Great basement pub. Great staff. Surprisingly expensive beers on tap for the vibe they give. The food reminds me of the 90s, so definitely get the frozen Tesco pizzas if you're nostalgic for your childhood. Also, the food in their pics are no longer on the menu. Now just basic basic.

I have been using Record Factory for the last 6-7 years. I'm a huge Liverpool FC fan and the Glasgow Reds Liverpool supporters club meet here regularly to watch games. I hadn't visited for some time so myself and my best mate visited for the league cup final against Chelsea or should I say the Tories. They had made some changes to the furniture and layout which definitely improved the TV sports watching experience. Even if sport wasn't your thing I would highly recommend this place because they often have live music events and the food is decent once the alcohol has given you the munchies. Situated in a nice part of the city with great public transport links but remember the subway closes very early on Sundays.

Booked a table in the beer garden from 4pm. Had to vacate the table at 7pm. We asked if we could watch the football inside and we were told that we had to go outside and queue to get back into the bar. Not a great way to treat customers who have been buying food and drinks for 3 hours. Surely you could let us walk into the bar.

Nice bar, good atmosphere just a little overpriced to be receiving pints at £5 in plastic containers and Double Vodkas at £7.50 in Plastic.

Bit too expensive for me but to be expected in the city centre. Has a good drink selection and regular live music events. Highly recommended taking the opportunity to appreciate Get Out Strong, who are regular performers at the venue.

Dog friendly. What a find! Nearly walked out as the place was mobbed with a live orchestra giving it beans indoors. Found a signpost for a beer garden and took a pew, huge fabulous beer garden which gets the sun all afternoon. Loads of choices on draught, Brewdog Clockwork Tangerine, Estrella, Joker IPA, Guinness, Heverlee, Hope House 13, Blackthorn Dry Cider.... Millions of tables, good price drinks, event space available, live music, dog friendly, friendly staff, great service, perfect bar, looking forward to returning.

The staff were very helpful and the whole process of moving from outside to inside at 10pm went really smoothly. Someone checked on us regularly to make sure we didn't need more drinks and we were really impressed at how well looked after we were. Great experience, would recommend.

Great service from all staff, enjoyed some much needed beers and a good catch up on an almost sunny day. However one star lost due to no easy card tipping option for staff, had to scramble for coins which isn't great due to still being in a pandemic. Tip your staff properly!

Got a table not a problem. The only issue was with a drink orders.. check what staff brings you as I got a house whiskey that was not on the menu when asked for a different one and staff never confirmed with me if that is ok or not... In the end they handled the situation well and took the drink off the bill I was not happy at first that I was not asked or informed of the change. In general a nice place and have beer garden and good burgers too.

We had a great night here. Drinks reasonably priced. Great live music from new bands and solo artists. New band The Streams were there on the evening of my visit - sang all their own songs - they were amazing and the crowd loved them. They are there again on 30th March. Definitely worth going to see.

Had a good outdoor beer garden and the food was really good!! I think they've just updated the menu - the flat iron steak was £8 so we didn't expect it to be so good, but it was! It was cooked perfectly, pink and soooo juicy and tender. So good that we ordered two.

Great venue for live music, I’ve been to see a few smaller acts here and always had an amazing night!! Also good for big groups as all tables are pretty large, the staff have always been very quick at the bar meaning you’re not waiting in massive queues but they are still really friendly.

Quite a nice place we visited on a Friday late afternoon so out was really quiet. Lots of the tables were booked for later that night and i am told it's a good night out. First time here and we only had the one drink.

Great place to watch a live band. First time there to see Bombskare, who are a fantastic live band where ever they play. The drinks were reasonably priced in fact I'd call them cheap and its easy to get served. Did not have food, but it did smell nice. We will look at going back again.

i have been to the record factory many times and had great night, great atmosphere and great music. however i came to record factory last night with some friends, we had a few drinks but were in no way drunk. Got to the door the steward told us not tonight I asked him why he just said because I said so. I asked him for a reason again as we weren’t drunk and didn’t understand why he wouldn’t let us in, we were told once again because I said so in a not very pleasant manner. I walked away quite angry. Your door stewards have no customer service and I think is letting the record factory down.

A dive bar that's actually quite clean and non threatening. One of the last few places in Glasgow to resist being overly gentrified. They also have a pool table and the music is never bad.

Good atmosphere on a Saturday with the big band music on and a good mix of a crowd - from hipster to auld dear! We didn't get any food but the burgers looked good. Great size beer garden for the west end!

Have been is to this place a lot over the years, always friendly staff both on the door and behind the bar, foods pretty decent and every few weeks there are decent guest dj's on if they haven't got one of their own club nights on. Well worth a visit especially in the summer as there's a massive beer garden.

Great place. Listened to Bobby Dean's band. - The big band sound :). They're on every Saturday 2-5pm No entrance fee, great atmosphere and beer on tap. - Couldn't be better!

First time in this Byres road bar, very roomy, bar staff were very efficient and polite, good range of all types of drinks. The one minus was the toilets, why is there a guy in there with mens cologne who expects a tip for a spray, ridiculous.

Went to see a b7g new punk/indie band called Drop The Baby. Awsome & the acoustics were top. Staff lively & accommodating, not to mention friendly. Felt like a bar when I went in, a venue 2hen the gigs started & a fine place to end the night with a drambue afterwards.

This is a nice terrace, pub for drinks and food, but unfortunately they have a useless BBQ garden, burger cooker ( bread very burn, meat not cooked, no salad if you don't ask for it and a llooottt of time to wait). They will get 5 stars after they will solve the problem.. Thanks
