other than that, its reasonably priced, and drinks are good. Especially loved the wine section
P. D. (.
Was out with a few friends for some food, two of three were pretty good. But the Seitan Burger was disappointing and to be honest not something I could eat. It turned out it was more of a bean burger that apparently had Seitan through it (not that We could see any). Not being a big fan of bean burgers or halloumi it reduced the veggie menu to some sides or mac and cheese. To the staffs credit they were lovely and apologised for the menu not being clear but the burger should be more clearly advertised!
M. H.
Great place i've been to in a long time. Fantastic music, friendly bar staff, isn't too expensive, always handy to meet up with folk for a few drinks before heading to the Barrowlands if a band is playing one night & it's opened til 3am! I never want to leave this place as the atmosphere is just great.
A. R.
Decent Bar visited after a gig at the Barrowlands. Spacious, good service and good selection of Draught lagers, Ales and Malts. Live music on offer if thats your thing. Not far from Argyle Street train station also. Definite Thumbs up!
L. R. G.
Great venue for live music; DJs, bands etc. I've been a number of times. Great for after work drinks and great venue if you're wanting a night out outside of a noises nightclub. It closes at 3am.
C. C.
In with work colleagues on a Friday night, staff were nice and freindly and helpful, good selection of beers and even helped us pick a local brewery's product. The music was good and seating was also plentiful, the bar has two floors with the other opening later.
The food was a bit of let down though, massive plates with little food, although nice it could have been presented better with the possibility of a biger portion of the sides.
R. L.
Popped in for a bit of lunch on a sunny day, food was really tasty and service was great. Only thing missing was a beer, but I was working
A. K.
Decent enough bar with rock(ish) music. Drinks selection is ok but it's kinda pricey. However the toilets are way too small for a bar of this size with only 2 cubicles.
N. G.
Great pub and very spacious. Prices are quite dear but quite relaxing. Bands are good and the music, staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this place
r. j.
Brilliant service and a great meal. Definitely highly recommended
A. M.
Staff are lovely, great selection of beers and other drinks. We were well looked after and there always plenty of buzz in the place. Thumbs up from me.
R. M.
Had a works x mas lunch on Friday , staff very welcoming. Great food also !
J.
Really nice restaurant, food is really tasty
e. w.
really nice, we will be back
S. B.
Used to love going here, and atmosphere and drinks selection still as good as it used to be, but sadly dining experience is now lacking. New menu simply doesn't come close to previous choices and gluten free dietary requirements no longer feel well catered for
D. L.
Been going here for years. It is ok. Food prices are high for the quality. Food seems to be pre-made and then reheated. It is often a cold place to sit. The staff are very attentive and well trained, so very capable.
e. d. H.
Great cocktails and good food and excellent service!
c. g.
Great Place For a nice wee pint or 2 and you can take the pooch
C. M. C.
Den & Clare. the cafe pair was greeted by staff right away enjoy a good meals and our tea would recommend to anyone else who as who's not tried
Maggie Mays it's a must👍
Just a small wee snack best to keep feet under the table to keep the table stable 😁😎 otherwise it's ok 👍
C. K.
What an amazing place to visit and have lunch. Very clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about their menu. Honestly give them them a try you will be surprised
R. H.
Lovely rock and roll place with good food, good music, friendly and quick service, and a grear atmosphere. Only thing they might want to improve are the ladies toilets, where the locks are consistently troublesome.
J. R.
Was a little sticky and smelt of chlorene, but friendly bar staff. Would have been good to hear the rugby being shown on the screens rather than hear music.
B. M.
One of the best city centre boozers. Food is ok, prefer it for a drink though. Good atmosphere and plenty of TVs for sport. Good tunes. Very good staff.
K. P. 2. Z.
Just had a cracking fish and chips. I must say the fish was excellent. One of the best I've ever had. The wife, wee Gay had salmon, she cleared her plate. So i must recommended it 5 stars
K. V.
Probably the best place I’ve eaten while I was in Scotland. If you’re travelling, you need to stop there and taste the limonade with raspberry gin liquor. It’s a must do in Glasgow!!!
H.
I like it, open until 3am so a good place to go after a bar in merchant city. Great cocktails and fun music. Let loose and enjoy it.
M. F.
Cocktails are just too good! The staff were amazing and made our time there feel special ❤
R. M.
First time I've been and it's a great place. We both had the burgers I had the "whiskey-a-go-go" burger and my son had the "Lemmy" burger. Good food, excellent service and great atmosphere.
A. G.
Great food, good prices.
K. O.
Food is great, venue is great. Wanted to try the deep fried mars bar dessert but we were forgotten about. ☹ would have given this place 4 stars otherwise
D. S.
We chose Maggie Mays as a meeting point for a family get together. The place was busy. Staff were good, when we ordered food for 9 of us it took about 40.. 45 mins to come out. To be honest it was not the nicest. Over cooked , or under cooked. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen.
M. M.
This city centre bar has had a revamp; they have lost a lot of the rock albums and trivia which were on display and the restaurant section is now a continuation of the bar area. You still get live bands in the basement section.
H. D.
After a busy shopping day in Glasgow we Decided to go back to Maggie Mays for a bite to eat . This was a return visit as we went to Maggie Mays on a previous trip to Glasgow. Friendly staff with fast and friendly service . Good quality pub grub and yes we will go back again.
J. “. J. H.
Despite other, perhaps more notable, 'burger joints' in the city this place sports, quite easily, the finest burger I have enjoyed in Glasgow! Accompanied by a broad selection of ales and spirits, I found myself rather content...
D. N.
Brilliant bar, good tunes, people and great selection of swally. Good ole dependable Maggie Mays... place is open late every night! Restaurant is good too! Do some mean burgers.
C. P.
Great drinks and entertainment
G. G.
Been here a few times, downstairs always has a good variety of music which is always good. Fairly priced for drinks and they always have cocktails/drinks on the chalk board to try.
D. A.
The food was fine but why they can't just use plates like normal folk escapes me.
A trowel of fries served on an a baking tray. It's all just a bit silly.
J. L.
Great late night music pub open till 3am .Always live music 7 days a week from 9 till 12. Friendly staff , right on Argyle street so taxi's always available...
c. M.
Lovely atmosphere staff great
L. M.
Food was amazing, staff were excellent!
C. P.
Nice wine..but should people be allowed to sit at outside tables and prevent others from using them "as they are waiting for their friends to join them"? Unfair but hard for bar staff to police...
A. O.
The service is fine.
The food however is a bit to be desired in my opinion.
It seems they want to serve American food like fajitas, burgers and nachos without it tasting like American food.
j. f. y. G. r.
Best atmosphere ever!
D. I.
Great place for a drink and some food. They also have live music but we missed that. Good service and friendly staff.
M. K.
Amazing! Had vegan burger, great. My husband had a black pudding burger, great. And you have to try the onion rings!
J. H.
Had a decent lunch, food was good. Friendly service, but kitchen was a bit slow and took a while to realise that they were out of a couple of items that we had ordered.
R. P.
Great bar, good atmosphere and amazing live music. Definitely worth a visit post covid.
p. h.
Nice fajitas. Usual burgers as well, not great for veggies, but there are options. Live music most nights, open late
N. H.
Great nite great atmosphere 👍
A. L.
Great short rib hotdog and friendly staff. Great location for lunchtime drinks that turn into night drinks
Y. K.
Expensive drink also really cold but entertainment was great
D. H.
Called in with friends around midnight after a gig, few people in lively atmosphere lots of TV screens a bit loud while having a conversation. We left around 2.10am still lots of people in.
A. M.
Not bad bit pricey fiver for a Guinness sitting outside in the sun was a bonus
D. M.

Card only payments good staff not the most electric atmosphere.

Ordered fish supper, fish was enormous. Meal was very tasty. Staff friendly but not intrusive. Would go back
G. W.
Great pub, lively and fun
l. L.
The food is delicious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely would be back here again
S. R.
The card offered a Burger with Mac'n'Cheese topping, which sounded both dubious and tempting. It turned out to be an absolutely convincing concept. The members of the old McEnncheese Clan knew what they did when inventing this culinary gem!
N. B.
Weekends are very lively! Great music! Amazing drinks! I can always get a good laugh in here!
E. M.
Good service. Lovely cocktails. Unfortunately they closed the downstairs area meaning we lost the table we had.
A. K.
Brilliant atmosphere and bar staff, live music aswell as the night progresses. Tad more expensive than some places but you get what you pay for.
O. U.
The food here was good enough to make me religious
F. M.
Enjoyed a cple of beers with some acoustic guitar in the background from the nights entertainment, served quickly, toilets let it down a bit but that's due to the clientele I suppose not the staff, a bit messy
C. “. B.
Brilliant venue for all sporting events. Food also very good. Watched Six Nations Rugby here today.
K. H.
Great beer and cocktail selection. Been in a couple of times on a Saturday and they have had really high quality bands on.
M. R.
Staff were friendly and informative we tried the snack they were okay 👍
T. P.

H. P.
Good beer, friendly staff. Went on a night with live music made for an excellent atmosphere.
A. S.
Food was great, nice mix of music and crowd. We stopped in on Monday night and were pleasantly surprised.
T. P.
Friendly place, live music & good atmosphere
P. S.
Not bad, but widely advertised table tennis is a bit neglected, and that's the reason of my visit so a bit disappointed. Lovely staff.
H. L.
Sriracha peanut butter?! Strangely alluring... Very tasty!
M. w.
A really good atmosphere, good music, a mixture of modern and older classics, also their burgers is the best I've tasted and the food in general is good and not too expensive.
E. M.
Food n drinks lively. Service was brilliant.
E. W.
Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic live band on for a good portion of the night!
Well priced drinks.
S.

G. S.
Brilliant night out with live music
M. M.
Friendly staff, nice drinks, great atmosphere.
N. T.
Food was pretty decent but service was slow. Get the burgers. Actually get 2, as 1 will not be enough for a serious eater.
D. B.
Opens until 3am! Live music venue and bar with amazing atmosphere. The place to go after the pubs close in merchant city.
K. M. (.
The new table tennis table downstairs are great addition to this long time classic pub. Plenty bats n balls available.
D. M.
Good food, great beer options, fantastic staff. Great atmosphere and music.
L. A.
I was looking for fajitas and Maggie's delivered. Yum. Liked it so much I went back for lunch another day, Southern fried chicken burger, and it was totally delicious too.

C. C.
Great music, friendly staff, fair prices and open till very late. Not much more to ask for!
E. T.
Not too bad, but nothing to write home about. The music was VERY loud.
A. M.
Staff are very friendly here and it’s not too loud, which is great because I’m autistic. Had a lovely time here with my partner :-)
B. M.
Wasnt that happy with some staff, couldn't poor a pint, had to get other bar man to sort it guy was nice and helpful, the two girls couldn't care, I know it's busy but still no excuse

M. C.
This is a pub not particular for me, its younger generation don't get me wrong its alright but thumping music sorry not my cup of tea.... p.s. probably my age but it would be good for younger generation so my advice give it a go that's why I gave it 4stars
w. c.
Watched the euro final in here... was a great atmosphere and even better the tallys won 👍
F. D.
Good food with wide selection of drinks... really busy as always but enjoyable nonetheless
H. B.
One of my favourite Glasgow drinking establishments.
M. M.
Busy bar, great soup, will definitely try the food next time as only wanted something to warm me up x
A. S.
Really comfy couch. Its worth it just to command the couch. Its like,Friends, instead with ugly people. I actually wish I had a throwover the couch was that comfortable.
A. M.
Serves a decent pint, ideal if you want a good night out with music without going to an actual club
D. S.
Great place for dinner and drinks. Amazing staff and awesome food.

Wuft, talk about entertainment. So many fights and dramas made for some excellent people watching. Good booze selection and not to dear.
M. v. E.
The name got us in. Large place but cozy at the same time. Couches & tables & chairs. Loved the mix.

Mediocre burgers. The pin pong area is a great idea but actually really dark, and there's columns in the way. could be improved
