First time at Maxs, best chicken and fries in Glasgow, Three of us arrived for lunch. Friendly staff and the food and drinks came quickly. Halluomi Burger, Fish and Chicken in a basket. Not pricey and excellent portion size. If shopping in Glasgow this is the place for Cocktails and food. We'll be back

The meal was lovely, but what made this experience so much better was the staff. They were all fantastic and very helpful, especially Jack who made sure everything was just perfect. Highly recommend whether just for a meal or a drink as the atmosphere was brilliant

Great little bar with variety of food and drink to offer. Did not eat here but from what I could see it looked great. Opted for just drinks. The cocktails were very good and well priced £6 each. The staff were very friendly and attentive even though they were busy they were apologetic when customers were waiting a while for what they ordered. As is the norm at the moment when it is table service only.

Been waiting for this place to open back up again and so happy it's finally back! This is a must eat spot in Glasgow, all the food is good and we always have a great time. The mozzarella sticks and Louisiana chicken strips are amazing, sadly they didn't have the chorizo croquettes on but hoping they come back soon! Really quick service and all the staff are lovely!

A difficult bar to describe this bar in Queen Street, it seems popular with a certain type of person, a thirty something male dominated clientèle, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway quite a small bar but busy with a Dj playing incidental music which nobody seemed to be enjoying. The service was as you would expect and the beer was fine.

Max’s as a Glasgow institution has a lot to offer. It has great cocktails, beautiful staff and the most awesome club nights down stairs at La Cheetah. If you are kind and loving at the club, it will give the same back to you.

Still a great place for a drink and the staff are fine - but the food is no where near pre covid standards. The Carolina Cajun burger and plenty of their starters were amazing but they've cut right down on portion sizes and quality. If I didn't know it before, I'd probably give it 5 stars because it is still a great boozer. Just a shame about the food now. Not to say the foods terrible - most of its pretty good... Just not a patch on the old stuff. Don't know if there's new owners now or whatever.

Anna was amazing. My friend was being abused by a random guy in the bar and she swiftly got the bouncer to kick him out no questions asked. After witnessesising the abuse she also came back to asure us it would not happen again and that they would fix any problems swiftly in the future as soon as we flagged any member of staff.. Great bar, probably one of the nicest door men I've ever met there. Did his job well and wasn't the typical grunt kinda type. Even offered to make space at a table for my date and I when he noticed we had been standing for a bit (we were fine standing but the gesture was nice anyways). Only complaint I'd have is the min £5 card spend which can be annoying if you were maybe by yourself and just wanting a pint.

Love this place, fortunate to have it as our after-work local which is mostly when I'm there. Great selection of drinks and the food is really good also if you are in the mood for burgers/southern fried chicken/etc. The atmosphere is great for after work drinks with an eclectic mix of people and the food channel(!?) a constant presence on the big screen! Later in the evening at weekends it feels a bit more underground/clubby with a DJ, etc reflected in a noticeable change in the clientele. Highly recommended.

As a traveler from the states, I was looking for somewhere the locals would go, and this place seems to fit the bill. This was the best fun I had in Glasgow on my own. I went there 2 nights, one on a weekend and one on a weekday, and was not disappointed either time. The music and the vibe of the place was perfect. I didn't eat, but they have decent selection of beers there. Everyone was friendly, and the staff attentive. It seems like a little hole in the was per se, but was exactly what I was looking for. Give it a try!

To be this shabby, this hipster pub must be popular. Music sounds good enough and typical range of craft beers. Large wall mounted TV lijely to be an entertainment feature but not sport. Not too much space so probably fills quite quickly. Also serves food, waiting staff look friendly and efficient.
