I have been working away and have tried every pub and restaurant in Gloucester over the past 4 months, What a little Gem I found in the Gate! The draught beer is easily the best in town, staff make you feel like family and can't do enough for you, and the food..... by far the best Turkish meal I've had in years. Can't say enough good things about this place. Just try it!

Always such a great time when I'm at The Gate. The staff are amazing, H, Eddie and Ozzie, you're all so friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks are always spot on. My favourite spot in Gloucester to go on a night out or for a catch up with friends during the day.

When to the gate saterday night for a few games of pool!! Amazing service, very nice blokes overall had a brilliant night! Boss man gave me and some friends shots on the house. First night in month so of course was very greatful for that!! Will definitely be visiting again! Thanks again

so so nice! shisha was probably the best i've had in the uk and very reasonably priced, food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced also, very friendly staff and a nice ambiance altogether, pool is slightly expensive but I can forgive that because the pool tables and queues were in great condition so was a pleasure to play!

Absolutely wonderful hospitality and service coupled with delicious Middle Eastern dishes, well prepared and presented. We enjoyed a very satisfying Shisha and excellent capacino Took my wife and I back to some of our best memories in the UAE and Oman. This was a Mothering Sunday treat. Even our little poodle enjoyed it and was perfectly behaved. We definitely will return. Thank you Eddie and your team.

Absolute legends cannot do enough for you ...food was amazing ,service fantastic ,absolutely brilliant place to spend a Saturday night ,or in fact any night of the week ,garlic prawns are a must, beef sausage soooo nice ,all washed down with brandy coffee , can't wait to go again....😁😁

Loved it here. Went for my daughters 18th they made her feel so special. Gave us all a round of shots. Was only supposed to stay for one drink but ended up spending the whole evening here as it was lovely. Will definitely be going back.

Nice place in the heart of Gloucester. Friendly bar staff, great looking food (though I didn't eat it), great people watching outside frontage, and an outside seating area at the back too.
