What a lovely place to eat at! The food and the atmosphere at the Ettrick is really brilliant. The staff made our evening particularly special as they were so warm, friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The waitress who served us in particular was just so nice and made us feel like nothing was a bother at all. When we arrived we were seated straight away in a cosy wee corner, the atmosphere felt so cool and relaxed. For those who haven’t been, the pub is split into a bar and a lounge through the wall serving food. They offer a full Indian menu as well as a menu of European and pub classics. My partner and I both ordered off the Indian menu and were very happy with our meal, everything arrived quickly despite it being a busy Friday night in the restaurant. I particularly loved my cauliflower pakora that our waitress had recommended, it was absolutely delicious! Portion size was also very generous. Thank you for a lovely dinner, it’s been a highlight in our annual leave week and we can’t wait to come back soon :)

Great place for a few pints and they serve up some great Indian food. We had the sharer between 4 of us and was good as a little taster. We all opted for the sizzler and I chose the chicken tikka with pathia sauce and it was great. Nicely cooked chicken and great sauce. We also shared a garlic naan which was smothered in butter and plenty big enough for 4! Definitely planning a return to try more off the menu. Football is also shown here and looks like it would be a great atmosphere when it's on.

The Ettrick is one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. Its beautifully decorated inside, the food is incredible. If you've been thinking about trying here, I would recommend that you go. You will not regret it.

Randomly one of the best places for a curry! We travel from Glasgow here for a curry all the time, every time we enter you can smell the amazing food! On a Friday Saturday there is usually an hour+ wait but you can go into the bar area and have a drink while you wait. If you haven't tried here then you won't be disappointed, between quality of food, service and price it can't be beaten!
