Really enjoyed this place. Relaxed, nice vibe, good selection of wines and the woman who served us was very friendly. Will definitely be back for more.

Good feel and atmosphere however disappointed it's seating only. Feel this place could do a lot more if allowed to stand. Would add to the appeal and the business.

It’s just...ok. Decent drinks menu; I only had a gin so can only comment on that. Bao was soggy, pizza was alright, Parmesan fries were tasty and piping hot. I had a really nice pear and berry crumble. Loud music played from a totally sh*t soundsystem means it’s a difficult place to socialise so we ended up leaving for somewhere quieter.

We had walked quite a way to get to Phillies and we were hungry. Only the brunch menu was available (but they were out of eggs). There was nothing suitable for the kids and no children's menu. We ended up getting them a plate of chips each, they were of course happy about that even if we weren't. What we had was nice, the staff were pleasant but the place was dark and just not very family friendly. If you are looking for a place to recover from a night out and chow down it would be perfect!

The decor and atmosphere is really trendy and cool, the staff friendly and the right amount of attentive. The food was super tasty and a bigger portion than I expected. I've only dropped a star because it's very loud (the music is quiet but somehow the noise is extremely loud? But it is busy tonight) and there was a recurring smell that I can only describe as "toilety"?! It was quite unpleasant and it came in waves but didn't seem to be from the actual toilets considering they are not that close to where we were sitting? Quite off-putting but generally a really cool place that I would visit again and try the rest of the menu :) I just hope next time that I can only smell the tasty food instead!

I found it extremely noisy and quite cold in Phillies. On the evening I was there the food menu seemed to me too limited. The staff were friendly and helpful. I suspect I'm not in their target group as everyone else seemed fine with the high level of noise and cool temp.

Interesting sister pub to the wonderful Redmond's of Dennistoun. Asian inspired food menu is great value and fine selection of craft beer on tap and from bottle shop attached. Plays vinyl and punters can select but not at all times like Redmond's. Worth a visit in a sea of souless chain pubs

Great reliable food. Always tasty. Well priced. The beer selection is fantastic and changes. Ovenbird coffee is great. It's one of the few places that tries to do it all and succeeds. You can work on your laptop like a coffee shop. Take the dog down for brunch. Evening meals are great value. Then in the evening its more like a bar with good music. Staff are always cheerful and they love the dog.

Excellent. My friend wanted the vegan bao bun but they had run out. Not only did the chef come up with one alternative he came up with 2 and the servers so so lovely and helpful. We were never without drinks and stayed later to play cards. This is the second time we've been here in one week and both visits were excellent and such good value. THANK YOU X

In for some lunch with family and 7 month old just before lockdown 2.0. Nice, open space so social distancing not an issue. Food was great and even managed to have a decent pint of non-alcholic beer. Been here a few times before and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Went to Phillies this weekend (Saturday 3rd October) and could not have been more impressed. First of all the measures they've put in place to keep customers and staff safe during the coronavirus pandemic seem very clear and second to none but at the same time didn't make us feel uncomfortable or reduce our experience, largely down to the friendly and attentive nature of the staff who were brilliant. That aside the food was excellent (and we ordered pretty much one of everything from the menu because we're greedy) as well as having plenty of great beer and wine options, which kept the whole table happy. Particular mention goes to whichever bar staff made the top notch negroni too.

Booked a table for a busy Saturday evening for 4 people and they were able to fit us in. Had one of the best burgers I've ever had, plus a great choice of beer and whisky. Staff were such a laugh and you didn't feel like a punter because their chat was so relaxed. Highly highly recommended!

Nice big venue. Unique wine shop affiliation with a bar. Dropped in during a poetry event, not my scene but it was busy. Serves good beers BUT I was the dedicated driver so had coffee. However, this coffee not to my taste and the cups small and these wee handles you cant get a finger through. My daughters like this place a go alot.

Really nice addition to Shawlands! Lovely atmosphere and lots of choice of beers, and a wine shop too! And it's dog friendly! All of the pizzas are available gluten free but the rest of the menu wasn't overly amazing for coeliacs/wheat intolerant people!

Good for drinks definitely. Cocktails well priced albeit a bit lackluster. The few negronis I got were definitely campari heavy. Food we go was mostly bad. Sent back 2 things which is something I have only ever done once. Chicken tasted like it has been boiled in burnt oil rather than fried .

Lovely place in shawlands, relatively new. Has two entrances from Pollockshaws road and kilmarnock road. Decor is very nice and the staff are even nicer, very quirky. First visit here, I was greeted with a warm welcome the service is outstanding. With the quality of food at such high standards in Glasgow these small touches are what set these places apart. Nice selection of beers and the food is outstanding, generous portion sizes and packed full of flavor. The Bao Buns are definately worth a try.

Always love going to Phillies. The Bao is amazing, and they have great interesting cocktails as well as the classics. Big space but always feels cosy and local, and I feel comfortable there either eating or just having a drink.

It's ok. Spoiled in the area for places to brunch. A bit annoying/unpleasant loads of fruit flies hovering about even though it's winter. Waffle and chicken was something I looking forward to however the chicken on the bone seemed odd to go with the waffle: buck's bar seem to have that on point 👌.

The Monkfish curry is amazing, properly amazing. We also had the mango and vanilla weiss beer and a super hoppy IPA, both were really good as well. I think the IPA was called Stones or something. Absolute belter. We then went back to a flat and drank an obscene amount of champagne. I feel like death today. The thought of that Monkfish curry is making me feel better though. Seriously, go there now and get the Monkfish curry

Love Phillies! They always have an amazing selection of beers and great guest taps. Food is always top notch also (looking at you flatbreads!) Staff are always super friendly and they are doggy friendly so you can bring your 4 legged pal with you if you want.
