R.We had a fantastic day in the Old Crown, the pool table is very level, well maintained, good pool cues. We played some darts also which were provided by the bar. The landlord and landlady are absolutely fantastic I couldn't fault them, we stopped in for lunch and ordered the vegetarian bean chilli which has a huge portion size and packed full of flavour. The mac and cheese was exceptional. We enjoyed the company and atmosphere so much we ended up staying and having our dinner there. I've eaten many bangers and mash in my time and the bangers and mash cooked fresh by the landlady had high quality sausages and rich mash with perfect onion rings perhaps the best I've tasted. Next time we visit Gloucester this will be number one our list. Great prices great food great beer and a welcoming atmosphere, what more do you need.
