This is my favourite place. We eat here at least twice a week and have done since opening. Food tastes great and is very affordable considering the huge portions they serve. The kids love to get their dinner/breakfast and play outside in the park after. Lots to choose from on the menu too so we never get bored. Staff are lovely and the place has a cosy feel to it. Definitely first choice for a meal out for us. There’s also a deal on every day of the week which we take advantage of when we go. Best local we could ask for without a doubt.

I visited here with a friend for a late lunch a couple of weeks ago. The food was fine and very reasonably priced. We did have to wait a while as it was very busy, but it was served to us by a very polite and friendly waiter called Declan. I will definitely come back and try some of the varied dishes on the menu.

Was in today Tuesday 29th with my wife. Staff were very nice and cuteous at all times, and very well presented. We had breakfast which was really different to a normal scottish breakfast , and couldn't fault the food, service ,prices and generally the whole establishment, very tidy and with a nice feel to it. Popped in with my wife after work tonight to grab a bite to eat and a refreshment from the bar. We enjoyed our food served by an attentive friendly lad called Declan and we thoroughly enjoyed our free chocolate fudge cake too. Bonus!The guy behind the bar, David I think his name was, served our drinks with a bit of friendly banter also. Great wee pub with hard working staff. Declan was busy cleaning up when we left. We will be back another time for sure.

Fantastic breakfast/ high quality tea & coffee/ great prices and 10 out of 10 for customer service, quality and compliments to the chef. They also have live entertainment 8pm until 11pm most days worth coming up from New Galloway!

Visited the oystercatcher tonight and had the BOGOF burger deal and some drinks with friends. Food was served quickly by Sophia who was very attentive and pleasant. Drinks served by Jack. Excellent service as always and will visit again soon 😀

Been here a few times and service is always really good. Fast serving times and reasonable price. The Big Plate Special menu is fantastic value for what you get. I remember when it used to be our favourite place and we always loved going back. Tonight the food was OK, the service was OK (and in fairness only one member of the team made it that good)but really not what I've known from them previously. Perhaps it was because it was a Wednesday night, but surely that shouldn't matter 🤷‍♀️

Was in the Oystercatcher in East Kilbride for the 1st time on Friday night with family. What a lovely restaurant. The service from our waiter, Declan was wonderful. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Nice wee place to visit with the family. Not too expensive and the menu is big enough you will find something for even the fussiest member of the family. Service was friendly and quite quick. The little play park in the safe enclosed garden area looked great but it was raining so we had some disappointed little adventurers with us.

Me and my family went here on Sunday for a meal for my sons birthday. The food was great and service was amazing from Holly and a couple of other girls I didn't get their names. We took a birthday cake for my son so that his kids could sing happy birthday to him and Holly and the girls joined in they gave us a good laugh and had a bit of banter with us so we all had a great afternoon and the kids enjoyed the cake. Holly and the girls gave great customer service and are a real credit to your company so thank you to all for a great afternoon.

Bank holiday Monday. Only two staff on. Staff were ran off their feet and could not cope with the amount of orders coming in. Had to wait ages for drinks. People wandering in and out with no masks on. The two staff who were on did a fantastic job under the circumstances.

My steak was lovely but everybody else had burgers and they were awful. Very dry, looked like they were cooked from frozen. Staff great. Avoid the burgers until they start going to the butcher's. Fresh burgers are not expensive but make all the difference.

Lovely lay out with lots of booths for couples or families (tv screen in some). Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. But for us the best bit was the waitress. Today found service slow as could only see 2 staff, need to staff better as both were constantly under pressure making it difficult to deliver a quick service. They do a good over 60s menu.

Order the all day breakfast at 12.30 today, as usual something always missing from the plate...no hash browns or mushrooms and only realised when i left, they had the cheek to charge us for the one slice of toast each. They ought to change their teabags, they are foul. I think generally when i go in here which is only a couple of times a year, i always leave disappointed and either the food takes too long or just not nice. Ill learn one day. Its a shame, its a good location and the decor is ok, though they really ought to tidy up their toilets there always a door not working or not enough soap...simple things guys. Being a pub chain i dont think the food will.ever get better. Carrigans up the road has much much better food though you will pay a bit more. Id rather see the hungryhorse and carrigans swap places.tbh! Hopefully the next time i visit im only going for a drink and nothing else!

Sadly it's the usual story, management to scared to put enough staff on shift. Staff that were working were trying there best but can't be everywhere. Food portions are large but tasteless and probably cold by the time you get it. Reasonable prices and seems suitable for families although bar can get rowdy at weekends. Outdoor seating.

Food was ok but the ordering system created a problem. It being Wednesday, curry plus drink for £5.49, so the three of us decided on that. On going to the bar to order my husband was told the meal would cost £8.49. He tried to explain we only wanted the cheaper option but was told that wasn't the case. So he paid the full amount saying the menu sheet was misleading then as it clearly states the cheaper price plus the extra £3 for an upgrade. On telling us, my daughter and me told him we didn't want the upgrade but as he'd paid there was nothing we could do. Meal duly arrived - too large so we asked to take home what we couldn't eat. On looking at the menu again we realised no chutney or mint yoghurt had been included. Not a good experience and a cheap meal was more expensive than we'd planned. More staff training needed at ordering to explain about the different prices.

We booked the Oystercatcher East Kilbride for a special surprise birthday for 23 people. The restaurant was quite busy and I was concerned that it might not go as planned. However I have to say a huge thank you to Dean and his staff for making it a night to remember. All the meals were served at the same time they were hot and delicious. The staff worked really hard and deserve a huge pat on the back. Thank you for making our night. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a hassel free night out. You know what to expect when you visit the oystercatcher: it's never going to be restaurant of the year! But tonight's service was just ridiculous - with the exception of Fiona (Canadian lady). As usual she runs about like a mad woman trying to do her absolute best to make up for the other servers who as usual appear to not want to be there. When I complained at the till point to a duty manager I was told "i know - it's a nightmare to get them to do any work"! How about manage them!

It's part of the hungry horse chain. Does what it says on the tin. Food and drink prices are very good. Some of the food tends to be a bit dry, specially the chicken skewers, be sure to have a pint handy.

Food was fine however I ordered the 'Bombay Bird' burger off the summer burger menu which was 'Buttermilk chicken breast and chicken fries tossed in tikka sauce, yoghurt & mint dressing, mango chutney, coriander, spring onion & red chilli. Topped with an onion bhaji'. However it did not have yoghurt dressing, mango chutney, coriander, and spring onion and red chilli on it. It also had a beef burger on it which it didn't say was supposed to be in it. It was almost like the chef couldn't be bothered adding anything to it. I was disappointed it basically didn't have half the stuff on it, however the food that was there was cooked fine.

DESSERT STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING -NOT QUITE AUTHENTIC BUT ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ACCOMPANIED BY A SMALL "GRAVY BOAT" OF REALLY TERRIFIC CUSTARD WELL DONE! ONLY DISAPPOINTMENTNO BLACK PEPPER.
