We popped in today for a family meal. We received a warm welcome from Craig and the team and excellent service. My 2 girls were particularly impressed with Craig and his kindness. The menu had great variety and our food was fantastic! Everything arrived fresh, well presented and within a timely manner. The portions were generous too. This is a real gem of a pub and we're fortunate to be local! 😊 We will definitely be returning! Well done guys, keep up the good work! 🤩

Best meal in Cotswold. My husband and I selected this place in an impulse and frankly, in hunger. On our way back from our trip to Cotswold, we stumbled upon this right after our climb from Painswick Beacon. We hadn't booked in advance but that wasn't a problem. The friendly staff were quick to provide us a comfortable and cosy table. The menu was a spread of selections with Sunday roast for Easter Sunday. Husband ordered the Lamb Shank which was tender and juicy. It had a load of seasonal vegetables, baked cauliflower which made it worth the price. Excellent quality. Mine was a burger which was deliciously served with a unique chutney sauce. Great portion, top quality and excellent staff. Cannot emphasise enough how polite and cordial the members of their team were. One of the boys came up to our table to share some interesting historical facts and give us more trip ideas when he heard we were visiting from Southampton. Big shout out to him! The lady who served us was delightful and very attentive to our needs. Well done to the team!

After looking through reviews i decided to book here as a suprise for mothers day. The staff are very friendly and were always happy to help. This place has a lovely atmosphere and a cosy feel. We all enjoyed our food which didn't take to long to arrive all served were hot. The portions served was satisfying. Didn't cost to much to eat here. We were all gifted a box of Thorntons before we left which we wasn't expecting. Thankyou for the great service we will be back.

We visited as a party of six on a Friday night. Service was incredibly slow. We had to wait 30mins for our drinks and food order to be taken. Two of our meals weren't available - the beef & ale pie, and the fillet steak & ribs; and there was no pineapple to go with the gammon, egg & chips. The waitress put this down to them being popular. We had to wait a further 40mins for our food to arrive - and even then a relatively simple meal of gammon, egg and chips had to be sent back for being wrong. While the food, when we finally ate, was good, it was an incredibly frustrating experience. When we came to pay, the chap at the till explained that they were incredibly short-staffed due to a number, including the chef, isolating because of COVID - and he very kindly took the cost of all 6 meals off the bill. If only they had explained that right at the start, we would have cut them awful lot of slack and we would have had a far less frustrating evening!! And, if a number of meals are very popular then explain that up-front before guests make their selections. Better still, why not make sure to have sufficient stock. Your guests will go away feeling far less disappointed. 3 stars - not for the slow service, but for the lack of communication and the lack of favourite menu choices.

Had a lovely meal here with my daughter about a fortnight ago. She had lasagne whilst I had Hunters chicken. Both meals were lovely and at £13.49 for the two meals, very reasonable. Craig was waiting and was very attentive. Sarah was very friendly when we arrived and found us a table in the restaurant even though we hadn't booked. Lovely experience and the best pub meal I have had for a while. Thoroughly recommend!

Had to wait over an hour for food. When it did arrive, a number of the dishes had issues. After complaining, the gentleman on the bar looked after us so we only had to pay for drinks. Turns out most of the staff had to isolate so that explains the poor service. I would recommend better communication to their customers in the future. Appreciated them looking after us in the end.

Found this delightful pub, it is a greene king and wonderful vfm. I had lasagne, it was beautiful, and my wife had fish n chips which were also beautiful. Sarah who attended to us was a credit to the company, her service and smile was a joy. Thankyou.

We've been going there for years as locals, always been very happy with all aspects of the Kings Head. In fact, were very lucky as so many pubs are closing down around the country. Reasonable selections of beer to. 🍺 Oh, and a pretty big pub garden and plenty of parking.

Clean and tidy ,dogs are allowed which is nice . Personally I'm not keen on some of the menu I've tried a few of the burgers and find them to be very greasy. So I find the food does take a long time to arrive , I ordered nachos and they took over 45 minutes to arrive I'd understand if the bar was busy but there were 3 other people in the pub .

Just visited with my nervous rescue dog who unfortunately was barking whenever the server came over. Whenever I have been there in the past the food has been delicious. Tonight 3.7.19 I was very disappointed. There were 4 in our party. Two had Piri piri chicken burger with no salad inside the bap. The menu looked gorgeous just a shame the actual burger was disappointing. One of the party had hunters chicken that was burnt. How do you purpose to turn this around as when I spoke to the member of staff at the bar she said ok.
