I attended birthday party, The night was good for most people but for someone who is visually impaired there was a number of issues - 1. No lighting in the hall except for around the bar area 2.No light in the gents toilet, which I reported and still wasn't sorted 2 hours later 3. It's a Belhaven pub but didn't have Best in the function room so my carer had to go down to the bar for a pint, not ideal for me left sitting in the dark. 4. Another thing, as a former entertainer, was you couldn't make out a thing the DJ was saying plus the lighting display was poor with only 1 light as shown in the photo. As I said at the start most people had a good night but hopefully something will be done to improve the experience for someone like me and make it safer 👍

It's alright for a local boozer. 2 function suites upstairs, 1 small and 1 larger. Downstairs 1 fairly large lounge and 1 fairly large bar. Popular for karaoke 🎤 at the weekends and even more popular because there is a betting shop right next door. There doesn't seem to be any permanent staff behind the bar in the lounge but there is a bell to summon staff through from the bar. Prices are reasonable for the area considering there are plenty of other pubs in the vicinity...

Have been visiting the millcroft a lot more recently as they have now got a pool table and live bands playing in the bar. Live sports is also played in both the bar and the lounge. Great for drinks and entertainment with karaoke on. Have had loads fun watching the regulars playing pool. Have also been to a lot of functions at the millcroft and the staff have been fantastic and really helpful, the new refurbished halls are really spacious and looks great!

This pub is probably the best pub in rutherglen. Love the atmosphere...staff are amazing.❤❤❤❤❤❤and the fuction halls have had a revamp and look amazing.x will be having our 50th anniversary in there for sure ... 5 stars abasalutey.

Staff were lovely, couldn't have been more helpful and cheerful. They explained the layout, and how to order in line with the current Covid restrictions. It's a modern day 'old man' pub, it's clean with plenty of locals. On Champions League final night we sat the whole day and even with the change in staff they still couldn't be more helpful. At the end of the night, worse for wear, we ordered doubles and the barmaid sensibly told us a single was enough. Something that's rarely seen. It's also not a Witherspoon's pub!!

Nice no frills boozer, with a few big screens for sports (although the old timers get priority for Racing) only negatives are, at times it can a bit of time to get served, mainly due to bar staff having to work bar and lounge, but bar staff are top notch! Also, fairly recently karaoke was started on a Sunday, and sorry to say but it is BLOODY AWFUL. Keep karaoke to the lounge of Friday or Saturday please!
