Scotlands first ever community owned restaurant ! This lovely place serves breakfast on the weekend and great meals during the week. We had 3 meals here in one week! Prices are reasonable and portions are large. They seem to be a tad understaffed, on a busy Friday night our waitress barely gave us the time of day. Might have to consider hiring an extra hand ! The interior is fresh and new, the food is delish and the gentleman running the place on the weekends is lovely !

This little restaurant/pub is incredible. You will 100% not be disappointed by the service and food. I have many allergies and the vegan and gluten free menu are something all restaurants should aspire to. Not only was there multiple options available but they were incredible. I’m not from the area but if I’m ever anywhere close to this restaurant I will be sure to return and bring friends and family with me. The pictures don’t even do it justice More people should know about this place

My wife and I have went several times now and through our recommendation many of our family members have went and we have all had great experiences, with friendly staff. The only negative thing I could say is that their coffee although good is exceptionally hot when I first comes out however as this is a personal gripe and people may like this aspect of the coffee I did not remove a star.

Never been to the Swan for years and then visited twice within a week with my elderly parents and disabled Auntie as its fully accessible for them and then back today with my family to taste the great food again. With big, well priced, freshly cooked crispy battered fish, and locally sourced beef for their Sirloin , burgers and steak pie we all agreed this place is a wee hidden gem and well worth a visit, Well done to Craig and his team for providing great food and excellent service and looking forward to our next visit.

I grew up in Blanton as the son of the preacher man and in those days the Swan as a bedraggled duck really. I went back the other day, some 48 years later and what a transformation. Great food, chilled out atmosphere and very friendly staff. Go there, it's worth it and they need the support. 👍

Great veggie burger and fries. My sister enjoyed the mac and cheese and approved the portion size. Plenty, not too much. The sticky toffee pudding was good. Lovely Pinot Grigio. The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit. All round, a high standard of pub food.

Went with my Fiancé, love Banton, lovely wee area. The Swan has recently reopened and look to be very busy. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere great. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is that the food was a little disappointing. I had the nachos and the "Banton Badboy Burger". The nachos and condiments seemed to be out of a packet/jar, and seemed similar to what you'd get at a spoons. The burger was well cooked but the bacon on it was a bit undercooked and left me pulling strands of gristle with each bite. The chips were also unseasoned. The place has only recently opened, however, and the locals seem to love it. I think they have done brilliantly as I believe the locals are the ones who bought it. Good on them for revitalising an obviously well-loved pub.

Great wee place for a meal and a drink or a refreshing cuppa coffee if that's what you want. Friendly cheerful staff It's also on the X35 and local bus service routes so you don't have to drive. Go on give it a bash.

The Swan, which is about two hundred years old, was completely renovated and nicely modernised inside. Whilst the excellent Chef was tempted away recently, he realised the error in his ways and returned happily, helping again to grow the establishment's already high reputation.💗 …
