Pretty good, managed to get an excellent seat and it wasn't super busy despite being a Saturday night - which is preferable for someone who likes a more relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly enough, and good music was playing all night.

Great Rock Bar. Excellent mix of music, friendly helpful staff. When we went there was a deal on a choice of White Russian cocktails. I'm only sorry we didn't try the rooftop terrace. Would definitely recommend.

As luck had it this rock pub was very close to our hotel. Table service was quick and the bar staff friendly. Music was great and not overly loud so you could still chat. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town .

Love this place! Staff are friendly and I love how chill and retro it is inside. Customers are able to play playstation, theres a TV on in the background and great alterantive/rock music playing. Decent prices and the cocktails are fab. Theres also a smoking area upstairs which is heated and sheltered. Toilets and the place in general was clean. No complaints!

If you're a fan of rock music and good drink- this is the place to be. The place has 2 bars and even a large balcony smoking area with tables, seats and even open fires to keep you warm. The sound system is great throughout the place. The decor has signed records and other things. There is also a pool table just as you walk in. 5*

Food was great your standard bar food pizzas burgers and such like it was of a very high quality. Great pub for Rocky punks and heavy metal fans. Also great if you're a gamer they're was a massive TV and vintage consoles with a very comfortable looking sofa so you could enjoy a Drink and play some games with friends. only one problem and that was the disabled facilities no toilet for wheelchair users you have to go down quite a lot of stairs. apart from this I'd highly recommend.

Good layout, music and general atmosphere. Decent rage of drinks. Has a pool table and a TV with games to play on it (never played it myself so always worth noting it's there). There is an outdoor section upstairs with ample seating for smokers. My only negative point would be that they don't accept card payments. I would only suggest the business consider looking into this for the sake of convenience to customers (as also noted by several other reviews). There is a cash machine outside just 20 feet up the street which the staff have informed me of, though it seems curious in this day and age that a bar doesn't take card 🤔

Great food and very reasonably priced. The staff are most helpful . Good selection of rock music playing in the background. Would recommend anyone to go and give it a try, you could be surprised. You can also rent the rooftop bar for birthdays etc. Don't quote me but I think it's free as long as you are buying drink ,obviously.

Really good place if you're into the scene. Loud rock music. They're usually playing some cool film on the TV like Nightmare Before Christmas or the Adams Family. Reasonable prices on the drinks and great deals on food. Get a proper hotdog for £2. Good stuff!

I have never had a bad night in Rufus. The drinks are fairly priced and they now serve a menu of different white Russians which are delicious. I have ordered the pizza a few times and they have hit the spot and generally surprisingly fabby food for a "rock bar". They have playstations to play, a pool table, roof smoking area, an area to book out for functions and good tunes. What more do you want?!

Today I have to update my review Sadly the handsome chef has left Rufus he is now free from the oppressive environment he has endured for nearly 25 years. His talent was unappreciated by the owner but it is obvious from all the good wishes from customers and staff (past and present) that he will be sorely missed. It's a rock pub, it does what it says on the tin. It's plays good loud music, has a pool table, good selection of booze, cool staff, decent food and is full of rockers, metalheads, weirdos and geeks (aka my kind of people). It's a staple on nights out for me and others along with the Solid Rock but Rufus is easier to talk in as it's not as loud as the Solid. Unusually for me, I can easilly spend all night in Rufus without getting bored or itchy feet wanting to move on somewhere else. The staff are great, even on crazy busy nights when they're run ragged, and the punters are just my kind of people. Between the staff and punters, Rufus has a great feel to the atmosphere: loud but friendly. It's why we keep going back. It's one of my top 3 bars in Glasgow and that's an easy thing to judge as it's probably the one we keep going back to again and again. It's not a posh place, it's not artisan anything or hipster pretentious, it does what it says on the tin: it's a rock pub and it rocks.

Nice pub where you can play ps1, they got alot of games like guitar hero, tekken,... Music is perfect if you like heavy metal. There is a rooftop terrace aswell if you want to smoke. Very friendly staff and security!
