Really quick service, a roaring fire and great atmosphere. Only downside is that it's cash only, but to be fair, there is a cash machine on site. Sunday night Scottish music on the snug is amazing with John and the guys.

Excellent friendly staff..I was recently at a wedding here, absolutely fantastic wedding venue..& the meal in my opinion was cooked to a very high standard, chicken stuffed with haggis, I didn't take any food pics.. because I was far to busy enjoying the meal.. we had 130 guests.. everyone was raving about the wedding venue. Highly recommend...

Relaxed feel, oldy worldy and great drinks prices. Also easy to find when you come into the village, taxi rank, and has an historic back ground. Giving 4 stars as it really needs a revamp inside, it's a bit basic and plain inside and often cramped but it is worth a visit, especially on a hot day and you can sit outside at the beer garden tables.

This is a typical old man style pub, great for a catch up with friends as no loud music, the drink is also really cheap. The "monty" allows you to take your dog in with you and they will bring them out a bowl of water and make a fuss over them, which is great if you are out walking in the village. Friendly no frills bar

First time I've been there for a long time. I used to go Thursday and Friday nights. My friends and I stopped going when we had to queue to get in. Lately we've going down stairs as it's easier to get a seat at weekends. Lounge upstairs has changed dramatically since the 1970's. It was quiet on Thursday night although it was getting busier as we were leaving at 7pm to go elsewhere for a meal. Prefer upstairs in early evening when it's quieter.

Everyone's favourite East Kilbride pub ? Not cheap. Good range of beers, spirits and caters for the alcohol free brigade. Staff always turned out well. Good knowledge of beverages. Even know what a rusty nail is. Some places don't. No names mentioned. Dog friendly.

One of the best pubs in EK at the weekend. Quick service and friendly bar staff. They sell St Mungo Beer by WEST, in bottles and pints, which is a nice change from the usual beer on offer everywhere else. Upstairs has a nice atmosphere and is lively on friday and saturday nights.

The Montgomery arms (the monty) is a proper pub. It is not a football pub even though football is shown. Its more a bookies pub. The staff are all very professional and all have a good relationship with the punters and bar prices are fair. It gets alot of tourists who are visiting east kilbride as it is the oldest pub in east kilbride and all tourists are asked to sign the book which is still to this day the original guest book since the pub first opened. I would highly recommend anyone to go for a pint there.
