Got a warm welcome as we entered, the member of staff was friendly and helpful. Service was quick and efficient. Food was really nice and decent size portion so value for money.

I've walked past this pub many times, going to Cineworld or the Theatre Royal but today, Saturday, the 21st of May, 2022, I decided to go in with my girlfriend and see what it was like. We needn't have worried as we were given a lovely, friendly welcome from the Bar Staff and the pub was very cosy and friendly. The photographs of Scottish Stars of the stage from the past (some of them signed) was a lovely touch. I'll definitely be back and I would like to eat in it one day as the food that other people were having looked and smelled very nice. I'd give The Atholl Arms 10/10!

I've been coming here for years on and off always has been a fantastic pub but now I have to get refurbishment and it's later than to you you thanks to the new full sized picture windows it feels how much warmer place The photos I posted were taken early on a Monday but judging by the number of Staff they were expecting a very busy lunch personally I have not had to chance to try the new menu yet but as soon as I do I will let you know if it's still as good as it used to be

The Atholl arms has always been wonderful bar warm and friendly I have been drinking and eating in it off and on over the years never long enough to call myself a regular With the new floor to ceiling picture windows it feels almost twice the size It has great dining atmosphere with warm and friendly staff ways to help and serve Sadly I have note tasted the food since the refurbishment but when I do I be will be sure let you know my opinion has it was absolutely excellent before the refurbishment I've given it five stars the highest awards maybe I should visit more often

It was a strange evening. My first outing since the closure of the Iron Horse. Not (m)any places compare to that legend. I opted to go to my fortress of solitude when the Tartan Army took hold of my beloved local and my alternative of choice was always the Atholl. It felt weird. The place is a cross between a restaurant and a wine bar. It's definitely not a boozer which is great for some people's needs. There was not much atmosphere but the natives seemed content. The service was (in the most case) polite and respectful. The prices are fair. The menu is genuinely impressive. I like the place. It's nice and quiet even when it's busy. My search for a replacement for the IH may take a lifetime.

Lovely wee bar. But the staff need to try to keep their angry heads under wraps when they feel the pressure and not make customers feel uncomfortable. We left after 1 drink because the blonde lady behind the bar was acting really aggressive, (we were sitting at the bar in the corner) maybe she was just having a bad day but banging plates, throwing spirit measures and swearing about customers doesn’t make people feel welcome. Although the blonde lady in the kitchen was lovely and awesome!!

Our order got all mixed up, the space was loud and i couldn't hear most of the conversation i was having. I've been there before during quiet time and it was pleasant, it is just not helpful when the place is busy to blast music so everybody has to yell in order to be heard. Not very smart move.

Looked nice from the outside, but no atmosphere and the strong smell from the fryer hits you as you walk in. Most of the meals were ok (pie was great), but the burger was burnt and tasteless. Food expensive really for the area. Beer selection was poor as well I thought, but ok if you like common lagers. Fairly average, so won't be going back in a hurry with lots of better options close by.

As I first came here, it was only for the sake of having to sit down and to have a cold one after a flight and a train and it caught my eye. So it's right by Buchanan bus station. Due West, if I haven't had too much whiskey. From the start the atmosphere was on point. Not so much for loud, own-the-world types but for those who want to have a good moment or two with some quality ale and whiskey. And proper local food. Food, beer, cider, whiskey, an A. Service A+. Will always come here back and first.

After wandering around the city centre trying to find a pub that wasn't blasting music out like a night club, we found this place. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who quickly prepared and served our drinks. It is a wonderful place that I am sure we will visit again.

Was there for lunch with a friend. No Pepsi, no irn bru extra, no hot chocolate, no latte, no sweets and no modifications to the menu, so my friend had only fish....no potatoes available. My fish and chips was tasty and hot though. Doubt my friend will repeat the experience.

Friendly staff. I asked advice for a local dark beer and server gave me two tastes to choose my pint. I ate the Scots pie with gravy extra. Americans expect thick ooze and would regard this gravy as thin but we must avoid such expectations and projections. Honestly I wasn't catching the accent of the server and think the pie is beans but also had a mashed meat feel. And of course chips on the side, the style of which Americans would call steak fries. Variety on menu and almost next to my hotel so I may try more. Food is not special I think but I like being in this space and so will you!

Hubby and i had pit stop for lunch here.it was buzy but got a nice seat.Hubby ordered haggis balls for starter he said they were lovely a wee salad with this.i got the lentil soup was dissapointed it was blitzed in the blender.i like to see my veg.it tasted ok.My hubby got mac and cheese a big portion.with a side salad.and skin on fries chips which were lovely.the staff are attentive and friendly.the toilets are lovely too fresh and cleaedWe will return in future.
