Reviews of Toby Carvery Brockworth

Food was excellent. Service was brilliant. Queue was immense but 5.30pm on a Sunday was always going to be busy. The only let down was the heat. There didn't seem to be any air con on. Will definitely return as we often visit the Bike Park up the road.

We visited today with 2 friends for lunch , and we were all very impressed with the standard of service we received, 1st from the young lady on reception who was very welcoming and soon had out table sorted. Our servers name was Izzy and …

Came here last week as a party of 5. Friendly welcome and service and 4 meats to choose from on the carvery. A nice selection of hot vegetables. We all enjoyed our meals. My only issue (hence a star deduction) was that 3 of the party ordered a diet coke. They only had 1 small glass each and I was charged £3.30 per glass - £9.90 for 3 small cokes. Apparently you can top up your glass for free. We did not know this and the waitress did not inform us of this and whether there was an option to pay for only a small coke without the top up. So none of the 3 had a top up (although we had unwittingly paid for this). None of them would have wanted a top up either. I think this needs pointing out when you order. "Do you want the "top up" coke or just 3 glasses?" Our time was very limited and the venue was busy (half term) and as we came for a carvery we did not look at the menu but ordered drinks and went to the carvery without sitting down at our table first. Perhaps if we had had more time and had looked at the menu we might have seen about the drinks?

Nice Sunday lunch! Very good value for money! Well prepared & good quality food.
Nice surroundings & nice polite staff.
Good pint of doom bar ale. All in all a nice experience. Would definitely recommend
And use again.

Very fast service. Fabulous carvery. The pork was delicious and the vegetable bake was yummy too.
Ladies toilets were out of order but a notice said there were more loos.
Sun umbrellas in the beer garden are definitely needed.

Neither positive or negative it was good but with all the negatives highlighted what Toby can deliver.
Food is good but lack of taste.
Service is good.
Cutlery is dirty and the place is noisy.
But still cheap and at least have free tables for walk ins not as Beefeater.

First time visit and went for the father's day breakfast. Generally pretty good and staff polite but was a little lost as to how it all worked. On ordering at the bar was asked to take a seat anywhere.
After a short while realised no waiting staff were coming to take order followed some others over to a counter where various breakfast items were out and it was essentially just a free for all to grab (I presume) what you wanted.
There was no staff manning this breakfast counter so was all a little confusing. Would be worth staff asking if you've been before or acknowledge when you tell them you've not been so don't know how it works and to be advised what to do. Other thank this was overall a good experience.

There was no Turkey available and there was not a great choice of vegetables, Leyla the waitress was very pleasant and helpful.
We enjoyed the meal and would go again.
You get what you pay for, value for the cost.

Today I went to the Tobey Carbery with my husband and grandson. I am in my mid 70s and we had just gone on a train trip. Our waiter (Aimee) gave us lovely service and our meal was good. The pudding (Chocolate Brownie) was also nicely laid out despite the brownie being a bit hard. Overall, a nice dinner, would recommend despite having some flaws.
