Really nice lasagne followed by chocolate ice cream sundae. It was a hot day so I enjoyed the beer garden at the back - there's a fun sign that tells you the distance you are from major cities of the world :) Recommend for dining well and inexpensively compared to some pubs.

As always the service was fantastic today. The roast here is well worth the visit. Great that the bar area is dog friendly too. You can stop for a Sunday roast after a long dog walk

Lovely bar inside, good sized beer garden with nice chilled vibes. Not too badly priced. Only negative was a dirty glass which was replaced but no apology and there was no rapport with staff at all.

Pretty quiet and not the place to go to keep warm unless you sit next time the log burner. Some of the craft beers a bit too pricey at £5.95 a pint. Great pint of the black stuff though.

Brilliant pub, we used to pass it on the daily commute and finally managed to visit yesterday. From the outside its very unassuming but beautifully decorated and a good size beer garden discretely tucked out of view from the street. Staff were really friendly and they even had fruit shoots for the little ones.

Outstanding family run pub serving tremendous cocktails, good red wine & seriously good value food. Nacho starter (cheeseburger ones) were some of the best nachos I've ever eaten & the chilli honey chicken poppers were mega. Pizza's as per the other reviews are highly recommended (not sure you can go wrong here : fresh ingredients & cracking bases). Handy for EK too as its a 2-3 min walk from the Busby train platform. Keep it up folks 👏 👌

Sunday afternoon late lunch and pub was quite quiet but bars staff said it had been jumping the night before. Lovely refurbishment and interesting style. Menu good choice and not overly complicated. Reasonable price and tasty food. The house burger was huge and the chips great. Kids meal sausage and mash prepared to same standard as an adult meal, nice to see that attention to detail. Only complaint was a bit chilly and they didn’t seem to have the heating on in the restaurant area as wood burner was lit in the lower bar area but heat didn’t seem to be reaching us. But that aside, would gladly go back. Very polite and friendly waiting staff.

Lovely setting trendy industrial style crossed with cosy local pub and atmosphere with a busy bar and real fire. Customers are of all ages which is perfect. There seems to be a friendly young service team with experienced owners/ management. Our veg tempura shared starter was much anticipated as one of our favorites but it was greasy and batter was too thick and we didn't want to finish it. We also had a cheese burger and fish and chips which we shared. Both were lovely but the fish was over cooked, separated from the batter but still tasted so good. The mushy/minted peas and tartare sauce we really very good. These details which i love really make the difference. So glad to have an independent pub in the area.

Brilliant pizza - certainly as good as what you'd get at a specialist pizza restaurant, but with loads of other choice too. We were served by the owner, who was lovely. And we were allowed to bring the dog. I'd definitely visit again!

I am very glad to visit this great local business that is presenting a beautiful and safe socialising point during these tricky times. Booking a table was a breeze. The pub looks very modest from outside but once you are in the premises you will find a huge area of outdoor seating as well as cozy indoors. The decor has a good contemporary atmosphere and style to suit friends and families alike. The pizzas here are authentic, Neapolitan and fresh made. There is a good range of drinks too to suit all ages. Staff were very friendly too. Overall, this is an excellent pub with a great selection of food and drinks, and a lively atmosphere to suit almost everyone.

Visited this place today. They have a new owner and recently refurbished. It has been taking over by such a nice warm friendly family. They have done wonders with the beer garden, it is looking fantastic. Inside is spotless, the have veranda seating and a large seating area outside. great coffee and they have a new chef and working on the menu which sounds fabulous. Had the Haddock & Salmon Bake last night and it was incredible as was the beautifully dressed side salad !! My boys had the special burger and a Pizza which they said were AMAZING too. (better than Paesano apparently!) The Seafood sharing platter to start was also outstanding, fresh and interesting selection. First time I`ve been since refurb and couldn`t fault the place or the food. What a gem to have on our doorstep, we will be back very soon ❤❤

Have passed this pub on my way to and from work for years and kept saying will need to try it. Finally glad I did .went for lunch and a couple of pints .the front bar is cosy with a wood burner there is a bigger sitting area behind and there is a hugh beer garden for the good weather.the food was great i had fish and chips .the best I have had in a pub a large beer battered fillet of fish and lots of hand cut chips and mushy peas .my wife had the Cajun chicken burger that also came with loads of chips .the service was also great would highly recommend and will be back again.

First time I've visited The Cartvale and 10 years since my partner has been here. It's been refurbished to a really high standard and looks great inside with obvious attention to detail. Bar staff very attentive and order taken quickly. The food here was outstanding and restaurant quality. The chef even took time out to come and speak to us making us feel even more welcome. A lovely man and quite obviously a very talented chef. Best meal we have had all year and will definately visit again. Looking forward to trying some of the other lovely food on the menu.

My daughter and I popped in for our dinner on Thursday night. We got a lovely warm welcome and shown to our table, the place was warm and bright. Our waitress was attentive and chatty plus quick to take order and serve. I ordered the macaroni and chips & my daughter had Cajun chicken, both came within 20 minutes, the Mac cheese was perfect, really hearty portion, traditional and cheesy and the chips were chunky and not over cooked. The Chicken I was told was not dry, suitably spicy and delicious. We then both had Toffee pudding that came with really creamy ice cream a large serving of Toffee sauce and Creamy custard, it was great, although we were struggling to finish as the portions were so generous. Finished with Coffee at a very reasonable price, I recommend eating here ideally at quieter times for very best experience. Looking for a fabulous night with Live music you can’t go wrong with a weekend at the Cartvale,great bands, good atmosphere, dancing and a mixed crowd.

Decor has been updated to an "industrial" look, and it's now contempory modern, looking, quite nice if you like that look. We were served by a young man, who was pleasant and courteous, but he was a bit unsure about the wines, and what they had available. Waiting time for the 1st. course, was reasonable, and the soup was tasty and hot! The 2nd. course was slightly longer being served, and, although tasty enough, all our party remarked on the vegetables being cold. We decided not to have the dessert, and no further drinks. Overall, it was an unremarkable experience, and we wouldn't rush to book again.

A cracking food serving pub in a hostelry desert. Thankfully accepts cards cos cash points haven't yet been invented in Busby. Brilliant night with half of Russia (it seemed) in celebrating Rabbie Burns night. Surreal but magical. Great pint, staff nice especially Donnie who was a greeting faced Hun bassa when we worked together back in the day.
