Outstanding pub. The interior is fascinating and wonderful - genuine intricate old design. The beer choice is outstanding, including Kernel and Ayinger Celebrator on tap. And most importantly, the welcome from the barman was super friendly and informative.

This bar is a trip to the past, with most of its design kept original from the late 1800s when it was built. Traditional and beautiful. A shame it's not in a better area of the city, but because of its not-so fortunate location you can enjoy reasonably priced drinks, including some very interesting cocktails!! Craft beers on tap always changing which is great. They are doing live jazz on some Tuesdays. We absolutely love this gem of a bar.

Like stepping into a trendy, comfortable, and dimly lit time machine, with a good cocktail menu and welcoming vibe. Glad it’s my closest pub, and glad any time I get to go. Were here located anywhere else it would be mobbed with a the same breed of person that destroyed the local feel of finnieston boozers and other countless “old man pubs” throughout the city A true diamond in the rough. The rough being orange lodges, countless supporters clubs bars, and other such malarky.

One of the best bars in Glasgow. A solid beer selection of rotating craft beer. An extensive volume of seasonal cocktails that would be at home in a hip SF or NYC bar. The atmosphere is relaxed. It's a perfect place to grab a pint with a group of friends or go for a pre-movie drink before the Odeon nearby.

I went yesterday for the first time and I think it will become my new favourite. First of all the atmosphere is amazing, the bar is beautiful combining the old with the new, there is music in the background just on the right volume and the cocktails are great! Secondly the prices...I was surprised! 6.5 for an old fashioned? A really nice prepared one? Ok my new favourite for sure...

Fabulous traditional style pub but with a very contemporary feel and attitude - catering, I think, to a real mix of ages. A newly decorated and beautifully designed basement space is used for functions and special events such as the celebration of Tom Waits music that was on tonight. A traditional/acoustic session was also taking place in the bar. Great atmosphere!

Bartender is friendly, and prepared me a great Negroni. The live music was superb, good song selection of song very well played, not too loud (though I will say the hip-hop on the stereo was off-putting). The place itself is very beautiful with antique photography and vintage wood paneling.

Great spot for some after work drinks. It's off the beaten track, near some pretty grubby bars. This one is the diamond in the rough though. They've got a selection of interesting beers which rotate every few weeks, and the staff will make you up some great cocktails if you like those. I can thoroughly recommend Craig's White Russians and the Bramble!

The interior of this bar is something special and while the surrounding area is a bit bleak it's worth seeking out. Went twice in one evening. The first time there was only one craft beer available but the guy who served me was friendly. When I returned there were no craft beers left and the girl who served me was very churlish.

Great bar, we visited at lunch time and were the only two in. I had the best pint of Porter I have ever had it was from Tryst brewery and was a marshmallow special. The bar looks impressive with the huge barrel wall behind large bar. Staff were entertaining and helpful. We were to early for food so can't comment on that.

Definitely my favourite bar in town.A magical and original victorian athmosphere.The smell of the old wood all around of you ,just the light of the candles and a very good music selection .It's possible to taste the best cocktails ever ,made by very professional barmans. Traditional old Glasgow pub re-invented. The interior (including a stunning gantry), which now sells real ales, craft beer and a selection of gins. There's also a quiz night, open mic session, folk session and occasional one off events. Well worth a visit, and a refreshing oasis in an area where all the other pubs are football thermed
