Had a lovely meal. 6 of us turned up with only 10 minutes before last order's for food, but, that wasn't a problem. Very tasty & filling and no long waits. Friendly & welcoming. Would return if this way again.

We really enjoyed our meal we both had the chicken with haggis stuffing followed by a naughty pudding. The young girl that served us was friendly. The pub itself was nicely decorated and only a ten minute walk from where we were staying. Definately would eat here again if we were in the area. Thank you.

Popped in here while staying at the travelodge. Had food and all I can say is I highly recommend this place. Very nice food,bar staff very pleasant and even a singer on playing music, and this was on a Monday night . Very Good

A superb facility, with comfortable, warm and welcoming surroundings. Provides an excellent and varied selection of food including a great breakfast option. Great venue for getting together with friends and family. Superb Kareoke and live music reviews. Caters for kids and even dog friendly Definitely a 5 Star experience.

Lovely bar and friendly staff, but to be charged £17 for a bottle of wine out of Lidl (which is under a fiver) is just a total cheek. Won't be back.

Popped in for a drink whilst staying at the Travelodge across the road. Very friendly pub, good value. I would definitely recommend it. Dog friendly. Didn't eat here as we arrived too late, but the reviews are positive and the toilets were nice and clean.

My husband and I enjoy the nice, relaxing atmosphere in this pub. The staff are nice and friendly. Gill does well with her multi tasking skills..taking food orders, serving food, working behind the bar, cleaning tables, the list goes on! She is so hard working and still finds time to have a little chat with her customers. This pub offers a great menu, alcoholic drinks, teas and coffees etc.

Brilliant pub, went with mum for lunch after taking dog for a run in the park. Has a gorgeous interior and food was delicious. Super dog friendly too, my dig got a nice bowl of water and lots of attention. Great experience, will definitely be back!

Great food! Reasonable price. The mac and cheese was creamy and more ish. I also had the start of hummus and fresh bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. Simple but tasty. The people I was with had the steak pie and they both enjoyed it. Would definitely go back to try the other things on the menu.

This pub gives people the opportunity to show off their talents wether is playing guitar, singing, sax or even the harp. Check with pub for details, the food is lovely, great pint and I've always have a great time here, staff friendly and outgoing child anfmd dog friendly. This is a community pub brings people together and supports youth development so the can reach their goals as singers or musicians etc..... well done guys and thank you.

I'm sitting in this wee hidden gem as I write. My mums been in the QEUH for a couple of months and I live 450miles away so I pass this frequently but this time I flew up. I thought I'd come here have some lunch and work. And I couldn't be more happily surprised. I've been treated to great chat, friendly and unobtrusive great food and a throughly welcoming atmosphere. Genuinely enjoyed every minute spent here.. Will definitely be back. Well done to the front of house team and the back house team for their food and hospitality. Genuine, friendly and the epitome of why "people make Glasgow"

Visited the Amethyst as it's near The Royal hospital for children where my grandchild was being treated. Went there on several occasions and found the staff to be very friendly. Had a meal on several occasions and prices very reasonable. The lady who worked there during the week was particularly caring and friendly asking for news on our granddaughter.

Top pub top acts. Got in a taxi at Partick station, 'take me to the amethyst please driver'. -'Oh that's a popular wee pub over there'. Being on the 'wrong' side of the river I think this will be the first of many pubs that may draw people to have a peak over that side. Well worth the visit and a great pint of Guinness.

Hosted a surprise get together for my husbands 60th birthday last night and was very impressed. Anna and staff were very accomodating letting us set up earlier in the day, providing an amazing buffet, music and service with a smile. Everyone had a great time. The Amethyst is definately one of Glasgows hidden gems! 😀xx
