Staying at the @premierinn I couldn't not utilise the convenience of the beefeater next door. We had dinner and breakfast. Interior⭐️⭐️⭐️ The interior is after all mass reproduced and you can tell that it has been finessed by multiple applications. Nevertheless its tasteful, appropriate and inviting. Service ⭐️⭐️ Overall the service wasn't horrific but there are a few points which didn't quite work for me. The evening service was fine but breakfast had a few issues The cooker food is cooked to order however they reduced the number of each element I asked for, although I am happy to order a bit at a time, the fact they did this without saying anything about limits made me feel very judged by the amount I was eating. There was no water on the self service area so after asking 3 times and being promised water, the fact they placed a jug out in the service area without even informing me was a bit strange. Then the empty plates, I did in fairness build up a bit of a pile but the fact no effort was made to clear empty plates meant that the table started to fill up, should I have kept using the same plate and topping up? Food/drink⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sticking to the evening service Starter - Chicken goujons - very very hot, the batter was a bit too dark for me, fryer potentially needed an oil change. Mains - Mixed grill - all the meats were cooked well but the lump on rump was a touch overdone to my taste of medium rare but nothing major. A massive and satisfying eat. One build would be that a yolk should be runny. The rock hard egg was a bit disappointing Smothered chicken - another solid eat, some tangy BBQ flavour and the coleslaw was tasty, even if the presentation was a bit messy. Dessert - Sticky toffee pudding - this was nothing special, it was very much school dinner quality but, to be honest, I bloody loved it!! Take it for what it is and enjoy the old school feels Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️ There was some issues and I think I would question whether this is somewhere I would reccomend for a special occasion but as a quick, cheap and cheerful eat. I would say this is perfect, does what it needs to and I cannot fault the value on offer

Visited for a large works Christmas party and the service and food were impeccable. I had a steak that was cooked perfectly and everyone else said their meals were delicious too, mix of traditional turkey dinner to beef wellington. The presentation was wonderful and atmosphere great. Could not fault in any way.

I had the rump steak and it was beautiful, perfectly cooked. The breakfast the next day was every bit as good. Everything cooked fresh to order, very impressed. The best thing was the service, the staff were all lovely especially the two middle aged ladies. Take note others, that's how it's done!

Staff are always friendly and the pub itself is very clean. Very spacious Garden area as well. The only reason i haven't put 5 stars is i have been a few times where i have had to wait long periods of time. Whether that's to be seated or for my food, but other than that i have had no problems!

Need more staff in the restaurant. Our main meals were waiting on the hot plates for 10 minutes. Should have sent it back as the steak was over done (don't know if it was the hot plates what made it like this) ordered 2 drinks which we had to wait 15 minutes for. None of this is the staffs fault, you as a business are letting these guys down.. I totally understand times are hard but you need to look at your needs within this business and schedule more staff on. .

It was fine although seemed a little understaffed for the numbers of people in there. Had a standard burger, all fine, but took an hour to come out and had cooled off by the time it arrived / chips gone 'less crisp'. I wouldn't not eat there again but given a choice I may go elsewhere. It's OK is about right.

Situated 10/15 minute drive from Cheltenham & Gloucester in a semi-rural location. Various menus on offer from all you can eat breakfast, lunchtime menu (served between 12noon & 5pm), Sunday menu & standard, so plenty to choose from. Being Friday we had fish & chips, with another person ordering Makani Curry, all.from the lunchtime menu. Good value for money & friendly staff

Visited for a soft drink last week during the hot weather. Initially we sat outside but the tables were dirty and lots of ants were crawling on tables and chairs. We moved into a bar area which was very tired and in need of redecorating. Chairs were also old and in need of cleaning. Rest of the pub looked ok and it was quite busy. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Friendly, helpful staff and ok food, but a spider and its cobweb in the long-since-dusted blind behind our table put us off a bit. My salad was nice but missing the rocket leaves mentioned in the menu. So, to summarise, good enough if you're passing by but wouldn't make a special trip. This pub is right next to a Premier Inn, so I assume it's where breakfast and evening meals are served for the hotel.

Absolutely fantastic garden service during lockdown yesterday, when we only stopped for a bite to eat when passing! Such friendly welcoming staff, a lovely little play area for the wee one amongst amazing food!! Loved it so much we are travelling over an hour to come back for lunch today. Cannot recommend enough with their updated menu. Update! Lunch today was fantastic. A t-bone worth travelling the country for!

It was better than I expected. Having not visited for the best part of 15 years or more I was pleasantly surprised. The menu has improved and is much more modern than it ever used to be, no longer just offering steaks. The service was good, staff friendly and the food cooked just right. It might seem hard to get your steak cooked wrong, but it was nice that the rare was just that and the medium was just right. It wasn't overly busy, though it was a late lunch for us. And it was a pleasant surprise to be able to use the Meerkat meals two for one offer on not only mains but also on starters and/or deserts. So a meal for four with the offer was £70 - not too bad really.

Lovely place with ample free parking. Booked a table at lunchtime for 6 people. Meals were a long time coming due to the chef overc cooking the steaks and having to do new ones. A free round of drinks compensated us but the overall quality of the food was average. The service from the waitress was exceptional and that's how they score a 4 star.

Very friendly place. The staff though a little short for the volume of people eating and drinking seemed to manage and cope. It accommodates the premiere inn customers hence why is so busy. And the car park is full and spaces tight.

Great choice on the menu, superb beer, good service, good atmosphere. Only downside is I'm sorry to say the food standard is poor, badly presented or just plain over-microwaved fodder. Children's meal was the worst and don't even mention the awful out of a packet dried up children's pancake. You don't see my 6 year old turning his nose up at pancakes normally. You don't expect Michelin standards at these prices, but still, plenty of room for improvement from the kitchen, see picture. I would vote 5* if they hadn't served me this and then tried to charge me extra for fixing it and then extra for something I didn't order. They corrected with no quibble to be fair. I'll definitely go back if not just for the beer and friendly service.

Context required as this is a 5 star review: it's a Beefeater. I'm comparing this one with other similar family friendly chain restaurants so please don't take 5 stars to mean fine dining. I ended up here, on my own, as it's next door to the Premier Inn where I was staying. Lone dining is never fun but other than the slight wait to be seated the staff here made sitting on my own a very bearable experience. The food was surprisingly good, both the steak I had for dinner and the cooked breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was cooked to order which made a noticeable difference from the standard hot buffet. The other thing worth noting was the modern decor. It was actually a really nice place to spend some time, even if I was sat on my own.

Excellent service, seen to our seats where we met our waiter who was very polite & efficient in taking our orders. Food was quickly delivered, hot and all 17 guests were very happy with the food. Tables cleared straight away, ready for the next course. Drinks served when needed during meal. It was a meal for 2 birthdays one being 16 the other 65 and it caterers for everyone's needs. Would definitely go there again. Out of all the beefeaters I've been to this was the better one so far. The pub its self is in a lovely quiet area and the kids area out the back was good for entertaining our little ones.

Not too bad the pub is clean and tidy the restaurant was pretty clean as well staff were friendly and attentive but food I'm.afraid was mediocre and on arrival off my roast beef dinner that was supposed to medium cooked but come out more than we'll done meat was tough and when served to us we was missing red cabbage and stuffing and was explained that's what came with it also on the menu honey roasted parsnips we got 1 roasted parsnip each I did complain about that and they bought out a bowl full more after its a shame really cos as I said staff were polite and friendly but food was a let down there were 5 of us 3 had roast lamb and all said the meat was stringy 2 of us roast beef which was way over cooked and was tough meal cost around £70

I was not expecting what I got at Twelve Bells. Warmly welcomed, the place has clearly been refurbished and looks great, the service was excellent and the food may not be presented in an enticing way but boy was it great. Had the meal deal so 2 course dinner with a drink plus breakfast following day. Excellent value at £24.99, I had a big mixed grill, beefeater style, with steak, chicken wings and breast, truly delicious mac n cheese with slow cooked pulled brisket, fries, smoked sausage,, coleslaw etc. FANTASTIC. Calamari starter with dip was just right and for 2 quid, pick any dessert. A truly good evening, excellent service and super relaxed breakfast following day. Well done Twelve Bells, we will definitely be back.

Booked for 20.45 and were greeted and seated on time by very pleasant Manager. Waitress introduced herself and took order. Food arrived promptly. All plates were well presented and food was good quality and hot. I qualified as a Caterer 50 years ago and progressed through all the chef grades and ended my Career as a Catering Manager. My Partner and I visit Here weekly. We are always Greeted Warmly. We enjoy the cheerful nature of the Servers and bar tenders. As soon as we are seated drinks are ordered. Drinks never take long to be served :) Graham And Chris usually Cater to our menu choices. They are friendly and nothing is ever a bother. The food is always piping hot and the portion sizes are generous. We look forward to coming back as soon as this latest lockdown is over with.

Lovely meal on their first night of reopening which we didn't realize until we arrived as we are not locals are were staying at hotel nearby. Booked table online very easily. Food and service were both excellent. Social distancing was very good sanitizer on entry markings on floor and one way exit. Seen staff washing hands and also wiping down hand rails whilst we were there very reassuring and a refreshing change as we have started to venture out slowly but been let down by other places. Would definitely recommend if was closer would revisit .

My daughter and I try to get away 3 or 4 times a year, and always stay at premier inns, because it's good value & you know what you are going to get. The 12 bells is, on its own, a great pub, great management, great staff, & a good offer, remembered our names & drinks. It is without doubt, in my opinion, the best "attached" pub we have visited in the last couple of years. Didn't manage to catch too many names, but Kieran, George and Emma stand out as stars, as well as a little lady (sorry) with an accent and long dark hair. You've made us feel very comfortable and welcome, thanks guys 👍

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff (particularly the manager). We booked under a pre.ier inn meal deal and had a wondering evening meal and breakfast the next morning with unlimited drinks and choices of continental and cooked breakfast items. Drinks can be a bit pricy but we didn't have many. Definitely would recommend if you have children as there is also a play area outside to keep them entertained with slides, swings and a seasaw.

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door on business the first weekend they re opened and naturally went in for a few pints and some food. Service was awesome, really friendly staff and management who went out of there way to provide outstanding customer service and make me feel welcome. The place was clean and tidy, staff and service top notch, good beer and clear lines and the food was on point. I got to know them a bit over the weekend and appreciated the personal touches like remembering my name and offering to book tables, remembering the drinks I like etc. If i'm passing through i'll definitely stop off again as I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Cheers all and hope management know what gems are working there. Keep smashing it :) J

My wife and i had breakfast, the first time we have visited a beefeater since 2019, we were greeted by a friendly young lady and shown to our table, our order was taken by another kind friendly lady (staff still lovely). Unfortunately when our breakfast arrived we each had two tiny bits of cremated bacon, a tablespon of beans, luke warm tiny hash browns, sausages were not bad tho, normal size and warm, all on a rectangular plate. It was nice to be back in a beefeater, maybe as things get more "normal" breakfasts will too. Still cant fault the waiter staff though, still cheerful after all they have been through.

I had the fish and chips which was very nice, lovely haddock with crispy batter other meal was gammon, eggs and chips, both meals were served piping hot. Had breakfast following morning, great choices well presented and also soya milk available on request.Would definitely return and recommend.

I meant to post this weeks ago. Graham and his team are doing a amazing job. Very covid safe even with difficult regulars that think the rules don't apply to them. The team deliver everything on trays or use napkins to carry hot plates. Even down to the door handles get wiped down. Definitely the best by far. I should mention that the fillet steaks were cooked to perfection as well.

Stayed at the premier inn for the early May bank holiday. Went in for tea Saturday and Sunday and breakfast Sunday and Monday. Well if I stay here again I will only use this for breakfast and find somewhere else for evening meals. Took along time between starter and main courses on both days. And who I presume was the manageress speaking to a member of staff then storming into the back pushing the door so hard it slammed back against the wall. Not a relaxing atmosphere when staff look like they are short staffed and rushing round to keep up. Breakfast was a pleasant atmosphere where staff walking and calm.

Went here for breakfast as we were nearby. This Beefeater seems more to cater for customers staying at the Premier Inn hotel on site and not for walk in customers. Breakfast was freshly cooked but overdone. Continental breakfast items seemed to keep running out and staff seemed slow to replace them. Cooking 4 croissants then staff expressing surprise to another customer 30 minutes later that they'd been taken just seemed ludicrous when our party of 3 people had taken two of them!! No organisation at all.

Oddly busy given that it is a run of the mill chain pub. 15 minute wait to be told that the restaurant had no tables for another hour on a non-descript Weds evening at 18.30. Seems a bit odd that, given a fair few single diners were waiting (the premier inn next door is popular for business stays), the host lady didn't prompt me to eat in the bar instead. It was only me asking that made this possible and therefore I was able to eat a tasty and relatively speedily served meal. They let themselves down with a lack of customer service know-how.

It was a pre-booked meal for 24 people of which 14 of us have MS with varying levels of disabilities. The welcome and service was excellent. We were all made to feel welcome and the staff were efficient and accommodating with our needs. Nothing was too much trouble! A section of the pub had been set aside for our party which helped to create a friendly and comfortable environment for some of us who are unable to socialise much due to restricted access and mobility. The staff, Frances, Abi and Jo were helpfull to a fault and were able to provide all 3 courses in a timely and efficient manner. Communication was excellent and the whole experience was facilitated with good humor and patience! Many thanks for a wonderfull evening and we look forward to repeating the experience again soon.
